Very close to Alameda beach, and to the local shopping area. Our room on the 1st floor was quite big and well equipped. Sweeming pool on the backyard not big but good enough for kids. Nice option to stay here for week-end or more.

Decent stay if you need to catch a flight. Only took 9 minutes to get to the OAK airport. Very friendly and helpful staff that allowed us to leave luggage after check out. Hotel could use an upgrade/remodel to be more modern.

This is where happiness comes to die. This place is absolutely terrible. The website had me thinking it was a resort. It was filthy and decorated with furniture they must have found on the side of the road. Internet didn’t work. Televisions have discovered the secrets of time travel because they were cutting edge technology when Kennedy was shot. Wife booked the place and started crying when we showed up thinking I was going to divorce her after seeing the place. But at least it’s close to a road so when you’ve finally had enough you can quickly step out into traffic, if you don’t get mugged before you get there that’d be a bonus too. This is why I have trust issues.

If you are thinking of the definition of "slump-lord" this place is the best representation. Cheap motel, dirty. Old apartment converted. Run down bed, furniture, counter tops, curtains, broken lampshades. I didn't want to touch anything. Yet paid every pretty penny for the room. It's the type of motel stood in time from the 50s.

Very old and singly place. We stayed only 1 night instead of 2. You get what you pay for. Besome AirBNB are better than this place. : (

The staff was friendly an the rooms are decent for the price. Located in a great area.

Comfortable and clean. Decor is a bit dated but the rates are bargainish for Alameda. Will stay there again.

The inn was in a great location — waterside location blocks away from downtown Alameda and across the street from the mall. The inn itself was a little old, but charming in it's own way.

They put 2 towels in a room booked for 3 people. When we asked for another they sent the maid to tell us they dnt have any more and we have to wait for laundry to be done! When we checked in the 2 people at the desk were rude. Only good thing about this place was the location.

It's a great place cor. The art vi e. Old school not fully upgraded. The front desk was a bit slow.

Nice hotel with friendly & helpful staff. Rooms are large, neat, and clean. Some rooms have full kitchens. It is older, but is kept up. Small lake behind that some rooms have a private view of. Nice pool. Plenty of free parking. Shopping plaza across the street & another just a block away. Area feels safe. Great prices. Really enjoyed my stay here.

This place is horrible! The room was ok other then is had a bit of a stagnant smell of old furniture and cigarettes. The evening staff member double charged my boyfriend and I and swiped his card after I told him not to. He understands and speaks English very poorly so why he's working in customer service is beyond me. I was able to get my money back after asking my bank to fix it since I was told by " enough" the front desk guy that my transaction couldn't be reversed. Which had he not swiped my card like I asked him to it would have never been a problem. All and all the rooms are cheap with is nice but the evening staff is very unhelpful and is likely to double charge you. He was also very rude to 2 other people who were attempting to help him understand the situation.

It's not very clean. But the location is very good. Nice and close to the water. The bowling alley near Coral Reef Inn is nice.

The service was decent but the rest was horrible. The room was dirty, broken, and very musty. The table was broken the heat and air was broken. The crib I was forced to pay extra for was also disgustingly dirty and very old and broken. For $200 a night the best thing about this hotel is the location. A refund or a portion of one would be nice. I would not recommend this place to anyone! Ever!

Upon arrival the hotel looked decent and close to the water, that is the only selling point of this hotel! Drove here from out of town to take my 5 year old to the "big city" because he's never been, all was well until 6:55am the next morning when the sounds of a jackhammer or earthquake startled all three of us out of bed! Literally almost causing my husband and I a heart attack! Then after calling the front desk I get the runaround about the manager and he will call the hotel soon. 8:30am rolls around, still no word from the manager and was told by the receptionist that she called him several times and even sent him a text message… So we tried let it go, we didnt want it to suppress all of our fun from the day before! I decided to let my son play on the balcony while we packed up, it had a good view of the lagoon and all was well until he brought me a cigar roach with MARIJUANA in it… # (%) @& $@'@&#-$ ;"-#'@"# &&$# ARE THESE PEOPLE IRRESPOBSIBLE OR WHAT? Its a non-smoking facility and they can't even check the balcony for trash? I get that it's legal now but a child shouldn't be touching drugs… for god sakes! On top of that the carpet was retched and sticky so we had to keep our shoes on the whole time. Overall this hotel puts on a great facade but intentionally ruins it by the lack of "wow factor" that they make it seem to have.

Out dated but very clean hotel. Great price and conveniently located across the street from a huge plaza of stores and food. We enjoyed our stay and would have stayed longer if management would have allowed us to. They have a max amount of days you can stay before you must be gone a night then come back. With a small child it would have been a hassle to do that so we went to another hotel. The only negitive thing I have to say are that the manager and the front desk staff seem annoyed when you ask them for anything and the shower was not great it came out as a mist.

This place sucks. It's old, run down, dirty and more importantly there are bed bugs in the rooms/beds. I was bitten and have the bite marks all over my body. The ad made it look like a 5 star hotel and it's NOT. The white socks turned black from walking on the carpet. We stayed and watched them clean and they didn't even vacuum! The heater didn't work nor did the shower and we couldn't get the door open. They switched us rooms so many times and we still were not satisfied. I am most likely going to seek legal action because of the bugs.

Great rooms, has full kitchen in suites. Unfortunately only had time TVs, otherwise a great stay in a great location.

When checking in their policy stated that they are not responsible for 'your' things left in the room (in the event of theft). Upon leaving to go to the warriors game my dad decided to check the sliding door and it was unlocked and slightly open. The vending machines didn't work even though I was told by the front office to purchase water bottles from them the signs in both vending machines looked as though they've been inoperable for a while. All in all, check out the Windows and sliding door before leaving your room. Moreover, take photos of your things b4 leaving (especially if you have renters insurance). I did. Overall, decent place for a night but be cautious.

Quiet beautiful lake view of the room. Friendly staff. He has a kitchen. 30 minutes from San Francisco. It is a hotel that is like its original version. Just change the subject of TVs that are old. We had a super good family.

I had not known (in my life) so dirty in carpets, beds, curtains… It is offensive to emotion and for every guest, the terrible thing of the hotel I've been visiting… for 6 years and I can tell; That the owners and or owners… They are not interested in your investment and that at this time; Where globalization demands all sectors (generators of change in the economy of the United States of America) that frustration provoked my hotel.

Old and dated but if you get a room on lagoon side it is great to have your morning coffee on the patio and watch all the bird life. Full kitchen but not enough utensils. Nice beds, couch, TV.

Although the service was ok, the rooms felt dirty and smelled of sewage. The rooms remind you of something out of the 70's. The rooms were not updated and the floors were dirty. It just did not feel clean at all. They do not have an elevator so you are having to carry your luggage up the stairs. We did not sleep in the beds they were not clean, they only had two towels in the room for a family of four, we ordered the towels and no one ever brought them up so we ended up going down the stairs to get them ourselves. By day two, we heard a man arguing with someone about killing someone so my family and I left and by the time we returned a swat team was at the hotel and had arrested the same person we had seen arguing with the staff. Needless to say this is not worth staying at, find yourself another hotel to stay at, this is a motel not a hotel.

Feels shabby. Dirty carpets, peeling paint, banged up furniture, old style CRT TV in room. Minimalist breakfast selections. Decent pool. Close to shopping/Starbucks. Beds fairly comfortable.

Think "Old Motel". The rooms have an off odor and are kinda clean just don't look too close. Carpets are stained. No signs of bedbugs in the bed frames/mattress. We stayed twice at the beginning and end of a trip since we were flying out of OAK. Uber cost between $11 to $13 to go from OAK and Coral Reef Inn. Our rooms had a mini frig. And kitchenette but no dishes or pans, you have to ask the desk to find this stuff in a side room. The offer free breakfast which is coffee/OJ with packaged danishes, cold cereal, yogurt and donuts. For us it's a lot of sugary carbs that got old quick but to each their own. A few times we asked the front desk for information about things to do in the area. They we quite helpful and provided good times to account for traffic. Directly across the street is a nice/new strip plaza. The plaza has a gas station, drugstore, Trader Joe's (open 9-9) and a Safeway grocery open 24 hours. It's an OK place for our needs, if ever flying into OAK again I would probably look around some more.

We love this place. Though it is a little shabby as older hotels tend to be it is very clean. The grounds are lovely. The view from the water side is something more expensive hotels can't buy. The best part is the beach is less than a block away.

A joke. The kitchen had: One spoon, one knife (found after getting a chair to reached it hidden on a top shelf), one small and one normal plate. What's the point with an oven? We were four people… Stains on the floor and not enough towels for all of us. The pool area is very small. Not enough breakfast for all. Unfriendly staff. And when we wanted to check out: The kid had to close down the front-desk to go to check our room before he would give back the 100 $ deposit …

Hotel clean but request to be renovated. Very good reception. Think about having breakfast early, if not more choice.

Good basic budget lodging. Needs updated and better cleaning. Good location. Nice people.

Best value for a hotel in the Bay area imo. Great location. Way better and safer than staying at the motel 6 in embarcadero. The furniture is pretty outdated. And could be bit cleaner. Still, a pretty chill place to stay.

This motel is right on the water on Alemeda and across from a shopping center. Each room has a kitchenette and a balcony. Very spacious. Great value and extremely convenient.

Worst Wi-Fi on planet earth, expect to spend 10 minutes trying to get about two minutes of Wi-Fi only to lose it and spend another 20 minutes trying again. I stayed here in November and then again now because this is where my employer choose. I would never stay here by choice. The employees are aware of the problem but do nothing to remedy it. I couldn't even submit this review without losing Wi-Fi.

Solid location right next to the ocean and a large shopping area. The rooms were okay, but definitely not anything close to special. The pool and public bathrooms were tremendously gross. Also a bit overpriced. That's said, it served its purpose — a place to sleep for the night — quite well.

Came for a weekend trip since we were going to the football game. Booked thru expedia. The front desk lady was very nice, gave us some tips as well as upgraded our room to a suite free of charge. The room was like a one bedroom apartment. It was clean and comfortable. The location is also convenient we were able to hit up a sports bar nearby there's a shopping center with restaurants across the street and access to a beach walking distance. Overall this hotel exceeded our expectations. We will be staying here again!

A little outdated hotel, but clean, friendly service, very good free Wi-Fi, free parking, shopping mall across the road, easy access by car or ferry to San Francisco. Located outside crowded tourist areas, but just around the corner. Good value for money for nature lovers with attraction to people.

In comparison with the existing San Francisco offer, is very good economic choice, while Alameda is retired from the San Francisco Bay, just that cross the Bay Bridge by public transport or car (look at traffic jams).
The hotel is very quiet and has areas with garden and pool, overlooking a lagoon. The rooms are spacious apartments with kitchen, refrigerator and microwave. The beds are very comfortable, the appearance of the room is not very current, as well as the furniture, but they perfectly fulfilled its function.
Correct breakfast, has bread of various kinds, butter, cereal, milk, coffee, yogurt, donuts that bring newly made early, various roasters.
The Wi-Fi is not very good, works perfectly in the reception and at breakfast, but in the most remote rooms, just get the signal.
