Great customer service at the front desk. In particular, James was able to make some great recommendations for my upcoming travel through the Sierra Nevada area. Room was well kept and exceptional for the low price I payed. Although the room lacked shampoo and soap, the front desk was quick to accommodate me.

Staying at the motel was great. The front desk staff was friendly and willing to answer any questions we had. The rooms were excellent for the cheap price of the motel. Room service was also outstanding. Motel 6 has a high standards that can be compared to more expensive hotels. Definitely would recommend to anyone staying in Davis.

This was a great stay for us. The front desk was very helpful and kind. We’re noticing more and more how much that is a lost art. The room was clean and exactly what we needed for the 2 days we were visiting UC Davis. It’s easy to get to from the highway and very close to everything you might need right away. Totally worth the money.

Although the staff member on desk duty was friendly and very helpful, and although we asked for a quiet room and received a corner room, we still had difficulty sleeping because of loud neighbors, uncomfortable bedding, and thin walls — — the worst sleep that my wife and I have had in a hotel/motel in many years. The room was clean, but the bed was a little hard with poor quality starchy sheets and bedding. The shower was an odd configuration with little room/space for maneuvering — — and poor quality, over-bleached towels. The people staying there were given full license to party outside their rooms, listening to loud music, drinking "40s", smoking pot/cigarettes, and talking/laughing loudly off and on until 3:30 am. We had a miserable experience and will not stay there again, even for the reasonable price per night. I only gave an average rating because of the professionalism and friendliness of the desk staff. What Motel 6 Davis needs, though, is either higher security or regular policing from local authorities — — and a no tolerance policy for partying publicly in the parking lot and hallways of the Motel 6.

The room was neat and clean every day. The location was quiet. The staff was friendly. All in all, a good stay. I think the person who was cleaning my room was Kat. I really appreciated her work.

The main room was clean and fine. But the bathroom was not cleaned. Hair, that didn’t belong to me or my family was all over the floor and “clean” towels. A bottle cap from previous people was left on the floor. Disgusting! Now I’m waiting to see if I get a refund like they promised. I will NEVER EVER stay at a motel 6 again. I wouldn’t give a star if it would let me.

It was clean and quiet. I expected to get no sleep because there were people coming and going out of every room when I got there at midnight. Seemed to be a party hotel. But inside the room was quiet and clean. No shampoo though.

I love the service and the room always very clean.

We have stayed here a couple times, clean and good upkeep. The included breakfast is always nice. Minimal but it’s great for the price of the stay.

This is always a clean, well-run place to stay. The people are great. The only problem this time was air conditioning that only put out heat, no cooling (reported to desk). Also part of the bathroom floor covering has separated from the floor (not a hazard and not reported to desk)

The front desk employee was smiling and very welcoming. Much needed after a 4 and 1/2 hr drive. My check in (with online reservation) was speedy and room was nice and clean. Microwave and mini fridge worked great. I plan to book another room at this location next month. Very conveniently located with gas station across the street, Starbucks across from station, and Cindy's restaurant and Taco Bell in same parking lot.

For a Motel 6 room it was pretty clean. The bed was a little hard. The price was a little high in my opinion for a Motel 6 room. All the staff were very nice.

Overall, it was a great experience. Yet, the outlet did not work in the bathroom & I was unable to use my electric razor. Also, I would recommend to replace your sinks whenever you can. Most Motel 6's have new sinks. Davis Motel 6's sinks are old & the black paint is chipping off & going all over the floor.

Great front desk… made it easy and faster than usually check-in counter take… same day reservations not a problem. Great overall experience.

Wonderful staff! Clean Room! Everything else was less than one star! No water pressure, shivering during shower in a weird shower where you face the wall! Bed was flat and uncomfortable the bed spread was so thin I couldn't tell the difference between it and the sheet. $4.99 or $2.99 for Wi-Fi on an unprotected network a ripoff, and pillows so flat I needed about 6 instead of 2 and the bedspread smelled. But the uncomfortableness of the chair and the bed I could never feel comfortable at all! Thank God the heater worked good! And the sounds of something heavy being dropped in the middle of the night and again early in the morning… Horrible way to spend $200 I should get my money back!

Good motel, neat and clean rooms, friendly staff. The location is a bit off the center of town but close to the highway entrance. Recommended for those looking for accommodation in Davis, good price.

Customer service: Excellent. Lady at the front desk was kind and took care of our reservation quickly. Gave us the parking pass to park in their lot. Room: Clean. Bug free. Fluffy comfortable pillows. Refrigerator worked and was clean. Heater worked well during the night to keep the room warm. Noise: Didn't notice any road noise. Very few occupants at the motel, so room noise wasn't a problem.

Over rated. Too noisy. Cheap stay and cheap sleep. Those walls require more isolation, cold night. Heater is not powerful enough.
Booking by a third party website advertise free Wi-Fi internet and it is not. You also can see the advertisement on the highway.
Bathroom requires more cleaning efforts. No fan or air extractor. Room phone was not working properly, it is hard to communicate with the front desk.
Service is rude and not welcoming.
The good thing is the restaurant close by.

From Leslie (The Front Desk Person) to the clean room, this was one nice place. Only ONE issue? Low Water Pressure. Felt like a camping shower but adequate. 5 Stars if more pressure. Also, TV remote didn't work well and it would have been nice to have a breakfast restaurant next to us, but oh well.

Great service, great people, great rooms. A worker there by the name of emir spent hours helping me find some car keys that we're lost. The whole management went out of thier way for our problem. Best motel 6 and customer service experience of my life.

I stayed at the Motel 6 in Davis because it was convenient to the UC vet hospital where my dog was a patient. I was very glad to find local accommodation at such an affordable rate. The room was basic but met all my needs, and I appreciated the free coffee in the lobby in the morning. The room was quiet in spite of being on the side of the building closest to the freeway. Climate control worked well.

The room was clean and comfortable. For $58 the best option is the price-quality ratio!

Front desk clerks were friendly and competent, particularly compared to other Motel 6 locations that I have visited. Cleanliness of the room was slightly above average, however, the floor was definitely in need of mopping. The most glaring issue was noise: my room faced away from the freeway, but the single pane windows did little to deaden the noise. I was woken several times by local traffic noise and guests coming-and-going.

The heater worked really well and I like the option of having a mini fridge and microwave put in the room. They are very pet friendly.

This motel uses central air conditioning and heating in the room. Because the complex had the system set on a/c, day and night, we were unable to get the room at a comfortable (warm enough) temperature at night. In addition, the bed had no blanket on it, just a thin sheet and a thin bedspread, so the room was way too cold all night. Another problem is all the rooms on the outdoor hallway were non-smoking rooms, but there were smokers in both adjacent rooms on either side and the people were smoking and talking loudly outside in front of our door and window, all day and all night, and the smell and noise kept us up all night. The room faces the rear parking lot and there were six or seven diesel work trucks all starting there vehicles starting around 4:30 AM, and then the garbage trucks came around five AM. The room also faces the freeway so there was freeway noise at night. I have stayed in quite a few Motel 6's, almost exclusively, in the past, but never had this many problems before. There should at least be no smoking allowed outside no smoking rooms, or no smoking signs in the areas in front of non-smoking rooms.

This Motel 6 was a good price. It was clean, quiet, and comfortable beds. The only thing I wish is they would have given us at least 2 of every thing, but they gave us 2 towels, 1 hand towel and 1 washcloth. My daughter and I stayed there after a long day of moving her out of an apartment. We didn't get to shower until after midnight and when we went to dry our hair, there was no blow dryer in the room. I've never been in a hotel room that didn't have a blow dryer! I called the office to ask if they had one and for more towels and he told me to come down and pick them up. And that was nearly 1am. If all of that would have been in the room, I wouldn't have to walk to the office after my shower. Disappointing. Also, they did not supply shampoo or conditioner. Fortunately, I had my own. If I would've brought my own dryer like I always do, I would not be writing this complaint. All in all, this is a decent place to stay and I would recommend it. Just make sure you check out the room first to get everything you need.

Our room was very clean and simple. The outdoor space was clean and very well lit for safety. I really liked the location and it was easy to park near our room. My only complaint would be our room smelled like smoke, especially marijuana. Every time we left and came back we could smell it.

The staff were very friendly, helpful, and professional. I had a lot of luggage when I got there, so the person helping me booked me a handicapped room on the first floor so I didn't have to climb the stairs. The bed was comfortable and the room was colorful and had a desk, lamp, and TV. Some other rooms had fridges and microwaves, but they were taken by the time I got there. The bathroom floor was a little dirty, but I think that's hard to prevent because it was tiled. The room did not smell like smoke at all. Check-out was at noon — — it was really nice to sleep in. The front desk staff even let me store my stuff behind the desk for a couple hours after noon. The location was good: close to a Starbucks, a grocery store, a Subway, and a gas station, and not super noisy. There was some kind of bug borrowing into the wall of my room — — I found 2. There were also possibly bedbugs in the bed (I had a few bites in the morning, but not sure what kind of bug they were from). However, when I reported it to the front desk, the woman who helped me said that she would close that room to future guests, and report it to her boss immediately. She also said that someone would strip down the room and look with a black light or blue light or something. She said that they had been having complaints about bedbugs but that so far the professional who had investigated hadn't found any. Other than those things, I had a pleasant time.

I stayed two nights at this location. The staff was friendly and helpful and the room was quiet. I didn't hear any noise from the neighbors on either side. The insulation is better here compared to other locations where I've stayed. Davis is a very pretty town, even the motel has an admirable amount of green — trees, plantings and grass. I will stay here again the next time I am in town.

I am especially fond of the Motel 6 in Davis. The rooms are very clean, cheerful and quiet. The staff is excellent: helpful and friendly. There is a nice pool and the grounds are well kept. The Motel 6 is located near good restaurants and a grocery store, and there is easy access to downtown Davis and other areas. Room prices are a real bargain for the fine accomodations.

I like Motel 6 for a clean room for a good night sleep. I love that they now have laminate flooring. Great, accommodating staff and clean room. Near the freeway but our room was quiet. Quiet clean part of town. I went for my morning walk and safe and comfortable. Comfortable bed. Slept great. They are doing some renovations so be aware if booking soon.

This place has slid downhill due to hostile front desk staff. Glares when I checked in, and again when I went to buy the Wi-Fi. When I extended my stay, they made fun of me for not responding fast enough to a question, and when I told them I didn't appreciate their comment, (not loud, no insults, just letting them know I didnt appreciate it). They asked me to leave the motel, and they put me on a list for other motel 6s in Sacramento. Place is ok if you don't mind a little abuse, or go to a different motel 6.

We've stayed at numerous Motel 6s throughout CA and this was the smallest one we've stayed at. There were two full size beds squeezed in a room and the windows are smaller square shaped instead of the bigger rectangle shape. The sink counter was small and in the bathroom instead outside of it, and there was no bath tub just a sower.

Not terrible, but certainly you get what you pay for here. No frills. I kind of expected minor things like shampoo, maybe a plastic bag for dirty clothes or something, but none of that was available.

I have stayed at several Motel 6 locations and find them to be very similar. They are clean and relatively inexpensive, but they all have three problems, one minor problem, one middling, and one major: Minor: The light switch for the bed lamps is high up on the wall so one cannot reach it without getting out of bed. Middling: They use the world's worst soap. It leaves the hands greasy, and I have to spend several minutes wasting hot water scrubbing the soap off my hands. That means I have to bring my own soap if I want to take a shower, as it would be impossible to get that grease off my whole body. Major: The toilets have no lid. a) I don't like having to look into an open toilet bowl when I a get out of a shower or am brushing my teeth. b) With that open bowl, I am always worried I will drop something into it. c) Experimental studies have shown that one should close the toilet lid before flushing because the flushing process throws aerosols of the toilet contents into the air — which then land on all the bathroom surfaces, including your toothbrush. I have discovered these problems are not confined to a single Motel 6 location, and for the middling and major reasons, I am unlikely to use Motel 6 again. Otherwise, they would be great. ========= Revision to review: I ended up staying in the same Motel 6 two days later because the other nearby motel had sold out its inexpensive rooms. I was in a different room, and this room had a lid on the toilet!

They have good prices, allow pets with no additional fees, and are very friendly. It is nothing fancy, but very comfortable. The staff is also very friendly and helpful.

Great Motel 6… I stayed her for quite some time due to working in the area. The whole staff is very friendly and will provide anything you need to make your stay more comfy. Cindy "mgr" is a blessing. Ive stayed in plenty of motel 6's for work and never has any pf them compared to this location. QUIET, CLEAN, AND FRIENDLY… thx for making my stay amazing.

When we want a first class experience next to the Davis campus, we stay in town for twice the price. Otherwise, for streamlined accommodations and value, this is the place. Excellent market, eateries, cheap gas, all close by. Easy walk even. Staff helpful and friendly. Coffee in the morning barely tea strength, but enough to get you to better stuff. Gas station by McDonalds is reasonable and has free coffee that is better. When you call the number you get someone in Ohio that doesn't know much. The girl at the desk said you have to press 3 to get to them locally. The national doesn't tell you that.

Very clean. Great front desk staff. It's the updated look without a carpet which is so much more sanitary. Only wish they had 3 pillows instead of 2 on the king bed.

Just stayed there during Memorial Day Weekend. They were very packed as there were several events going on locally. I went to go check out U. C. Davis as my son is planning on transferring there. This locations was conveniently located, with dining and gas conveniently located. Rooms and grounds were so well maintained. The staff here were amazing! Leticia in the front office who checked us in was so sweet and helpful. All of the staff there were so pleasant and always asking if they could help us. My dogs were well received there, and they truly seem happy to have the pets there. They were not looked at as an added job for them to deal with! I would highly recommend this Motel 6, and will definitely be staying here again.

Our room was clean and comfortable, a great value, and really convenient for visiting our daughter at UC Davis. Freeway access was easy and there was a perfectly nice restaurant for breakfast next door. We didn't notice highway noise. There was a cigarette smell just when the air conditioning turned on, but we opened the window and the smell cleared quickly. The whole place looks like it's had a recent update — fresh paint, clean inside and out. For the price, can't beat this place.

We were there to take a cat to UC Davis. Sign in to our room was quick and easy. Room was on first floor as we had requested, we wanted a single queen smoking room and got twin queen. Even though a smoking room did not smell like it was. Others have complained about noise from freeway, heard none just a few on the street which is to expected. Lots of places to eat very close by, some within walking distance. Easy access to freeway. I would recommend this motel to any one.
