Great little place to relax and enjoy the pool when you don't want to make the short walk to the beach.
The trolly stop right out front made it easy to go to any restaurant or shop.
You can get a great view when you go up on the second floor deck and can enjoy your free breakfast and coffee there.
There is a CVS, Gleason's, sushi, Mexican restaurant and a yoga place within a 2 minute walk.
If you don't feel like walking 2 minutes to get a bite to eat the lodge does have a drink and snack vending machine.
Overall, it's a great place to stay and I would recommend it to friends. The interior of the room is quite dated (1990's comes to mind) but still very comfortable.

Location is close to beach, however plan on walking up and down MANY stairs to finally make it to the beach. It is probably a 1/2 mile walk both ways up and down stairs and across the very busy Pacific coast hwy. Our room was a double bed and severely outdated. The TV is the old picture tube type which made a constant buzzing while on and half of the cable channels wouldn’t work or would flicker in and out. The outlet it was plugged into was not screwed to the wall and it was pulling out of the wall revealing the live outlet and wires — not good. There is unnecessary furniture in the tiny rooms that just take up space and appear to be placed for photo op reasons. This chair had to be moved out of the way constantly. Our toilet would barely flush and the bathroom is more like a closet with a pedestal sink and shower/tub crammed inside. The beds are lumpy and you can feel the actual springs in the mattresses. Now the good — staff is very friendly, beach is close if you don’t mind the hike down, trolley stops out front, pricing is less than most, parking is no problem, heated pool, a/c worked great. Would I stay here again? Probably not as my wife booked this before I read reviews. I feel there is probably better options for the money. I’m not high falootin, but this place is obviously making a killing on tourists at the barest of all standards needed to be called a motel/hotel. I mean come on, picture tube TV’s still in the rooms in this day and age? Come on.

Friendly and upbeat front desk. Charming pool side and sweet landscaping. Location awesome and adjacent to the luxurious Montage and Treasure Island Beach and Park, Easy trolley access to Pageant Of The Masters and town. Easy access to great food and Gelson’s, Hiking trails close by too, We will be back!

The hotel is good a nice for its value. We’ve stayed for only two nights and everything was perfect. The rooms are nice, but the bathroom is just ok. Breakfast is good. Staff is super friendly, they were holding a package for me. Its has parking on site and you don't need to pay it. Location is good if you don't want to be close to the main 'tourist' zone. There's a plaza with a nice supermarket and two very nice restaurants. Also the beaches across the street are awesome; Wasmos, Treasure Island and Aliso Beach.

Beautiful location with great amenities like a free breakfast, pool, fridge in room and free parking. Everyone so friendly and helpful from the front desk to house keeping. Short walk to beautiful beaches and stunning blue water. I'd recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a good value for your money in a great location in Cali. The free trolley going to the shops and restaurants is an awesome touch! I'd definitely be back!

Really a cute place … Refrigerator needs work in room we stayed if. Super happy and sweet staff! Some rooms appear to have been updated. Sunset pictures were taken on walking path to the beach just across the street.

Loved this place! The ladies at the Front desk were so nice and funny! Gave us ideas on where to eat and were so nice! Nice clean room with a cute little kitchen with a sink, stove, fridge and microwave! Right across from the most beautiful resort with beautiful beach access! And next to a shopping area with a great market. Free Trolley on weekends that go to the downtown area with many stops in between, Didn't use the pool, but it looked nice with great music and lights. Nice simple breakfast to help start the day. Great price and great value!

Beautiful view of ocean from rooms! Amazing rates for the location! Right on PCH, grocery store and dining right next door and better yet the Laguna beach lodge is directly across from beautiful world famous **montage resort**, just walk on over with direct beach access, picnic tables, beautiful lush tropical walking path with ocean views.

Heated pool. Rooms were clean and nice. Right across from the most beautiful beaches I've ever been to.

Monica, Lori and Dano (i think that's his name? They were so helpful and friendly such a cute little lodge with all the amenities close by the beach is gorgeous! I will for sure come and stay again :-)

With public parking plentiful, several easily accessible beach access points and restaurants and shops to meet whatever your looking for — the locals made visiting their beautiful city and beaches easy and enjoyable.

This is a great small Beach Hotel with some INCREDIBLE VIEWS of the Pacific and the sunsets are impressive. The hotel is clean and the service is good overall 3.75 out of 4

My husband and I stayed here for just one night while on the way to Twenty Nine Palms. We were pleasantly surprised by our spacious room with the king-sized bed. If you're visiting the city, the lodge is perfect. There aren't a whole lot of good choices of shopping around the area but we found Gelson's and CVS nearby, It was enough! Thanks, Lorri.

I've been coming here every summer to meet with family. The quality and prices have had ups and downs. Currently the price is up and the rooms are so so. The tables and chairs that were around the pool have been decreasing down to 2 tables with 4 chairs between them. Instead lightweight plastic lounge chairs. Breakfast is sad. We love the location.

We stayed here for a week while on vacation. The 5 stars is because how close to the beach it is. 5 min walk. Nice view. Clean pool. Room needs updated but was big enough for our family of 6. Front desk was nice. Breakfast was ok… generic items like muffins, cereal, oatmeal. Good price for location for sure!

Laurie checked us in and made sure we were all very well cared for. Had 5 rooms booked in total. Location is top notch with access to what I consider one of the most perfect beaches Treasure Island. All hotel staff were very attentive and I love the fact that they provide beach chairs that you carry like back backs, beach umbrellas, towels etc free of charge. The hotel has a laid back feel and is great for families or even couples. Trolly stops are located directly in front of property. Pharmacy and restaurants are located a few steps away from the hotel. The pool was warm and well kept. Great value.

We have stayed in more hotels than we can count and this is It is adorable with the blue and white decor. The pool is wonderful. We have been in cool weather and were very grateful it was heated. The walk across the street to the beach is so beautiful. Sunset is spectacular. We went to the beach on a Sunday morning in July, and had the beach to ourselves. The drive down Pacific Coast to the shopping and restaurants is a perfect thing to do during the day. I can not say enough wonderful things about this place.

I was really impressed with this place. It's in a GREAT location, right next to the beach. The staff are friendly and the breakfast was pretty good. On top of all that, the price isn't outrageous. I paid $274 for 2 weekend nights. All in all I would recommend this place to anyone else wanting to hang out in LB for a weekend.

The reason why I decided to stay here was because it's location, it's right opposite the Montage resort, it is located right of PCH. It is half way between, Laguna Beach going North and Dana Point going South. The property is well kept the staff was help ful friendly and accommodating. The rooms are spacious and well maintained, the bathroom was clean with a shower. Also had a microwave and a refrigerator. The pool was nice and clean and there is an area closer to the front where one can sit and enjoy conversation with friends under a patio. I would recommend it in view of the amenities offered for the price charged in the Laguna Beach area.

Swell place. Just what you would expect at the price point. The staff was very friendly the rooms were clean enough.

We were unable to stay the days we'd anticipated, as the Travelodge was booked, but Laurie at the front desk went above and beyond to make sure we were aware of our options.

They were most welcoming, people here including the guests were most kind! From the beginning we felt like this was going to be the most relaxing little beach vacation. Thank you Laurie, our screaming little baby was not screaming for long :)

Room could be better. But it's a great location. I guess you actually paying for location.

Night manager was very rude to my kids (18 yrs of age). There was a little noise, which was settled. He chose to call the police and they kicked my kids out of the room. No refund! The room was paid for. No one else in family could keep the room. They were not destroying the property, I was not given a refund, and he DID NOT NOTIFY ME before he called the cops. My kids are very good kids and we were HORRIFIED that he called the cops on them! This should have NEVER happened! Why weren't the parents notified before he called the cops? The walls are so paper thin, that you could hear a roach crawl on the wall! The kids were not punching holes in the walls or destroying the place. They were not drinking, there was a little argument, but nothing to call the police. The night manager has a problem with people of color! Why weren't the parents notified? He should have contacted us first before he called the cops! How rude of him! He also made people leave the balcony when they were very quiet, and did not trash the property it was at night, and everyone was on their best behavior.

Great location. Right across the street from the beach. The hotel is old, but it has all you need for an affordable hotel stay. Microwave, single cup coffee maker, couch had a pull out bed, Wi-Fi, cable, mini fridge, blow dryer, iron and board, pool, continental breakfast. It's not the nicest hotel, but room service came daily to change linens, and made sure we had plenty of towels and bath supplies. I would stay here again.

It is very well located, cross street from the beach and from the famous Montage. Walking distant to restaurants, grocery store, and drugstore. The bus stop is in front of the place, so you can ride a bus to go everywhere, including Long Beach! The rooms are good and clean. The place is not new but still in perfect shape. If you are planning to stay only to sleep, and enjoy the surroundings during the day, this is the perfect place with the perfect price.

This place is a home away from home. It was very clean. The bed was comfy. There was a fridge and microwave that worked well. The shower is a stand up one and small (only one average sized person can fit in there, although, my boyfriend and I fit in there. Not comfortable though). The outside area is nicely covered with lots of trees, shrubs, and flowers. There is vending machines also. The free breakfast has; assorted fruits (oranges, apples, and bananas), cereal and cereal in boxes, pre packaged bagels, pre packaged apple pastries, cream cheese and assorted jellies, whole milk and 2% milk, apple and orange juice (not fresh and not very good either), tea, and coffee. The beach is about a 6 min walk. There are really nice pathways around the tops of the cliffs also. The downtown Laguna area is about a 25 min ~ walk, much easier to get to with a car. Also the sidewalk cuts in and out and it is very narrow in areas. I was here around christmas time and I had no issues with keeping the room nice and warm. The shower and sinks have hot water instantly. The shower stays hot (even during the peek shower times). I loved staying here and will be returning if I come back. Thank you Travelodge.

I really enjoyed my stay here! It was cozy and spacious. It had a large comfortable bed, fridge and microwave. It was super affordable and right across from the beach! Stay here, its wonderful.
