Basic room, parking, shower/bath, comfortable bed, clean facilities, friendly staff. Free Internet, but almost unusably slow. No breakfast offered.

First, horrible (actually no parking) parking when pulling in. Once at the the front desk the clerk could not find our reservation and kept telling us it wasn’t in the system. The clerk called his ”uncle” and still no luck. Finally after about 30 minutes he found it. But it didn’t end there as he asked us to pay cash. If that wasn’t enough, he told us we would have to move rooms on the second night. Finally he slipped in he couldn’t guarantee a room for the second night. We left.

It's okay not too bad. Perfectd stay if you aren't going to be staying for long.

Great place to stay! Near shopping and convenience stores, and the hotel was decent and staff very friendly.

The Seaside Inn met expectations and then some for an oceanside motel. Room was clean and had the basic amenities. No breakfast, but there were plenty of good restaurants to make up for that.

Ok… It's not the Ritz… But gor the price… Worth it! Great location for Monterey area activities! I've stayed here a few times. Nice folks!

Very unscrupulous hotel and will extort you if they can. Our room was not clean and had crusty stains on the comforter. Clearly comforters are not cleaned after each guest. There were numerous cigarette butts and a disgusting dirty sheet on the back patio. This was one of the worst hotels I have stayed in but inventory was limited due to a large event during our stay. There are many other options typically and I would recommend to look elsewhere if possible. Parking is also very inadequate along with very rude counter staff and very poor housekeeping. This hotel was gross to be blunt.

Cute rooms for the right price. Everything is clean, beds pretty comfortable. Parking is hard, but it's a small space. Only feedback, wish they were queen size beds.

The rooms were great for the price range, the owner was very nice. The location is great just at the start of the PCH scenic drive from Montery to Los Angeles.

Location is about 15 minute drive to Monterey Bay Wharf. The rooms are some of the cleanest rooms I have ever been in and the staff were exceptional. Speedy check-ins and check-out. Upper floor balconies are small, but a wonderful spot to stand and look around. Overall, an excellent place perfect for stopping and resting overnight.

This is hands down the best place to stay in the area. Clean comfortable rooms, upgraded everything, good water pressure, and seriously, the owners couldn't be any nicer! This will always be my first choice when I'm in the area.

Given the location of the seaside inn, the best this place could be described is "adequate. " Unfortunately, it falls short of that. The same staff person was there basically the whole time I was there and he took a disliking to me almost immediately. For whatever reason the key card wouldn't stay magnetized so I had to go to the front counter and ask it to be re-magnetized and also I asked for an extra pillow. He was pretty rude at that point. This place is also close to some emergency vehicle depot or something because I heard them constantly when I was there. The AC was also loud, but the place was clean and cheap. It does include Wi-Fi but its awful.

The room is decent for the price and location. Booked this place because of the “free continental breakfast” as shared in the pictures and description. BUT there isn’t any. Not sure why they would post there is.

I liked the room just fine. The reason for 2 stars is bc parking BLOWS. There is not nearly enough parking. Not even close. You have to park on the street. No huge deal but not ideal in the area. Across the street is a good mall: Target, bagels. Etc.

After reading some negative reviews and after spending almost 2 weeks in this hotel… I have nothing negative to say. The owners were super nice and "the teenager" is part of the family too. Some of the clients that have posted negative reviews are expecting a 5 star hotel… And it is NOT! It is the best place to stay for a 2 star hotel. Yes the price changes on Fridays and Saturdays due to the demand on the area; and yes the parking gets packed sometimes but the place is comfortable, has a frig, a hot shower and my room got cleaned up everyday. Few minutes from the beach and shopping (Costco, Target, Marshalls, Panda Express, etc) also easy access from the freeway. Give it a try… You'll be happy you did. Owners are very open for any suggestions… Almost bought a timeshare there… just kidding :-). Thank you so much for making my stay very pleasant.

We booked the hotel in April 2017, booking a room off the ground floor with private balcony/patio, and a complimentary breakfast. When we arrived on 6 October, we were give a ground floor room opening directly on to the car park. There was no alternative available. We were rudely advised that there was no breakfast, despite the fact that as of 15 Oct 2017 the hotel's website clearly states that a complimentary breakfast is provided. The hotel itself is acceptable, and close to the terminus for buses to Monterey, and a large supermarket. However we would not recommend it until they provide what they advertise.

Clean room and nice bathroom! Very friendly staff! Not a bad price for the area and they are nice cozy hotel! We wanted to stay a second night but they were full on the next night! Area is not that bad with shopping centers a short walk away! I highly recommend sea side inn!

Crashed here for 1 night, check in + out was easy, staff was very friendly and efficient. Room was way bigger than I anticipated and was clean, internet worked great. Price was reasonable to high, although I did book last minute and got a room that was much more than I needed (due to availability) — would definitely book again, perhaps if I could plan better and get a smaller room at a better rate. Thank you Seaside Inn!

Don't trust the positive reviews. That's what led me to book this place and I had a horrible experience. The lady at the front desk was rude and couldn't be bothered answering my questions. She seemed too busy and rushed me through the check in process. They had a teenager at the front desk the next day who was totally clueless about customer service. Really? A teenager? I asked him a question and he kept repeating the same thing like a broken record. Very unhelpful. Parking is pretty tight and the room is not spacious enough for the price. They had shampoo in a little packet instead of a bottle. Very cheap. Never again.

Very clean, simple, but nice hotel. Staff are very friendly and the rooms are clean and have everything needed. Mattress was a little on the hard side but everything else was great. Also had a fridge and microwave. Stayed here 3 nights and would absolutely come here again. For the price, it would surprise me if you could find anything better.

The rooms are small, but everything seemed updated and clean. Our refrigerator didn't get very cold even though we had it to it's coolest setting. Also, the parking lot is really tiny and I bet on busy days there's not enough spots. Service was great and the grounds are maintained really well. We would stay here again if we are in the area again.

Excel entity well clean in a good location this place fourth them silent good service to the customer and good prices.

It is adorable. Great people that offer wonderful accommodations. Refrigerator, microwave and a small breakfast in the morning.

The service and the room was really exzellent. The seaside inn is just 5 to 10 minutes away from the Monterey citycenter and the room rates are much better. So its a nuce clean and lovley place total stay.

Decent place. I'd give it five stars if it had better parking. Came back at night to find all 15 spots full and had to park by the maintenance shed in the back lot. Other than that it's good.

Be aware that parking is limited to one vehicle per room, so don't meet up in separate vehicles. If lot is full, you have to park on the street. Only one disabled parking spot. So, if you meet up here in separate vehicles and both parties are disabled. The one who is he most diaabled gets to park in the lot and the other on the street to walk in. Strongly recommend not driving large trucks or vechicles. Parking lot is very tight. Very difficult to back out without hitting other vehicles.

This quaint, affordable little Inn is like a gem tucked away in Seaside, only minutes away from the heart of Monterey and Cannery Row. The owners are friendly and helpful. It's pristine with very comfortable beds and a spacious bath. The mattress is so comfy you can be sure you'll get a good night's sleep. You can tell the owners are quality-conscious as they have chosen to furnish their rooms with beautiful wood and marble inside while displaying fresh potted flowers outside. It's located in a relatively quiet area with good parking and if you listen carefully you can hear the surf at night. They also offer a nice continental breakfast with superb coffee which is important to me. It's a perfect getaway :)

Overall this is a good hotel. Pros — -It's clean. I was really impressed with how clean it was for the price (we paid $50/night). -Quiet. We were on the one-story side, so it might have been different if we had people above us, but it was very quiet. -Courteous staff. The front desk was helpful getting us checked in. We also purchased our aquarium tickets here, which gives you 2 days for the price of 1. -Location. I'm not saying it's in a ritzy part of town, but it's close to a shopping center, the freeway, and the Monterey activities. We could get to the Wharf, Aquarium, or Cannery Row in less than 10 minutes. Beach access is also very close. -Price. For $50/night, you can stay fairly close to the attractions without spending a huge amount. -The bed was comfortable. -The internet was pretty fast. Cons — -Parking. It's BAD. The first night we were here it was no problem. The second night we came back to the room around 10:00 and there wasn't a single spot. The hotel has around 20 rooms and around 15 parking spaces. There is no street parking adjacent to the hotel, so you'd be stuck parking in the Vitamin World parking lot. We chanced it and parked in a handicapped spot and put a note on the car. Regardless of the cost of the room, I think parking should be made available for at least 1 car/room. -The bed felt really small. It didn't feel like a queen.

A-Okay — If they let me give half stars, I'd probably give 3.5. At $50 a night we were satisfied with our stay and would stay again. If it was up closer to their posted rack rate, we'd most likely look elsewhere. The Good: •The woman working the front desk (probably the owner/manager) was very friendly and personable. It is so nice to encounter somebody at the front desk that actually should be in the hospitality business, it feels rare these days. •Overall, the room, bathroom, and parking lot were clean. •The mini-fridge was new and very spacious, probably the nicest one I've ever seen in a motel. •It was reasonably quiet. (We were on the one story brick building side, I imagine the newer looking two story building is noisier. ) •It was spacious (with only one queen bed in the room). •The location was convenient to the freeway, and near fast food and shopping, making it a good road trip stop. •Upon check-in, they gave me the password for the Wi-Fi. I am so tired of needing to call the front desk after I get to the room because it turns out that I need a password, they did not offer it, it isn't in my paperwork, and it isn't posted anywhere in the room. The Bad: •They have 17 motel rooms, and only 15 parking spaces, several of them tight — 16 if you count the handicap space, but there is no guaranty that somebody with a handicap sticker will be staying on any particular night.
