Far below expectations, even for a discount motel. Although the bed was comfortable and the room relatively quiet, it was shabby and dirty. The carpet was so filthy I made black footprints the shower. The staff is pleasant. The breakfast is what one would expect: adequate, but not worth the price (free).

Basic room well located halfway between hwy15 in Escondido and I5 in Oceanside. San Marcos Civic center is close by for San Diego county business, several restaurant and takeout very close. Starbucks across the street. Room was okay, carpeted flooring, clean bathroom, housekeeping staff has sticky fingers for what looks like trash but management handled well. Not a lot of foot traffic or unmentionable types of guests. It was nice for the money.

Everything was clean as could be, beds comfortable. Nice to have the microwave and frig in the room. The only thing was that the air conditioner was so loud that we could not run it while we slept. Luckily it wasn't too hot (beginning of May). We were in the building where the office is… The staff were really nice and professional, and the motel is conveniently located. Will stay there again, but we'll ask to hear the AC unit turned on before we book the room if possible…

The room was quite and clean but the decor is extremely dated. All of the power outlets we're loose and plugs would just fall out making it difficult to charge anything. The pool wasn't heated and looked dirty.

I stayed here a couple times service guy Alex is awesome and totally nice he let me check in a lil early and the room was nice and cozy the pillows are great.

Good place to rest cheap and good service and mostly clean there are shops next door.

Nice little place to stay the night. Pretty much everything is nearby so thats a plus. Clean rooms; no issues. Nice bath tub.

Comfortable, clean rooms at a reasonable price. If I'm ever in the neighborhood again and need a place to stay, I'll definitely consider.

Betsy front clerk checked in quickly and room was very clean, quiet. Well rested, close by to 24hour 7-11and Wincos, eateries Mexican food including, Mcdees, Carls, Jack, Denny's, In and Out. Close to freeway, and college event. Very happy family, had a heart time with free continental breakfast.

It is a good comfortable place and it rests well all quiet I recommend it.

I gave it a 4 star rating because there is no transit line nearby if you don't drive you have to walk about a mile to get to Sprinter stop or the bus line. Service was great, room was clean, the Mexican restaurant was fantastic.

Good stay for a day. Room was clean. Decent for the price. There is a liquor store and taco shop next to it. Located right next to the freeway.

Crew is very polite, and the place is neat. It is located at the heart street of San Marcos, San Marcos Boulevard which provide easy access to freeway and shops. The place offers a very pleasant experience overall.

Clean, convenient, low cost place to crash for a night. Room had a small frig and tiny safe which I didn't expect at this price. Right next to hiway 78, but I didn't notice nice inside the room. The switches and tiles we're cracked in the bathroom, but it was ok. The hotel was overbooked due to mandatory evacuation nearby for a fire, but the staff took out all in stride. They were cheerful and helpful. The free breakfast area was larger than I expressed, too, with many choices.

Only giving 1 star because there's no option for zero stars. After evacuating my home due to the Lilac Fire in North County, Days Inn told us they would hold a room for us while we drove our handful of important valuables and our dogs away from the flames. We arrived only to be told "tough luck, we don't do reservations and we have no rooms available". Seriously, at all costs, do not do business with these people. Absolute scumbags to the highest degree, and hopefully they never have to deal with losing their home in a wildfire while hotels tell them SORRY WE ONLY CARE ABOUT THE BENJAMINS!

The room we were in wasn't as clean as it was when it used to be a Ramada Inn. Due to the condition of the room, we opted to stay elsewhere for our overnight room, but they were very helpful and friendly about refunding our reservation. I've stayed here in the past and had no problems with cleanliness before, so it could have just been this one time. They've always been very helpful and friendly and it's located next to so much food and service businesses. I would recommend this place for a budget conscious 1 to 2 night stay.

Clean Rooms. A little dated but nice enough for our 3 night stay. Friendly staff and very helpful in the office. Not a true buffet, just cereal, toast, muffins, coffee and juices, but enough to get your day started. Plenty of choices within walking distance if you're hungry for something in particular. Worth the money you spend but that's about it.

Right off the 78 freeway. Close to restaurants and stores. Kind of loud from freeway being so close. Rooms are decent but they need better A/C units. Took forever to cool. They have breakfast in the mornings as well but I didn't try it. Website says they are pet friendly but they exclude the fact that they have a pet fee of 35$ which I had to pay when I got there considering I was driving 50 miles to stay at this hotel. Would have been nice to know that when I did book the room via their website.

Quiet and roomy. Smelly and dirty carpets looked vacuumed and fresh linens. Staff was friendly but a few minutes of no shoes our feet looked like we were walking around the parking lot with no shoes besides that loved our stay there.

The room was cozy and well appointed, although it could have been cleaner. I didn't use the pool because it was small and there were quite a few people enjoying it. The staff were friendly and accommodating. The breakfast? Well, as a free continental, I would have to say it was acceptable. All cold items except for the waffle. I would stay again using points, but would never pay full price again.

This place was amazing. The staff was very helpful and well knowledgeable with what was near to eat. The room was great and very clean. The beds are extremely comfortable and the blankets were clean and comfortable. I will definitely be returning. As well as I will be recommending this hotel to everyone I know. I truly loved how much the breakfast was not just cereal but there was coffee and other foods.

Rooms are clean. Nice area but the Wi-Fi goes down a lot so if you need Wi-Fi to do work or homework be prepared for it to go down.

DO NOT TAKE YOUR FAMILY HERE Booked room, with family, only due to limited availability for the Presidents Day weekend of 2016. Room was in 2nd floor of building behind restaurant, away from building with hotel lobby. Lobby employee Bill was very helpful and accomodating, and this review does not reflect his pleasant customer service. Room we had seemed quite dated, but nothing that quite bothered us. Noise level is significantly loud, from the loud freeway to any outside people talking within 10ft of the room (Fri and Sat). At the first morning, I noticed guests were allowed to smoke freely within 20ft of the building. A bit of a bother since I have a 13 week old child, but none of the smell got to my room so I brushed it off. Later on that night, I noticed a couple of patrons of Chico's restaurant, getting a stare down as I pulled into the parking lot with my family in a mini van (a vehicle I would never expect to receive hostility). Noise increased as many other guests made their way to the room next to mine, doors slamming hard and with heavy steps throughout the night past 1am. Not something I sought to bring up because my family was up anyway, and figured lobby personnel would notice this through roving watch of the property, which they obviously did not. The morning showed more smokers outdoors. No change there. Night 3 was and continues to be "interesting. " There is an overwhelming smell of Marijuana coming through the vent of my bathroom.

When it comes to hotels and motels you get what you pay for. Room was on the dingy side, TV was small, ac sputtered at times. But I can't expect five star quality for 60/night.

Be aware. My girlfriend and I stayed at Ramada for 7 nights from Nov 8th till 15th at the room 213. When we checked-in she was charged the whole price of 419 USD from her debit card, then the next day after checking-out she was charged the same price once again without any explanations. She and I called the receptionist of Ramada twice and she said she forwarded this question to her management and that he will figure out what was going on and call us back, but he never did it. So right now the balance on my girlfriend's debit card is negative so she will be charged by her foreign bank. So it was her first and now the worst experience in the USA, because of this hotel and this unsolved situation. So this hotel doesn't even deserve one star.

The look of the first building and its hallway and rooms were Old and not painted. Toilet didn't work well and aesthetics were terrible.

This place is overly disgusting. Room we stayed in smelled like pee. Mold in the bathroom. Bed and pillow are very uncomfortable. I don't know if the sheets on the bed or the overly blanket have been washed but it stinks. My sister in law and her husband found a worm on the foot of there bed the following morning. So basically they probably slept with it in there bed. I wouldn't recommend staying here even if it is just overnight.

I have come here every year for work (family owned business) since I was little (at least 15 years). Our company is here for a week and a half. I believe we are 10 people in total. This hotel used to be awesome. I have no complaints on the staff or the cleanliness. Everything on those ends are great. Even the maintenence man was always taking care of business quickly, and I have always enjoyed the pool and breakfast. My problem is that things should get replaced and updated. The floor boards in the room are broken in many places. The wallpaper in the bathroom is rippled and in someplaces rusted. The shower has drill holes that have been filled in, the alarm clocks don't work half the time. Again, the people are outstanding, the maids clean very well, the maintenence guy does good work (on my trip the room below me had a water leak and he had to replace a pipe in my room. Thankfully a quick fix), but replacing things and remodeling or upkeep of things definately needs improvement. I have always loved this hotel, and it used to really be something. I will still continue to go here, but the feeling of luxury is a bit drab. Its kind of disappointing really.

What did you like about it? There is absolutely positively NOTHING TO LIKE. We checked in to a room we paid over 80.00 for and it had shaving hair remains from hair that looked nothing like our own on the sink. The front desk seemed to care less and sent someone up they took a pic and left keep in mind I work in the hotel business this is not how a room should look. I wouldn't of even stayed in this room for free but since every hotel in the span of two hours was booked I was left with this one. Let's see oh yeah so my family had two rooms and in one room the was rust on the shower head. The bath towels had hair from last guests. The tub was horrendous we used shower shoes to take a shower in it. I came back the next day after a cleaning (yeah sad couldn't find two rooms anywhere in town! ) I came back and smelled the restroom it smelt funny I checked the toilet the remains were flushed back so we got to revisit my roommates shit that day that was pleasant :-/ honestly how is this not a walking health hazard. It's sickening: um only positive experience was there was no bed bugs which honestly lol honestly I'm not surprised if it does. Side note anyone who writes a positive review is a friend of the owner or whoever. We are from out of town and didn't know the rep of this hotel.

The front desk staff were very nice. I couldn't stay due to the strong mildew smell throughout the entire outdated facility.

Rooms ok. Breakfast ok (very good). However the free Wi — Fi in the rooms again. I had to surf the internet. Other than that the service is not bad. The employees are friendly and kind.
Ah yes. This hotel is quite far from the zoo in san diego, seaworld and the malls (30 minutes from the hotel by car).

Sevice sucks we reserve 2Rooms none smoking and they give us smoking. The rooms are very smelly The wall and carpet is dirty the bathroom is dirty specially the shower and sink is rusty and moldy. The next day they move us to a none smoking room and the rooms are smelly also and small and we saw 3 spider crowling the bathroom tub and 2 in the rooms. My kids are scare to use the bathroom bec. Of spider. The swimmingpool is infront of the hotel next a busy streets all the people driving and walking the street can see you. No privacy. They have free breakfast but kitchens is dirty. The employees are mean they don't smile or great customers. They charge $70 night and all you get is this "bad experience".

I'm copying my review from TripAdvisor and putting it on here. The place seems to be getting a bad rap and it was not nearly as bad as some reviews make it seem. So here ya go: This is a late review, but better late than never. My roommate and I booked this hotel for Comic-Con 2012 bc it was the cheapest we could find. For the price we paid, I was more than happy with how we lucked out. I loved the free breakfast. Mostly the free part. It wasn't the humdrum cereal and juice; they had waffles, muffins, pastries, toast, etc. The room was clean and comfy. Especially the pillows. Plus, since we stayed 4 nights, the microwave and mini fridge came in handy. The room we got was a single queen room. It wasn't that big, but it was spacious enough to fit us and our luggage. Also, free shampoo and conditioner came in handy as I forgot to buy some. Actually worked reeeeally well. Oh, and the location was heaven for me! They have every commercial convenience you could think of literally surrounding the hotel. A variety of restaurants and shopping centers. Overall, A+ in my book.

I'm really surprized Ramada has their name on this place. Whole place is dated and old. But there's not a lot to choose from in the area. Most of the other guest were non-English speaking and some had what appeared to be prison tattoos. I would not suggest a lone woman stay at this hotel. Room was reasonably clean and everything worked. Waleup calls were timely given, and internet worked well EXCEPT if u need to use their facilities. Ie. To print a boarding pass, forget it. Their business center consist of a crappy OLD, and I mean OLD computer set up on a folding card table in their lobby with no attached printer. Counter person was rather terse. Continental breakfast was okay. But there was a strong odor that smelled like an unkept cat-litter box coming from the back room off the dining area. I think Ramada needs to call this one Ramada VERY Limited. I'd call this a 2 star hotel and this was not what I expected with the Ramada name on it.
