Stinson Beach Redwoods Haus Hotel

It was the perfect place to stay in Stinson. Its a nice B&B. The people who run and live there are awesome people. Room was nice and the food was great. It fits into Stinson very well.

We really enjoyed this place. A bit rustic but very cozy. A nice place to relax and it is a quick walk to the beach. The breakfast was okay but a variety from day to day would be nice.

Not what I expected. There's a bed. The breakfast part I had a problem with. No communication about when it was available and if it's served to you. Just an area downstairs with coffee and fruit, and I assume scrounge up your own breakfast. No AC, but ocean breeze was sufficient. Parking is a bit ackward.

May not be everyone's cup of tea, it's funky and a bit cluttered. Breakfast is good. The staff are great people and super helpful. The house and garden are relaxing. I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.

Nice place close to beach.

Right up there with the worst places I have stayed. Unclean. Outdated. Full of junk. It’s not kitsch. It’s vile. Bedspread felt unclean. Bed in our bedroom was advertised as a queen but was definitely only a double. Or it was the smallest queen bed I’ve been on. Wifi doesn’t work in the room. Our room was offered to some one else for the following night prior to checking that we were only staying one night. Owner tried to sell the couch in the room to the other group as an extra bed (good luck fitting on it if you’re older than 10). Stinson beach is generally overpriced and outdated. The area is in desperate need of some youth and competition. Avoid the area. But if you can’t, stay here as a last resort. It’s a room but not a nice one. If the only positive you can say for the place is that it has a good DVD/vhs collection, things are pretty dire.

If your looking for a conventional hotel this is not the place for you! The atmosphere is a mix of B&B / hostel, very welcoming and friendly owners, rooms and bathrooms were clean, I would stay there again.

Very UnAmerican establishment. Has horrible views on our country. People are rude and hateful. If you love your country I wouldn't support this place.

I havent stayed there or wouldnt after the call I made. I called to talk about possibly reserving a room. Well the guy was very rude on the phone, cussing when he answered. Asked about the room with a queen, day bed, and the futon, stating I wanted that one for 5 people. (myslef, wife, and 3 kids) He said no, that it sleeps 2 only. Makes no sense, guy is trying to rob people. So if I could rate 0 stars I would. Very rude guy!

Vile! Stinson Beach is lovely but there are no descent hotels. Perhaps Airbnb. The people here at the Redwood Haus are well meaning enough. The place clearly had its heyday in the 60's or 70's and has a cool, funky vibe, but looks like it hasn't been cleaned since then. The furnishings were old and dirty like Goodwill rejects. Strange smell. The bedding was disgusting. The room layout was cramped and awkward. I was afraid to use the shower. The outside area could be beautiful if it were cleaned up but there were tarps and junk everywhere. It was very overpriced as well. I would have left, but there was no place else.

Funky and eclectic! The rooms are rented out of the owners' home, so it feels a lot more like visiting a distant relative than staying in a hotel. The proprietors are friendly and happy to chat. We stayed in the Redwood room. The decor was somewhat outdated, but the price was unbeatable. I would probably opt to stay in the Crow's Nest next time. The best part about this place is the location. You can walk to the beach from the Inn within minutes. Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful!

Wonderful place and extremely nice hosts, reasonably priced. Stinson Beach is great — beach, art and food. Matt Davis trail within 2 blocks.

The only fair priced b&b in Marin. The owner is great people. She does not neglect the cleaning & all other items. Down home feel, redwood room& the top room are the best. Thanks to all at the b&b b for being kind& a family feel. Thank you much!
