This is a beautiful Victorian style home with beyond exceptional hosts and the breakfast is to die for! Couldn't have asked for a better experience while I visited the quaint town of San Andreas to visit the elephant sanctuary next door. Also love Groucho, the outdoor kitty on the property.
Bed is also super comfy!

A beautiful bed and breakfast. Every inch of the house had interesting and unique knick knacks and antiques. When we arrived I was met by the owner and she had a branch of conversation and asked if any of us had food allerges or requirements. I offhand said I didn't like eggs. We went to an event in town and came back and had dinner in the beautifulnand quiet lawn area. We went to bed and the next morning breakfast was ready at 9. She had taken into account my dislike for eggs and had adjusted my breakfast accordingly. Her attention to detail was amazing, even including putting people at the right tables for breakfast. The older group of people were at one table and the younger people were at another, obviously to make it easier to have general conversation during breakfast. I would highly recommend and would stay again next time I'm in San Andreas.

Just left this fantastic B and B after a fabulous weekend stay. Bill and Karen are awesome hosts and stewards of this beautiful home. Each room is decorated to the tee and warm and welcoming. The grounds are relaxing and inviting with plenty of areas to gather in or just be quiet and read. We were there with classic cars for a car show in nearby Valley Springs and were not the least bit concerned where the cars were parked. The breakfasts were 5 Stars served on beautiful settings befitting this Queen. Everyone there felt the same way. Kudos to Bill and Karen for all the attention to this home and their guests. “We’ll Be Back”. Blessings!

This is a beautiful house that is tastefully decorated. The environment is peaceful and restful. I just got here today so I have not had a chance to sample the breakfast or to get to know the hosts. But from what I’ve read Of the reviews I am excited for the morning to come. I will probably do another review later when I’ve been here for a little bit. I’m just feeling happy as a clam right now.

Simply beautiful. Received a great welcome and a tour of the entire house, we were first guests to arrive… so all was open.

I was extremely surprised by the beauty and fantasy in Victorian style when I got into the house. Well, I ordered online but their pictures there can't tell me the unique. The more I see the more I like it a lot that I can't believe it and can't wait to see more and took pictures at same time. You can see from pictures that every single details from the house. The only thing I would say is the curtain in bathtub in master room was totally destroyed from the decorative section. Plus, be careful when you are showering in the tub.

The Robin's Nest is a great place to stay in gold country. The rooms are beautiful and breakfasts are delicious! They take great care of you!

My husband, 2 college students, and I had a wonderful time at the Robins Nest with memories for years to come. Bill and Karen were the most pleasant, helpful host and hostess I have ever encountered in all my travels! Even my son who is on the picky side ate everything that was placed before him at breakfast and he doesn't usually eat breakfast. The breakfasts were delightful! We enjoyed the decor and history of this lovely place, and also the use of the grill and sitting in the yard relaxing after returning from Big Tree which is a beautiful drive from there about 40 minutes. Wonderful location and out of the traffic and city life.

The Robin's Nest in San Andreas, CA was clean and nicely organized during our stay (reservation under my husband's name), however the staff was unpleasant and not helpful. Any requests were either shrugged off or responded to with a quip. Please treat your guests better.

This was one of the best places we have stayed. Karen & Bill are great hosts. We enjoyed talking to the other guests, as well. The decorations are beautiful and add to the unique charm, as does their lovable cat~ Groucho. The breakfast was especially delicious. *A great part about this location, is that there are so many options of where to explore. We were able to visit Calaveras Big Trees State Park & Mercer Caverns, both in the same day. Angels Camp has a lot of history, and the museum in town is a great place to start. **Both Lake Tahoe & Yosemite are possible to reach, from this location~each within approx. 1.5 — 2.0 hrs.

Love this bed and breakfast. Bill and Karen were awesome hosts. The breakfast was fantastic and the accomodations clean and well maintained. We stayed four nights and the room was maintained each day for our comfort.

It's a little hard to find but once you do you'll never want to leave. This bed and breakfast is warm and cozy inviting and very reasonable. The atmosphere is very charming and you really feel welcome. Thank you Bill and better half.

This beautiful place is amazing. Bill and Karen are wonderful people, fantastic cooks and very friendly. They treat you like family. The B&B is quiet, clean and relaxing. The food is incredible and quite delicious! A perfect get away!

Bill & Karen, thank you once again for an incredibly awesome stay! While I loved the Ingenue room some years back, we also loved the Safari room out back! It was great to have our own door to take the puppy out. And my God man! That breakfast is to die for! Absolutely LOVE your B&B and will recommend it profusely to friends, family and anyone who wants to know! Thank you again for being so kind to military veterans. You're a scholar and a gentleman, well, a scholar, well, a gentleman, well… thank you! ;) Happy New Year again and don't forget Karen took the mula! ;) LOL.

This is the best B&B I have ever been to, the Breakfast is spectacular! The Owners are so friendly and happy and helpful, so cool, can't wait to go back!

Breakfast was awesome, beds very comfortable, good port and sherry for a night cap. We BBQ at night and ate on their deck. My first bed and breakfast and it was very enjoyable.

We have been going every year for many years to Robins Nest and I would give them more stars if it were possible. We stay there 4 nights each year and they make us feel very much at home. It is a very unique experience. Starting each morning with a delicious 3 course gourmet breakfast that is presented very elegantly, but they are also so gracious and friendly. This old historic Victorian has some wonderfully decorated rooms, each with its own motif. We have stayed at one time or another in most of them. Our thanks to Bill and Karen for their care and hospitality each time we come there.

Breakfasts were gormet. Sheets were so soft. Room was quiet. Great hosts. Even helped with the luggage.

I will start by giving them 5 stars for everything. We spend a wonderful 3 days and 2 nights in the area concluding our 6 days vacation, and can't wait to go back. This is the experience we like to share with everyone. Great welcome from our guests Bill and Karen. Very knowledgeable about the area. Great food in the morning, a 3 cores meal with Canadian accent, like French Omelet, for example. Great service! For a great night, they have good music in ambiance, Port and Cherry cream available at your discretion and a lot of privacy. Makes you feel like home! But please, don't just believe me! We arrived in the afternoon and were greeted with great stories of the area. Bill and Karen graciously and warmly accepted us 3 motorcycle riders into their wonderfully decorated home. All of the rooms have their own theme and look great. Mother nature rained on us but their grounds with bar b q's and fireplace would would great for a night beside the fire. Thanks for a great night. Hope to come back soon for a longer stay.
