We LOVED our stay at Little Inn by the Bay! We would definitely recommend and stay here again! The staff was amazing!

Lovely place its worth it, wonderful staff, clean room, good parking lot, close to the docks, the beach and restaurants…

Air conditioner did not work, bath soap disposer didn’t work so I used the shampoo disposer to shower, etc. Nowhere to hang towels or clothes in bathroom. We stayed 3 years ago and we had to change rooms due to plumbing issues… returned anyway because I like the small cozy feeling of a boutique motel. Disappointed because I had already taken a shower and was in bed when we discovered the air conditioning problem! The young man at the desk was nice and our money was refunded. Off we went to a nice hotel across from the airport. Can’t wait to fly home.

Clean, nice, great amenities, nice lication, reasonable price, and nice staff.

Denied me a room because of my fully licensed service dog, these towel heads gotta go.

Best place to stay in Newport. Reasonable rates, a block from the beach and pier, right next to Cassidy's bar and grill.

Lots and Lots of noise — not really this places fault but it’s definitely there, very clean and a nice if you can put up with the noise (which I did) it’s like a mini hotel pretty cool.

Horrible place to stay! Where do I began, first when my wife and I checked in the room the person at the front desk told us our room number, but no directions on how to get to the room so we ended up walking around the whole building with our luggage. Once we got to the room my wife decided that she wanted to take a shower and realized that the large bath towels had holes in them, then we later discovered mold on the baseboards in the bathroom. After checking out we were charged the $100 deposit for the room and when my wife called to inquire why we were charged she was told that the comforter had black stains on it which in my recollection was probably just sand from the beach that could have been wash off. In my opinion this hotel is probably going out of business see that they having had a decent review since 2010 and the way they look for any reason to over charge their costumers. I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy, you'd be better off staying at Motel 6 or Super 8.

The rooms are clean, great central location to walk to everything you may need during your stay. The inn is near the road but the traffic and noise was not an issue. The staff is very friendly. This Little Inn is a single gem right in the middle of of a box full of gems.

To start: the walls are paper thin. You can hear the other tenants ENTIRE conversations VERY CLEARLY Wi-Fi: They say that Wi-Fi is complimentary. We did not have any Wi-Fi for the entire time (5days). We were told to use a public “NETGEAR” network that belonged to an unknown local business or home… they did not have functioning internet and when we talked to management they were very rude and unprofessional saying “what the f*** do you want us to do about it”… “Beach Towels”: See my attached pictures for the beach towels that they give their guests. (If picture is unable to be uploaded: They are just ripped and stained bath towels with “BEACH” in Sharpie on one corner) Bikes: The only good thing about this place is complimentary bikes. That’s genuinely the only good thing about this place. However, make sure to bring your own bike lock, because they only have a couple and you probably will not get one. Do NOT stay here. This is the worst experience I’ve ever had while on a vacation.

This is our second visit. First visit had great room. Well appointed. However, Disappointed in this room compared to our first visit. Avoid room Small, small, small bathroom. Poor lighting. Not pleasant. This place is very nicely located. Easy to get to beach.

It is very rare where you stay in a hotel and everything is more than expected including the staff and accomodations and amenities and that is what you get when you stay at LIttle Inn By the Bay. Thank you! Decided to stay overnight for the annual boat parade and little did we know we didn't even need to go to the restaurant for dinner and viewing because you can see the parade right from the rooftop where guests had their own dinner set out on a table! That's what we'll do next year. Can't wait!

Lovely inn, in walking distance of the beach, pier, and some fun bars and restaurants. There's a small parking lot just for guests. The staff has been very helpful both times we've stayed here. We will be returning!

The lack of towel bars and glasses provided in the rooms is at best an inconvenience. Significant road noise.

Great little hotel with nice amenities including bikes and beach gear. It is centrally located on the peninsula and you can walk to many shops and restaurants.

This is a cute hotel conveniently located near everything. Room was nice and very clean. A little noisy with alll the traffic. I would stay here again.

Super cute little spot! Comfy bed, good linens, clean, soaking bathtub, walking distance to the beach, reataraunts, and close to the Catalina flyer!

Good and simple place to stay. Quiet and clean. Use of the bikes is a nice amenitie. It's a 5min walk to Newport Beach pier with great restaurants.

This hotel doesn't look like it's been updated since it was built other than the normal additions that they had to put in the room. Like a flat screen TV and a new coffee pot and stuff like that. It was about two hundred and fifty bucks for the night but it was also the only place in town if we wanted to be on the beach. This place is probably a little on the cheaper side compared to the other rooms are in the area. And as long as you want to hang out right by the beach, it's perfect. Just not exactly my style for the price.

This place is a dump with unfriendly staff. We had the power go out while we were there. Oh and did anyone of the staff care… nope. I had to find out from the orange county power company when the power would be back on. The power was out over 24 hours and my wife and I witnessed numerous guests leaving. Being we were only there a couple of days we didn't want to change hotels. I will never recommend this place to anyone. Stay somewhere else if you are going to Newport beach!

This place is good as an affordable base close to the action of Newport Beach. However it's on a couple of busy roads so not the quietest plus $100 security deposit tells you it's probably a party place. A few blocks from beach so don't expect much of a view.

This hotel is lovely and I wish I would say I want to stay again. My husband and I were staying here we went to bed around 10:30 and woke up at 7:00 in the morning. When we met up with our friends at their beach house for breakfast they informed us that they were in our room last night while we were asleep! They were by our hotel around 1am and needed to use the bathroom and came knocking on our door. When we didn't answer the hotel receptionist came to our room and said are you staying here our friend lied and said yes and the guy said okay well what's the name on the room of course they know this information and once they gave our name he opened the door for them. We were sound asleep and never approved for our friends to be let into our room. After talking to the manger GITA over the phone she told me it was my mistake for letting our friends know where we were staying and that if we didn't want them in our room we should have not told them this information. GITA is a horrible manger and has no respect for guest privacy! She said her employee did nothing wrong with allowing people into our room and it was our mistake. Do not stay at this hotel because you are taking the risk that some unidentify person will be in your room in the middle of the night! What if this people were trying to rob us and the hotel just let them right in. Don't stay here! The hotel does not have respect for guest privacy at all!

It was fine, taking someone to prepare for a wedding. They seemed happy.

We enjoyed our overnight stay in the "Laguna Beach" room. The decor looked nice and there was a tiled bathroom area with a standing shower and jacuzzi that is open to the sleeping quarters. While we didnt use it, the TV in our room was crooked because of a loose mount. We enjoyed the complementary bike rental and took a ride along the beach. It took us about 20 minutes to get to Baoboa Pier. We had some trouble finding the location at night and finding a parking spot in the lot. We also noticed quite a few ants in the bedroom/bathroom. Overall it was a good stay just two blocks from the ocean.

Cozy little inn. Location was great for us. We walked around the area to different bars and restaurants.

Loved this little hotel! We booked one night originally, but didn't have firm plans for what to do the next day. After we got to our room I went down to the front desk to book it for the next night as well. The room was one of the ones with a California king and a jacuzzi, but no balcony. The bed was incredibly comfy and the room had a microwave. The location was fabulous, very close to the beach, tons of stuff to do, and many restaurants. The only downside I can come up with is no continental breakfast, but there's a great little donut place across the street.

Great location, clean ans cozy. There are many places to eat around the corner, liquor store right next door. I would recommend!

Stayed at the hotel during Spring Break in March 2015 for 1 night and the customer service was exceptional and hotel room was nice and clean and roomy, as the perk that was really nice was that they had cruiser bikes were complimentary to use while you stay at the hotel and I thought that was a plus, because I only needed to bring my son's bicycle but my wife and I could use the hotels bikes, which really made it ideal. Would definitely stay at the hotel in the future.

My best friend and I took my two sons (ages 8 and 6) down to Newport Beach for this last weekend for a quick weekend getaway to meet up with other friends. We originally had a reservation at the Fairmont hotel but found this hotel that had good ratings and decent prices (although $40/night more than Fairmont) and closer to the beach so we canceled Fairmont and I took the cost hit thinking it would be a better choice location-wise… boy was I wrong! We arrived late (almost 10:00 p. M. ), but were pleased with the cleanliness and updated room (although extremely small) room. My friend used the restroom and it immediately clogged. We called the front desk and they said they would bring a plunger for US to fix it even though it was clogged BEFORE we got there. So my friend tried and tried to unclog it but nothing worked. We called the front desk again and asked to switch rooms or have someone fix it. They stated that they couldn't get a hold of maintenance. We were then told that they have another room available but we could only stay in it one night and would have to move back to our room the next night because another guest REQUESTED the other room. My best friend who has worked in the hospitality industry for years in high class hotels understands the laws and what is and isn't true and knew we were totally being jerked around.
