Nice hotel with kitchenette but empty! Bring your plates your cutlery. 2 standard beds. Tiny bathroom. Lunch rather sketchy (fortunately you can make waffles)

Nice room and good coustmer service and nice bathroom to take a nice tub in had a nice stay there.

I love this place! I just do, even though you may feel differently. I love the staff and thier whole getdown. The rooms are just what you need with out the stuffiness. Super chill and pretty reasonable on a regular basis. Free breakfast and great staff! Most rooms have two separate privacy barriers like a DOOR!. With a flat screen in both! Mom… Dad. You know what I'm talking about!

The rooms were very reasonable, we have a family of 13 we we're well taken care of. The rooms were very clean, I was pleasample surprised tjat each room had a living room with pull out couch beds a kitchenette as well. The bed and pillows were comfortable. The fence surrounding complex was a plus. The neighborhood was quiet. We stayed for 3 nights. Highly recommend this place.

The room was clean and staff was helpful. Good value for the price. We will stay there again.

Funky—old—Ad said that it was a suite with a king sized bed and a sofa bed. No sofá bed. It was a big deal for me because I was with my adult son. When I called the office about it the clerk began to argue with me about it. There were no utensils in the kitchenette either so I could not cook the food I bought. The ad included the info on the kitchenette so I had assumed that both sofa bed and kitchenette would be useable. Multiple things didn’t work in the room. It had two large-screen TVs but only one worked. Strong odor of mold and funk. Silly me—I expected the room to have the things it advertised. Never again!

I have stayed here a total of 4 days on 2 different times. If the price is competitive at time of booking vs other hotels I always choose this one. I like it very much that it has a 2 areas, one for sleeping and the other living. Its like a little studio apartment. Very different.

First room that was given to me was not in the best condition, after speaking with the front desk they made arrangements and changed the room. Different floor but better living conditions.

Biggest rooms in SD. Living room, sink, fridge, two really comfortable beds, a large wardrobe. Simply one of the best hotels in San Diego for the price.

Its smaller then expected inside the rooms and the walls have worn out. My rooms blankets were literally bedsheet thin pillows are small so they come with 3 per bed. The room was worn out especiallg the bottom of the entrance. The lighting mainly comes from lamps and the stove even though a plus is very worn out. The building is split into 2. The main area does not have the stoves. Parking can also be a hassle because of the small space for so many rooms as well as having ice from an outside storage.

Staff very friendly. We were trusting that this place would be nice, after all it is a Howard Johnson facility. This facility is pretty shaby, but guess you get what you pay for, not the best neighborhood. First two nights were ok. Then Saturday all broke loose. We are travelling with a 6 & 2 year old, but keep them with us at all times (after all, this is not their back yard). There were lots of kids just running all over the place unsupervised using the walkways around rooms like a running track until very late into the night. In the swimming pool kids had Cheetos & dropped them all over leaving a mess aroud the pool. They left there trash all around the pool. It is still there at 11:30 this afternoon. This morning we watched a mother sitting on curb out side her room lighting her crack pipe. Man down a few rooms was standing out side his room smoking tossing hi cig butts buts all over. I'm a smoker & went to far corner of parking lot to smoke. I do not leave the butts on the ground. My ciggs are put out and butt put in the garbage can. I picked up quite a few of his cig buts this morning & threw them away, but there are still some out there. Needless to say, not a very pleasant experience.

Staff. A lot. CORDIALW and generous breakfast.

Clean neat and ghettoish. Police and helicopters the first night. Water was hot and TV and internet we're good.

Very bad service. They stole my sheets and didn't lumpian you well. I'll esculcan your clothes drawers.

Great experiences for my kids and I. Clean rooms, clean beds no problem at all. Best hotel I have been Really recommend.

This place is the worst place to stay. OMG there were baby roaches in the bathroom, nothing was clean we had to sterilize everything. The television is the bedroom didn't work either. When we complained about it the person at the front desk was very rude abd not helpful at all. Do not stay here if you're looking to relax and enjoy yourself.

This is an incredible establishment. I love the homey feel of the room it's like a 1 bedroom apartment. Very roomey no problems with the kitchen appliances. Very friendly and attentive staff. Love that there was a bathtub which are hard to come by in hotel/motel establishments any more. Excellent breakfast accommodations. And a general grocery store, mini market as well as laundromat and about 5 spots to eat at all within walking distance. Close to interstate 5.

We got a room with a kitchenette and everything was clean, worked great. It was cozy. Staff was attentive, friendly and well mannered. Enjoyed relaxing watching some t. V. NO problems connecting or staying connected to Wi-Fi definite plus. And enjoyed a hot bath. Not able to do that at other hotel/motel locations. And superb breakfast meal offered.

I loved my stay here. Mike at the front desk was always courteous and very helpful. I would recommend everyone to come here.

A very nice hotel, despite being small is very cozy and has everything, very good service.

I love the room's they are clean, and always friendly customer service. There is also a good slection for breakfast. Near buses, and the trolley. Many restaurants too.

Overall I had a good stay here. The bed was a lil stiff but the sheets were clean and there were no bugs in the room! The guy at the front desk (I didn't catch his name) was very helpful letting me know things to do in the area.

This motel far exceeded my expectations. We were forced out of our apartment by mold and selected HOJOs because it was so close. The low on-line ratings nearly scared us off, but its closeness to home over rode our trepidation. To be sure, this is not a fancy, high end motel but it is a shining example of what it is, a clean and comfortable place to stay. Everything was very clean. The bed was actually quite comfortable. We had a refrigerator, microwave and a stove. We never heard a peep through the walls. The management worked with us as we had to extend our stay. The housekeeping staff was very nice, efficient and accommodating. I would enthusiastically recommend this motel. It's an outstanding value.

This hotel doesn't even deserve one star, and honestly should be shut down. The rooms were super small, barely even a kitchenette in them. Kitchenette literally comes with nothing inside, not cutlery, plates, literally NOTHING. Curtains, tub, bed, couch, and floor had BLOOD on it. Multiple types of BUGS were found in tubs, on top of pillows, and inside blankets and underneath sheets. Kitchenettes were NOT CLEAN, rooms smelt musty, and unclean. I was unsatisfied with the first room we were given, so we walked around almost the whole property trying to find a clean room, and after seeing FIVE ROOMS, the manager finally gave up, and said very rudely, "Fine, I'll give you a full refund, I don't need this. " When before he had said that if we canceled our reservation, we would have to pay for one whole night, even though we had just checked in. do not stay here, by any means.

We stayed here during San Diego Comic Con weekend and it was great! The room was clean as well as all the linens and towels. We stayed in a suite that had a kitchenette that worked well. I liked that we had 2 flat screen tvs, one in the sitting room and one in the bedroom. I liked the vanity/sink, it was well lit and wide enough for 2 people to use at the same time. I didn't like how small the bathroom was. It was tiny but the tub/shower had great water pressure and temp. The staff was friendly, accommodating and helpful. Overall, I would stay here again!

The location is great, 5 minutes from the trolley station. Stayed here for comic con. Not a bad decision. The room is nice with all the kitchenette amenities you could ever need (microwave, mini fridge, coffee maker, and full sink). Small swimming pool, about 5ft deep. The check in process was straight forward and quick, deposit of $100 for security. Gated parking is nice and I enjoyed the air conditioning. The Wi-Fi sucks though.

The WORST hotel experience by far. I do not recommend anybody staying at this filthy hotel. There was hair intertwined in our bathroom towels and our AC unit was not functioning properly. When the manager came over he said it was working properly, however it wasn't as cold as the other room. When I mentioned if we can get another room he gave me attitude and gave us the option to check out. He eventually gave in and gave us another room. That room was just as bad for it had hairs intertwined in one of the bathroom towels as well. In addition, the room keys didn't work either. The door wouldn't open for us and after trying multiple times we called the front desk and one of the employees cane over to try and open it. He too was having difficulties trying to open the door. He then called over I'm assuming the manager and even he could not open the door. They even tried with their universal key opener and still couldn't open it. When we asked for a refund they were reluctant, but after telling them what we endured they finally gave in. This has been the worst customer service and hotel experience ever. I do NOT recommend this place to anyone. Stay away at all costs.

It was alright, the beds were a little stiff and you could feel each spring in the futon. The internet also kept on signing us out and we kept having to redo the log-in. Other than that, it was pretty good for an overnight stay. The cable was nice and the service at the desk was pretty good. They even gave an extension Might go again someday.

We stayed here from 6-10 to 6-14 Had a family vacation from tucson Az. It was a nice stay we had a lot of help from front desk Person Mike. He was very nice. We got 4 rooms and all were very nice. Bad note a housekeeper stole my mother's ear rings from her room. We checked out early. It was about 20 minutes from sea world and 20 minutes from imperial beach.

The room was spacious and clean the oven did not work the staff was courteous and friendly very helpful I enjoyed my stay I would definitely come back it's close to a car wash a grocery store a bar liquor store the location is awesome simply fantastic I definitely recommend.

Cold ac, nice flat screens.

The place is ok but do not trust the Front Desk/property manager lady name Cheryl Hall, she works from 7am to 7pm so she can steal ur money and the motels money as well. We stayed here for awhile and when I pay to her in the morning and she gives me a reciept, in the eveving when I return to ask another desk clerk for a reciept the amount I paid is totally different from the reciept that Cheryl gave me. If you are paying with cash she will charge u with a higher rate and the moment u turn around she changes it in the system into a lower rate so she can pocket the extra. Do not give out ur credit card as well because she uses it to order her goodies on amazon and you'll be surprise why ur card has charges, she will also use it to charge u for extra days that u didn't stay. And absolutely no refund! Ifbu happen to stay weekly and decided to leave early, u will not get any refund at all, but once u leave she will fix the stay in the system that you've only stay for a few days and take the rest of the money again. A few friends had stay there and had the same complaint over and over. She be friended me thinking that everything she was doing was legit until I found out that all my reciepts has different amount to it. I told her about it, and what she did was delete and blocked me on Facebook. Brought the issue to the owner and his answer is she steals money from me (the owner) not you, (myself) and it's obviously ok for him to have her take peoples money.

Good location great suite. Room for us all. Happy.

It was decent, the room could be reorganized to where the ac unit and TV could be in the same room as the bed, but to each is own… overall, the room was pretty clean, and the customer service was workable, it's understandable, given the area yhe hotel is located. The parking could use some work, pretty difficult to maneuver in between two monster trucks in a full parking lot and only 20 parking spaces. Yet again, to each is own.

Me and my family, (dad an baby girl age 2 &me, mom) stayed for one wk upstairs rm. #, 221on dec. 27'2014 untill jan. 2'2015' an we really loved it here. Staff is very accomadating an is very friendly. Then we come back rent a downstairs room which is 112-an its around 6/7pm.

Very quite. I had read a fairly negative experiences but for the price and the service is very good. Bath and all have a living room that was a surprise, beds. With podo money is perfect. The care was very good the girls in the front office and is 7 minutes from the Centre.

Initially I was put off by the location and what seemed to be a sketchy environment but it turned out to be completely fine. My friends and I got the "Super Deluxe Suite" which had two rooms, the front room with living room and kitchenette and the back room with two full size beds (new mattresses and big fluffy pillows) and a recently remodeled bathroom. Also there is an awesome breakfast place called "Annes Pancakes" that is literally a 2 minute walk away. The smell of the room was sort of a put off but after we got febreeze it was no problem. For the price and the size and the newly remodeled rooms (new carpet, new matresses, new pillows, new interior decor and new sheets) this place isn't half bad. Not to mention it is right off the i5 which really makes it convenient and easily accessible.

Had a great stay, comfortable beds, clean and sanitary, large spacious living room with separate room for the beds and bathroom, Helpful and attentive front desk staff. Will be returning for all future stays in San Diego.

I just relocated to sunny San Diego from Kansas City and found the Traveler Inn & Suites South Bay where I stayed for one month. This is a great place for those looking for an extended stay property. The rates are great, and the front desk staff is wonderful. The rooms are comfortable and clean! Housekeeping are professionals who are always around daily looking to provide a refresh service to your room. I would definitely recommend! Vada Taylor.
