Worst hotel service. They charged me $60 for the bed feet Sheet. Why would I take a horrible thing? Never ever coming back. The 2 owners are horrible people he opened my door at 8:40 when check out time was 11. My car was outside so obviosly I was ínside. I was almost naked. That was really disturbing for me. He said I needed to leave now. It was 8:40! He always creeps in the windows. Have them close!

A little gem in the rough. Very clean. Close to everything. Easy access to many places. Money saved got to spend on wine. Andy the manager was very pleasant and hospitable. Most definitely will come back.

The service was good but the room we got was a bit creepy. We entered our room and there was a random room with a desk and chair facing a wall with a painting. Creepy vibes.

Clean and affordable need I say more.

Old style travel Lodge. Updated but nothing special. Comfortable stay; Wi-Fi, minimum continental breakfast, extremely low water flow/pressure in the shower.

Just a few details, the bathroom had baseboards removed, I imagine from mold growing, because that is what it looked like. The shower head must have been installed with the thought of only kids using it. It must have been no higher than 4'10". And when I first arrived before seeing the room, I asked of a late check out was possible, the owner said that the check out was @ 11:00 but I could have until 11:30. Then the day arrived for me to check out and at 10:50 he was knocking on the door to the room and peering in the window. Creepy. And did I mention he could see my car parked right there. (each room has a carport) Won't be going back there.

The owner was a little touchy and very reserved at check in. Room was clean, bed was comfy, cool motorlodge style parking.

The room was missing some baseboard panels due to mold. The heater/air conditioner was a little janky, and the shower head was placed for someone under 5 foot tall. So a little uncomfortable.

Old. Needs a thorough upgrade and clean. Cheep linen and towels room 9 has a very strong smell of urine from bathroom and carpet. Latter needs a clean. Felt bedbugs here. Checkout at 11 am but Front desk calling for key at 10:27 am. Breakfast is a tiny nook with no seating area.

I have stayed at the Napa Discovery in quite a few times and each time I am very satisfied with my stay… other then the service. The owner I believe he is always is so rude and very stereotypical. He does not allow smoking on premises… ok understandable. But please don't tell me 5 times before I leave the office as though you're yelling at me like I've just done it in front of your face. Always looks at me and tells me no partying because I look young… he assumes all young people wouldhave parties and ruin his property. He then again tells you no parties and yells it at you numerous times before you leave the office. I would love to give this place 5 stars but because of the owner and him making you feel as tho you've already don't something wrong and you need to walk on eggshells your whole stay I cant… just as I can't ever stand staying longer then one night. So if you're just looking for a spot to sleep for a few hours it's perfect.

The room was comfortable, and very clean but not fancy. There was a bedside table on each side of the king sized bed. The shower was large and tile. This is an old motel that has been renovated. We had a problem with the toilet running on, but it was fixed right away as soon as we mentioned it. The breakfast was barely a continental one, with toast or bagels, cream cheese, oatmeal, and coffee or tea. The person at the front desk was helpful and nice. The room was reasonably priced for the area. There was a tiny office (no lobby), and an outside set of patio chairs and a table right next to the small parking lot. This place is okay for a place to sleep, watch TV, and take a shower. Don't expect much more.

All of the rooms are intimate. All single level, with covered parking between. If you want quiet, it's a good place to stay. The rooms are larger than they look from outside. They're clean and comfortable.

If you pay anything more than like 110 a night for this tiny, basic place, you are getting ripped off (I did, but that's what I get for booking late I suppose…) There's a TV, AC and microwave. Low ceilings and tiny bathroom would make this a poor choice for anyone very tall or fat. The queen bed takes up like a third of the room. Bed was on the harder side, too. Wouldn't stay here again, but it'll serve as a place to sleep.

OK room. Bed was extremly hard. Frig and microwave in room:) No coffeemaker in room : (Carpeting was dated and looked dirty. Nice that our unit had no shared walls with the neighbors. Road traffic noise was loud in the mornings. Good central location for what we had planned.

Serviceable room with a refrigerator and microwave. Only a window AC unit but it worked well. The room was rather dusty but the bedding was clean and the bed relatively new, which is what counts when you just need a place to stay overnight. Free parking and free "breakfast" (some dry cereal and coffee). I was surprised at how hot the water in the bathroom got, so that was nice.

I doubt I'd stay here again. Napa is very expensive to begin with but $500 for 2 nites for these accommodations is just too much. Unfortunately I was here for a very special occasion and waited too long to book reservations any where else. It is just a basic room with old heavily worn furnishings, a LOUD AC and rust covered shower rod. Went to close the window curtain and the entire rod, curtain and all fell down. This place has huge potential to be an adorable getaway but not without some room upgrades and maybe consider hiring a designer to provide a decorating theme.

Quaint, cottage style accommodations. Easy check in, and a parking space near each suite. Room was comfortable and clean. Breakfast of bagels, toast, and danishes was provided. Location was quiet, and even had some deer roaming behind the property. Conveniently close to town, about a half mile away. We enjoyed our stay.

I booked a room last night after working a long day and the man was very rude during check in. In the morning I clean the room turn off the TV and am ready to check out and he comes to my door yelling at me no pets no parties. I did not have a party nor do I own a pet. He said I'm no longer welcome, but he has lost my business as he was extremely rude. Local or not, If you own a business and someone comes to stay, be nice, be courteous, and treat your guests with respect.

When I first arrived the place seemed nice, clean and quiet. When I first walked into the room I noticed a smell of mildew. I dealt with that the first night. I just aired out the room. The second night as I was sleeping with my 4 month old baby I woke up at 3:30 am and found a bed bug crawling next to my face heading towards my son. I immediately jumped out the bed and began to take the covers and sheets off the bed. During this process I found another bed. At that point I packed all me belongings. I went to the front desk and told them I just found 2 bed bugs I no longer wish to stay there. I called the company j booked the hotel with to get a refund. They informed me that they had to contact the hotel nonce they did the general manager 1st offered to place me into another room. I declined that being the fact I already found 2 bed bugs crawling with me and my baby. They charged me full price for staying 2 nights when the second night was 1/2. Left well before the check out time. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone if you are a clean freak like myself.

Love this place. Great service. Comfortable bungalows. Has a nice Alfred Hitchcock feel to it. Close to everything. But feels like your miles away from hustle and bustle. It fills up quick at times. I've been here for two weeks and can't wait to return.

Cuter from the outside but has good amenities and does the job. Great location.

Nice and helpful staff. Clean rooms with microwave, fridge freezer and HDMI ready TV for when you get sick of the 50+ cable channels. Noticeably missing is the in room coffee pot, but a seasoned traveler like myself always packs a french press. There is complementary coffee like stuff offered in the lobby in the morning along with some light breakfast items, but I'm a bit too snobby to partake in that. The price is low for the area. I was saving my money for the $15 glasses of local wine and the $20 cheeseburgers. It's walking distance to downtown if you don't mind the mile walk before walking a mile or two around downtown. The wine train is within stumbling distance too. I highly recommend this place. {edit} After reading other reviews, there must have been a management change within the last year. No pet policy and apparently not allowing 4 children in a smallish one bed room is not allowed either. Double pluses IMHO. We had a nice conversation over wines with other grownup travelers in the parking lot last night too. Good times.

VERY RUDE FRONT DESK! we informed them that we were in town visiting our mother in the hospital. We had 2 Adults and 4 sleeping children. He hung up on us as soon as we said 4 kids. Just because there were 4 kids, doesnt mean they would be loud. How someone conduct business like that?

Great value for money, clean rooms with comfortable beds and well equipped bathroom. Loads of space and good room service. Breakfast is a bit limited, but the overall vale for money is excellent. Short drive away from Napa.

We loved this little hotel; especially considering how much less expensive it is than comparable option. They did a wonderful job updating the hotel — the furnishing are modern and clean. I loved the TV in the room and the free Wi-Fi. The morning coffee and continental breakfast was delicious and free, which is rare for hotels in the area (excluding B and B's obviously). The staff was very nice and helpful as well. The parking is free, the furniture is all new and there is no outside noise. We had a very relaxing stay at the economy price! I am coming back for sure.

I don't normally write bad reviews, but I can't help myself. My wife and I stayed here one night; and that was one night too many. The satellite receiver was not hooked up to the tv, because the input jacks were torn out of the back. We noticed this pretty late last night and did not feel like having someone work on the TV while we were resting in bed. We informed the manager first thing in the morning, not asking for a discount; the room was already affordable, so that was not a problem. But she insisted on reducing the price a small amount. We were out by the checkout time, and spoke to her husband. He was very rude, insisted that it was our fualt, and there would be no discount. No TV info or local information in the room; the light switches are installed upside down; heater/ac sounds like a 747 passanger plane; no ironing board; and no info on the Wi-Fi access. Affordable room, but with 20-30$ more you could be alot more confortable.

Gross! What's up with all the positive reviews? Carpet is dingy and dirty. Shower curtain rod sagged so the curtain won't close. I asked to fix it which they never did. Wi-fi doesn't work most of the time, when it does it's.

Do not ever stay at the Discovery Inn in Napa, California. The room reeked of dog urine, after the powdery room spray that burned my sinuses wore off. It was so bad I could not sleep. At 4:30 am, I packed up and left. Horrible! Manage denied everything, no refund, blamed it on my dog and was quite scary to talk to at 5AM.

I love the charm of this place! I love to experience new things so when I across this place on the internet, I knew I had to try my chances here. Well, luck was on my side because I loved this place! I love how it has this old Napa feeling while still being able to have a modern amenities. I think we spent a good 4-5 hours outside just reading, talking, and taking in the Napa feel. We were able to sit outside and watch the sunset too, how beautiful. I wish there was less noise during the day time (less distracting so I could read) but it was fine once I got used to it. The rooms were great too. Beds were comfortable, showers were hot with lots of pressure, internet was free and so was breakfast. If you want to experience something new, then check this place out! It sure is nice to get away from the typical hotels every once in a while.
