West Beach Hotels with a Pool

The service there was excellent and within walking distance of State Street. The rooms were clean and elegant. Parking was a problem as some larger SUV's can make things a little tight. Would easily stay there again.

It was very clean. It was very quaint. And the staff was very nice. The weather was great and the food drinks and atmosphere were good too.

This is the only hotel I've ever been to that has an option for 3 beds. Making it perfect for a girls weekend. There's a pool, free breakfast, and it is just a few steps from the Amtrak station. Also, it's directly across the street from softball fields, so it's perfect if you're attending a tournament.

This was very convenient to the beach and to all the beach side activities. The rooms backing on Cabrillo also have great little balconies with tables and chairs. Rooms were clean and well laid out. We would go again.

From the location of this property, management & the entire staff, I would highly recommend Best Western Beachside Inn for your next stay in Santa Barbara. The recent upgrades to the rooms and the breakfast areas are amazing. The GM, Harvey, is like family and treats us as such … our 'home away from home'. Regulars to this hotel, we just wished that we could spend more time in Santa Barbara with family & friends, including our friends at The Beachside Inn!

Great, reasonably priced hotel right across from the beach. We had our Board retret here and the staff was wonderful to work with. Highly recommended!

Each room different and nicely appointed, very good location. Classic style older design. Definite difference in room furniture depending on which room you draw, room has two balconies that are on opposing sides; one faces courtyard the other faces street side. Only one set of keys per room (1 for room door and 1 for front door). No elevator available and no ice after 10 pm as the front desk closes (you have to go down there and ask them for ice).

This hotel is amazing! I took my husband and 4 young children here for a few days. I love the play area for kids and the guitars that you can play. My son loved that! The community kitchen is different but I loved that you can cook your items and eat breakfast at the large table in the morning while being greeted by the friendly staff. I LOVE that they provide breakfast and they have the best coffee I have ever had at a hotel.

The bed is super comfortable, the location is ideal & the evening staff are authentic & lovely. They had a house music pool party which was not ideal for a Sunday as I was hoping to relax in some quiet vs. Loud music. The pool area also needs an interior designer badly to give it life considering its small size. It's value is really $80/night until the pool area is handled. It was an overall nice experience.

The hotel is beautiful! I believe the rooms were once studio apartments bc we have a full kitchen and decent size bathroom. They also provide complimentary wine in your room, wine happy hour in the lobby, breakfast, and free parking. Close to the beach, but I’m not sure I would say walking distance, especially if you have little ones. Walking distance to 711, a liquor store and small supermarket, they are literally on the corner of the street down from the hotel.

Location, location, location! We spent 3 nights and were able to walk everywhere! Never needed our car for the entire trip! Conveniently located between the harbor and the wharf! Beach right across the street! Tons of great restaurants within walking distance. Hotel has been restored with a beautifiul pool and hot tub, outdoor areas to sit and relax and a wine and cheese happy hour every night. Staff are friendly and helpful. First time here, but will definitely be back!

Excellent hotel right by the beach and a short walk to the pier. Old hotel but totally restored inside and out. Very warm pool and hot hot tub. Breakfast was small but ok. The free wine and cheese at 5:30 was the best. My only complaint: I specifically asked for an upstairs room when making the reservation and was put in a downstairs room listening to the kids above me run around.

Great service. Great accommodations. Knowledgeable and helpful staff. Ask for Marco, who has great recommendations on local restaurants and activities. Great hotel!
