Great rooms! Very clean and COVID safe. A view of the ocean from every balcony patio. Will stay again!

The ocean view was amazing. The room was very accommodating. Sweet people at the front desk. I would definitely come back. Can I go back now?

This room is beautiful. Has a small front room, then you step up into the bedroom with a large window facing the ocean!

This lodge is my most favorite place on the north coast, the rooms are spacious, the windows are huge, and you can practically step right from your room to the beach!, it's just got a great all around feel! I have been going here for at least 20yrs!

This is the only place we stay in fort bragg hands down the best place here. We visit alot during the year and have never had not one complaint…

Loved this place! Second floor room was huge! Fully equipped with a spa tub and fireplace. Very nice way to spend some downtime.

Very clean rooms although in need of some cosmetic upgrades/updates. Comfortable beds, each room faces the ocean and has a little patio. Love that the rooms have Kuerigs, my husband and I bring along a few of our favorite k-cups to avoid generally bad hotel coffee, although I can't speak to this hotels coffee.

Don't judge a book by its cover is the first I have to say. From 1st glance its looks ordinary but the rooms are beautiful and the views were to die for. The staff were so accommodating and friendly. A definite must stay!

This place was awesome! The view was amazing and I could see the ocean from right outside my window. The room was very nice, clean, and comfortable, and the people were very nice.

We stayed at the lodge for two nights and had a lovely time. When we first got there we were mildly disappointed, I don't believe the room we were first put in was cleaned. After we discovered that the tub didn't work we were moved to another room, which had been cleaned and had a working tub. I wish the breakfast food options were a little better, it's mostly just pastries and juice. Having a toaster or some yogurt would've made it a bit nicer. In the end, what really made it great was how kind and attentive the staff were, and it made what could've been a bad experience a good one.

I'm SO happy I found this little lodge online. We rolled into town late after a long day exploring the coast and getting a little carsick cutting across on Highway 1. The staff at the desk greeted me with a warm smile, helpful information, and such a pleasant atmosphere that I walked out with a big smile, and a couple of fresh bananas. The room itself was a two Queen beds room, and was beautiful, clean, and HUGE. I loved the separation of the beds, so my kids could sleep around the corner! We sat outside on the deck and listened to the waves (it was too dark and foggy to see anything at that point. ) I slept great, and woke up a little sad to see it was foggy outside. But the fog quickly lifted, and I enjoyed my coffee on the deck with an ocean view. It was amazing. My husband and son got some biscotti and fruit in the front office, and we all enjoyed breakfast watching the waves roll in just outside the window. Our family walked and explored the trails out back, and eventually settled on one of the beaches for the rest of the day. We were four of 7 people on an entire beach! It was magical, and we will definitely be staying here again!

We stayed here for our anniversary a few months back. The staff was so thoughtful leaving us a Happy Anniversary card and a bottle of champagne to celebrate with. The view from our room was breath taking. The bed was a bit lumpy, could probably use a new mattress. Other than that, we definitely enjoyed our stay at this location.

Awesome place. The views are excellent and walking distance from Glass Beach. Botanic garden is also 10 mins by car. The room we booked was specious and sea facing so you can see beautiful sunset from your room.

Really great place to stay the room was big and there is a walkway between the buildings so you can walk on the path that is there or to can go down to the beach. The staff was really friendly. The room also has a little patio that you can go on or they have a table inside. It has a great view and was really easy to get to.

Although the furnishings are out dated, we loved the place! Ocean view, outdoor seating outside our room, refrigerator, Jacuzzi tub, king size bed, fireplace heater, and a spacious room. My only recommendation would be to include a microwave in the rooms. Will definitely be back!

Breathtaking views from the balcony and a short walk to the edge of the cliff. The hotel is a bit dated on the decor but is clean. They have a coffee maker & a fridge in the room and serve juices, pastries and some fruit in the morning near the reception. They also have electric car charging available for Tesla cars. It's close to Glass beach and other attractions like Skunk Train, Botanical gardens etc.

This is one of the best hotels I have ever stayed at. Beautiful ocean views. There is an outside balcony to stand on and they provide plastic chairs in the room so you can sit out on your balcony too. Staff are so friendly and helpful. The only downside is there is not a smoking area and I am a smoker, so I feel like the same way smoking isn't allowed in the room or on the balcony for the comfort and enjoyment of non smokers they should provide an outdoor area where you can smoke, so us smokers can feeI comfortable too. I guess I just feel like they should try to accommodate us a little too as we our patrons as well. Even if it is just a little covered area with a picnic bench… hence the 4 instead of 5 stars…

Just called to book a room and was told that they had a kind bed available for two adult only. I told him we have to children as well and he replied with an “ oh well I’m, sorry” “kids are nothing to be sorry” about was my reply… since when are children treated like pets?

Great view, very friendly and helpful staff. In need of a remodel, which is suppose to happen to upstairs rooms, new owner of property. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Clean rooms. View of the ocean from all rooms. Nice light breakfast. Easy access to cool coastline area. Nicely maintained. Will return when in area.

They have a jaccuzzi in the hotel room, which was awesome! Also every room has a great view of the ocean. We were easily able to see grey whales while eating complimentary breakfast.

We had stayed at another hotel last year which was a very nice place other than it over looked the harbor. I chose this year and while it could stand some updating mainly the bathroom the room was clean and spacious. A dining table placed a picture window and a view that the only reason I come to the coast. Staff was curtious and polite. Added bonus this past weekend we were able to view several groups of whales migrating south from our dining table and private balcony.

Very friendly, kind staff. Great breakfast treats, amazing rooms were exceptionally clean. Over all, I loved this place. I would come back again.

Great room with amazing views! The "breakfast" needs some improvement. I was disappointed the first night when we tried to use the jacuzzi. The water barely even got warm with only the hot nozzle turned on. After a long drive, we were really looking forward to it. The 2nd day the water heated up just fine and was great. We will be back.

Wonderful, we saw 2 humpbacks break and swimming down then the coast. Beautiful.

My husband and I just spent the night there last night for our anniversary and we had an amazing night there. Romantic and just what we needed to relax and what we felt to be the best of Fort Bragg. ❣We will be back, Thank you Ocean view lodge for making everything perfect. ✌️

A very good stay for our one night in Fort Bragg. Room was clean and comfortable. All the rooms have a large picture window overlooking the ocean and a door that goes out to your small porch. You can take a short trail down to the beautiful beach. There is no AC so it would have been nice to open a window — front window has no opening — and we didn't want to leave the door opened on the first floor. Overall I would stay here again, but on the second floor. The staff was friendly. It definitely was a great location!

We were greeted very warmly, the room was very clean, the balcony was excellent with a perfect view. Couldn't have a better location! We could sleep with the balcony door open being on the second floor and hear the ocean waves all night, along with the fresh ocean smell. The jetted tub was very relaxing after a day of walking along miles of gorgeous beaches including Glass Beach and Mickeriker (sp? ) State park. It's benefits definitely out way it's slightly outdated fixtures and we would highly recommend this hotel for a couples get away!

Amazing rooms with amazing views. Staying here was an excellent experience. The rooms come with some premium accommodations including spa tubs and fireplaces. The beach access is a bit precarious but that is common for this area. There are plenty of walking trails nearby and the location puts you in range of whatever you would like to do.

Can' beat the view. Love the location along the 10 mile trail. Biked to MacKerricher and Glass Beach. Rooms are larger than typical hotel rooms.

We only stopped because our two year old had a bathroom emergency, and the older lady at the front desk was very curt and said, "No, not one for the public, try another hotel. " Generally I expect kindness from an establishment I stay at. They are off my list permanently. We stayed at the Holiday Inn at Ft. Bragg and we had an EXTREMELY kind staff. Go there instead.

Room expensive for what it was. The worst thing was the 6 adults and around 10 children in the hotel next door, standing opposite our room window and balcony. We couldn't use the balcony and had to shut the curtains and door as they were looking towards our room, drinking beer, spitting and making a lot of noise. We came for a relaxing weekend, but it certainly wasnt. We cancelled our second night and left the next day. The owner was very gracious though and the view was nice.

We live an hour away, inland. No matter how many times we come here, it always feels like our home away from home, waiting for us. Relaxing, welcoming and restful every time. With unquestionably the best views on the coast, and the best access to walking and viewing anywhere.

Wonderful rooms, can't wait to visit again. Loved the fire place and whirlpool in the room. Beautiful views and private deck. Enjoyed our stay.

Ocean view lodge in Fort Bragg, Ca, was an amazing experience for my wife and I. We were on our honeymoon and our room had exactly what we both wanted. Loved it and would definitely return! Also will recommend to friends and family.

We just took my mom there to "get through" loosing my Dad 1 year ago… it was the best decision we could have made! The staff checking in were so thoughtful and caring, when we arrived to our room we could not believe IT WAS PERFECT! Clean! Spacious! Beautiful ocean view! I made a comment online when booking the room why we were coming… they had set our room up special for us! Cookies on a platter, chilled bottle of champagne and chilled bottle of apple cider along with beautiful champagne glasses. I would HIGHLY recommend this hotel! This will be where we stay when not camping in Fort Brag! Thank you Ocean View Lodge for taking such great care of us during this difficult time!

This is our second time staying here. This time we booked the upstair room with spa and a fireplace in the room. Everything was great. The view from the upstairs balcony was fantastic. The staff was very friendly and helpful. This is our favorite place to stay.

Awesome experience. Staff helped me into my room with luggage (my hands were full). Smiles, happy willing to help at any time. Fresh flowers and champagne in room when we arrived, with robes and slippers. VERY comfortable beds. Jacuzzi was so relaxing! We will return!

The Best View of Ocean and it was nice to wake up with Ocean breeze and sound and a superb view of Sunset in the evening! The amenities are not so good. Hotel room is old, no microwave. But view is worth every $$$.

Very quiet lodge. Amazing Oceanfront property with trails all over the place. All rooms have a balcony. Great price for the location. All the employees were very nice and personable!

We enjoyed our stay at the Ocean View Lodge. We stayed 2 nights on a quick weekend getaway and booked this hotel as where we normally stay was fully booked. We were pleasantly surprised. Our room had a beautiful view of the ocean and private balcony. The large picture window was clean and crystal clear. The room was clean, bed was comfortable, nice big, deep jacuzzi tub although they ask you not use the jets after 10pm and we were woken up our 1st morning there by a neighbor using theirs at 6am. Even though they were fully booked that was the only noise that we heard from other rooms all weekend. I did like how in addition to the full bathroom there was a small sink/counter in a nook outside the bathroom where I could do my hair/make up while my husband was showering/using the bathroom. All in all this hotel is definitely on our list of preferred places to stay while in Fort Bragg. The other location we usually stay will probably be our preferred place to stay when our kids are with us (6y & 21mo. ) but for getaways like this weekend where it's just myself and my husband we'll probably come back to the Ocean View Lodge.

My husband and I went here last year to get away and see Fort Bragg and we looked at this place as our refuge. We loved it they were so nice and friendly the room was clean and comfortable the jacuzzi was huge and I mean big because I'm a plus size woman and I fit in it comfortably. The view was amazing it was so gorgeous to wake up to the ocean right outside our window.

Very disappointed. The view was the only good point. Pillows were terrible, bed not so great. Very dated and fixtures in very poor condition. The employee at the desk was lame. Otherwise clean but seriously need some upgrades and repairs. Not worth the $

It is the first time that I leave a review, but it is really worth it! Even though we asked for a room at the last minute, the team was very welcoming and friendly and went out of their way to make our stay a great one! Thanks again!

This hotel was ok, I picked it because of the fireplace and jacuzzi, they were ok, but not worth the extra money. The surf and sand and Beachcomber hotels looked nicer and seem to be cheaper. Ocean View just has an old feeling to the rooms.

The only place we'll stay in fort brag. We've tried several others, but after staying at Ocean view, we always stay here now. The rooms are always clean, they are very spacious, and the staff always helpful and kind. We love the views and the short walk out to the ocean. We have never been disappointed.

Quality, clean, and close to the sea. Left the balcony door open and listened to the waves crash as we comfortable relaxed in our spacious room with a BEAUTIFUL view through the large picture window of the Pacific ocean. And what a great value, we will be going back to this well kept hotel with friendly service.

Beautiful spacious rooms, full view of the ocean, Outstanding staff, the rooms are like little apartments and super nice and clean. It's the only place I will stay at from now on. It truly made the northern California coast trip the best we could have hoped for. Recommending this place is easy, there's no way anyone is going to be unhappy with it, just no way. The price is more than reasonable, everywhere else we looked didn't offer half as much as this place does and they were all a lot more money. Enjoy.

This was also our first time staying at this hotel, we were also pleased and ended up staying an extra day. The room was very clean, big and well taken care of and quiet. We had the king bed on the main level and the views were the best that we could ask for. I would stay here again.

My husband and I have stayed here twice now, and both times it has been wonderful. The room are very clean with all the accomidations. Both times we stayed it was off season, so the rates were great. And we loved having the fireplace and jacuzzi tub right in our room!. The ocean view and beach access is the best. We even watched whales from our balcony! We will diffently be staying here again and again.

It was our 6th Anniversary and I wanted something nice for my wife. We got the room with the spa and fire place. I thought it was over priced for what you get! The reason I say this, is because we have stayed alot of places for less money & they were just as nice some even nicer. The room had ants all over and all they did was spray for them. For those that have stayed here and had a good time, I'm glad for you, but the 3 days we stayed there it was the room from Hell. If we would have had a good time I would say so, but I'm tired of putting out good money for a bad room! Next time we will stay at the Bates Hotel.
