The worst hotel, dirty sheets and then they will charged you almost $200 after your stay saying you put some tint on the sheets, when we just shower and slept because we drove 7 hours and got there almost midnight we didn’t even used the blankets. Cause they were dirty when we tried To used them, if you stay there take pictures of everything before use it that way they can not charge you almost $200 for something you didn’t do. My mistake was not taking pictures when we saw the Blankets dirty.

I booked a room checked in today. They gave me a room key 317 and when I opened someone luggage in there. Went down talked to the front desk and she gave me a storage room by the entrance door on first floor. The assistant manager name Gentry Mcclintic told me I can cancel my room if I don’t want it. What am I supposed to do now? It’s holiday weekend and all the rooms are sold out here. Terrible customer service. So many people s reservation got canceled without getting the notified. I’m not the only one filed complaints to the corporate. Will never book here again.

The Bates motel at best. The room was filthy, hadn't been cleaned in ages, and had rat droppings, even though management tries to deny it. We didn't even stay it was so bad, beyond unacceptable for COVID times. Their website also states everyone is required to wear masks but employees, including the manager does not wear them and refuses to require them. The manager and the woman at the desk were the worst at customer service and were not apologetic AT ALL for the dirty room, denied it, and claimed I was the one being rude after they were flat out disrespectful about the room. WORST customer service EVER.

The hotel itself is okay. Very outdated, however still charming in ways. The manager who says his name is Dan and some of the ladies at front desk are plain rude and insufferable. Flat refuse to help answer questions when calling. Were not available during checkout at all. Noone was around anywhere. Conveniently received no receipts for transactions for the room, seems very suspect on many levels. I will never stay here again. I highly recommend ANY other hotels in and around Redding. Most all others have been extremely pleasant. Too bad this particular place is being run straight into the ground.

The pull out bed had a dirt sheet rolled up in it. Their “light breakfast” came nowhere near to being a “light breakfast”. Their pool is closed down (repainting it). Was told that when we checked in. Overall not happy with the place.

Room wasn't fully clean — the garbage hadn't been taken out from the previous occupant and the bathroom corners had mildew. They were out of cribs, even though we requested one in our reservation (and there weren't many guests). The pool has no towels on hand and you have to go to the lobby to request them. The breakfast room is very small and cramped. That said, the room in general was nice, and we liked the balcony. The breakfast options were good. We've stayed here before and had a better experience, but I think we'll try somewhere else next time.

For a 2-star hotel, I think this place deserves 5 stars. I was pleasantly surprised. If it was a 3-star hotel, my rating would be lower. This hotel does a lot of things right: lots of electrical outlets, comfortable desk chair, large room, good shower head, comfortable bed, clean sheets, nice iron, no smoke, above average breakfast (even compared to other Comfort Inns). Not everything is perfect, but those things didn't really affect my stay. For instance, there was some paint peeling in the bathroom, some mold on the shower caulk, some screws that were rusty, and most concerning, pretty serious staining on the ironing board. A couple recommendations I'd make to this hotel:1) Get a washable ironing board cover when needed. 2) Install low flow filters in the shower heads. The shower head worked well but the water pressure was really high, unnecessarily so. Aside from wasting a ton of water, there are other downsides to the high flow: the drains can't keep up and eventually the tub becomes a little pool, the excess moisture in the bathroom further damages the walls, and some guests don't need a deep tissue massage every time they shower. Some Comfort Inns don't live up to their name, but this one does. I'd highly recommend for an economical place to stay.

We had a great night at the Newport comfort in. The rooms are nice, the staff is great and we would happily stay here again!

We booked this hotel for 3 nights. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Special thanks to Gene the manager he was very helpful. The room was clean and breakfast was delicious. Reasonable prices. Definitely I will stop there again.

The room seems fairly roomy. The hotel is dirty, the elevator smells and has a carpet that looks like it hasn't been cleaned in a while. The heating trays for the breakfast don't warm the food so everything is cold.

We had an early check in. Which I loved. But the room was not ready. They told us, in twenty minutes the room will be done. So we went out for lunch. We came back went to our room. It was never cleaned. We informed the front desk, they apologized and gave us another room. Loved the room at first sight. But when I took a closer look, only because I wanted to take bath. The bath tub had not been scrubbed. I so wanted to take a bath after a long drive for a medical appt. So thought I would go in the hot tub. No hot tub. Went out to see the hot tub, full of scum from the winter. It was a beautiful hot day in Redding, CA.
I did enjoy the continental breakfast, it was great and the price a great for a very spacious room. Only one dog is allowed, but welcomed both my service dogs and no charge for them. Very nice folks there. Think I may give them another chance. Next time has to be better. I still liked it.

Great King room with lots of space and big bathroom, nice sized balcony as well! Would stay again for sure.

A hotel as its name says, very comfortable, my husband and I rested in the bed so comfortable. Everything so clean and the room so spacious. The breakfast service is excellent. I really recommend it. I love this chain of hotels. Thank you so much for such excellent customer service.

We we're overcharged for the room, paid more than what we booked it for, was told it was for incidentals and would be refunded imediatly, but it should only be a pending charge, to check with our bank to have it refunded. Very upsetting, also room wasn't quite what it appeared to be in online pictures. Found some trash under bed when we we're looking for something we dropped.

Husband and I wanted to get away for the night after some other plans fell through. We made our reservation over the phone. Showed up to check in only to be told that our reservation had been canceled because we live in the area. No phone call. No explanation, and no exceptions. They would not rent us a room. It was their policy and that was that.
We went across the parking lot to the Oxford Suites who gladly took our money. And we had a great night regardless of this “policy insighted” setback.
Not only will I never set foot in this place, I will never patronize any of the Choice hotel chains establishments.
I will be letting all of my traveling friends know of this ridiculous policy and how we were treated.

Room was entirely clean and welcoming. All of the staff was so friendly and polite. Location is great and within walking distance to shops and restaurants.

Great place to catch some rest. Bed was comfy, breakfast was tasty, and the staff was super nice. It's not the Ritz but for the price I was very happy.

I have stayed here on a couple occasions and the accommodations are spectacular the rooms are Immaculate and the beds are like clouds. Everything is within walking distance. Never disappointed!

A good hotel with a large room. The check in was quick and helpful. The rates are reasonable. There's a outdoor pool and hot tub.

The room was fantastic. We had a king size suite. Had problems with the Wi-Fi. It kept going in and out. Breakfast was good. However breakfast room is too small.

It was great. I love the pool, jacuzzi, and free breakfast. There are a lot of old people there that are kind and sweet. I love the mini gym and there is a shower in there too. Nice and quiet place.

It's a nice place. The room that I visited was very spacious and their customer service is average. It wasn't stellar, but it wasn't bad.

Comfort Inn was a wonderful experience. We've been on a road trip and staying at a few different inns, and this has been the best one yet by far! We've booked rooms for 4 people and this is the first place to actually give us 4 bathing towels! The beds were much comfier than other inns and the room. The room was well kept with newer appliances and stocked with toiletries. This was only a place to rest our heads for the night but the extra thought was appreciated.

My wife and I had a great stay here. The room was spacious and very nice with a comfortable bed (we also had a balcony) the pool and hot tub were well kept. Plus the staff were very friendly. Our rate here barely broke 100$ so this place was a steal in my opinion. Definitely need to come back here the next time we visit Redding.

Quaint and aged, but more spacious than newer places. Breakfast was great. The pool and hot tub were clean and nice. The staff were pleasant. The gym had everything needed for a good road workout. I was thoroughly impressed.

Reasonably priced. The rooms are fine but nothing great. Good for a short stay.

Room was great. Receptionists when we checked in/out were really friendly. Breakfast room got pretty crowded with lines for the cooking devices and out of seating. Only one ice machine and it ran out of ice for us. Good stay, anyway.

We got a king bed with a balcony in 2016 for a total of $100. The room was really spacious, clean, and the shower was nice and hot. Pillows were down. They even lock the side entrances after 10pm, so people in the end rooms aren't bothered by the slamming doors. It's a perfect stopover hotel right off the highway.

The TV was positiones too high to watch from the couch. The room could be cleaner.

Overall good experience, had a crabby worker during the continental breakfast, but might've just been an off day. Rest of staff was very nice and helpful, definitely would consider going back.

Everything was really clean and nice, the room was quite big. The beds where wonderful comphy.

The rooms are nice however, the staff are awful and condensending. House keepers were down right rude and disrespectful to their fellow co-workers. The main desk staff did not handle any of these conflicts professionally. Quick-tip, go to any other hotel on the block.

The room was large and the location was fine. Within walking distance of a nice mall. The whole place has an odd smell.

The rooms were fine and room service kept it clean for the 3 nights we stayed. The problem was the fact that we checked in for 11 nights and the new girl working there accidentally put us in for a day-by-day. So after the 3rd night, we had to pack all of our stuff because reservations were full. Including almost 2 weeks of food for 2 guys. When I finally got ahold of the manager, Gene, he was extremely rude and all he had to say is "I don't how she could have made that mistake. " After a minute of him blaming me for the new girls screw up all he said was Thank you and had the nerve to just hang up on me. As far as I'm concerned this manager should be fired and new clerks should be accompanied by an experienced clerk. I understand the mistake and I understand them not being able to do anything about it. I'm just angry because the manager didn't even care.

I went to Redding for the first time this last weekend. I walked in and the staff was so friendly and great sense of humor. I get to my room and it was so clean and huge. The bed was so comfy (I wanted to take the pillows lol). The AC kept me nice and cool since it was about 90 and I dont do the heat! The TV is a flat screen and you can move it to face the bed or couch! When I was leaving the next day, the staff were all smiles and friendly. I will stay there again if I have to stay in hotel next trip.

We stayed here last week on our road trip from SoCal to Seattle and it was GREAT! Rooms are VERY spacious, clean, beds are comfortable, full size pillows, and a sliding glass door that leads to a balcony. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful. The morning breakfast is one of the better ones I've had at a hotel like this. Everything was very fresh and they had a nice lady making sure everything was stocked and available. The hot breakfast didn't look or taste like it was nuked in a microwave — it tasted great. Location is wonderful, right off of I5 and near a ton of restaurants. Fairly priced! I will definitely stay here again!
