I called in making sure I still had my room reserved and some girl at the front desk told me that the room would be held for the night. When I came in late that night, I was checked in by Silvia. She was quick and professional and seemed like she new the property very well. I had a lot of questions since I was visiting from out of town and she pretty much had all the answers. Her customer service was better than that of some of the resorts I have stayed at in my past. Thank You for everything and everyone on property was also great!

Pretty standard motel 6 experience. The price was a bit steep ($95) due to a last-minute check in. This is one of the renovated motel 6s, so you do get the nice wooden floors and stuff, but like the other motel 6s you don't get any toiletries or amenities. We did find a small cockroach in the room as well.

There were bugs everywhere told front desk they said sorry no more rooms so I ask for my refund the person at the the front desk said sorry we don't give refunds. So I sleep in my car. Thank you motel 6. So I'm going to try a different motel 6 and see if it's better.

I have been staying at Motel 6 for over 30 years and I think it is the best value for your money. I like the fact I can park right outside my room and the rooms are always fresh and clean. I would have given it 5 stars but the maid forgot to put pillowcases on the pillows and only left one towel one day. I have never had that happen before so I knew it was a one time occurrence.

Very nice, modest room. It was clean and comfortable. Staff was kind and considerate. Although the hotel is very near the 405 Freeway, we heard no freeway noise in our room. Would definitely stay here again.

The reception at the desk was excellent. Quick, efficient, and friendly. The room was spotless, clean and fresh. The only problem was I was awaken by police action in the parking lot at about 2 a. M. I understand that the motel can´t control everything, but, it was a little disturbing.

It’s been quite some time since I’ve stayed at Motel 6 in Costa Mesa. Eddie Navarro, the new General Manager, provided me with ‘exceptional’ guest service. As soon as I walked into the lobby, I received a warm greeting when I met him. He made certain my room was clean and special requests, such as extra towels, were in my room when I checked in. The entire staff was friendly and professional. You can be sure that you’ll have a great guest experience.

This Motel 6 has the BEST Customer Service! Pets are allowed here which is a rare find in any hotel/motel without hefty charges. I had to stay here for an extended period of time due to tough circumstances. The Manager who works at this Motel 6 is professional, kind, caring, shows compassion. He will go out of his way to help. His name is Eddie Navarro. He always serves you with a GREAT BIG SMILE and does not hesitate to find out your needs and jumps in to help! The best Motel 6 in Orange County Ca! I was down from Arizona visiting my daughter and I usually stay at The Ramada, they were all booked so I ended staying at your Costa Mesa location. I must say the young lady Slyiva was so warm and helped me with my check in. Kristina helped me with anything I needed during my stay. Your prices were amazing for seniors and it was very peaceful and relaxing. Eddie was just wonderful always engaging with the customers and trying to meet there needs. I won't ever be going back to the Ramada that's for sure! Thank Eddie and Staff S.

I am a senior citizen that travels with my dog and I love it here. The manager here Eddie is wonderful. The rooms here are beautiful and clean. You would never know they allowed pets here. I have stayed at almost all the MOTEL 6 locations here in Orange county CA and The Costa Mesa location has the absolute best customer service. The general Manager Eddie runs this location very efficiently and is superior in his customer service. At the same time is understanding that sometimes LIFE happens. Kristina and Sylvia keep the hotel running smoothly especially at check-out time and always try to appease the many different people that check in to this location whether for a brief or long stay. Night staff like Jose, Chris and Victoria keep the hotel guests and there belongings safe with there decision-making. Superb customer service. The rooms are very up to date and clean. The maids do an amazing job of making sure your needs are met when it comes to clean towels to extra pillows. There are plenty of stores around to walk-too and the famous CANE'S is right next store. Honestly one of the best motels where the staff make you feel at home and try to make Life just a little easier. Thank you Eddie Carresa/Kale Willis.

I travel a lot and stay at motel 6 mostly because they are dog friendly. I have been staying at this location for about a week, and I must say they are very accommodating. The general manager is hands on, and handles even the smallest thing like making sure maid service comes when requested. The staff is very friendly and professional. I will always choose this location when I am in Costa Mesa, CA.

Front desk attendant pleasant. The nonsmoking room which had a no smoking sticker on the door smelled like smoke, had a burn in the bed spread, and had an ashtray that had a sticker that said for your keys. There were people loitering in the parking lot. Dog excrement all over the grassy areas. It felt more like a residential motel. The mattress was too soft and springy.

I enjoy staying at Motel 6. I take 2 dogs along when I travel and Motel 6 welcomes them at no extra charge. The rooms are always clean and comfortable. Locations are easy to get to right off the freeway, with easy access to the freeway onramp after your stay. There is usually a Denny's or other popular eating place nearby.

Clean room. Able to have dogs which is a plus. Room smelled like cigarettes and shower is not good for anyone over 5 foot. But clean and quiet.

The floor underneath the bed looked like it hasn't been swept in over a week (dusty, food crumbs, etc. ), there was what looked like blood splatter on the ceiling, sink would fill up then drain slowly and the small shelf unit next to the sink was dusty and to think it had "CLEAN" towels in it. I have experience in housekeeping and I know that is completely unacceptable. I know I would do better than that.

I've stayed at this location a number of times since my work has me in the area on a weekly basis. If you dont mind a stoned hotel clerk, customer's drinking in the parking lot, cars in and out at all hours of the night and the facility being an overall dump then this is the place for you. Im glad I found a better motel in the area.

The room was lovely and updated. I loved the hard floors and the room was great, especially for the price. I would definitely go back and stay here again. The location is within walking distance of the Observatory, and there are plenty of food places and gas stations within walking distance. The staff was friendly and quick to check us in. The only downside was that it was quite loud within the room so we heard everything from neighbors, to cars driving by, to late guests coming in. Not a big deal, just something to note.

Just picked up a friend that had stayed there for a night and decided NOT to extend his stay. I could clearly see why. The place was not well kept it all staff was not friendly or accommodating but rather the exact opposite totally unwilling to resolve a matter involving switching the name on the room after I the original renter left out of dissatisfaction with the quality of the room and lack of hospitality from staff. The guy at the front desk actually told my friend that check out time was check out was an hour earlier than it ACTUALLY was. If that wasn't bad enough, when all was said and done, he found they had over charged him for his stay. In my opinion the place leaves much to be desired if you can get a better deal somewhere else even if you can't still stay somewhere else cuz this place is not worth it!

Very friendly staff. Kristina and Linda were very helpful with assisting my husband in setting up his Wi-Fi. The maids were very courteous as well. We had a very nice stay.

I’ve spent many weeks at your location in Costa Mesa, and I must say I am never disappointed. From your courteous staff, to the housekeepers that do a fantastic job, to every person I encounter working for Motel6, I am always pleasantly surprised by their sheer desire to make me happy. I could stay at ‘more premium motels/hotel’, but why would I? The Marriotts, Hilton’s, have nothing on Motel6. So why not save money and frustration, by staying where I know I will be placed in a clean room, greeted with a smile and save money! All a plus plus!

Good place very clean but if I found a cockroach, everything else very well.

What can you say: it's a clean room. It was small, should really have only 1 queen, not 2. The mattress is not going to win any awards. And, the hot water worked, the linens were clean, and the price was right. I will be booking this hotel on my next stay in Orange County.

The room was very clean and neat. There was a TV. The air conditioning worked. The staff was courteous. However, the CarMax dealership next door apparently thinks it is all right to use the loudspeaker at 5:30 a. M. To run would-be shoppers off its lot. And the street noise was a little excessive. All in all, what is within the control of the motel staff was really good.

The room was actually the nicest of any of the Motel 6's I've ever stayed in. The only issues I had were the lack of refrigerator and microwave in the room, and the additional charge for Wifi. If it weren't for those problems, I'd happily stay there again! Oh, and the T. V. Remote died on the last day, but batteries die. That was not a huge problem. We reported it to the front desk so they could replace the batteries before the next guest was admitted :-)

The location of this hotel was excellent. Close to shopping and the beach. The challenge is that the rooms do not smell clean, my first 'non-smoking' room smelled like smoke. My second room smelled somewhat better. The bathtub area was in poor condition, tub peeling the attempt at refinishing it. It was an inexpensive choice for my stay in Costa Mesa however it didn't have to be in this condition.

The front desk girl was very efficient and multi tasked while we did our room reservation. She answered the phone during the processing of my reservation. I was impressed to be honest. Didn't miss a beat and got me handled very quickly.

I will never stay here again had I known that ghetto people who are up to no good and smoke weed are around this hotel. My husband and I had our 2 babies with us and the room was already paid and booked for so we had no choice. They placed us over by the pool area at first where people were smoking weed and I complained and asked to be moved so they moved us. A lot of people that are homeless or look bad are around the area so I would not recommend you stay at this location. Do yourself a favor and pay more money to stay at a better hotel. Also… of all the times that I would forget to take shampoo & conditioner, I asked for some because the room had none and was told that they didnt provide any for guests. The room also didn't have no iron, no blow dryer no mini fridge… not even a box of tissue. This place is a joke! Do not waste your money here.

We stayed at the Motel 6 on Gisler. It was Very quite and Very clean. One of the nicer motels I have stayed in. Front Desk however was rude and was did not give a good first impression. Even after trying to male small talk with her she stayed with a robotic attitude and never once smiled. The Air conditioning did not function the best though the room was cool, it didn't get cold and the air flow was non existant. Overall Nice Motel, Not Nice people.

Not at all satisfied. The room itself was ok. Housekeeping couldn't speak English, so getting towels was extremely difficult. We spent each night worried what was going on outside. There were people outside smoking weed right outside our room. (I know what weed is, so yes, I know that's what it was) Had a bunch of trash at our door, called the front desk to see if they could remove it, I certainly wasn't going to. I had no idea what was in there! It took 3 calls and several hours to get it picked up. There was tons of cars that kept pulling up and meeting with guests, then leaving. There was no rest and relaxation for us. We were scared about the activity going on outside our room. We weren't expecting treatment like we would get at a 5 star motel, but at least the treatment of a 1 star place!

Where should I start — we arrived pretty late due to a road closure stuck on the freeway from Vegas and checked in around midnight. The check in was quick and nothing special — the first room was unacceptable — there was a strong smell of old cold smoke in the room as there has been someone smoking cigars in there before. The floor was dirty and sticky. The bed was cluttered with dirt spots and hairs — the bedspread had burn holes. I immediately complained and asked for another — we got a new room on the ground floor instead which was usually for handicapped persons — this room smelled a lot better, but was also dirty with similar condition of the bed (except the burn holes) — I didn't complained again because it was already 1:00 h am and we're really tired that I only wanted to sleep and get some rest — unfortunately I didn't sleep very well in this bed — overall both rooms gave us the impression that they were not cleaned and made up properly. I have red a lot of negative reviews about Motel 6 but the good reviews on this location (which I absolutely cant understand) made me book it — better spend 20 bucks more for a clean and comfy room. I will definitely not book again!

We had an easy time checking in although it was 1 am. The woman at the front was very nice. We drank the water from the sink in the bathroom because we didn't have water with us and we got extremely sick the next morning. Soap only, no shampoo or conditioner which I was displeased with but the room seemed clean so it was an okay experience for a 1 night needed stay on a budget.

I want to be short and sweet with this review. I've stayed in quite a few hotels/motels and the price is typically around the same all throughout Costa Mesa. With that said I expect to receive the same benefits for my money or else I feel as if I spent too much. In this case with my recent stay at this particular motel 6 on Gisler ave, I definitely paid too much. Everything I score below is in reference to this location only.

Motel was in a great location. Everything you could possibly need right around the corner. Nice neighborhood as well. A wonderful easy and quick drive to the beach. The only problem I had was the shower head in the room was so low that I has to bend down on my knees to rinse my hair. And I would have liked the option to add a fridge and microwave, at least a fridge. However, it is not enough to keep me away. The benefits clearly outweighed the cons.

Had stayed at this motel for 3 weeks before I suddenly ended up in the hospital so ended up not being able to stay my final night. Offered to move my stuff out of the room prior to leaving for the hospital as I was not sure if I was going to be admitted. Upon hospital admission had my family notify the motel I was in the hospital they refused to refund the night and told them my stuff would be removed from the room the next day and held for 30 days. When I went to pickup my stuff once I got out of the hospital I was informed I had been put on the do not rent list for supposed complaints from staff/other guests which WERE NEVER discussed with me despite them having a staff member claiming to of informed me which never happened. Truly disgusted at the way the staff treated me, especially since they had rooms constantly slamming doors 3 nights in a row. Security is incompetent and unable to properly do its job. Only a few front desk staff even do their job. I'll miss talking to Leticia and yesenia as they truly knew customer service. I would like the owner of this property to contact me to resolve this mess as they truly need to get rid of a few bad employees.

Where do I start… first of all I'll start by saying I paid over $1, 000 for 13 nights and it definitely was not worth it at all. One night I was using the restroom and ran out of toilet paper so I grabbed the new unopened roll that was on the back of the toilet. While opening the roll of toilet paper I felt something on my hand but thought I was tripping, I then felt it again but it was more intense I look down and there were at least 4 baby cockroach on my hand. I F#%@! #! Freaked out threw the roll, when the roll of toilet paper hit the ground I promise you no bull there had to of been at least 50 roaches crawling out of the roll. I'm not gonna lie I screamed like a little girl my wife came running in confused. As she looked down by the roll of toilet paper she could not believe what she saw and started freaking out. Haha it was the most traumatic thing that had ever happened to me especially in my most venerable time! After all this the only thing they had to say was do you wanna change rooms? What The?!?!? Are you serious? I definitely would not recommend this hotel. They also have a security guard that smokes so much bud an is so high everytime you leave your room to get ice he will stop you an ask what room you are in. You can talk to him wait ten minutes then go back out an he will stop and ask you what room your in again.

I have always enjoyed Motel 6. They are consistent in their value and comfort. I would very much recomend this particular Motel 6 to anyone. Thanks Motel 6 for a wonderful night.

Rooms are clean and affordable. It's so nice that your pets can stay here at no charge. The only issue I've had is the room service. Some days they just don't show up?

Horrid, first nite there were hookers. Two nights later the staff could not provide me a key that worked. Two tries and a maintenance man no one could get it to work the manager refused to give me a different room so I went across the street to Vagabond the place is much quieter I think nicer and they actually serve food in the morning.

The front staff were inept. I asked them to chargey CREDIT CARD. Not debit. The guy behind the desk did not know what he was doing. He said it was declined. What an idiot. After several times ill called my credit card company. They said I was in good standing. Learn to run a cc dude.

The rooms was very clean and brightly colored. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable and the location was right next to the freeway. I was an extremely satisfied customer.

Had a good time there but the Wi-Fi they offer for sale should be free. Because we upgraded to pay for the faster of the two packages offered and it was probably the worst because there Wi-Fi antenna didn't extend far enough to be used effectively and had to wait long periods of time to download. Also I detected blood drops in one of the towel cubby holes when I was retrieving a towel for a shower. And by the way your total length should be longer because I felt like I was wearing a towel from Jr high.

I will highly recommend this motel to my friends and family. I love that they are pet friendly. The location is great, nearby many fast food restaurants, gas stations, pharmacies, and many other stores for your convenience. *** The room was very clean, and the staffs very friendly.

Very clean, centrally located accommodations. Newly renovated rooms with clean flooring, new, upgraded bathrooms. Flat screen TV and Internet for 2.99 a night was adequate and without any problems. A refrigerator would have been nice but not necessary given the price of the room.

I dont understand why anyone would rate this less then a 5 star. The staff is great and helpful. They go out of the way to accomodate you. The rooms I have stayed in are ALWAYS spotless. I mean you get exactly what is advertised and pay for. Its not like you are promised 5 star luxary spa like services. Its bare bones for little money or having sex without your spouse.

My overall experience was satisfactory. The room is small but the bed was comfortable, room was clean, there are no amenities available in your room outside of a cup of coffee, no big deal. My complaint derives from the sign out in front that says Wi-Fi which means internet service. Once you check into the Motel 6 in Costa Mesa, for the meager price of $2.99 you can purchase your Wi-Fi. On the first night I stayed at the Costa Mesa Motel 6 I tried to use the Wi-Fi but it worked intermittently, not conducive to getting any work done. So for the next five days I asked every day for the $2.99 Wi-Fi to be waived, which I got. They knew it didn’t work well “as they said” but they were going to fix it eventually. The General Manager/Manger waived my fee on the second to last day with protest, writing my room number down next a dozen other rooms who received the same special attention, free Wi-Fi. I did run into a few problems with the staff, Cristina the front desk woman told me that she used the Wi-Fi to get her homework done on occasion, but it didn’t allow her to upload her homework, nevertheless she still paid the $2.99. On a separate occasion after complaining about the intermittent service she suggested that I should go to another hotel if I wasn’t satisfied. So after that, I was told the next morning that the hotel was sold out for that day. I was told to check back between 2:00-6:00 as there could possibly be cancellations.

A breath of fresh air after our downtown San Diego Experience. Nice folks, all was in order.

The room was fairly clean but small. The price you pay its not really worth it. It was missing a microwave, fridge, iron and blow dryer. To top it off there were only two small soaps one to wash hands and an other for showering.

The mattress was nasty and worn out. The room was small and felt like a jail cell. The ppl were nice that wk't there and its close to a lot. SO SO place. Not longer then one night kinda place tho.
