Stayed a couple of nights in a Queen bed — ocean view room. The room was clean and roomy with a nice balcony. We could see and hear the ocean. Parking is very limited and you often have to navigate stairs. The staff is very helpful. Cell-signal is terrible (not the hotel's fault but good to know in advance) and Wi-Fi was acting up when we were there but they got it fixed just before we left. There is breakfast each morning. They make waffles for you and there is juice, coffee, bagels, cereal, and otjer things. There is a great restaurant and pizza place right next door. It is a bit of a hike into town so we drove.

Great views, clean and comfortable rooms. Right at the bottom of the hill is a pizza place and cafe. Cafe was great. Friendly service at breakfast. A great getaway.

We LOVE this place. It's been our go to for many years. Our special get away. I can't wait till our next escaos from the city. It's cozy. Romantic. Week kept rooms. Staff is amazing. Seriously the BEST…

We saw that the Wharf Master's Inn had a 4.4 rating. When we arrived at the Inn, we were immediately unsure… the Inn has fallen into disrepair. The siding and deck railing have dry rot as well as the window trim… The grounds are kept nice the building needs help. In our room the Jacuzzi jet had mildew in it… the tub bottom was dirty, the floor tiles were cracked and loose, the wall was painted a flat paint over the semi-gloss to cover a fix, there was mildew on the sink and in the shower stall and shower door, there was a dirt line around the walls were the vacuum never touched. We had a reservation for two nights at $225 a night; at this price we expected more. I'm not sure how the ratings are so high? As I was walking back from our truck, I heard a guest say "this place is a Sh#% hole"… I wouldn't far… but PLEASE reconsider if you expect a clean room. The Inn Keepers are new; have only been there fours months; and after going to the room with us; refunded the second night as we were not going to stay there.

I can't say enough about Wharf Masters Inn! The location was amazing! The view was incredible! The staff were very friendly and very helpful! The room was luxurious! The grounds were beautiful… I would definitely stay again!

I was disappointed, for 160$/night I expected clean, cozy room as advertised. Our room was dated, dusty, smelled like old casino, with cracks on tiles and needs furniture and carpet replacement, deep cleaning and repair. Bed wasn’t comfortable and too narrow. Limited parking.

Quiet place by the fishing pier. Comfortable beds. Breakfast with made to order waffles.

Excellent value, fantastic, quiet location, nice rooms and friendly and helpful management. Our second time, and we will definitely be back again!

Good price. Right on a fishing oier with great views. The free breakfast was above average and the jacuzzi tub was very nice.

Everything is so beautiful! The views are absolutely breathtaking. The Inn sits upon a cliff, and offer the most spectacular views. The sound of the ocean, the crisp, fresh air. The starry night sky. One of the most relaxing places! Breakfast in the morning is amazing. Waffles, hard boiled eggs, oatmeal, bagels, raisin bread, roast, cereal, fruit, yogurt, coffee, hot chocolate, apple cidar, apple juice, orange juice. Many options! The rooms are cozy. The bed was so soft! Great sleep. Electric fireplace, that is so romantic. Ice bucket, wine glasses, and a bottle opener. Plus, shampoo, conditioner, soap, makeup wipes, and shower caps. The Jacuzzi tubs are wonderful! Nothing like a nice hot soak, after a day around town. The jets feel super great. Free massage! haha. They have pet friendly rooms! In the lobby you can buy snacks, beer, water, champagne, wine, bath salts, toothbrush. They have it all. There is coffee in the lobby all day. They have a snack vending machine, soda machine, and free ice just outside the lobby. Bring quarters. The machines only take quarters. Also in the lobby, they have a rack of DVDs that you can borrow. The TVs have a DVD player. Super nice! your room has a coffee pot, fridge and microwave. Also, an iron and board. Pretty much everything you will need is there. It's nice to get away and relax. The rooms are super clean, and everyone is so friendly. It's a home away from home.

This is a wonderful, out-of-the-way gym. It is obviously old, but well maintained. Each room has a jetted tub, and a fireplace, along with the typical microwave and refrigerator. It is up the hill from a functional Fishing Pier. The area was beautiful, the staff friendly, and the beds comfortable.

Late check in, good price, great comfort with the big tub. Beautiful View. Highly Recommend.

Great location and friendly staff but the continental breakfast is a joke. I've had better at Motel 6. They run out of stuff all the time and have no hot food at all except for waffles. Went at 9 am and they were out of hard boiled eggs and weren't going to make any more even though breakfast was open until 10 am. Went to the office later and they were out of hot water for tea or cocoa and the guy at the front desk said that was it for the day no more hot water! Kind of unbelievable given the prices. Cool spot horrible amenities.

Awesome place… Great rooms… Views of ocean from all rooms… Little difficult. To. Locate though.

Great place, wonderful views, good customer service and great rooms, a reason to return to USA again.

When you book check that you get accommodation that gives the Pacific Ocean, you will pay a little more, but without any kind of doubt it is worth it.

Great atmosphere, friendly staff, and wonderful views! Bonus, they have a walking trail at the top of the complex that goes out on to the north cliff that affords an unforgettable view of the sunset. Would definitely stay here again.

Its not clean. The breakfast is poor. The bed is excellent. NOT all rooms have ocean view. They don't have baby cribs.

Great place if you're traveling with pets. Friendly, helpful desk staff. Some rooms have wonderful views of ocean and pier. Big whirlpool tub and separate shower/toilet was nice. I wish I could have given 4.5 stars as only issue was week could hear people upstairs walking and running water, we'll after 11:00.

This place is beautiful! My family celebrated my mom's birthday here, and we were all relaxed and happy. The staff was super helpful and friendly, and the rooms were amazing. We will definitely be back here!

We came in as walk in guests. At first we thought the inn would be beyond our budget, but the prices were pretty reasonable considering it's such a nice spot. The hostess was kinda enough to lend me a blow up mattress for our room, and the room itself was fairly spacious. Big plus for the jet bathtubs and the balconies with a view. The included breakfast was alright.

That was the most original place to go. There really are fishermen right outside. Restaurant close by. Besides that only the sea. Great owner/staff.

Surprisingly nice room and Wi-Fi is a nice touch. Great view of the pier.

Have stayed here a dozen times — every time has been an excellent stay! Love the rooms and the beds! Looking forward for my next opportunity to visit again.

The Highlight of our trip. Not only for the large room, the view on the wharf and sea, but mostly for the kind and welcoming hosts (we arrived late on bicycles after closing time of local restaurants on Thanksgiving night. The owner took his car to fetch us a take away. Hospitality at its best).

The area was beautiful and they accept dogs. The breakfast room is large so everyone can sit. It was nice to have a waffle maker for breakfast along with juices, cereal and toast. The view was beautiful. It rained most of the time we were there but it was still lovely. We went to the casino they recommended and had a great time. It is a small casino and mostly slot machines but there is a computer black jack table in the back corner. The bartender Robert was friendly. The food was Awesome! They say many of the items on the menu are award winning and we believe it.

I am rating this as 5 stars because we had an excellent room. The inn keepers were very nice and so was our room. Excellent linens and the view was to die for. We would definitely recommend for anyone to stay at this hotel.

What a wonderful get away! We had a beautiful ocean view from the balcony which would be big $$$ anywhere else. It is quiet and quaint, like going back in time, yet the staff is friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. There is good food within walking distance, and even a gourmet level restaurant in town. The rooms are clean and well supplied, and with the help the front desk, we even had a wonderful local masseuse come and give us in room healing massages while the other one soaked in their enormous jetted tub. Marvelous.

Wharf Masters and their care takers were a highlight to our trip through California. Would be a bargain at twice the price. The Chowder house walking distance away had great food and a huge selection of beer on tap. The feather bed made us want to never leave. With the door open to the deck we were able to go to sleep listening to the waves on the beach.
