DO NOT COME HERE if you want to great service and a clean room. I booked a two night stay for a friends birthday and it was the most DISGUSTING place we’ve ever stayed. Upon arrival we were greeted with an infestation of about 50-100 ANTS AND 100s OF DEAD BUG WINGS IN OUR BATHROOM. When we contacted management he brought us ant spray to our door and immediately started to walk away! When I opened the door to confront him about the problem Martin asked if they were going to help us clean or refund us he just said “I don’t know what to tell you, ants are industrious” and left us to CLEAN UP THEIR MESS and without ANY MENTION OF A REFUND! I ordered a sparkling rose for $30 that was supposed to be in our room upon arrival but wasn’t. The internet didn’t work and needed to be rebooted by management. The hot tub and the light for the outside also didn’t work and needed to be fixed the next day. And the PRIVATE BEACH ACCESS!? It’s a 5-10 min walk down a busy road which took us almost 30 minutes to find because the “directions” they left were absolutely terrible. I could say more but overall our stay at the Inn at Schoolhouse Creek was a terrible experience we will never go back.

What a lovely little place. Hospitality was excellent. They were very thoughtful toward our dogs left him a little bed with blankets and dog bowls and treats. Highly recommended we'll be going back.

Friendly professional staff. Great place to relax. The food at their restaurant, Circa ‘62 is mind blowing. They love Love Love dogs so bring your pooch. We will be back.

Cute cottages that are really close to attractions like Mendocino State Park and Russian Gulch Park. Rooms are clean, environmentally friendly, beautiful, and the beds are comfortable!

This is a really nice spot for breakfast. Highly recommend making a stop for a delicious breakfast.

I stayed in the Whale Watcher room. The room was super clean! High ceilings with jacuzzi size tub. I slept like a baby there! Michelle who works at the front desk was very friendly. She even walked me to my room and showed me how to use the heater and other stuff. I highly recommend it!

The food is amazing, let's just get that out of the way. The prices and portions, however, are less than stellar. For $45, my fiancé got a tiny 3 or 4 oz piece of salmon and 4 slivers of fennel. His side dish of shishito peppers was fairly substantial, but the peppers themselves were tiny, in comparison to the size shishitos usually are. My dish of petrale sole was delicious as well, and I felt like my portion was more in line with the price, but it was still quite a lot for a few small pieces of fish. I understand the location demands higher prices, but sadly, the value for the money just isn't there. It was wonderful for a date night, but our visit will likely be our first and only.

Best nights sleep! We arrived to find a cheese plate & wine upon our arrival which was a sweet touch! The views and rooms were both amazing. The breakfast at their restaurant Circa ‘62 was divine. We will be back!

This place is so wonderful. So many little touches in the room and on the property. The room was beautiful and the bed, sheets, pillows — all soft and comfy I never wanted to leave. My daughter and I stayed there this weekend for my birthday and it was just fabulous! From the telescope to view the stars and ocean, to the chilled creamers and ground coffee, to the wine in our room. It was just awesome. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants a relaxing stay surrounded by the sea and coziness.

The property was beautiful with views of the ocean and breathtaking sunsets. I really enjoyed the uniqueness of my room, it appeared each room was distinct. I personally value that individualized level of consideration and hospitality. The restaurant on site, Circa '62, was unbelievable! Not only was the food delicious, they had multiple options available for vegans and those with gluten sensitivities.

What is an employee there they terminated me because my boyfriend was disabled and they couldn’t believe it. They overcharged me for a room for one night and will not return the money they’re not honest people they don’t pay overtime and two employees what’s not right.

Friendly staff, the cottage we choose was awesome! Very quiet, clean and secluded! Beautiful property and beautiful views! Will definitely return!

Had a lovely breakfast at the restaurant. They put out food for the local birds and chipmonks and it looks like a fairy tale outside. Unique menu, I had the sweet corn and bacon hash and it was excellent. A little spendy (black coffee was $4) but well worth the price.

Loving our anniversary getaway here! The personal warm touches from our innkeepers set this place apart. OH and our view of the ocean is picture-perfect… so cool that our room comes with a telescope.

Really quaint, cozy Inn. All the rooms are different. We opted for a room with a Jacuzzi tub. It was amazing. Breakfast was so good. Overall it was a lovely visit and my friends (it was a couples weekend) and I plan on returning in the summer.

Amazing little gem. My first time there, it was pretty empty due to time of year. Perfect. They upgraded us to a bigger cottage. Grounds are adorably cute with little rabbits, chipmunks and birds everywhere.
I'm a picky picky eater. I cook for a living. The breakfast was delicious, being my least favorite meal of any day I was amazed that every bite disappeared. We were joined all the little critters as they put out food for them also.
I noticed that non guests were dining also, good sign.

Went for breakfast on a Sunday at about 10am. Service was good. The space was a bit cramped, food fantastic, but was a bit uneasy about the fact they allow dogs in the restaurant area.

Great place to unwind. Bring your pet, they have special pet meals in the wonderful breakfast restaurante (Circa 62), and a staff that really appreciates your business.

The Inn at Schoolhouse Creek's welcoming staff and outstanding ocean views made my visit to Mendocino one to remember. The breakfast I had at their local restaurant Circa 62' was AMAZING and I can't wait to go back and experience it again! Thank you Kevin and Sandy for making my first time on the Mendicino coast so memorable.

Cute and very dog friendly. Amazing breakfast. Rooms are a bit older and a tad run down but very spacious. Friendly staff and great hot tub and sauna area.

The Inn of Schoolhouse Creek was a wonderful weekend getaway! We stayed in the Andersen Room which was clean, nice and had one of the most comfortable beds that I have ever slept in! Overall, it was a great experience and if we were in the area again, we would come back. A couple notes to the staff that would up their rating to me: the Wi-Fi said that it was not password protected but it was, the location on Google Maps was not accurate which was a confusing experience esp since the area around the inn has little to no cell phone reception, and lastly, we didn't love that our patio/balcony has visibility to our neighbors. It made it hard to have a little privacy to watch the sunset. I think maybe some roll-up wooden screens would make it a little more private for those who desire privacy.

Wife and I stayed here for our anniversary. Room/cabin was clean and isolated from others. Super quiet and pleasant. View was amazing. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was culinary level delicious and not too pricy. Would stay here again and highly recommend.

We stayed in the Sea Cloud cottage which is off site about 4 miles down hwy 1 in Albion. The cottage was perfect in every way! The view was unlike any other! I wouldn't stay anywhere else! The cottage itself is older but not in a bad way! It's kinda quirky. But we dealt with those few things very easily. If you must have a shower with a lot of water pressure your not going to find it here. It gets the job done though. The kitchen is fully stocked with every pot, pan, utensil, pretty much everything you need to make dinner or breakfast for two. The first night we went across the hwy to the flats cafe and got pizza to bring back to our room. It was awesome! We went to Silvers in Ft. Bragg for dinner it was horrible! A waste of time and money! We had a tandem massage at the inn itself which I'd highly recommend also! This is the perfect spot for a very romantic getaway with no cell service for miles so no one can bug ya.

Not as described on their website. We stayed two nights in the water tower cottage to celebrate our third wedding anniversary and while it was adequate-it was not at all what we expected. Online the pics of the view from the water tower fail to show you that you're feet from the parking and walkways. Also the hot tub is private in that there are walls around you but it was definitely not romantic since there are people literally just on the other side of the hot tub wall loading and unloading their cars. Our other complaint about the hot tub area is the sheer amount of cobwebs. Spider webs do not compel me to romance so I'm sure my husband is quite displeased with their presence. Another privacy issue is the bathroom. There is no exhaust fan and no A/C (which we did know up front) but after two showers the room becomes quite steamy. We opened the bathroom window to help only to literally hear people conversations word for word. All in all it is decent but we would not recommend for privacy or romance. We enjoyed the ocean view just not feeling like we couldn't be privately intimate.

This is not a B and B. It's a B and Voucher. My wife and I went to breakfast and there was no one to seat us so we sat down by the windows. Then a young fellow came out and told us to move to a smaller table inside. A couple did the same thing shortly after us. When they were asked to movie the owner came out and said it was ok, but they left anyway, I wish I had. The picture of the spa over looking the ocean is deseptive. I would not recommend the Schoolhouse Creek Inn.

They have a community hot tub (outdoor) and a sauna. You can get a great view of the ocean from the hot tub. How wonderful. We stayed at Whale Watch. It's a good size room with its own jacuzzi tub. The breakfast (included) includes homemade baked goods, juice, and coffee. You can also order hot American breakfast at extra charge. The staff is very friendly and can give recommendations for local restaurants, etc.

Really a lovely place. Friendly staff, hiking trails, hammock, mini-donkeys, hot tub, 24 hr coffee/tea/cocoa, beautiful view. Can't wait to go back.
