This hotel is also amazing! I have stayed here before. The staff has always treated me with 5 star service. The shrimp cocktail is so yummy. The room service cannot be beat. The views the people just the best experience in San Pedro. If you have never stayed here. You are missing out on a true hidden gem in San Pedro. Book a room and P. S. The location is quite easy to find, went to a social event at LA waterfront which is roughly 2-3 minutes away. As you walk in immediately to the left is the front reception and straight ahead a spacious lobby and their in house diner. Great place overall.

The DoubleTree by Hilton is located at the southern end of the San Pedro peninsula, located in the center of the small boat harbor. Free parking and fresh air, as it's right on the harbor. Nice comfortable rooms with quiet AC … even with a remote! Enough plug-in power both bedside and at the desk. The breakfast is good, but basic, located right off the lobby! As a HHonors Diamond, I asked to have my child comp'd for breakfast. Be sure to ask for a voucher if they agree.

Had such a great experience the whole week we were on San Pedro. Such a great place to get away. We stay in the room with the marina view. The downstairs bar was great and the food hit the spot. They also do live music.

Let me just say this "great hard working people dedicated to make you feel like you matter". The staff are very nice and friendly. The room was clean I requested new towels the pool was heated at night… I will definantly come back.

No stores nearby, and breakfast wasn't included. But great View, and I enjoy my room. Wouldn't stay here again, because there is nothing close by.

The Curious Tale of No Bellhop We drove up to the hotel driveway to drop off our luggage and check in. My wife went inside to the front desk to check in and request a bellhop for our luggages. We had quite a few bags as there were four of us staying overnight to catch our cruise ship the next day. I unloaded the bags from the SUV awaiting some service to help us to the room. Not even a greeter or a door person could be found. My wife returns saying that she was told that there was no bellhop. I proceeded to borrow a luggage cart and bring all of our bags to our room upstairs. On the way back down, as I exited the elevator on the ground floor, what do I find? A bellhop helping another guest with their bags up to their room. Hotel looks nice, seems quite clean and well kept. Three stars since I find service needs improvement.

Had such a nice time on the patio. Happy hour was great. I definitely recommend Double tree San Pedro.

Was at the Double Tree Hotel for an event. Location was at the Marina of San Pedro, Ca. Parking was convenient, and fairly painless. The Hotel itself looks very clean and charming. The Ball Room was very nice and has a nice view of the sea via the Marina. The service was excellent and very prompt. Courteous Hotel staff made the entire experience very enjoyable. The food was good, and a little on the simple side but very adequate. I would come back again.

Great views of the harbor, love that they have bikes near the hotel which you can rent out, cruise and enjoy the ocean breeze, the staff was great and greeted my wife and I to some warm cookies nice gesture, also seen a bar area with a billiards table. Great for a weekend get away.

This is a pricey hotel, but comfortable and the location can't be beaten if you want to go for a walk near water. The walk around the marina and into the park toward the beach was lovely. We were able to watch the cruise ships come into port early in the morning. It is in the distance, but I could make out the ships without binoculars.

By far the worst service, even by a supervisor. Unfriendly staff, a personality would help. Witnessed how they treated an employee, so no surprise we were any different. The hotel is nice with some updated amenities. Not much surrounding the hotel but thus quiet in general. Good for business. I stay at a lot of Hilton chains, so I was not impressed here.

Great hotel with fantastic views of the Marina! The suite we stayed in was comfortable, clean, and well maintained with good internet access. The brunch was a standout as the food was excellent. I would recommend getting it added to the room cost as a package. The staff was nice and very helpful. Would definitely stay here again and recommend.

The rooms were clean and comfortable. The restaurant in the hotel was not that great. I would choose another place to eat next time. The "Park & Cruise" option was the reason we chose this hotel. We felt safe leaving our car there for 16 days. Very close to the World Cruise center. They do offer shuttles to the cruise Center but unfortunately they were already booked up for the times we needed so we had to Uber over. Our mistake was we needed to call ahead to make a reservation for the shuttle instead of waiting till you check in.

One of my favorite hotels. We are a family of four with 2 small children stayed in mid March. We chose this hotel because we have an early ferry to catch. The property was the best of all Double Tree hotels I ever stayed. (And I like all the Double Tree, though this one is the best of them all so far) Pro 1) the place was super clean, spotless 2) staffs were very nice and friendly 3) the hotel itself is very pretty, well decorated both interior and exterior 4) reasonable rates 5) the hotel feels very safe 6) comfortable beds 7) very quiet Con None ;p.

Ramon set up a Hollywood tour for our group of 20. We enjoyed the day visiting the Hollywood sign, Mel's diner, Rodeo drive and Venice Beach. It was a great start to our Panama Cruise.

The staff here make this hotel. Everyone and I mean everyone is always looking to please you and make your stay better. The location is on the marina and has a nice view. The morning breakfast has several choices for eggs and delicious. The air conditioning is a Fujitsu and its quiet and runs great no noise as with most hotels. Parking is free and they have to valet. I can't get over the staff all areas are just trained to engage you in a friendly manner. Only issue small is the uneven elevator its hard to roll bags over. Beds are comfortable and the room was clean. They have happy hour and it's not free but the burger and a beer was a good value. All in all very happy camper!

The hotel is kind of tucked away from the main part of town, so it feels very safe, calm, and quiet. Rooms were clean and nicely done. Pool area was also clean and well kept. Overall it was a nice place to stay for the area.

Location was beautiful. Hotel floors weren't too high up. Room was modern and clean. Hotel staff were very friendly and accommodating. We were even upgraded at no additional cost to a suite. I was very pleased with this property and will come back if I am ever in the San Pedro area again.

Our experience was excellent at this hotel. All of the hotel staff was extremely helpful and friendly. We had a room in the marina and I couldn't get enough of the view! We had the buffet for breakfast. It was pretty standard, but everything was quality. The fruit was excellent though. The room was nice, clean and up to date.

I loved to stay here. It's cozy and they truly have GREAT customer service. And they give you DELICIOUS chocolate chip cookies (at least when I went) hope they still have them. You can walk the port and it is nicely decorated. Oh and free Wi-Fi.

Always a Hilton fan! Great rooms and exceptional front desk! We were there over Thanksgiving. The wait staff was fairly pissy, probably because they had to work that day, definitely in appropriate and not customary for the Hilton. Rooms were clean comfortable, temperature was self controlled, bathrooms were great, facilities were good meeting your normal Hilton expectations.

Rating for meetings only, not lodging. Staff was helpful and available, even if a bit too self-assured about what customer needs would be without listening first. Everything needed was provided however, without hassle and promptly. Marina views and free parking made for pleasant experience. A bit out of the way but not hard to find. Didn't eat here except for signature cookies in lobby.

Beautiful location, spacious room (King suite) with very comfortable bed. Nice breakfast buffet selection in the morning including delicious house made granola. Close to Cabrillo beach, aquarium, and other interesting local points of interest easily reached by foot or by the multiple metro and Lime bikes you can rent. The hotel will also take you almost anywhere within a 5 mile radius. Would be very happy to return here.

We had a high school reunion there. I was not impressed with the service. We each got 1 cup of coffee and it was hard to get water refills. The food was pretty good, but only beef was offered, vegetarian or fish selections.

Service was good, although there was an issue with my reservation. I was booked for 5 rooms and the front desk guy took care of it immediately. I had my wedding at the Marina Yacht and stayed in the master suite that was beautiful and plenty of room for my bride team to get ready. There was one issue, ants, not a big deal. I spoke to the front desk about it and was offered a discounted rate for a future stay or a food voucher. It would have bern nice to receive a free night. But, other than that I was happy with my stay.

Stayed there for my brother's wedding. Nice clean rooms. Majority of the staff was super nice. Ran into 2 grumps at the restaurant/bar area when we were waiting for our rides but the oncoming afternoon front counter guy was so helpful and went above and beyond for the kids. Wish I had gotten his name. Pretty view of the docking area and all the boats.

We are locals and we love Happy Hour here at the hotel bar. The outdoor patio is tucked away and romantic with little twinkle lights and fire pits. They serve craft beer, bar food and great house wines. Full bar. Great views of the marina.

My husband and I live 10 mins from the hotel. We thought we'd have a date night, stay at doubletree, have dinner and watch fireworks. Well we love our room. The bed was so comfortable, we relaxed and watched a movie before going down to dinner. Before we went to hotel we stopped by my sons house and I told him where we were going and he tells me, its nice there the foods good but cross your fingers when u go to the restaurant that u get a good waiter. Well he was right. The service was terrible It wasn't that crowded. It took the waitress about 15 min to come over. We ordered our drinks another 10/15 mins go by no drinks. Then she does come and take our order. After 20/25 mins still no drinks, my husbands getting upset and wanted to just leave and go to 22nd st Landing. I told him I'll got to the bar and get the drinks and he says no just wait. Ok I get-up to say hello to a friend and here comes our food. Oh and I ordered calamari for a appetizer and it didn't come. The waitress is walking around and my husband asked for our drinks and she keeps going. So finally my husband go up to the bar where we noticed other people waiting for a while for their drinks too. He asked bartender if the waitress placed our order and he said no my husband said didn't she placed an order for a bloody Mary and a toasted Almond and then the bartender said yes she did but I didn't have the ingredients for the toasted Almond. So my husband tells him just make a white Russian and add some amaretto.

Nice clean Hotel. The views of the marina are very calming and pleasant. The morning Buffet is tasty and well-presented with very good service to the table for coffee refills. A pleasant stroll on the walkway by the marina is advised in the morning to start the day.

We were meeting our daughter in Long Beach / San Pedro for the weekend. She booked this hotel so we booked after she did. I had no idea that I would be so pleasantly surprised. Our room faced the Marina and the views were amazing. I would rate this hotel 5+ stars and highly recommend it. Nice pool, exercise room, public computer. Lots of free parking. Pets welcome (extra fee). Restaurant/room service pricy.

Great service from everyone. Restaurant staff were all very professional the food was great. Pool was open and swimable even in December. Location of hotel was very near the San Pedro activities. A very enjoyable experience.

We have stayed at many double tree locations and this location definitely holds the high standards of the double tree name. Clean, well kept rooms. Courteous and attentive staff. This is a great hotel to stay at with a great view is the Los Angeles harbor, and I would definitely stay here again.

It's a beautiful place for a short stay. It's quite obviously geared toward the cruise line guests (no continental breakfast, no fridge in room, high-priced, missing the usual things you'd expect to see at most hotels), so it's not somewhere I would pick for a week or more stay. Nice place, though.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Doubletree. We ate at the restaurant three times one being breakfast each time the food was outstanding. Everything was fresh. The hotel is very quite at night even know there is a bar. Our room was clean and quite at night. I always want a good night sleep when I stay at a hotel and I always get one at this hotel. A bonus when staying here is a great view of all the boats.

Had a good stay, the room was nice. Our room was on the bay with a balcony which was enjoyable. When we got to our room the fridge for my medication want there and the hypoallergenic bedding was not put in place of the down which my wife and I are allergic to. They took care of that quickly but once or room was assigned it should have been done according to other staff. It was quite and we had a nice night. We would definitely go there again. It was better than a the grand Hyatt in San Diego which we were at 2 weeks before this.

Hotel was great! Rooms were clean and spacious. The view was amazing and the drink prices were perfect :) The staff was friendly and meet all of our needs even going out of their way to make sure we got a single bed with a Marina view.

My work goes to the double tree often for off site meetings. The service is good. We get food in a timely fashion and the cookies are amazing. The Wi-Fi is good. It is nice to go outside for a break and see the marina.

Stayed here for 2 nights. Was taking my girlfriend to Universal for the first time. They were so kind and even called us the day we were going to arrive to make sure they knew what time we were coming in. We were leaving later cause to skip traffic. The room was perfect. Bed was super comfy. The breakfast in the morning was so cute. I thought this place was awesome. Definitely a great choice to be so close to the park. Everyone working there was super helpful and friendly. Thank you so much for all your kindness and comfort! We will stay again soon!

Our room was excellent and had a great view of the marina. We also loved that we could print off our plane tickets and other info in their business workstation.

I attended a wedding and stayed the night at the Doubletree San Pedro. The grounds are lovely; our room had a view overlooking the port of Los Angeles harbor. The accommodations were comfortable and clean. The little things about the service were great: a cookie at check in, a fantastic buffet breakfast included with our stay. No charge for parking like some of the neighboring hotels. The TV signal was in and out while the internet service was slow. All in all, I would happily stay here again.

Apparently some of these reviews are quite old. The hotel is currently undergoing a renovation, and all there is a bit of ongoing work in the lobby area, our guest room was renovated, clean and comfortable. Great harbor view from room overlooking the boats, nice patio area to have a welcome cocktail overlooking the marina. Staff was very nice and accommodating. Of course cookies are great. We would definitively stay again.

Nice building, BUT located in a scummy area. There are loiterers in the parking lot and no noticeable security presence. I felt VERY uncomfortable leaving my car in the lot. Specific example: I noticed 2 people hiding in the shadows in some trees just 30-feet from the lobby entrance. It was only 10pm. They kind of put their heads down and scattered when I walked outside. They weren't the only loiterers I saw, but that was the creepiest example. Also the surrounding town is trashy from what I saw. Tons of homeless people & griminess along Pacific Ave. I'm youngish and not the type that expects a country club atmosphere, but this area feels closer to a borderline ghetto with some people that are up to no good. Just the vibe this area spews out…

Friendly and helpful staff but room was in need of repair. Chipped doors, torn window treatment, ants and generally in need of updating. Not up to Hilton standards.

Only stayed for one night. However, room was clean and comfortable. Bed was comfortable, nice bathroom, decent decor. The service and the food were good. The overall feel of the hotel is warm, yet modern.

Very nice. Took us in last minute. Only complaint is they had a hold on my wifes cc after we payed cash.

The exterior was great, the room was clean, and the staff was great, especially Rene. The condition of the interior was old and in need of major renovation, definitely not up to my experiences at other do Doubletree hotels or Hilton properties. The carpets in the hallways were showing threads and bunched up. The bathroom needed a total renovation and the rooms were painted bright white with all the electrical plates being ivory gave the room an dirty appearance. The heat/cooling had to be turned on/off manually it would not operate in an auto and late on the lat night there was no hot water, the next morning I was able to get a warm shower. In looking at the room and the condition of the furniture I would have thought I was in a moderately priced motel, although the location and view of the marina were great.

We arrived on Friday evening and we were greeted by the front desk people with nice and warm cookies! From that moment on I was hooked! We dined on the outdoor patio and our waiter Gil was very warm and efficient with our orders. The food was delicious and we each sampled each others food because we wanted to know what to order next time. :) With little time left that evening we were able to enjoy the warm water pool and the nice and relaxing Jacuzzi! Throughout our movement in the hotel each and every time we were acknowledged by the friendly staff. Our evening there was provided by Jeff Eldon. He is the newest attraction to the hotel. His knowledge of the area is always a great thing for tourist looking for things to see and visiting. I highly recommend you ask for him by name Jeff Eldon you'll not go wrong! On Saturday we went on a 1/2 day fishing trip and returned to dine with our friendly and funny waiter Arturo. Jeez, the whole experience was SWEET! We mentioned to Jeff that we were looking for a beach and he said it's just across the lot. Later we took a walk across the lot and walked right onto the beach! I stood there with my partner Cassie Haakenson and decided this is the place we'll hold our marriage ceremony. Thank you Jeff Eldon and the staff at Double Tree. Double Tree by Hilton San Pedro is the place to be.

Inexpensive Hotel in a beautiful location. Quiet.

Stayed there on the 4th of July. The people at the front desk were very friendly and treated us like vip. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. Enjoyed the view of the marina. The dinning room however needs some major improvements. There was only 5 of us at one table and an older couple at another. Yet the service was horrible do to the waiter was too busy visiting people in the bar. The food was way overpriced. Fix the kitchen and I would give this hotel 5 stars.

Good scenery. Service was very nice as well. The hotel is quite cosy and friendly. The food is decent. The hotel is also right next to a Yacht Club. The hotel and furniture itself is a bit old, and should be updated soon. Overall, the good out weights the bad. The service is good enough to overcome most downsides of the hotel.
