I can't find the words to truly convey my feelings. For starters I think it would have been easier to get drugs than it was a couple extra pillows thanks to the motel residents. When I asked for a third towel for the room with three people I received a subtle eye roll and almost undetectable sigh. My first thoughts were that it was something to do with their foreign culture, then I quit lying to myself. It was disrespect… In any country. So tonight I shall make the climb up the sign with a little paint and make it official. Motel 2 1/2 is open for business.

The room was so hot when I got in. The air conditioner could barely cool it down after 20 minutes with the air conditioner. I think you guys should cool it down with the central air conditioner before the guest comes in but the central air conditioner was not working. There was a small air conditioning unit in the room which I put on when I entered the room. I would rate the cleanliness of the room, on a scale of 1 to 10 with 10 as the best number, at a 6.

New owners who have been remodeling rooms. The rooms were clean. Temperature 108 and the swimming pool was wonderful, kids were having fun in it. Very helpful staff. Also has Handicap assist chair for the pool.

This location should be embarrassing to your company. There was trash everywhere, The pool has been closed by the health department and there were roaches scattered all over the walkways to hotel rooms. Once we got into the hotel room we found that we have no TV remote And that someone had stuff toilet paper into the peep hole so no one could look in or out of the room. A new mattress also wouldn’t kill you. I get that it is Motel 6 but I didn’t expect to catch herpes from your Pool.

New A/C units not properly installed. 1 inch gap around unit and it takes 3 hours to cool down a hot room. I specifically requested a ground floor room (I am a disabled VET) and none were available or there seemed to be confusion among office staff if there was one.

When we arrived the room was not made non-changing sheets and especially the toilets uncleaned.

Horrible experience! Run down property. Poor booking system. Left my room for dinner and came back to being locked out ad my items removed. Staff was argumentative and I had to convince them that I had checked in and paid that afternoon. I finally got back to the room and called Motel 6 about the situation. I was told I would receive a $10 credit for the inconveniences and I was to talk to the property manager. She even argued with me about that! Horrible experience. Do not book here unless you intend to stake out your room.

Quiet place to rest. The room is simple but nice.

I am a long-time, loyal user of Motel 6. I have stayed at Motel 6 all over the US. I don't think I have ever been so disappointed as I was with the cleanliness of this room compared to any Motel 6 room I have ever stayed in. Had I not been utterly exhausted and several hours from home, I would not have stayed there another minute. I often travel up Hwy 395 to Mammoth Lakes and No. Lake Tahoe. NEVER again will I stay in Ridgecrest. I have some photos that I want to share with your corporate office. They tell the whole story. Ridgecrest Motel 6 is NOT a good representative of Motel 6.

I typically stay at Motel 6's as I travel around the country. This is the worst I believe I have ever stayed in. The person at the desk was on a conversation in a foreign language on speaker phone when I checked in. He asked for $45 cash. When I told him I was using credit, the price went up to about $55. He resisted giving me a receipt. The first room was a smoking room — I have asthma. The next room was better, but the floor is dirty and my dog is finding stuff to eat. I took a towel and wiped the floor and found some pills on the floor. The towel rack fell off the wall when I reached for the towel. I stairway has pizza boxes with slices of pizza on them. There are broken windows.

I'm giving this a 2 star because the staff was truly amazing and was so friendly. But I feel this is more of a place of people live in or stay long term in. I saw some Doors had a screen door. The atmosphere felt a little unsafe. We only stayed one night the next morning we saw a small roach on the floor like a baby 1 and that was enough rest to know that Mamma and the family must not be far! So we checked out of that hotel that morning no shower know nothing we flew out of that hotel and explain to the front desk the situation and they were very kind and they even gave us a refund. So I wish the rooms were better because the people were amazing that work there. They really try to make your stay comfortable is just unfortunate that the rooms are a not very clean looking and the bed was just on the rails no headboard. It was just so weird.

Had a terrible experience. The place is a dump. The rooms are low class. No hot water in first room changes rooms the bed was tiny. Not a good experience. This place needs HELP!

If you're looking for a cheap 40 dollar a night stay then this is it. Absolutely no frills, no towels, and no hot water. The floors had dirt on them and there is mold in the shower. The crew was very disrespectful and rude. They were cleaning rooms late into the night and the walls are paper thin so I barely slept over all the noise outside. Everytime someone walk past my door it feels like the San Andreas fault is breaking apart. I'm not sure how safe the upper level is.

This motel is really under standard, yet for 1 night OK and super cheap ($36 we paid). The connecting door to the other rooms is also not for everyone. Cleaning could be better. In the morning the check-in is not occupied, which does not surprise me in this coffee. The other motels in the area are only slightly better.

This is a no frills motel. There is zero luxury here. But the cast was $40 where other nearby places were $120. All was clean and functional and the staff was quick to help us with any need we had. Save the $80 and treat yourself to something more meaningful than a fancy lobby to make up the difference.

This is literally a meth-den. Not a single normal person staying here; instead it's full of meth — and crack heads who can't get an actual apartment, so they live here permanently. Reading reviews of this place made me realize that it's now been under renovation for eight months. The lobby was a complete mess, printer standing on a chair in the middle of the room behind the reception desk, telephone on the floor, planks of wood here and there. Literally the only good thing about this place was the price, which looked great before we got there, but in hindsight was way too high.

Worst Motel 6 We've done. Bizarre it seems that only the rooms on the front are operational. After inspection the beds were not clean.
The TV was not working in addition…

The place is the most dumpy motel I have ever been in and I will never come back. Have you looked at the pool lately? The property should not even be rented in my opinion. If I did not have a reservation, I would have walked out. The room is extremely Spartan about on par with what most people would associate with a jail cell. You are better off camping than staying here and I wish I would have.

Honestly my stay was very straight forward, the room was clean and had no problems. I had an online reservation so getting my room was very easy and the guy at front desk was very accommodating. My room was fully stocked with what I would expect and it was very cheap to stay for the two days I was there.

I was visiting and my husband and I decided to stay there. Our room was so nice. You can tell it had been remodeled recently. The customer service was so welcoming and nice. They went above and beyond to make us feel at home.

We reached their late night (~12 AM). I booked a room with 2 queen sized bed. The receptionist said, he can not allow four people to stay in a single room but he can do it if we can pay him 10 bucks more. When we gave our credit card to him, he said he can only take cash and he can not issue a receipt if we are not paying it. We went out for ATM and gave him the money and asked for a receipt. He gave us a hand written receipt and mentioned to ask in the morning for a printed copy. Next morning, when we requested for a receipt, he mentioned his printer is not working, so he can not give us a printed copy! Second thing, the key he gave us did not worked. We need to go back and forth to his office to fix it. The rooms were okey, but the bed covers are really dirty.

Guy at front desk was very nice and helpful. Room was clean and comfortable. I did see a roach in the room. But for the price I can't complain.

The heat didn’t work and I was freezing in my room on 12/24/17. Took 3 remotes to work with my TV. Rooms aren’t renovated properly. The guy at the front desk when I checked in was really helpful and nice.

Ok, I asked for tub not shower, but I guess they only offer showers. I explained that I would be checking in after 6pm. That went well. After 3 hrs sleep and a 14hr day though, I just wanted sleep. But the heater wouldn't come on, and the sheets were dirty. The fellow I checked in with 20 mins before was gone, but the woman at the desk jumped right on it. My sleep was delayed about another 20 min, but my son and I got an upgrade from one bed to two. Much more comfortable for us.

As usual something in a Motel 6 room didn't work… The water on shower took VERY LONG time to get warm… like 3-4 minutes… and volume on your TV didn't work… Your Needles CA room was nice and my current room in Albuquerque NM is very nice! have not tries shower but room likes very nice new TV comfy beds…

Traveling from San Francisco to Las Vegas. Intermediate stage to reach death Valley.

Restroom had mold, there were exposed electricity holes behind the TV, floors were dirty, Wi-Fi was extremely poor and barely usable. There was a roach in the restroom. late at night some stranger would knock on our door, run away before we answered it. Later around 2am this happened again, this time we got a look at him. Suspect he was looking for empty rooms to break into. Price was reasonable and location was perfect for our purposes. However I don't think I'd stay again.

Horrible! The floors were so dirty my feet along with my husband, were completely black from dirt. The mini fridge had old food in it. The AC didn't really work. There was a piece of the floor missing and I kept tripping on it. There were towels left on the shower from the other person. A small amount of toilet tissue with no replacement in the bathroom. Asked for a non smoking room but the room next to us smoked and it filled the room up with cigarette smoke. I have severe asthma and it caused me to have an asthma attack. It was just a horrendous experience staying at that Motel 6.

I've never seen a hotel room so dirty. The floor is sticking. A dirty towel was hanging behind the bathroom door. There was hair of a person unknown in the rooms shiits. And I m not talking about our neighborhood. This hotel was a scandalous experience. However, the 2 people at the front desk was very nice. But I will never recommand this hotel.

There is a new owner & the rooms are being renovated. Its a work in progress, but cant beat the price. Staff is super friendly, rooms are clean, pool is clean & nice and relaxing!

Nice staff, friendly people. The rooms are "okay" but could have been better. It was clean enough but the smell in the room wasn't pleasant. Small pool, location is okay". But it is a cheap motel and you get what you pay for.

Can not give less then one star because even that would be too much! Had to change 3 times the room. First room wasn't made (dirt everywhere, used towels and a worn bikini behind bathroom door and ugly smell in the room). Second room had no linen on the bed and was dirty. Third room had no TV, was dirty and in the room next door some workers renovated a room (we asked them how long and they said maybe until 9pm). Fourth room was also dirty but the staff said it was the last option. All three other options were ugly so we decided to take this room even it was horrible as well.

We were on tight budget and picked this place because it was the cheapest. Room was basic, but had what we needed. The comforters were bit dated but beds were clean and actually very comfortable. I have serious back problems and was afraid the beds were gonna kill my back, but I felt very comfortable. Even though this place was obviously older, the room was clean, and we only were there to shower and sleep. We did use the pool the first day we arrived to relax for awhile. And after a long drive with a bad back the pool helps to just stretch me out. The pool was clean. We were in Ridgecrest while it was 117°degrees and often humid with on/off rain, so it was a relief that the AC in the room was cold. I would say the best thing about our stay was the AC. Would have given 4 stars if room had small fridge.

We stayed at this hotel about 9 years ago & it was acceptable then. We asked how old the mattresses were and staff said 6 month old. Mattresses are much older. Trash found under the bed, multiple stains in the carpet. The room smelled, paint damage on the walls and toilet lid broken and tapped together. Bathroom floor was not cleaned. Outside, around to pool area and parking lot there was trash, litter and cigarette butts all about. The hotel manager said there would be coffee available from 6:30 a. M. To 9 a. M. And the next morning the desk clerk said they had now coffee. The one thing I can say good about, was the pool maintenance man spent 1 hour plus making sure the pool was kept up and very clean. We cannot recommend this hotel to others.

We've stayed here a few times. The first time we had a room out front that was nicely remodeled and decent. The second time a few weeks ago they gave us a room all the way in the back. It was disgustingly dirty and creepy. We asked for another room and it was barely better. We were limited to where we could stay because we were pulling a trailer. Never again.

My wife and I had an awful experience with Motel 6 in Ridgecrest, California. We arrived at 11:00pm after booking our room online that evening. The young man at the front desk appeared disorganized and confused about our reservation, telling us there were no clean rooms available. We had to wait in the parking lot for 20 minutes while they cleaned our room, though we booked it several hours prior to this. The layout of the parking lot was quite odd and on route to our room, we stepped over two live cockroaches. The room itself was such a letdown after a long day's drive. The mattress was hard, the pillows had very little give, the room had a mangy odor and the floors were stained with God knows what. We didn't dare touch the TV or the remote control. I got the sense that the room hadn't been cleaned properly, or was cleaned very quickly and without much care. My wife didn't sleep all night and I was only able to doze amidst my tosses and turns on the stiff mattress. Motel 6, you deserve better than this. We won't know if you'll improve anything though because we won't stay in your rooms again.

We were in 212. Heater doesn't work and it took while to get some to fix it. Finally it was fixed. Room quality isn't that great.

Service wasn't to bad the receptionist seemed like she didn't want to be bothered. The air conditioning was broken through the whole building so it was a hot one.

After our stay at Motel 6 in Twentynine Palms we expected more from this one. The pool was out of order, the rooms were dirty and had dead bugs on the floor. No free Wi-Fi as usual, and outdated TVs. Bit gross overall.

It's looks like it's from the 80 the workers were really rude! The pool was nasty and broken and there was people peeking in our window at night al night I don't suggest to go there.

OK, so for $40 it's a good deal. When I am riding across the country, I just need a place to sleep and relax before I hit the road again. This motel is in a nice quiet location, no issues with security or feeling like I couldn't leave the Harley parked outside. Staff is very friendly. Rooms are outdated, to include TV which is from maybe the 1980's. Charging $2.99 for Wi-Fi is just so cheeky. If all you want to do is check email, then use your cell phone as a Wi-Fi hotspot, or go to local Starbucks and login, it will cost you less! To me it's like the airlines charging you to board the airplane, just a way to boost revenue on a no cost item! Also like another review mentioned, first time I have ever experienced bugs in a room! Think they need to pay for pest service to resolve that issue.

Pretty cheap, but you get what you pay for. The person at the front was rather strange. She seemed either very tired of her job or just on drugs. The room was what I expected. I would have given 4 stars but they charge for Wi-Fi… no one should charge for Wi-Fi.

Worst Motel I ever stayed in, Non Smoking room smelled like smoke and when I saw ash trays in the room the staff said all the rooms have ash trays! The room was filthy, the sheets were not changed from the previous guest, and the bed hurt my back. I have but one word for this motel "Disgusting".

I chose this motel for the value. This means I understood there would be no in-room refrigerator, microwave, wet bar, etc. The front staff was friendly and accommodating of all my questions. I was checked in with 3 minutes, which were spent filling out a guest card. The room was small and out of date, however, it was clean, quiet, and COOL (104° outside). I chose this particular room because I needed a landing spot for one night to be close to a meeting in Lone Pine the following morning. Mission accomplished and then some. The bed was not spacious nor was it cushy, but I managed to get a sound night's sleep, which for me is not normal when on the road. Restaurants, theater, shopping were all within 5 minutes of the Motel so it was the ideal situation. As a parting shot, I managed to run off without my pillow (always bring one of my own). I returned 9 hours later, and the staff had placed it in a storage closet pending my inquiry. The stay more than met my expectations.

Really should have paid a little more to stay in another hotel. First of all it looks like nothing had been upgraded since the 70's besides an 80's TV tube. Misquitos and nats in the room, other than that I would still not stay in another motel 6 without asking if Wi-Fi and a flat screen TV is included. Never experienced bugs in a hotel before in my life.

Excellent budget hotel. 40 bucks. Can't beat that.

This is a pretty typical Motel 6. Beds are comfortable, room was clean and staff was friendly. The only comment I have is that the ac didn't cool the room down as much as I'd like.
