Review of Front Street Inn 2*

Remember, the ownership of this Inn has changed recently and old reviews (particularly for Front Inn staff) may not be precised anymore. Location: Front Street Inn is conveniently located along side of coast highway 101. However it also brings with the price. Noisy from traffic and some people walk around street at night (can be reviewed as unsafe). Rooms: smaller size and slightly out-updated. So I could say it is slightly below average but not too bad with the price I paid (about $57 including tax). Cleanness: Not that clean for average two star rating hotels but good clean condition for average hotels in that area. Bedding and bathroom seem to be clean: however floor does look old and contains a bit of odor (being old). Parking lot: Front Street Inn provides enough private parking spaces without charge (well almost all hotels in Crescent City does not charge parking). Staff: They are very friendly and they own this place. Recently took over the ownership and try to make it better for guests who stay in their facility. I found the welcoming experience from them (asking for local places they like, you will get good tips) Breakfast: They do not provide any kind of breakfast meals. Only in-house coffee will be available (not sure how old though) Cable and Wi-Fi: Wi-fi is spotty when I used. So I am not sure it is good or not by trying one night, but they do provide free Wi-Fi though. Cable TV is basic but this is expected. Their TVs are updated to thin LCD TVs which is rare in many Inns, motels, and hotels in two star rating. Will I come back? probably since they are really friendly and price is good.
