Location excellent. Hotel just so-so. Arrived at 4:30 and the room we should have checked into at 3pm wasn’t ready. Stayed two nights. Room wasn’t made up in between — we are ok with making our own beds but no refills for coffee machine or toiletries! Dreadful breakfast. Toast (ran out of jam) and iced boiled eggs! Cereals (what kids would eat — not adults) and waffles! Arrived and nowhere to sit for ages. Would pay and go elsewhere rather than wait for the comp breakfast. Lake Tahoe didn’t disappoint but hotel needs to up its game.

Hotel was clean and safe, rooms were comfy and have some cool theming. Parking was a complete nightmare, not a single open space in the hotels lots or the adjacent streets. Checking in wasn't great either. Only one lady to do it, and the process was slow so it created a long line. She also didn't tell us lots of important things, like where to get breakfast vouchers, check out times, etc. The hotel is pet friendly in rooms but has no grassy areas for dogs to go to the bathroom.

The rooms are recently remolded and modern but the piping in the hotel needs to be updated. If you like taking scalding hot showers that turn to ice and back again every 15 seconds this is a great hotel for you. Won't return solely because of this.

Came here for a decent clean room in Tahoe and was not disappointed. Beds were new and everyone was impressed with the bathroom. Overall we enjoyed our stay. I can see how others could have a bad experience as this really is still a motel. Breakfast was small (we skipped) and pool was nothing special.

I really enjoyed my stay at the Becket Hotel. The staff was very friendly and the rooms are very comfortable. The place looks a little strange since it's all made out of recycled materials, but that doesn't bother me. I don't know if I would call this place upscale but I still thought it was very nice. My only complaint is that the bed was too comfortable so I didn't want to get up and go see the town!

If you’re coming to Tahoe and plan to be outdoors then this is a good place to stay and rest. I come to Tahoe year after year and this has to be our shortest stay. I chose this location in particular because it is directly across the street from everything which is very accessible by walking. When we arrived, checking in was very easy, room was clean and a light bulb was out which was changed immediately. If you get a room, ask for the ones in the back. The view of heavenly is a sight to see while covered with snow. The pictures that I viewed prior to booking were exactly as shown. However the room did feel a bit small for a party of four and one thing to consider that I totally forgot about was not factoring the costs of eating out daily. Although, I enjoyed this place, next time I would have to consider a larger place with a kitchen. (Totally forgot about complimentary breakfast) Overall I was pleased with our stay. Kitchen being the only factor, I would recommend this place. Since, who stays indoors when in Tahoe and Starbucks is directly across the street!

Checking in was easy. The guy at the counter stated that our Resort fee was waived which was good. He also let us know that there was a very little continental breakfast in the morning. I came back the next morning to ask about the continental breakfast the same guy told me oh because your Resort fee was waived by him breakfast will be $20 I told them nevermind. I also let them know that the water pressure coming from the bathroom sink was just trickling water. Neither one of them addressed the issue. They did not even respond to me letting them know about their bathroom sink and the water pressure. When I got back to the room after getting coffee from Starbucks my boyfriend stated that the shower knob fell off when he tried to take a shower. We decided to pack our bags and leave this Motel without taking a shower and drive home. Very disappoint!

The location was great. We could walk to everything. The room was Ok, kind of small. It is definitely a motel. Doors open to parking lot, and windows are not tinted. The heater really did not work well. Jacuzzi area was a bit strange. I hit my head really hard on overhang. They gave us vouchers for breakfast, which was really nice, but when we went to eat most of the food was gone. Overcooked hard boiled eggs, waffle maker. Cereal and yogurt. We ended up going out to breakfast every morning. It could be a lot nicer, especially for the price.

It is more like a motel not hotel. The rooms are facing the parking area and windows are not tinted so you should keep them closed at all time. The heater is making too much noise and the walls are so thin you can hear everything from next room. I gave them two stars for cleanliness & comfortable beds.

Room was newly renovated and very clean. Mini fridge was very mini but fit what we needed. Bathroom was fairly spacious for a small room. The lot we used had mandatory valet but they never seemed to be around when I needed them, I always ended up heading to the front desk to collect my keys. Breakfast was great, included in our resort fee… eggs, bacon, potatoes, waffles, yogurt, toast, fresh fruit, cereal, coffee, orange juice, milk. Walls are thin but I think it's just an old hotel. Walk to everything in downtown south lake. Would book again.

Great location for skiing. It takes under 10 minutes to walk to the gondola. Parking is included. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable with pleasant decor. We had a ground floor accessible room so the bathroom was spacious. There was a wardrobe and fridge but no microwave. There wasn't any seating in the room, just a bed. Breakfast was ok with eggs, potatoes and bacon or sausage and cereals and yoghurt. It wasn't guaranteed to include hot breakfast each day at the hotel's discretion. We stayed 5 nights. This isn't a fancy place but it is clean and good value for the price.

Comfortable bed and small but clean bathroom, and convenient and walking distance to some eateries and gondola. Unfortunately, the smoker broke at the cross bbq that served the hotel (should I say, motel) guests the week we stayed here, so no place to hang around at the hotel. Breakfast menu was a fixed menu and got tiresome by half way through the ski week.

The good, the rooms are nice. The bad, layout of the building is odd. You have to walk around outside to get to most rooms, there are no passages that let you through to get to one side to the other. Cheap room keys or something we were locked out twice and had to walk clear around the building to the front desk to get them unlocked. Staff are not that pleasant either.

Went for a birthday celebration at their banquet area. Bar staff was friendly, and the food was good. Got a little warm in the room and we had to open a few windows, but otherwise a good time all around.

Location is great — easy walk to gondola. Clean and modern rooms but a bit on the small side. Walls are thin so there's some noise from the outside and adjacent rooms.

I really enjoyed staying at this hotel! The rooms are really clean and well maintained. The location is great, right next to a major shopping centre and ski resort, which is all we came for in lake tahoe. The only problem was we had to switch rooms in the middle of our stay because of the blinds and we had to ask for a safe, it wasn't there initially. Overall, great hotel!

Love that this place is dog friendly and is super close to the main Heavenly village area. But the first room we got was not very nice. Seems like it was cheaply renovated and was very noisy with people walking by. Management was very nice about moving us to a better room that was not renovated, which was actually much nicer and had that “lodge” feel.

I really enjoyed being here. Check in was easy. The hotel room was modern and pretty nice for a 3 star hotel. Had basic amenities. Breakfast not included. Spa and pool were nice. Very clean. Dog friendly. They also have a restaurant and the food is really good. The pricing is reasonable for what you get. It's right across the street from shops, a grocery store, and Heavenly Ski Resort. A couple minutes away from the lake. Convenient location. The staff were helpful and accommodating. They really made everything stress free.

Confusing hotel. The website gives you a false idea of what it really is. There are three different motel buildings, and it feels like they're in the process of slowly updating them… rather than the sleek boutique image they're pushing. The first room we were put in didn't have anywhere to hang clothes and the hot/cold water taps were reversed. When we asked to change rooms, the next one was freezing cold and hadn't been cleaned from the last guests. Just odd. We never did find the bar we saw in pictures, unless it was in the BBQ restaurant on the corner. All that said, the front desk clerks were friendly and helpful. We (eventually) got a good room, in a good location, at a good rate.

Very disappointing, one Star is too much! This hotel is no longer a family/kids orientated hotel. We have been coming to this location for several years and lots of ownership/name changes. This new "team" has turned this hotel into a college fraternity party place. 10:00P. M. — 2:00A. M, underage drinking, parting in the parking lots, smoking dope in evert corner of the hotel. The hotel has absolutely no control of this place! The South Lake Tahoe Police were at our hotel all night long "trying" to control the college students, but the parting continued. The next morning the front desk had a serious attitude about our concerns and everyone else in line to checkout. We're all told to contact the manager on Monday morning. Our family was forced to checkout early…

Super trendy and cute hotel! Check in was a breeze. The staff was super friendly. The valet guys were the most accommodating hotel staff I've come across! Little bummed out the hot tub wasn't working. But great price for location.

Check in was easy, was somewhat excited to see the room. Got inside and you could tell it was a renovation done cheap. The main bedroom is decent enough with the reclaimed wood, comfy beds, and furniture. The bathroom was a different story. Paint was not good, no fan so there was mold on the ceiling, shower door had no drip rail to catch water so the floor was soaked, and the water was cold. We called the front desk and eventually got it sorted, but would not book this place again.

Great interior design. Decent Wi-Fi. Great staff. Limited on parking spots.

Conveniently placed on the edge of downtown South Lake Tahoe, this revamped motel-like establishment has taken great strides under new management to give itself a much needed facelift. The rooms boast a modern look with memory foam mattress, articulating bed lamps, and a sliding barn-like bathroom door on a pulley track system. There is also a mini fridge and a 32" hdtv. I hear there's a pool. I haven't seen it. All in all, this is a reasonably priced place to crash whole having fun here at Lake Tahoe.

Recently renovated so the indoor and outdoor decor were nice, but there were a lot of little things that could've been nicer, considering the hotel's not very cheap. I'm our room, the baseboard was coming apart and we kept kicking it on our way out of the bathroom, which made it peel off more, the rooms were very small, and it was difficult to control the room temperature. If the AC wasn't on, the room got very humid and hot, if the AC was on, it was too cold, and we could hear a lot of noise from across the street in the room. Though, on the plus side, we did enjoy the fire pit at night.

Clean nice rooms. Just small things that were annoying. Like the location of the lobby, and that there were no microwaves in our rooms. The ten crows restaurant below the hotel was amazing! I love how close we were to the private beach.

Not what I was expecting, but not terrible. No A/C, so a bit loud after a concert on a Saturday night with the windows open. Staff were very friendly & accommodating.

Everything was great except there wasn't enough parking at the front parking lot so we had to park at the back.

We stayed here for 3 days 2 nights. Reception was nice and the place was recently renovated. We stayed in a two bed room that included two queen size beds. This place is a great location, the price is great also. I would definitely stay here next time I am in Tahoe. Also they have resident dogs here on the property that are super sweet in the hotel lobby.

X Crows is a restaurant in the hotel very excellent. I like how the hotel has two sides one is contemporary the other is another style. The workers are very good and not tended very well.

Great location and the rooms are clean. Beds are very comfortable. Service was great and entry even called to check on us and made sure we were happy with our room. This is a dog friendly hotel and they even have dogs on staff that you can take for a walk.

Its far from casinos. If you are here to have fun and gamble. Get hardrock or something there. We walked 2 nights in a row. Not fun. It was cold as hell. It looks close, but walking in the cold is not fun.

I booked a room on the first when the weather forecast said it was going to be nice. My date for May 6 to May 7. A storm came in out of nowhere dropping up to 12 inches in the sierras. I called to let them know I couldn't make it. Before I could get done explaining why I could not get there the little punk on the other end of the line reminded me in a rude tone by stating "our cancellation policy is very clear". I understand the way hotels work, I also understand that if you want repeat business you go above and beyond what the customer expects. Especially when a spring snow storm comes out of nowhere. I've heard the hotel has been struggling for business and has horrible reviews. I'm assuming this is a money issue due to poor management. Way to go Hotel Becket.

Okish place. Close to the major eateries and 10 min walk to the lake. Staff was very helpful. The room had a kind of an odor to it hence a star less. "Serves the purpose".

The place is very clean and rooms are spacious. Is fences the lake and many places to eat.
