Very nice rooms at very reasonable rates! Seems very well maintained and cleaned with nice flooring and bathrooms and beds. The continental breakfast is just perfect with very basics such as coffee, juice, and some cereal and breakfast pastries. The staff were all quite friendly and welcoming and there were no issue during my stay. The area is also pretty decent and seems petty safe, though always be vigilant and aware of your surroundings. The only thing “bad” was the AC unit seemed pretty old, and though it worked ok I felt as though it could have been a little colder.

This place is cute! The staff does work hard and is friendly. They try to keep it as clean as possible. My light switch and door could have been a little bit more clean. Some guests were constantly smoking outside and that smell still got into my room. They guy was a chain smoker and or on drugs. It did finally get quiet around 10 p. M. Some guests are horrible. Cigarette bud in the vending machine, laundry room had the smelly towels laying around. It just got cleaned: — (Parking is bad after 9 p. M. The jacuzzi was broken. In any event it is a good place to stay at.

I was very impressed with my stay here. They were super accomidating, and catered to my needs.

Quaint little gem tucked slighly away from a busy metropolis. Great place to stay by your self or with the family. Close to LegoLand.

I would not stay there again. Family of 5. Pool was very small the picture on the website is a lie. The beds were not comfortable. The room felt dirty. The furniture was broken and crappy. The breakfast was just cereal, muffins, juice and coffee. I wouldn't recommend paying more than $50 a night there as a budget room but there are better places near by for an extra $30.

Very very clean, safe, larege rooms, lighted with security camera s, surrounded by beautiful gardens of roses, swimming pool, continental breakfast, friendly staff. I loved it.

Very, very clean. We were a late check-in, they waited till we arrived, plus there is an excellent cafe right next door. Ask for the waitress from Serbia; you will not be disappointed.

This hotel was very clean, spacious, accommodating… We loved how large the bathroom area was, except for no tub We stayed three nights, and will stay again on another trip to San Diego.

Excellent customer service from the night manager, we checked in at 10pm. The rooms are recently remodeled and appealing. Fridge and microwave were nice and clean the beds were comfortable. Parking can be an issue for larger vehicles. Free breakfast is viral and danishes and some fruit coffee is only in lobby with powder creamer and very small cups. Nice shower and clean bathroom. I would definitely recommend for budget and pet friendly rooms.

Exceptionally nice front desk staff, but alas we could not stay here. First room smelled like smoke. Second room like bleach mixed with smoke? There are ways to clean without using strong smelling cleaners.

Escondido Lodge has great owners. I enjoy speaking with him. They newly renovated their rooms and they are not only very nice and very comfortable but they are also afforable.

I didn't stay here but did eat here (restaurant inside). It was a very nice place for a meal and coffee.

The front desk Lady is very very nice our room was very clean and comfortable I recommend if you want a nice hotel room nutritious breakfast and good coffee the Escondido Lodge is the best way to go Thank You for making my nite wonderful.

Price for rooms is great, staff are friendly, lots of parking, the rooms are always clean and very comfortable and spacious. I had a great stay!

Awesome price for a good hotel. Clean. Kinda by the road but there's good windows and Free Wi-Fi and nice tvs and a stove and full fridge. It's super dope.

I love this place. All the rooms have now been completely remodeled. The employee that works at the front desk is awesome, super friendly, she was there last summer when I stayed there and am glad to see she is still working there.

Nice enough for what you pay for! Very clean, with above average furniture to top it off. Can't ask for much more for an overnight stay!

They have upgraded alot since the last time I was there and are still in the process can't wait to go back for another visit :) good job Escondido Lodge best hotel in Escondido and reasonably priced!

I was very impressed to see how nicely remodeled the rooms were. Hard wood flooring, marble counter tops and very clean. Staff was very friendly and the breakfast was small, but great. The one irritating thing was the TV signal kept getting lost. The old yellow sign out front doesn't do the place justice. My over all experience was great and I would highly recommend this motel as it even has a low price and honors AAA members. I would definetly stay there again!

Great place to stay on the cheap. It has been remodeled, so the rooms are really nice looking! We did find a 2 inch beetle in the bathroom which was a little disconcerting, and parking is really tight, but otherwise everything else was great.

We got 2 rooms non-smoking. One of the rooms smelled like cigarette. I went back to the front desk. Fortunately they had another room available (Memorial Day weekend). She took care of moving our reservation. The staff is kind and accommodating. Now this is not a 5 star place but for our needs it's good enough. Everything worked as expected. The TV is flat screen and has DirecTV with HBO and Cinemax. Plenty of towels, clean sheets, lots of hangers. The bedside plugs and lamps didn't work. But maybe I was playing around with the switch on the wall and on the lamp that messed with the power switch syncing. The walls are a bit thin so you can hear guests outside and above (we were on the 1st floor). There is a jacuzzi and pool but we didn't use it. The free continental breakfast consist of cereal, coffee, juice, and some pastries. There's really nothing I can complain about for the price. I would definitely stay there again to fit the budget.

It was a nice little place. Continental breakfast needs some work.

The told us they gave us a discount and a non-smoking room but it was actually the same price and a smoking room they had Just remodeled in between to rooms full of smokers. So everything smelled of cigarettes, my girlfriend who is allergic couldn't sleep, and the room did not look any nicer than the other rooms because I asked my neighbors if their rooms were smoking.

It's ok for a no tell motel.

No semi truck and trailers DO NOT COME HERE they, may tell you, you can park here but no parking for semi's at all.

These guys treated me and my family well. They were very understanding of our uncertain stay duration. For the price, they present a much better value than any of the other big named motels. Highly recommended.

Stayed in room 201. Probably the WORST room I've ever stayed in (I'm on the road 100+ nights a year). Room smelled, very dirty, killed 2 roaches walking acoss floor, filthy carpet, old furniture with cig. Burn marks, thin walls, uncomfortable bed. Should not be affiliated with Choice Hotels. A real dump. If your looking for something cheap. Worth an additional $20-$30 for somewhere else.

I am so pleased with my recent stay here. The front desk goddess who booked my reservation was patient and friendly. The nice man behind the desk when I checked in was friendly, personable and helpful. $60.00 absolutely easy on the wallet. Perfectly furnished room for my needs. Fridge, microwave, tv, comfy chair with foot stool and bench and a nice big bed! I'm low maintenance and really just looking for a place to crash between visits to the nearby Safari Park and this was PERFECT! I am absolutely willing to stay here again. The walls are a little thin and I was above the front desk so I heard the ringtone of guests entering the door. I could hear my next door neighbors speaking in a normal voice. Bring earplugs for that if you are easily disturbed.
