Certainly one of the hip-est hotels in the world — not only in the CA area. Just look at the pix. Nuff said. Kinda pricey for a person with my modest income (I don't blame the hotel, it's not their fault I have a champagne taste and a beer budget), but I still feel it deserves full 5 stars. Book in advance for slightly better prices.

So this got this rating after the manager refused to take our confirmation after we stayed 15 days and paid over $2000. I want to be clear all of the staff who worked their were very hospital to my whole family 15 days prior. Then we found our as Elite Choice members and AAA card members we were suppose to get a huge discount as soon as this was pointed out she refused to accept our booking. When we called Elite Choice they gave some lame excuse about franchise program. Well thats the end of you getting our hard earned money the staff were more apologetic then the management who will believe need customer service training! Find another hotel well your money and family will be treated with respect!

Clean & comfortable. Great place to stay & affordable when in LA area. Has gated parking.

This little place was perfect. Room was spacious. Was near a ton of places to eat. Staff was super courteous and helpful. Really good spot to stay.

Parking was convenient. The room was very nice and had plenty of room. Breakfast included a wide array of food and was extremely good.

Average budget hotel that had a few things that made it worth staying at: walkable safe neighborhood with nearby restaurants and markets, very competitive price, free underground parking secured at night, free hot breakfast (even with eggs and sausage, but microwaved), overall clean, and friendly staff. Noise leaks through the walls and door pretty easily, so bring earplugs to sleep if you're a light sleeper. Default room service is once every three days, but you can request it more frequently for free.

I was there briefly to pick up a friend but could see that the room was a decent size, clean, comfortable, with all the amenities functioning properly. The entry way is also a breakfast station and it was also immaculate. The location of this particular Comfort Inn is extremely well positioned: it's on Sunset and Benton Way, about 10 minutes from Dodger Stadium and also about 10 minutes (on surface streets, no freeway necessary) to the Music Center and Grand Park and Disney Hall and Sky View and the Downtown Library and Union Station. If you go the opposite way on Sunset, within 10-15 minutes (all surface streets again) of Hollywood, the Pantages, the Egyptian, and West Hollywood, and if you go south you'll be in Koreatown in no time and if you go north you're in Los Feliz, the Greek Theater, Griffith Park Observatory, Atwater Village, Glendale and the Americana. Needless to say, within these areas, some of the best concert & theater venues, restaurants, architecture, specialty shops, and opportunities for people watching anywhere in the world. If I was visiting LA, I'd definitely stay here and pay a reasonable rate for a clean bed and bath so I'd have more to spend on all the incredible things to do just 10-15 minutes in any direction from the hotel.

Good value for at this location. The wall of the room may be thin so that I could hear some noise.

Loved the underground parking, the rooms were clean and tidy and lots of fun things to do in the area.

The place is nice with all basic amenities and a good price. Wi-Fi, parking and breakfast come free and are reliable. The rooms were spacious and well heated / cooled. Location is good to head towards downtown as well as Hollywood. Overall, great place at a good price.

Better hope you don't have an issue if you stay here. Management will deny, make an excuse, come up with an alibi or blame you but will never accept responsibility and will NEVER try and make it right. Huge cracks around and under door, not the best neighborhood. Rooms are clean and nice but don't make up for the rest. Too much money for too much shade.

Can't beat its location in Silver Lake, on Sunset Blvd being minutes away from Hollywood. Included you also get a breakfast buffet and parking. Definitely recommend.

We had purchased parking and it was paid in our booking but we didn’t get a spot when we came back to our room in the night. Someone who didn’t had parking took our spot and management instead of fixing issue made us park outside! Room was noisy. Breakfast met our requirements (we’re not high demand people) and that earns 2 stars for a low quality stay in +$200 room!

It clean and its just right for a quick visit the area at night isnt the best but everything is well secured.

Comfy room, parking is a little awkward (but it is free! ) try the blueberry waffles for breakfast. They are the best option by far, but getting a table in the little dining area is not a given.

Worse hotel ever it doesn't look anything like the picture! There is trash all around the motel cause it's not a hotel at all. It's nasty as ever! the owner tried to take more money off of my card! when I tried to talk to him about it! he was not professional at all he was rude as hell evil talk to me likr trash! the door of our room looked like it was kicked in and the pool was nasty. People are sleeping all in the parking lot which it felt unsafe! these motel is terrible and just flat out fithy and dirty! the towels stink and the house keeping room was dirty! the sink was stopped up! I would give this motel a 0 star but it would not let me post unless I added a star! I will never ever stay here ever again! this motel is a lie the pictures are fake the motel does not look anything like the place! terrible place!

They keep the property in nice shape. It contributes to the look & feel of the community. It is fun to see all of the tourists enjoying Los Angeles/Sunset Blvd. No Shady characters or activities. Which is nice because I live up the street.

The hotel staff were courteous and helpful. The rooms were clean and generally well supplied. The location of the hotel was great for visiting our son who lives in downtown L. A. The breakfasts were very good and much appreciated by my family and I. One negative — the keys had to be reprogrammed every day, although we stayed at the hotel for 4 days straight. This was somewhat aggravating, especially when returning in the evening when the gate to the garage was closed and the keys wouldn't work. They need to fix this. I've never seen this practice in any of the many hotels in which I've stayed over many years.

The rooms are very comfortable Cleaning OK. Good breakfast Only note, although on some sites it is written that children do not pay if they sleep in the beds, the policy of the Hotel provides that you can not occupy a bed (even if King size) from more than two people (including small children). They offer you an additional payment bed. After a while ' discussion we were able to avoid it, maintaining the conditions of reservation.

The breakfast was really good with lots options. The rooms were nice and clean with a refrigerator and microwave. Good place to stay if going to Universal Studios. Only about 15 minute drive from the hotel.

My daughter arrived there last night with my two grandchildren for my grandaughter's cheer competition. She went through trip planner. They never contacted her to let her know her card had been declined. They claim to get no personal information regarding the people who book third party. Therefore, they did not contact her. I called and got a "sorry about that". They offered her a room for 240.00 instead of the rate she had originally planned. Howard Johnson 's made it right, not Comfort Inn.

I have stayed here multiple times. The latest renovations are a big plus. Staff is always friendly and my stay is always pleasant. The area is quiet. Rooms are a little small and the parking garage is pretty tight; not deal breakers, just points to mention.

Very enjoyable stay 10 whole days in 2013! Highly recommend it. :)

Standing American motel, nothing more.

Clean, good internet and a private parking area. People were really friendly and we enjoyed the stay. (The bedrooms toward the main street are a bit loud at night, especially in the morning when the litter service comes. )

This place is great, especially for someone who was looking for a room at the last minute like I was. The staff, EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM, is exceptionally nice and very hospitable! They printed out some stuff for me that I needed ASAP, without hesitation or attitude. Being that I called at the last minute on a holiday weekend, they only had 1 smoking room left. As a non-smoker, I was afraid of what condition this room would be in, both smell and stain wise. Surprisingly enough, it was a very nice room with absolutely no hints of cigarette smell whatsoever. Very clean and accommodating! Area was very central to everywhere I went to in L. A. And a great view of Sunset Blvd. I would definitely stay here again. Also, covered parking is a little tight and compact, but COVERED nonetheless, with a locked gate, which made me feel better about my vehicle and anything in it. Can't say enough nice things about the great staff, Samantha, Jeff and Stephanie!

Place was great. No complaints. Loved the bed and the view of sunset blvd. I was at los globos for the night and this was a perfect walking distance hotel. Book early though otherwise they r always full!

Well, located in the middle, decent breakfast, standard rooms, good change in the place, they speak English, lines 2 and 4 buses pass in the corner (no banking)
