I sheltered here with my pets during wildfire evacuation. The staff was so friendly and patient with so many refugees arriving, many with pets. Waiving the pet fee was a wonderful gesture, as well.

First room had an A/C unit that smelled like stinky feet and no black-out curtains. I’ve never seen a motel/hotel without black-out curtains. I was traveling with 2 young children and it was important that the room be dark so as not to wake them prematurely. Changed rooms and the second room also had an A/C unit that smelled like stinky feet, but at least had the curtain. The smell eventually dissipated as the unit ran. The television unit was clearly on its way out, as it would shut off randomly every 5-10 minutes. Finally got frustrated with it and decided to turn it off and go to sleep. About 30 minutes later, the backlight came on for a second and turned off, waking me up and startling me in the process. This happened another 4-5 times throughout the night, the TV lighting up briefly, then turning back off. Water pressure in the shower was abysmal, the included breakfast was mostly inedible (thank goodness they had bagels), and the beds were mediocre, at best. It’s also not really a hotel, it’s a motel that they’ve polished a bit (or at least attempted to). Don’t stay here.

Television doesn’t work, air conditioner pumps out a smell that smells like sweaty socks, water pressure is horrible and the shower and sink both back up while you take a shower / brush your teeth. Food sucked. Carpet felt dirty/matted. Beds are doubles, not queens. No microwave. Everything looks dirty and outdated and like they’ve just tried to cover that up with “modern” decor. Hated this place.

A comfy old fashioned open air style, but comfortably updated and modern, hotel near many businesses in the Silicon Valley area. It has spacious rooms, comfortable beds, and a charming inner courtyard that’s well planted and has a pool and hot tub.

Poor service. You have to ask otherwise you never understand how to ask someone to clean your room. You have to read all instructions inside the room to understand how to ask someone to tidy up your room. It is rideious. The logistic is not clear. I don't think many business people will spend time to read the sign. I thought tidy up room is a daily normal operation in all hotels. Maybe I am not too old fashioned. The breakfast time is chaotic. No bread and eggs.

The rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable. The staff was very friendly. The pool area was relaxing and fun. The Continental breakfast was good. I will definitely be going back.

Nice rooms, fairly quiet considering how open the layout is, which is what gives it the nice "flavor" to the whole place. Good breakfast that gets very busy! Will consider staying there again.

I am a repeat guest here at the Wild Palms. Stayed here a few months ago and I loved it so much I decided to come back. Everything about this hotel is very neat and comforting. I love the free breakfast as it is not your average continental breakfast. Everything is very tasty and there is alot of choices between cold and hot breakfast. The rooms themselves are really quiet and clean. Only drawback is there are no elevators but the hotel is only 2 floors so it's ok. The beds are really comfy and clean. The staff here is very friendly and welcoming. I love the location next to a major freeway. It makes getting to SF, Oakland, or Santa Cruz a very easy hour drive. I will definitely stay here in the future.

Decor bright colors. Clean outdoor areas. Front desk nice and helpful with my questions. Very attentive employee. I appreciate that very much. Nowadays, it is very rare to have someone be helpful and show authentic enthusiasm. Thank you.

Great experience at Wild Palms Hotel. We chose to stay at the hotel on a chance. So glad we did! Its located in a neighborhood type area. The staff was outstanding and accommodating. Our room was clean and decorated with a beach like theme. They provided robes, free Wi-Fi, and hot and cold breakfast. We were celebrating our wedding anniversary and they made our one night stay very nice for us. We will stay here again and recommend to others. Thank you!

Tripped upon this hotel, so happy we did. Customer service is top notch, it’s obvious the staff cares as if this were their own business (as a business owner I know how rare that is). Patrick welcomed us around 10pm Wednesday night, and took great care of us… I’m a light sleeper and he took the request to heart and found us the perfect room. When ever I’ve asked for a quiet room — at other hotels, it equates to a joke, so I appreciate that he took the time to accommodate us. Hotel is older, but Rooms are updated in a cool 60’s theme, very clean (you can tell the custodians take their work seriously) and spacious with awesome bathrobes for the pool! Over-all it is increasingly rare to find businesses who care — these folks do, and I am thoroughly impressed! Good Job Gang!

Amazing customer service! The staff makes the stay 100% better, they are kind and helpful, all around super awesome. They helped us find hiking trails, figure out another nights stay, and were overall super helpful. The rooms were clean and comfortable, with a pretty design and nice art! The walls were thick and we heard no sound from outside rooms. The only thing difficult about the room was that the shower is a little temperamental but really no problem.

First impression is good and so are the room and the pool area. However during my 10 day stay I found the rooms are very noisy: ice machine, early leavers, voices television, sex and fights of neighbours all for free and if you are at groundfloor you will hear footsteps and cleaning from the room above. If you’re out during the day you should be fine as it is calm during the night. Luckily I slept well but the bed is relatively soft. Also tap and shower are somewhat poor and as in many hotels in the US in a small bath (I still don’t understand it). Breakfast is typical for hotels in this range, far from special but it does the job, however already closes at 09:30 including doors are locked; you can only get out. Although somehow nice hotel, rating drops to 3 stars on details. And for what you get I feel this hotel is too expensive, but probably this is average compared to others…

Front desk is friendly and helpful. When I was not sure about the room price that I had paid, the front desk explained to me in detailed with patience. Breakfast is the only thing that we hope could be improved (not many choices as we expected). Recommend to everyone who needs to have a business trip in San Jose.

The colorful mid-century modern decor throughout the hotel immediately transports you to Palm Springs at it's best. The staff was incredibly pleasant and helpful. With modern-day amenities like the ability to communicate with the staff via text and towels that are softer than most Vegas hotels, The Wild Palms has perfected the art of Hospitality. I loved that we could crack the window open to have some ambient noise come in and at the same time, the heater worked very well, so that we did not get cold or have it running all night. Just a perfect balance. The staff was just amazing. I hadn't realized that the Mystery House required paper tickets, so mine were still on my phone. I sent a text to the front desk and they offered to let me email the tickets down and they would print them free of charge. Further, it was in the low 40's that night, so they were kind enough to hold my tickets at the desk until I came down for them in the morning. They were all so helpful and pleasant. If I'm ever in San Jose again, I'm definitely staying here.

Clean but extremely noisy: Friendly staff, clean but tiny rooms, decent amenities, good bedding, generous towels, ok breakfast but only for those immune to noise from every possible direction. An older motel that has been nicely remodeled, the Wild Palms is a busy place with paper thin walls and floors that readily transmit each and every bodily sound. The busy contingent of international travelers are very active at all hours giving the place a bit of a flophouse vibe.

Everything here is great, especially for the price. The rooms are nice looking. Front desk is friendly. They even left a note telling us they set our clocks forward for daylight savings. In a nice location as well. I would definitely stay here again.

Very friendly staff at the front desk who quickly took care of a room mix-up for us. Walking past the dressed caused it to make a wobbly sound as if there was an earthquake that got annoying really quick. The TV remote was also dusty with a long strand of hair; we elected not to touch it. The free breakfast was wonderful. All in all, there were some rough edges but it was good where it mattered most.

Very average hotel for the area. For the price there are nicer options. Doors open up to the outside and road noise can be heard. Beds were clean and comfortable.

Cute hotel with decent amenities. The room was well laid out and comfortable. The free breakfast was adequate, but nothing special. Overall, this was a very nice place to stay and I look forward to returning.

One of the rooms in the hotel was damaged and not usable and they ended up giving my room to someone else. Keep in mind that I prepaid and was "guaranteed" a room. They did set me up in a nicer hotel but they couldn't figure out how to pay for my cab fare to get me to the next hotel. I ended up ordering my own Uber. I will never try to stay here again.

The overall service, equipment and cleanliness is also good, to the business for breakfast can be, but eat two weeks or tired, fixed dishes have cereal slices, fresh milk, hot coffee, fruit juice Four kinds, a variety of tea bags, miso soup powder bag, two kinds of fresh fruit, three or four kinds of yogurt, five or six kinds of bread, rice (hard should be Thai meters), pickles and so on, There are two kinds of combination for not another day to replace, one is crispy bacon + fried egg liquid toast, the other is small sausage + muffin, the room of mineral water for money, as well as coffee capsule machine, the atrium has a swimming pool, but December too cold will not go down.

This was my second time staying at this location. It's not really in a walkable location, but is convenient for driving with a rental car. Rooms are accessed by open air corridors. The pool and hot tub are a great way to relax at the end of the day.

I can't really agree with the good ratings on the Hotel. The walls are so thin you hear every move of your neighbors. The breakfast was super small am most things were cold. There is a two day rotation of choices but it's very limited. I only give 2 stars because they moved me from a very terrible room right at the street to a more quiet room at the parking lot. It still wasn't really quiet but bearable.

The staff was nice and breakfast a plus, but it's older. Walls are a but thin. Pool area would be nice in warm weather.

We stayed here for 3 nights at the end of September and was very impressed. The room was beautiful, the staff were very friendly and the pool area was lovely and relaxing. I would definitely recommend and would go back if we get the chance.

The hotel was beautiful they had a beautiful garden ever where you turned. Staff was very friendly the continental breakfast was delicious they had really good coffee in the morning as well. Room service came early in the morning both days about 9am so if your not an early bird then put the little sign on the door so they won't wake you. I had an awesome experience and if I'm in the area I definitely will be staying with them again.

The rooms were clean. We had a summit and all of my company stayed here. We were well taken care of and the staff was very kind. There is a pool also. No complaints and I'd stay here again in a heartbeat.

Very reasonable price for a well maintained 3 star motel. Pros — Extremely friendly and efficient staff — Small touches that give you a smile like a weekly printed newsletter showing the weather and the points that we care about (check-out times, etc) — Price is relatively on the lower end. ~$110/night on off days, $300/night on work days — Complimentary breakfast — Maintained well (very clean, everything was working, pool was being maintained early in the morning) — Slightly modern decor Cons — Internet is limited to 4 hours at a stable 5mbps. When it's working, it's pretty solid — Walls are thin. I can hear people walking above and one of my neighbors alarm kept going off in the morning. Of course, you can hear the people walk by your room too. — Complimentary breakfast is very basic. It does the job, but it's not something you would take a picture of.

The staff were very welcoming and very responsive. The stay was really pleasant. Best part is the place is close to many tech companies at Sunnyvale and it's really convenient to stay there if we need to travel to nearby office locations.

The location is pretty close to freeway which was great for visiting other cities. The rooms were clean and nicely decorated. The service was helpful and efficient.

Lovely hotel. Very comfortable to stay. Rooms are just great and very silent. Easy to park as well. Plenty of space. Friendly staff. Wild Palms is in a great neighbourhood close to all the tech companies. Breakfast is just OK, because it's free. Very lovely! Would definitely come back when I am in Sunnyvale again. Can't wait!

Love the grounds and pool. Bamboo for ambience. Nice breakfast including hot buffet. Rooms have enough room and ac keeps it cool in summer. We got a pool facing room. No noise Friendly front desk.

The room is very good. The bed is very comfortable. Fitneas Small but there is everything you need:) Simple lunch.

Don't judge a book by it's cover. From the street it appears to be an 80s motel, but inside is a different story. The rooms a nicely designed, and the beds are comfy.

We really enjoyed our stay. The gentleman at the front desk when we checked in we're very friendly and helpful. We stayed in one of the Suites. It was very comfortable and very roomy. The complimentary breakfast way better than many Hotel breakfast. It included both hot and cold items. The only tricky thing was trying to find the place. We had driven by before we realized it. I would stay here again if I'm back in this area.

Stayed her for a business meeting. It was a great stay. Very accommodating and relaxing visit. Enjoyed early rises and eating breakfast in the lobby area.

So far my stay has been nice. It is located by a busy street but I am on the otherside of the building and can't hear the traffic going by. The room is cozy and nice. The breakfast isn't that great. But it is about average with other places that I have stayed at. The receptionist checked us in with no problems and was knowledgeable about the area. She also printed out some tickets for a play for us for free so that we didn't have to pay for it at the business center. Over all I would come back here again to stay.
