Comfortable non-chain motel. Very reasonable price and a short drive from USC medical campus — handy if you are here for a patient. Varying amount of English spoken by desk staff. All very helpful. Rooms have been updated from photos online. They seem to serve multiple Chinese tour groups but found us an option. Very basic breakfast (1 type of cereal, 1 type of bread). Surprisingly quiet for location on a busy street. Shares parking lot with Chinese restaurant next door.

Wonderful place. The front desk staff is super nice and friendly. The rooms are recently renovated with updated decor. I stay in hotel/motels more the ¾ of the year and I have to say that this is one of the best places I've had the pleasure of staying at. It was the hospitality and friendliness of the front office staff that started my stay off on the right foot. I desperately needed check in early and he helped me with no problem. My stay was great. I will be back. Other hotels/motels should take notes. A smiling and friendly front desk staff makes a huge world of difference when greeting a new check-in.

Stayed here 2 yrs ago. Entire bathroom area flooded. Changed my room. Next room Grafitti on wall. First time in my life seeing grafillt in a hotel room. During checkout gave me 20$ off. Second time stayed here a couple months ago. Roach found dying on sink. 10 tiny ants crawling all over toilet area. Changed room. Came back late to find a fresh urine stain in the bed. The smell was so strong I couldn't sleep. Desk guy was greast tho he came and changed bedding in wee hours and said he'd give me a night free of my 3 day stay. Hair dryers only worked on low in both rooms. Upon checkout only for 40 off my 240 bill. Not happy. Will not return. Beware this place. A problem in all 4 rooms I stayed in.

Last minute stay. Room was very dirty the bathroom had hair all over the floor and as well as the bed. There were also ants on the floor and on the bed.

The worst hotel I have ever Slept in. Don’t let the pictures fool you the beds are not comfortable at all might as will have slept on the floor, for $90 at least get some decent beds that will make you feel at home. No Night lights, didn’t change the sheets the next day, and the riffraffs that stay there are something else! Run for the hills or pitch a tent…

20170602 The Ambassador Hotel (Ambassador Inn), Alhambra Valley Avenue (Valley BLVD), Los Angeles, was robbed and killed, and the female Chinese counter clerk was shot dead. 1d.

My mom 87, years old, handicapped and me, 59, we're tired and needed a room for the night. As we entered the office, very unprofessional, gave us a room. And keep asking, your mom's handicappwd?. Yes. Then, then took our 95 dollars, and gave us a room, with reservation. They came back to the room and said, sorry the rooms for someone else. Kicking us out in a nice way. They seem to favor whom they want there. Very bad service for a place to stay. We're still waiting for the refund. 3/17/2018

If u are looking for a nice clean room I think this is the place.

Nice rooms in a halfway decent area at pretty decent prices.

Friendly desk clerk well managed. The room was clean. Good value.

Great place. I've been staying at the ambassador inn off and on for years. Used to be a bad place as far as drugs and stuff, but the new remodel and owners let me tell you top notch. Hot waffle breakfast nice beds and room. Very clean pet friendly. I can't say enough how this place has changed. Worth the price of admission and let me tell you 85 bucks on a weekend is a steal. And public transportation to LA Pasadena and LA county very easy to get around. I hope this review helps and you at least give it a try.

Not great customer service at the front desk. The staff was pretty abrasive and rude, save one man who was setting up the breakfast.

My friends and I booked 3 rooms last minute and was able to get rooms. However, two of the rooms smelled like ciggerates. Also, one of the other rooms had moldy sheets and another had bugs on the wall. They have free breakfast and the hotel only cost 90 dollars a night but I would never come back.

Had a box spring with no mattress. All white sheets and comforters stained. TV had hardly any English channels. But it did have a nice shower.

Nice hotel with free breakfast. Its perfect if you plan on go8ng to the theme parks or around LA.

Bed bugs, lots of spiders, ants, only 11 boring channels. The walls are disgusting, nice size room, but tagging everywhere and no microwave. To top it off a police officer was investigating car vandalism and later on we witnesses domestic violence.

Beds are comfy and hospitable workers.

The location was super close to the freeway and there was ample parking (which is what lured me). I requested just a 1-bed room and was given my room key along with the Wi-Fi password. I get in and there's 2 beds, one soft and one hard, so I had options which was super cool. Standard amenities and the TV was a nice flat screen. Only down side was the TV did not work : (but overall I pleasant nights rest. Really great.

Very nice location off of the freeway (both 10 & the 710). Place is nice and clean, plus the room amenities were fully stocked. I asked for one bed and was given a 2 bed room with OPTIONS. One bed was soft and one was hard. The only down side was the TV didn't work.

Dirty hotel… I discovered a roach trap under the sink and still killed 2 myself. There was graffiti on the inside of the main door. People hang around outside late at night which did not make me feel safe! They're refrigerator didn't work. I purchased a 12pk of beer and left it overnight, next day I came from work and my beers were hot. Beer drinkers u know beer taste changes once it's burned… I took the receipt to front desk asking for a reimbursement or at least a discount and the Asian man at front desk refused. Was totally rude and just said "Look I don't give discount, beer is not perishable. You stay or you go?! " Worse customer service ever. Definitely will not return here and I DO NOT RECOMMEND this place to anyone. Especially if you have kids like myself.

Don't pay attention to other comments. This Hotel is one of the cleanest most sanitary environments in the state… The Ambassador Inn is a great place to rest your head after a long days work or the best for vacationing… * here is one more star as they deserve six.

Worst experience ever! Was very discusted with the smell of stale tobacco and mole inside room. As I was walking back to the office I Seen people smoking cristal-meth, at this point I wanted a refund. Employee claims he couldn't give me a refund and wanted to give me another room, told employee I rather not stay there due to people smoking drugs. Instead of arguing with the gentleman I just decided to leave and take a loss for $75 Next time I'm going to the embassy suites.

Economic, acceptable service in general.

It's for temporary needs or just people that come here to improvise a night.
