WARNING*** I would not ever recommend staying at the Babbling Brook Inn. We reserved two rooms almost three weeks in advance with confirmation numbers at this B&B only to find out that they accidentally gave one of our rooms away to someone else and admitted that it was their fault. For the second room, they wouldn’t even let us into our other room and asked us just to leave. We asked John the person at the desk to call his supervisor for s second time and he refused to do so. We then explained to him that this wasn’t right after we traveled all day to get there. Basically he didn’t want to deal with it, so he shut the door in our face. No lie, he literally walked into the kitchen and shut the door in our face. Here is the icing on the cake. He rufused to give me a credit slip to refund my $299 back and then decided to call the police. Yup, the police. Get this, two cops with sirens showed up who said this was not a police issue as this was a civil issue. Don’t say I didn’t warn you. There is no guaranty you will get a room with a confirmation number or a refund after they refuse to let you into your other room…

Terrible. Its a nice looking place, but the rooms are in dire need of mold mitigation, the towels are old and used (had to ask several time to get them at all). Kid at the front desk was arrogant disrepectful and could of cared less about providing basic hotel services, it was like we were a inconvenience… breakfast was bomb thou.

The babbling brook inn was a great place to stay. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The breakfast was great! There was no air conditioning though and the hotel was a good 15 minute walk from main attractions. Otherwise it was a great place to stay.

Really nice hide-away B&B love the staff, location & the brook that runs through the property.

Stay was mostly pleasant, but certainly not worth extravagant cost. Inn staff were uncreative in verifying the identity of my family members who weren't allowed to check in without me despite sharing my last name. Fold-out sofa bed was extremely uncomfortable. Wine hour and breakfast were tasty.

My friends were here for the night of their wedding and I was in charge of decorating the room. I can't say enough amazing things about how wonderful and helpful the staff was. They let us in, allowed us to check in for the couple, helped us decorate and more!

This little inn was fantastic including the service from the staff and the beautiful property. You feel like you are in a private oasis tucked in the heart of Santa Cruz. The breakfast was delicious and the bed super comfortable. Highly recommended.

Perfect, beautiful, quiet, … I am short of adjectives! It really is a little corner of paradise! Reception : 5 stars! We arrived in the evening, just in time for the reception. History of get to know the other residents and a good start to the stay. Breakfast : 5 stars! or even more! Rich, varied, quiet, … and the small dishes really delicious. Compliments to the chef. All served in a great hall, with a fire burning in the fireplace, logs, atmosphere cocoon very nice. Staff : 5 stars! Friendly, smiling and eager to help. The room : 5 stars! … at least! We had the "Renoir". It is large, on the ground floor, right next to the parking (convenient and not noisy). It has a small balcony without vis-à-vis with a table and 2 chairs, which overlooks the garden. Inside, a large bed, table, chairs, TV, wardrobe, bathroom with bathtub and WC. The only downside of this room is that being on the ground floor and very bright thanks to all its windows, the whole world can see in, suddenly, one is obliged to draw the curtains (which are not very practical), and to be deprived of the view. The other small black point, is this road a little-used passes just beside. This spoils a bit the quietness of the place. But if you are passing (or if you can make a detour) I highly recommend to make a stop here! You will not regret it. We really struggled to leave until we plaisions here.

Rooms are staggered throughout the site. Wonderful environment and hospitable staff.

Staying here at the Babbling Brook Inn was pleasant. The room was secluded, private, and had a great view of the courtyard. The only complaint is that the shower had either scorching hot water or ice cold water.

I just went in to check the place out but the staff was extremely helpful giving us room info and pricing, even showed me one of the open rooms. Definitely looking forward to staying here soon. It's got a beautiful location by the river and is very close to downtown Santa Cruz and the boardwalk.

Really peaceful and relaxing. This was a nice weekend getaway.

A fairly good place to stay. When having guests stay here, the staff seemed to want to tell us to get out of the Inn lobby. Otherwise, the grounds are very beautiful and it has some nice rooms!

Very cool place, tucked back off laurel but it feels like it's up in bonny doon. Very helpful staff.

We went for a romantic getaway — it was perfect. Lovely room, beautiful garden and walking distance to everything we wanted to see except The Mystery Spot and Natural Bridges Beach. Happy Hour and breakfast were quite nice (food is good but could be better). Staff was friendly and helpful — room was comfy and warm — view of the garden was serene.

We have now stayed here three times, returning each time for some quiet in a romantic setting and time away from work and home responsibilities. The staff is always great, especially accommodating to just what we need at the time. We have tried different rooms each time and each has been superb. Breakfasts are wonderful, fresh and hot, and we especially appreciate being able to take breakfast to the room sometimes when we are not feeling as social first thing in the morning!
