Very nice and clean rooms.

To start, the main office looked like it was closed by the time we got there. Getting to our rooms, our keys worked, but the door just kept itself locked. Once in our room, it had creaky floor boards, my bed was incredibly noisy, the TV didn't respond half the time to the remote, and in our bathroom were a few other problems. Mainly, the toilet took forever to flush and the closets were "in repair". I didn't sleep well that night because the beds were awful. We were also awoken by an alarm that someone left I guess as a joke, but the clock was a few hours off. So instead of 6 am, it woke us up from what sleep we did have, at 3 in the morning.

The location is great its quiet and the rooms and service was good the service came about every day and the rooms r two beds and has a big restroom.

We Were in town celebrating our sons graduation. Of course rooms were scarce during this time and we booked a room with The Inn. The rate was $360 per night and we had booked two nights. The beds were incredibly uncomfortable and our bodies ached. We notified the person working the front desk who then contacted the owner, who then informed us that there would be no refunds. We had hoped we might find another room in town, but unfortunately they were all booked up. After that first night my wife and our daughter decided they would not spend another night at the motel and since the graduation had already take place drove back to LA. The room stayed vacant the following night and I slept on the floor on my sons mattress which was substantially more comfortable. A word of advice to the owner: I would suggest that you replace the incredibly uncomfortable mattresses with ones that might fit the $360 room rates which you seem to have no issue charging!

We’ve stayed for only one nighs and everything was perfect. The rooms are really nice. They gave us a double bed which we didnt need it. Location is good cause you are close to the 101 and not far away from the main street. There’s a College SLO and kids all around so it better not to be right at the centre of the town. Staff is super friendly and breakfast is really OK for what you payed, so do not expect more. Its a great value.

Another SLO hotel that gets away with charginfg $300 a night for $125 rooms. The staff is laidback and friendly, and that goes some way toward assuaging the guilt.

I stayed at this hotel after I had a rough time in West Hollywood. On short notice, I found the inn at San Luis Obispo and I couldn't be more happy with the place. I was having a bad time in the urban sprawl of LA. My partner and I wanted to get away to a place we felt good, which was San Luis Obispo. This hotel was available on a Friday night, short notice, and it had everything we needed. The service at the front desk was great too! I could not recommend this hotel. More.

The front desk guy was rude to my friend and the whole place was in need of a serious deep clean. Did not get any sleep because the people above us were loud. When the front desk called them they just got louder.

Recently refurbished hotel with comfortable rooms and beds. I needed to work during my stay but the Wi-Fi measured in at a weak 5 mbps. Limited selection at breakfast.

Great value. The man behind the desk was friendly and welcoming. The room was big and really clean. Breakfast was basic but there were enough options for us.

Room OK but you hear the neighbors (from below and next) as if they were in our bathroom.
Small and rough towels.
Correct breakfast: Waffles to cook ourselves (with a waffle iron available), bananas and apples, muffins and scones and cereals.
Staff not very welcoming: at checkout, neither thank you nor goodbye…

Fine inn, nothing special. Beds are adequate as are the rooms and the breakfast.

Floors were paper thin and made the family upstairs sound like a pack of elephants. Front staff didn't care. When hotel isn't even 50% full why not put more space between guest as the lack of soundproofing is an issue in other comments. Couldn't sleep till fam above stopped moving and woke up with them. Breakfast was stale cookies, expired yogurts, and eggs looked green.

Nice clean room, plenty of parking. Walls were a little thin.

If you want to be awoken in the middle of the night by drunk, belligerent hotel guests, stay here. I think they are boarding students here. Or trashy young people. Maybe a prostitute's workroom. 1:55 am loud knock next door: "you got to pay your monthly dues. " When I asked them to quiet down, it got worse. Unbelievable.

Air condition was bad. They did not help us… Room was terrible and the staff was very bad. Worst night in California ever.

Good stay for price. But the floors are not very soundproof. I could hear every single step from upstairs.

It was a perfectly acceptable overnight stay for me while I stayed in San Luis Obispo. It's a good value hotel for those who don't need any luxury.

Got assigned to a queen room when I reserved a king. Got switched to a king but was a poorly maintained accessible room. Broken door knob, no do not disturb sign. The motel in general felt like a clean 2-star motel rather than a 3-star as listed.

The staff is much friendly than your typical motel. The rooms are much cleaner as well. Beds are fairly comfortable, with the only amenities missing being a gym. It's close proximity to Cal Poly, downtown, and the freeway make it a worthwhile place to stay for a few nights while in town.

Great place to stay… room was perfect, and I highly recommend the hot tub!

The room looks nice but we had some issues. The smoke detector had been covered in plastic and there was an issue with the sink faucet not being tight to the counter. The room was not as clean as I would expect. I would not stay here again.

The room had a funky smell and the bread from the complimentary breakfast was stale. The rooms have a TV and a fully functionak bathroom as well as good lighting and two mirrors.

Oh I loved it! Great room not a single flaw. The complementary breakfast is casual and the service was decent considering the only staff I saw was the front desk mananger. Again tho, loved it!

Very clean room in good condition. Directv provided in every room. Sound insulation seemed to be a bit lacking — talking from guests in adjacent rooms was easy to hear (but could not make out words), and guests casually walking in the room above created quite a bit of noise in my room.

Very friendly and helpful front desk service. Room is cozy. Bathroom was pretty bad, but the mattress was just awful. Woke up feeling like I've been hauling logs all night. And since it's mostly the quality of the mattress I care about in a hotel, thus the rating.

We really appreciated the helpful staff, cleanliness of our room, and the affordable price. In every aspect, our stay at this motel compared favorably with the motels we stayed in at double the price. The desk staff was especially helpful, as we had to leave our luggage with the motel as we waited for our van to be worked on. They not only offered the storage space, but were helpful in moving our luggage into the space. The breakfast was nice with a good selection of cereals, fruit, etc. The pool is nice and also has a lift for handicap guests. We also like the TV, it was HDTV and lots of channels available. We will definitely stay here the next time we come to San Luis Obispo, CA This hotel recently changed hands, so the name 'Inn at San Luis Obispo' isn't readily discovered on the internet.

Stayed one night in September 2015 and will never stay again. Yes, it was a place to sleep and thankfully we did not spend much time in our room… it was dirty, under construction (plywood in bathroom under sink), no parking in lot, overpriced for the room, and the customer service was not customer first with a smile! Unfortunately we were visiting at a time when every other family is visiting adorable SLO, the Cal Poly move-in weekend for the freshmen dorms, ughh. We would have found a room somewhere else if it was an option, but it wasn't!

This is a decent hotel, friendly staff, nice pool (which is unheated), adequate parking, nice location (about 1 mile from downtown). Not much nearby besides other hotels, and a gas station/convenience store. Sometimes I have needed room corrections due to a fridge that wouldn't get cold, leaking toilet, nonfunctional heat. Some rooms lack microwaves or enclosed closets. Some bathroom sinks are tiny (like on an airplane). Towels could be newer and cleaner. The bar patrons next door can get loud at night.

We stayed for one night heading home from San Francisco. I was more OK with the hotel than my wife who found hairs on the floor and on the bed. Also the carpet didn't seem to have been really vacuumed really well. For me the shower was very cramped and the height of the shower head was too high for my wife. The front desk person was very good and helpful with any request. In the end my wife said she wouldn't stay there again due to the room being dirty.

Slow draining sink, sand paper nose tissue, their version of continental breakfast late starting at 0710. Begins at 0700! Probably that late to keep down costs. Won't be back.

Bad smell, bed not confertable. Nor recommended.

I am writing to share a complaint that I had about my experience trying to arrange a reservation at this hotel. I am 28 years old and was traveling with my younger brothers and sister, one of whom was under 21. The woman at the front desk was extremely unprofessional and gave us a story about how she would not allow us to stay at her hotel because she was afraid that we would allow underage drinking. I explained that we were not visiting the hotel to party and were taking a family road trip, and she gave me a long story about some San Luis Obispo law about how if there is someone staying at a hotel under the age of 21 that there needs to be someone who is at least 30. This sounds to me like age discrimination. Not only this, but she told me we would not be able to make reservations in the entire town. We drove across the street and stayed at a Days Inn. We drove all the way from LA to stay at this hotel and were extremely disappointed with our experience trying to stay at Best Western.

Me and ma frends wer ere fir almost 3 weekz and we had da best tym. Even tho we dint lyk da receptionist. We received the best service. Durin the weekends it gets really full so therefore weekends are abit hectic. Buh its a realy nyc area and da people are gawjus der. Da swimmin pool woz cleaner den comfort inn on monterey st. the bestest best western.
