The venue and ambience are great, the food we ordered are all delicious, our favorite are the popcorn chicken, the ahi poke and the crispy salmon. The birthday cake we had fir free was amazing and the service from victor and Hector are excellent and the rest of the people that works there are friendly, one of the concierge with long blonde curly hair is very nice too. Will definitely come back again.

Rancho Valencia is a beautiful place to have a romantic getaway. The services and professionalism of all staff was exquisite. My hubby and I will definitely be returning.

The Pony Room was very cozy, delicious food, and the service was great, Recommending Ryan our waiter, very accommodating at all times. Needed to make reservation a head of time at this times for early dinners. Will go back for other times.

Fabulous facility ; beautiful casitas; great people staffing; friendly service; very careful Covid precautions (so careful that class sizes for desired fitness classes were drastically reduced, so make sure to book in advance). Would absolutely stay here again.

Amazing! There is something truly unique and different about this place. Definitely recommend it as a resort where you can rejuvenate and relax. Private jacuzzi and fireplace make for special family time under the stars. The staff are super kind from the minute you walk in. Hats off to Chip at the restaurant who made our dinner super special and patient w our 3 kids!

Beautiful resort. Very relaxing with plenty to do. We enjoyed the restaurant and the tennis courts. They were doing some work on the roads and that was a but off putting but didn't ruin it.

We enjoyed our get-away on this lovely property. Highlights included or fabulous Olive Grove suite with private jacuzzi and steam shower, delicious fresh squeezed orange juice delivered to our for every morning and an excellent spa area & services. While overall our visit was certainly 5-start there were a couple less desirable moments. First the spa area pool felt more like a Vegas hotel club by the end of the afternoon with louder music and a few roudy guests (this was only the case one afternoon, but was unexpected and not ideal). We also felt a few of the staff, while friendly, wasn't very responsive; for instance we had arranged for a golf cart and confirmed the plan but they never showed up. Similarly, when along for dinner recommendations off property the reply was lackluster and they failed to mention fair traffic that made our 15 minute drive over an hour. All in all our experience was lovely and I will certainly recommend this resort to friends and family.

This is heaven on earth. Paying close to a grand a day, I reckon, will have people paying attention to you, as they have to us. We have visited the spa — a breath taker for sure and have enjoyed a quiet night eating at the resort's restaurant, Veladora — an amazing experience like no other! My wife and I have already decided we want to come back, as often and as much as possible! This is truly heavenly!

Love, love RV, perfect for meeting a girllfriend for lunch, date night and I can remember how many bday girls night I have celebrated here, not to mention, I can even bring the kiddos and they can play on the lawn. This place is amazing and I am a fan. My husband is there tonight for a business meeting. Cant say enought about this awesome place.

My wife and I stayed here for 3 nights during January (I guess the off season? ) and the place was amazing. I don't think I've ever stayed in so nice a room, fire place, patio, personal hot tub and swanky bathroom. The spa was great too with an amazing yoga pavilion, tons of hot tubs and decent class schedule. Everyone at the resort was polite and helpful with anything we needed. Oh and the complimentary sporty vehicle rental (for 4 hours) was great for a drive up the coast on a beautiful day.

The villa I went to was a bit smaller than I expected, but the size of the bedroom more than made up for the sitting room. It had an absolutely beautiful private yard with a large fireplace and a hot tub that did seat three adults quite comfortably with more than enough room to spare. The bathroom was an exceptional room all by itself. The toilet was in a small closed off toilet room with a state of the art bidet. The rest of the bathroom had a beautiful large shower with an overhead shower set in the center. The bathtub was equally huge and did very comfortably seat two people. There were his and her sinks separated by a very spacious make-up counter.

We had our wedding here and spent 3 nights at the hacienda house on property. Everything was top notch, the service was great, the property and accommodations are definitely 5 stars, the food at the wedding and at the restaurants was amazing, every single person was friendly and helpful. All of our family that stayed here was beyond happy. Thank you so much to Nikki and the rest of the staff.

I had dinner here for a work event with about 10 people, and was fortunate to taste quite a lot of the menu. Everything was pretty excellent all around, including several apps, entrees, and desserts. I don't think I'll ever forget that iberico pork tenderloin. One of the best things I've ever tasted! The staff was also very friendly, fun, and knowledgeable about the food. This place is pricey but well worth it for a special occasion. I will definitely return for another meal someday, hopefully sooner rather than later!

This place is amazing! Beautiful location, and the staff is the best. I've never experienced better service than when I stayed at Rancho Valencia. You really feel like a VIP. The rooms are luxurious and very clean. Love the fresh squeezed orange juice that's delivered every morning.

The ambience is Rancho Santa Fe. Casual upscale. They used to have the best happy hour but got to popular and prices jumped. Staff A+!

What an amazing place, after a 23 day road trip of California this was the perfect place to end our vacation, everything about it is 5* plus the location, the accommodation, the food and most of all the delightful staff.

What's not to love at Rancho Valencia? Polo bar is favorite for food and drinks any time of the day. Service is exceptional. Take in a spa treatment or play a game or croquet before of after. Lovely setting.

Excellent spa. Best food spread in the waiting/lounge/relaxation area of all the spas I've been to. The location could be more peaceful; some guy on the other side of the fence was using a loud piece of equipment and whistling the entire time I was lounging by the hot tub (~2 hr) so I had to tune him out. Extra points for having a cold plunge pool that is perfectly chilled, and acupuncture (Dr. Han (sp.? ) is great! ).

Amazing hospitality and amazing location. They allow to rent Porsche cars for few hours which are well maintained. The things to do are limited for multiple day stay.

The nicest country club you can imagine. We came for lunch and a beer and left beyond happy. The Pony Room which is the bar side of the club has something like 160+ tequilas available, paired with incredible cocktail servers it makes RV one of the best tequila bars in all of San Diego. Service here is world class, atmosphere is definitely high end but casual at the same time if that makes sense.

Had lunch at Veladora. Food was great. Service could have been better. Waiter was nice but we had to wait a long time to get water. Overall good experience.

This hotel is so beautiful! It's like being in your own world. Beautiful everywhere you go. The yoga class is free so take advantage of it because it's a beautiful setting. We live in San Diego so we just went for a spa day to celebrate my birthday. The spa is loverly with all the amenities you could ask for. They have a nice arrangement of tea, coffee, fruit and delicious banana and zucchini bread available. There can be alot of foot traffic with guests visiting this area, but you can usually find peaceful nooks scattered about for solace. The massage was very well done. The best part was the pool which on a winter day was heated to what seemed like 75 degrees or more! I couldn't believe that on a chilly winter day that I could take a dip in the pool without freezing! It was like a jacuzzi it was soooo nice!. If I was rich id stay a week there! I'm sure the suites are divine. The restaurant was wonderful too. 5 star resort all the way. And wonderful service from everyone!

Great athnosphere, beautiful place, cozy and relaxed, Southern California vibes at their finest. The drinks are masterfully crafted, the "Magnificent Seven" was easily one of the best concoctions I've ever had and, well, just magnificent. The food was a little bit on the salty side — I had the lamb and my girlfriend had the steak — but we came here during restaurant week, and the place was packed — under these auspices, the food was excellent.

From the moment you entered through the gates the staff is unbelievable. This Resort is unlike anything else I have encountered… still in awe.

Fantastic service. They made a point to know who we were and it was our Annaversery if that type of thing is important. Property beautiful, elegant, tranquil. Ann at restaurant was fabulous with respect recommendations and friendliness. Room perfect wouldn't change a thing. Wifi worked no problem first try.

This place is unbelievable! Friendly staff is an understatement, everyone has a smile on their face and will tell you what a great place to work it is. I had a massage by Lorenzo, which was amazing. He knew his stuff, and I left feeling great! The Pedicure by Ally was just as good, the milk and honey made my feet feel like silk! And Melissa was kind enough to make my hair look fabulous, for a charity event I attended. Now if you are looking for a unique cocktail. Have Amy make you their signature "Sangrita"… so refreshing and pretty! The breakfast is amazing, I had the breakfast sandwich, Yum. And if you need a snack, have Chistine get you some white fish tacos, and the hummus platter. I cant wait to return to this relaxing oasis!

Visited rancho Valencia to see the in-laws. It is the most beautiful resort I have ever been too. Truly a luxurious place to be in San Diego. They were very accommodating to us by bringing us a space heater for the backyard. We had room service from the pony club including the sliders, lobster tacos, and more. The calamari was the only dish that was a let down. Overall this is a wonderful place to be!

Was there for a series of talks from TSRI profs. Food and service was very nice, as was the presentation room.

Rancho Valencia is an amazing resort that I would recommend to anyone staying in San Diego! The surrounding area is beautifully green and lush. The rooms are spacious and incredibly comfortable. The food at either of the two restaurants on the property is delicious. You can go to Veladora for a more fancy meal, or the Pony Room for a more casual one. The only problem, in my opinion, is that this is somewhat far away from other parts of San Diego.

Now that you're a little a shamed for singing that softly in your head or even dancing to it I have to point out the crassness of the song and the opposing class of Pony Room. The upscale and classic décor while the song evokes images of sweat and leather, not bad in their own right. Like I said all they share is the name. The resort itself is beautiful and doing amazing things with Veladora as well. I'll save the driveway and grounds for and RV review. Big U bar of granite, perfect amount of chairs for space. The chairs are really ornate and are truly chairs and not stools. A tall back and arms, white with gold inlay. Some 2 and 4 person tables more study lounge than bar style. Tall windows and upholstered walls, semi rustic wood floors and exposed beams give an old West vibe without the cowboy grunge. A croquet lawn outside for lounging or actual croquet. I feel like I should wear white pants when I come here. Live music on weekends and Tuesdays. Service is excellent from the bartenders, servers, valet's. Country club service without the membership. Totally worth the price and drive if you don't live here. Great craft cocktails to go along with a handful of local and craft beers and considered the area it's a healthy amount. Large TV's for watching sporting events. Wine is a bit of a standard bunch, but an ocean's worth of tequila. hh. It's good because of they try, good food, good drinks, not necessarily cheap, but good value. The crowd is shall we say "aged".

Top notch dining and service. Beautiful location. I have dined here many times and helped manage an event for 130 people. The evening was spectacular and the staff very accommodating.
