Only one unisex bathroom with one stall. Feels cheap. Elevator feels like it's going to break. On the plus side, it has a descent pool and is reasonably priced (based on time of year)

This HI Express gets a solid 4 stars. Great location and a really friendly staff. The housekeeping staff takes pride in keeping rooms very clean. The owners have invested in really nice LED light fixtures. The bed was very comfortable. Bathrooms are a bit on the small side and closet is just ok. Bonus: they host an evening reception with free beer/wine and munchies. Very nice.

The honest truth is it's a very friendly place. Very quite fast check in and out. We were leaving way before breakfast and they provided us with breakfast bags with trail mix and a apple a banana a bottle of water and a little cup of yogurt! How awesome is that?

Clean and comfortable. Only giving 3 stars because the pool was ice cold and the hot tub was only marginally warmer.

I just checked in. The hotel stinks. Elevator is broken and the front desk couldn't care less about that. They didn't even bother to show me the way to my room. The stairs is a maze and it took me a while to find my way. The room literally stinks. It has a wall air conditioner which makes a lot of noise. I will leave tomorrow. Do yourself a favour and stay away from this place.

Very Large Room Suite.

I've stayed here back in 2015 and customer service was awesome. The lady at the reception was friendly and fast confirming my booked room. I returned for another stay this past year and again the service by two nice ladies was great. I accidentally left my key in my room locked, went to ask for another one and the lady quickly assign me one simple and fast. The complementary free breakfast is always the best. The employees quickly put more food once they see they're running out of certain plates so the other people get to eat. All the people are friendly, I really enjoy my stay everytime I visit Port Hueneme for the weekend.

Rooms are nice, updated and clean. The staff is friendly and helpful. They serve breakfast every morning and then they have happy hour drinks and snacks in the afternoon. Nice place!

We had a great experience here. Honestly the staff in the breakfast area were all very kind. We interacted more with these employees than almost anyone else so their kindness and helpfulness did not go unnoticed. Rooms were also very clean. We got two rooms and they put us together without me having to ask first. Highly recommended.

Room was very nice and clean. Greated with a smile at the front desk and reminded me of a discount I was able to get. Breakfast was good and parking was free. Elevator is a little old but interior of hotel looks pretty freshly remodeled. Would stay here again.

The location of the center is on a corner lot which is awesome for entryway. Checking was a little hassle as it took the clerk a while to get to me. The rooms was nice clean and quiet.

The room was clean and spacious. The suite I stayed in had 2 queen beds, a microwave, and a refrigerator. Toilet/shower is separate from the sink (closed door), which I like. The breakfast offered plenty of choices, and the area was easy to access and well-staffed. Parking was ample. The staff was friendly and pleasant. I would stay here again.

Hotel is fine. Doesnt look the nicest from the outside but the breaksfast is good, the cocktail hour is fun, and the workout room is sufficient. Best part is its close to the beach.

Outstanding stay. Excellent staff and accommodations. Amenities include large, spacious rooms with complimentary in-room coffee/tea, microwave and refrigerator/freezer. Laundry room and fitness center. Complimentary breakfast. And it's just a five minute walk from the beach.

Cynthia at the front desk has always been around during our visits and is very helpful at all times, she has gone above and beyond to accommodate us and makes the stay very smooth! I would highly recommend this hotel to any family and friends and anyone looking to have a pleasant stay near the beach. Out of all the hotels we have stayed at previously while visiting Ventura County this is by far past 5 stars! Great staff and hotel! Keep up the amazing work.

Very close to the beach and strawberry farms. 10 minute drive to Navy base. Great Vietnamese Pho restaurant 5 minutes away. I would recommend it to anyway who is visiting for training or contract work.

Very friendly staff, clean and modern rooms and lobby. The rooms were oversized, had tea and coffee facilities, along with a large flat screen TV and large walk-in shower. The complementary buffet breakfast included both cooked items, cereals and toast. Can't rate this hotel and staff highly enough.

Helpful, friendly staff! Free parking. Nice rooms. Free breakfast bar and free beverages and snacks in evening. Love the surry/bike rental for riding to nearby beach. We had trouble with some electric outlets being too loose for device chargers.

The staff was lovely and accommodating since the start. There are bikes or strollers that you can rent to ride to the beach merely 4 minutes walking from the hotel. Good breakfast in the morning that comes free with the room. Also managed to preview the Dallas Cowboys training camp which was delightful. Be sure to bring sunscreen because it is a great place to catch rays!

It has been great! I will definitely stay here again if I ever have to visit. It has easy access and is close to the Naval Base, the beaches and several other interesting places. Complimentary breakfast in the morning and small complimentary reception in the afternoon (with limited wine and beer). Peaceful area. Hotel and rooms are clean. Gym could use more space and variety.

This hotel is very close to the beach which my family loves. The employees are super friendly and willing to help with anything. The rooms are a decent size but we had a bad television and the shower pressure was really weak. Other than that is a great location for a hotel.

Good sized rooms but with some strange quirks. — The TV is too small for such a huge room. — The bed is on the same wall as the door, so the hall light is shining on you all night. — Door to the bathroom opens inward, against the shower, but with that door open you're basically taking a shower in the dark. — Shower only has a single glass divider, so water is splashing out onto the floor where the divider ends.

Love the holiday and the staff was very helpful and polite and nice they help me with all my needs. The bed's and room's were clean. I would recommend my friends and family to stay there is one of the best places to stay in the city of Port Hueneme.

Stayed overnight, rooms and while hotel was nice and clean, spacious bathroom, staff were friendly. Breakfast was good, took out 1 start for the scrambled eggs. I would have liked it without the cheese and just have cheese for an option. Kitchen staff named Amany was wonderful and very friendly. Will stay here again.

Very clean and well organized hotel. Staff are very professional and helpful. Rooms were very clean, comfortable and fully stocked. I forgot my razor and toothbrush but the front desk was able to accommodate me. Although the complimentary breakfast normally opens at 6:30am, management appears to have realized a large percentage of guests are on work travel and so breakfast is available much earlier than 6:30. I would stay for work travel or if I planned to make a personal trip to the area.

Holiday Inn Express Port Hueneme was very nice. The rooms were clean and modern. Location is within walking distance to the beach. The staff were very friendly and gave us complimentary snacks/drinks when we checked in.

Hotel was super clean, nice, and within walking distance to the beach. Especially loved the gal that was in charge of breakfast area. She was fantastic! She was friendly and made sure we were well taken care of every morning. My two yr old daughter especially loved her and referred to her as "my friend". I will definitely stay there again if our travels lead us back.

The first room smelled of mildew but they changed our room without any fuss. No problems with the other room other than an indestructible spider which somehow got from the bathroom to the bed.

Stay here. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The location is close to the beach and quiet. The rooms are big and clean. My only complaint is that the sound didn't work on the Food Network, for some reason. I'm digging for things to whinge about. Is it a 5 star hotel? No. It's less pretentious and more comfortable. Stop reading reviews and book here.

Great location right near beach. Always good friendly staff. Facilities and room are nice and consistent across the country. Love it. Washer dryer on site and breakfast plus management receptions with a couple of beers.

We checked in today for a week-long stay. Sierra greeted us from behind the desk and she was amazing! She adjusted our reservation address our needs and to make our stay that much better. She was personable and very accommodating. It was so nice to arrive at a comforting and welcoming hotel after such a LONG day of travelling. The location is great! 10 minute walk to the water, close to yummy places to eat. The hotel is clean and very nicely decorated. I have loved the customer service we have received so far! Would definitely stay here again.

Kids under 18 stay for free. So if you don't like kids. Don't go. They're all over the place. And the room price is geared to allow 'free' kids. So we without pay extra and can't have a shower with a normal water pressure.

Probably the nicest HI Express and one of the nicest motels we've stayed in. Outstanding staff. Great location (for us, anyway) and very clean.

The front desk staff was great. When we checked in I wasn't feeling well so I stayed in the car and my boyfriend went in to check it in. She couldn't t check him in without me there. But instead of making me get up to go in she came out to the car to verify what needed to be done! that was so sweet because she knew I was sick. When we got ready to check out I still wasn't feeling well and needed a little bit of extra time to get going and the front desk staff again agreed to extend the check out a time for us. Awesome and super accommodating! exceeded our expectations. Clean rooms too.

There is no freeway anywhere near this hotel I can not fathom why anyone could think that. Yes the train tracks are there and wow how could you not see that before check in? This is a great place but please don't come back Bryan so I have a room when I want it.

I was shocked to find out that the pet fee for a one night stay is $110. That made the overall cost for one night $257 which is astronomical for a Holiday Inn. The room was nice but we will never stay there with our pet again. I almost wish they would just not accept pets at that rate instead of allowing you to book and then surprising you with that rate when you get there. We had driven six hours and it was 11pm. To late to try to go somewhere else.
