Clean no-frills car park and the attention very good.

We had a pleasant stay at this motel over the memorial day weekend. The room we had was the "premium" room which came with the mini fridge, microwave, hair dryer and what I would consider upgraded fixtures and more than the basic satellite TV package. The a/c unit worked like a charm and there was never any issue with running out of hot water at any time. The room was always super clean and freshly stocked with new towels and bathroom amenities. The service was great. Any interaction with the staff was pleasant and quick. For those worried about security/safety, the motel is neatly built so there is only one entrance/exit. Spotlights light up the enclosed parking lot at night and the windows are all facing the parking lot. It may provide an additional sense of security to those worried about the location. I've read many reviews saying this is located in a bad part of town with "thugs" and drug dealers. I did not find that to be the case. Many people were walking on the streets and there were cars lined on both sides of the streets in the neighborhoods. I come from a smaller town and just assumed that was normal for the amount of people crammed into this gigantic city. I didn't find there to be any risk or safety concerns while we were out and about. The only issue we had was the stiffness of the bed and the size of the room being on the small side. This made it interesting when trying to get our toddler down for bed.

We were 3 days and one just did the cleaning.

It lacks a little more cleanliness especially the blankets.

My room was clean. I had a quiet night's sleep and I felt safe at this slightly off-street motel. It's hidden in the middle of an older residential part of town. I appreciated with small flower gardens on the property. If I'm in the area, I would have no problem staying there again. I wish there was a clock in the room, but this certainly wasn't a deal breaker.

I'm a first time visitor to The States and booked my first to nights at this place before hitting the road. It's a very nice place for my needs: a base from where I can drive around LA. Slept well the first night — the second is yet to come. Staff is very friendly and welcoming. My smokedetector started that 'I'm out of battery'-beeping yesterday, but the woman attending the office came to help immediately, and even though I had to assist a bit it was all good. So for what I needed in a motel these couple of nights, this is great. The only reason I'm not putting a fifth star to this review is that it is a bit unsettling to have a couple of wires hanging out of the ceiling where the smokedetector was and that the parking lot is a bit cramped. But maybe it's just because I'm not used to huge American cars.

The place was in a decent area and the room was very clean. The Indian lady was happy to see us but was curt when we asked for two beds even though there was only two people… she said "There's only 2 of you? Well then one bed is enough. " That comment alone was enough for me not to come back here. For one night though and the price, it wasn't bad.

Nothing but beautiful area, dirty and impractical reception, baths just as much. Nice room I would not go back.

Close to everything. Great location for Downtown L. A. Meetings. Nice people stay here, attracts a good crowd. Sweet flower gardens… green trees make it cozy. On my top 10 Good Motel Finds! Four stars = "I liked it" The neighborhood has seen better days and is improving. This motel is doing the same. New paint, cove molding, vanities, shower enclosures, mini fridges, mini microwaves and flooring spruce everything up. Not the greatest mattresses but the bedding is clean and fresh. The furnishings and lighting look like they were picked up used and don't necessarily fit in, kind of a hodge-podge of used items. A bit noisy at times (woke up by a person (s) doing 'night-time calisthenics'). Overall, they're making an effort to change for the better. I'd stay here again for the value and to support the neighborhood and know that "I liked it".

Staff was very rude when we arrived, the room is the size of a shoe box and the bed is like a rock. Not a place I would ever want to come back to!

The staff was very friendly and the room was clean and beds were comfortable. The issue I had was that there was no Wi-Fi and the heater in both my rooms was not working. I also heard other people complaining of the same thing. So the rooms were freezing. Other than that I would have given more stars, but that seems like a basic accomodation to me, especially in there "nicest suite" so they said… Also, front desk is not 24 hrs, They close at 10:30 so when I called to complain about the heat there was no answer. I wont be staying again.

Benny is the front desk guy and he's very unfriendly. A barely passable place for the price, there are other places in the surrounding areas that are cheaper and nicer. There were two tvs and two fridges in our room. Right at 11am they will knock your door down and get you out. If you choose to stay they might make you change rooms so be prepared for that…

Great nice clean can get what you got to get done the rooms are not bad.

The Hotel was very nice. It has a microwave and a small fridge in the room. The bed is large and very comfortable. There are several bus stops and the entrance to the Metro Red Line nearby. Advisable if you are looking for something economic and we are only interested in the hotel to rest.

Relatively cheap motel. Alright place to sleep but the TV will randomly turn itself off when you're watching it.

Excellent location, very clean, large room, with bathroom, refrigerator and if you need microwave, also a coffee maker to heat water, you keep your luggage when you arrive if it is not yet time to enter and if you have to deliver and leave you keep this Previous without additional costs. The little Spanish managers but the waitress did. Free Wifi.

Clean, stay for the location or free parking. Do not ask for 5 star standards for the price you pay here. Did I mention clean? It is clean, no doubts. And as another post mentions it is remodeled nicely for this price point.

Overall decent quality rooms, in a less quality area. Location was convenient if you plan on spending time in Koreatown area. Rooms where spacious and decent quality, though soap and shampoo/body wash where strangely loaded in dispensers rather than individually wrapped ammenities.

The people who run these are rude. Idk how they are so consistent. Room is clean but smells. Bathroom had another smell. Tolerable but not welcoming. No microwave or ice. Think smelly crash pad.

Love this place, every time I go to los Angeles I make sure I book this place. Great location. Has restaurant's near by which make this more convenient. Clean place. But most of all I actually feel safe.

I loved this motel the best one I've stayed at in Los Angeles very nice staff nice clean rooms. I want to give a big thanks to Rocky that works there he was very nice and welcoming I recommend this motel to anyone that wants a safe nice room to stay in if I ever need a room again I will be coming back here!

I was the previous night at the Hyde Park. This was excellent compared with the previous night. The quality is not at the five star level, but not the price either. Very clean and neat compared with the price. There are discussions about the area, but I did not find any facts which supports the claims. Recommended.

The price was high @ 95 plus a 30 deposit. The room was remodeled, big deal, it was extremely dirty. I have pictures to prove it. The small flat screen TV had to be programmed 2 hours later. The huge old TV was a dirt collector and why was it still in the room? The small frig wouldn't keep items cold and made loud noises. Bad place.

Called more than 5 times to check on my reservation when they finally picked up the guy was an ass hole hung up on me 2 times while I was still talking on top of that he still didnt help me with none of my questions I asked to speak to the manager and hung up on me again at this point im sitting in LA traffic pist af! I will get him in trouble when I show up to the motel.

Great place. Quiet atmosphere. No gated parking but the extra cameras and lighting outside helps with the security. Comfy bed and clean room plus the AC works great and an included mini fridge is always a plus for the queen room. With a 10 min drive to the beach would recommend.

Parking is difficult but the room is acceptable for the price you pay. Room is small with TV and l direct tv. No breakfast, or pools and such also front desk does close at 10:30 not 24 hrs as posted but if you call ahead of time they will wait. Overall good experience.

This is a cheap but overall good motel in LA. I spent just one night here but I didn’t have actual problems. I just felt a little unsafe looking at the neighborood, which seemed to me a little sketchy and dark. The room was pretty comfortable and clean, the receptionist was nice to us (even if it was night). I don't feel to get more than three stars because as I said I spent here just one night. But I could definitely suggest the place if you're looking for a cheap room to stay, maybe not for the long period.

The manager and staff are extremely attentive. They were overly accommodating. Very minor issue with the room and they fixed it right away. Bed comfy and room clean. Overall amazing value for the price. Would stay here again.

We arrived late at night and did not have trouble checking in. There wasn't a lot of parking on site. The room was clean. It was a smoking room and it definitely smelled like it. The king size bed was comfortable. Overall our stay was great for the price.

BEWARE to travelers not from this area. This is in the middle of the ghetto. Homeless people strewn across the sidewalk, gangsters slinging guns in open daylight. I am a young female traveler. I couldn't walk to to the grocery store to buy food without being followed and harassed. I had to call the police to escort me back to the hotel, where I asked to cancel the rest of my reservation. When I explained the situation the owner (an older indian man) yelled and screamed at me that no other person had experienced this and if I thought men were following me I must be egotistical. Absolutely disgusting response from a disgusting individual. For the safety of other travelers, please do not stay anywhere near this area of LA. The hotel itself was dirty and smelled of burning rubber that burned my lungs for days afterwards. Drilling outside 24/7. Never experience anything so tramatic in my life, and I travel a lot.

Motel manager have no respect didn't even bother to knock on the door just opened the door and peek in when my wife was semi naked getting dress, no apology just walk off.

Very intrusive management. Rooms very small and all amenities promised not excluded. Room did not have microwave as stated. Two day stay no fresh towels offered and rooms were supposed to be nonsmoking but they smelled of smoke and had car fresheners hanging to rid the smell.

It's very good for the money you pay. Not fancy but clean and good. If you want a cheap clean place to sleep while spending the rest of the day outside … then you will love this place!

Well… I heard something bad online. But my room is good. The wall the bathroom the carpet are all like the new. But I m still a little bit afraid because of visiting here alone. This area is like a car selling place and it's looks like not very safe. So if u wanna live here you d better stay in your room at night. Especially u r girl. And if u wanna take bus than take UBER here… the traffic might be difficult. well the only thing I m not very satisfy is the air conditioning makes noise suddenly sometimes and it will wake u up if u r not very brave.

Decent for the price, sketchy neighbourhood.

The air conditioner runs like a tractor, the noise from it in your own room or naxt door would make you crazy and it is very hard to fall asleep. Never come back.

Although it doesn't seem to be in the best neighborhood it's not far by car to most places of interest and it's clean and quiet.

Hotel very clean and not too expensive. Pretty good home and the ideal is placed 3 mile from the city centre of the. Approx 6 km. So drive in not even 10 minutes. The hotel is located in a mexican neighborhood not far from the downtown of los angeles. You are all nearby. Restaurant, laundry ect.

Double and triple check you DON'T leave anything behind the cleaning crew don't turn in items found to the property owners. Very disappointed and probably won't go back.

Its my favorite Motel in town. Point Blank Simple.

They went into our room after we told them not to and began making accusations in an attempt to make us pay for damages and a "cleaning fee". I took pictures of the two towels on the ground and will be filing a complaint with the better business bureau.

We stayed at The Travel Inn for two weeks and we absolutely LOVED it! The couple that run it are very nice and when we first got to LA it was 8am and we had been driving all night. We called the hotel and explained our situation and they were great, telling us to come on down and check in early. When we got there the wife gave us a bottle of water, quickly checked us in and gave us our key. The room was Spotless, had a good clean smell. There was a small fridge, Satellite TV, free Wi-Fi, a VERY comfy bed, a shower that had great water pressure and hot water and a toliet that actually flushed. There were not very many outlets, but there were enough. The area may seem scary to some. I read a lot of reviews before we picked this hotel, all said the hotel was great but the area was sketchy. Honestly, that was not our experience. We met many kind people. The donut shop up the road is fabulous, there is an AWESOME buger joint that the local PD seems to frequent (and the food is soooo good) There is a discount grocery market up the road that this very kind lady owns. The bus stops right in front of the hotel. We would most definitely stay here again.
