I found the room very dirty: dirt under the beds, stained sheets and blankets and with cigarette holes. Also the room smelled a lot of smoke. Given my grievances in the direction, this one intervened by changing my room. Even the second room had the same characteristics as the first. Dissatisfied!

As we were checking, the customer in front of us asked the front desk clerk for a different room. He said the first floor room he had been assigned had cockroaches. He observed that the roaches probably came from the restaurant next door that had been closed. When my son and I checked in we were given a second floor room. As we enter the bathroom and turned on the light… roaches. We killed a couple and kept the light on. Very disappointing. This property needs to be fumigated.

Have stayed at this motel many time in the past… NEVER AGAIN! The grounds were littered with trash. Derelict cars in the parking lot. Ominous and menacing people hanging out. Air conditioner loud and barely functioning. Toilet leaned and was rickety. Bed sheets had holes in them and were stained. And the COCKROACHES infested everything and woke us up crawling on us in the night. Shame on motel 6. I will never give this establishment any more of my patronage.

The staff I dealt with was all very nice. The property however needs pest control and better security enforcement. Was a very I guess I’ll say rough type around the property. Honestly didn’t feel safe. Lots of cockroaches in the room, homeless people living in cars in the attached parking lot which also has an old abandoned restaurant it it.

Noisy. Room smelled like smoke even though there was a no smoking sign on the room door. I believe people live there because the whole entire night it was just easy outside people were talking knocking on the door almost like there was some kind of drug dealer living there.

The room was stuffy. I made the mistake of walking in the room with just my socks on. My white socks were black in just a few minutes. I've stayed in other Motel 6 motels (Oak street & the one off of Olive Drive) and had far better experiences. Even the Wi-Fi was "iffy". It kept prompting me to pay for a service that was suppose to be included in the room rent. I won't stay at this particular motel again.

The Motel 6 is exactly what you pay for. The cheap price is great and the clean rooms are perfect for a good night's sleep. Being able to hear the rest of the hotel is a serious downside. But when you need a cheap room, thank God for Motel 6!

I'm disappointed. I usually stay at Motel 6 and I always have a pleasant stay it's always clean and welcoming this time the room was definitely not clean the handle from the faucet fell off the telephone wasn't working I saw a roach about every 5 minutes I found roaches in my clothes there was mouse droppings around the room when house cleaning came to clean the room they didn't sweep under the beds or wipe down any of the areas where the mice droppings were so when we came back to our room it was still with mouse droppings and she did a good job for cleaning just where we can see but the cleaning is really needed at these Motels. I really think I do deserve my money back because we couldn't sleep we had to keep the lights on people were knocking on our door at random times we found a roach in the bed and made it difficult we didn't get the rest that we paid for so I think that we do deserve a refund I have never ever seen a roach at a motel ever.

Absolutely disgusting! Roaches crawling on bed and all over bathroom floor. In room 15 seconds and went back to office for refund. 4 days today-no refund on my cc. Motel manager not in till Thursday, nobody can assist with refund. One star to the drug dealers upstairs south of office in plain view as well… If they were better at their jobs, they could probably rent a nice house.? Deffinately NOT recommended. Zero stars unfortunately was not an option!

My stay was pleasant. The staff was helpful. My room was clean and comfortable. The TV had enough trouble with reception that it was unwatchable. TV is not my priority so that wasn't a huge deal, but it might be for some people.

Do not stay here as a single woman* 1. Harassment: After checking in, I was catcalled while walking to my room by another guest. The day after, I went to buy a soda (at the Del Taco in the same parking lot area) and a jittery man who could barely speak English (from drug use) called me over from across the restaurant to tell me he recognized me and he likes my hat. Uncomfortable. Then, as I was leaving the Del Taco, another man intercepted me in the parking lot to tell me he was watching me earlier, ask if I’m alone, ask if I’d like to hang out and motioned to his van. I declined and said I have a boyfriend. He FOLLOWED ME TO MY ROOM anyway and was knocking on my door waiting for me to come out for at least an hour. Other men were speaking to him in Spanish as he banged on my door. When I went to check out early the next day, another woman I spoke to said she was followed back to her room by a man when she simply walked across the street to get a coffee at 6 AM. You apparently cannot walk 200 feet without fearing being abducted. :/ Across the street at Super8, I also was sitting in my car at 6 PM and watched a shirtless man with a boom box on his shoulder literally come out of the bushes to chase after a woman alone in the motel parking lot and start yelling at her. In short, it is NOT safe here. Do not leave your room after 5 PM if you happen to stay here anyway. 2. Bugs: There were earwigs, roaches, and smaller bugs that I had to kill or flick off of my bags. 3.

My wife and I were treated very badly by the manager… we stayed for over a week and my wife had tripped and fallen to the ground near the front door, the staff members were very helpful with getting her up… 2 days prior to her fall I stepped out The door and tripped on a large amount of pet food left behind during a police involved removal of the tenant 2 door's to the left. (approximately 10:30 pm). I fell at 02:30 am. I notified the manager and she said I'll have someone clean it up. with no concern for my well being… She insisted that she be able to inspect the room on a moment's notice, I said can you please come back later because my wife is just out of the emergency room and is sleeping. She became very rude saying that it's Company Policy and must enter NOW. I opened the door, she looked in (didn't enter) and said you will leave in the morning. You will receive a refund for days you have left. I said that's your policy,, what about a policy for the roaches and pincher bugs. A policy for my wife being injured And in need of medical attention. She mumbled something and walked away. When I received my refund it didn't include my military discount. It was removed and full price was now my problem. My issue is with that manager and her only. I'm sure she will tell a very different story but the staff members should tell the truth. They seemed to disagree with her bullying. The rest of the staff members were true professionals And very helpful. This is not the end of it.

This place is not worth the $56.16 for 2queen size beds. It's very dirty. Plz go across the street to super 8. It's about $10 more and very clean for the same beds. It's going from total dump to like going to Hollywood honestly. At super 8 not only are the staff super nice the rooms super clean. You have more. Coffee in your room, microwave, fridge, hair dryer. You get nothing at this motel 6. So worth going across the street to super 8. Their morning waffles are really good, cereal 2 different kinds. Oatmeal, toast, coffee and orange juice. I so recommend super 8 across the street so worth the extra dollars and super clean compared to this motel.

Neat Clean Motel. Wi-Fi was not too good.

I really enjoyed my stay. The room was really clean and receptionists were very friendly. Kudos to them!

We checked in about 4 p. M. And quickly unpacked even though the room smelled like smoke and the smoke alarm was chirping. We called and reported the chirping noise and asked for it to be changed while we were out as we'd be back late. When we returned, we could hear the smoke alarm before we opened the door. As soon as we stepped in as turned on the light, about 20 cockroaches scattered around the room going in different directions! Needless to say, this was not acceptable nor was the chirping smoke detector. We immediately called and was told we could get a different room on the second floor. We had to repackage and move our own luggage around the building and up the stairs. It was totally not acceptable but at 1 in the morning, we really had no choice. It was disgusting and we never got an apology call or did anyone check on us. I feel the least this company could do is refund our money.

Promises, promises. I booked this room with the corporate answering service. Asked if they had a non-smoking room. He promised me a non-smoking room. The gentleman at the reservations desk also verified I would get a non-smoking room. There is an ashtray next to my phone and cigarette burns on my bedspread. There's nothing wrong with being a roach motel, just be honest about it. The room is clean but it's clear people have smoked in it. The neighborhood is ghetto and it looks to me like this particular property is the source. Avoid at all costs.

Horrible stay. The attendants seemed like young teenagers smiling and smirking when I asked a question. Then getting in the room… which was a little hard because the door seemed to get stuck all the time ; there was immediately pincher bugs and cockroaches on the floors and ceilings. At least 5 to 6 around. Then waking up in the middle of the night, there was some bug right above us on the ceiling. Not to mention the questionable people that seemed to be staying there. It was probably a bad area of Bakersfield, but I should have known that. Its not that great a place to begin with.

In the middle of the night, the headboard fell off the wall and hit me and nearly hit my wife. Scared the daylights out of us. There was a stain (either blood or makeup) on our towel. There was a used bar of soap left in the shower. There was also what looked like throw up still on the bathroom door. It was the worst we've seen at this motel 6, but the front desk lady did her best to make amends. The price and location is ideal for my travels to southern california, but I had to draw the line somewhere. If you would like I still have the pictures except for the headboard. In my opinion, the headboard was poorly fastened to the wall, and upon inspection, looks like it had fallen previously and put back up without adequate repair. Your staff was great though. No reflection on the front desk ladies I delt with during my stay. I usually recommend this particular location, but I will need to hold my recommendation until I know this was an isolated incident.

It was great! The workers are nice, and you know how some motels charge rediculess prices like 50$ per night per person but this place only charges 45.95$ per night. There is a pool and every thing. There are lots of restaurants in walking range. But some of the rooms don't have a plug for the bath tub. Other than that Motel 6 is a great place to stay when taking a vacation he at Bakersfield CA USA.

I have stayed at a Motel 6 at other locations, but the one on Easton in Bakersfield was not a good experience. Bakersfield was very hot on September 13 and the air-conditioning in the room was inadequate. There was only one ice machine at the motel, and it was broken. Also, the water from the faucet had a white, cloudy color. The water may not have been the fault of the motel. It is unlikely I will stay at a Motel 6 in Bakersfield again.

Last stop before hitting our last destination, coming from North Cal. It was super cheap and especially just driving to the hotel and asking for the room. Roughly came out to be $60 for 5 people in one 1 room. Double beds, these seem bigger than the other motels 6 we were staying at. It wasn't as modern ad the others due to not have a place to plug in your computer or any other inputs compared to other motel 6 we stayed at. The room felt bigger than the other ones. Would go back if need be.

This motel 6 is the best motel to stay at the staff is great I especially can name some of the great employees who are Wendy who'll go the extra mile to make sure a customer is happy also Erica, the same she makes sure your well taken care of. Sherry she's awsome I can't remember all the names but they really make sure your stay here at the motel 6 is comfortable and they're customer service is excellent.

Check in before 8 or so. Otherwise, you'll have to do it outside. If it's raining, you'll get wet. The room was accommodating, but the free Wi-Fi was difficult to access. I called for help, but no success. Arrived later in the evening after a rough drive, asked for late checkout and was given an additional 45 minutes. Housekeeping knocked on the door a few times and front desk called to know when I was checking out several minutes before the late checkout. I'd been staying with Motel 6 throughout my cross country experience and it was decent until I got to this property. It was so bad that I've decided to use Red Roof for lodging on my return trip.

Good service, clean beds but I did find a bug on the dresser. I was able to get a room during the holidays last minute.

There's only two things I can say need improvement, the quality of the towels and a better location for late arrivals. It was cold outside and we had to wait in line to check in. It would be better if they could relocate the check-in window to a better spot.

Price is good, its clean, very good condition had a great stay, I am not to big expensive motels/hotels but this price for this great of a motel was perfect. Its like a 5 star for a 1 star price. Not even playing. And this is my first ever review I ever done.

Check in was easy. Room was excellent for the price: clean, large bathroom, and a firm but comfortable bed. Bring your own shampoo/conditioner as they only provide bar soap. The free Wi-Fi was a bit spotty at times, but it was reasonably fast and better than I usually expect free Wi-Fi to be. Several decent restaurants nearby and a couple of vending machines are available.

Diaper friendly… Tell Front desk Girl… You need Diaper friendly room… These rooms… Reseveted for Adult babies And Bedwetters Who still Use Disposable Diapers.

This is for motel 6 on oak st. You cannot use a Game console with the TV because they lock the TV settings. The pool area isn't that great. The beds are made of tough memory foam that will hurt your lower back. You will see visible stains on cleaned linens. Basic cable channels. Not able to take bath due to the tub not having a plug.

If I could give zero stars I would… Look I get the whole get what you paid for concept however staying there was the worst experience of my life… Last night of a week long road trip and we were kept up all night by gun shots, Loud guests, and sketchy run through people… The room was dirty, floors hadn't been cleaned stains and cigarette burns on the bed… And we requested a non smoking room but it smelled like smoke and there was an ashtray of the table… Also the employees at the front, we should have known then that this plase was a horrible idea… Never and I mean never would have stayed if it hadn't been so late and we could not drive any further… You couldn't pay us to ever do that again! All and all if you're looking for a cheap place to push your drugs… that's the one…

It was a little hard to find, but good enough. The place looked clean and new, everything in the room was fine. There were some semi low lifes staying there, but that is to be expected for the price. Overall, it was a very good experience, and the Mexican resturant next door was great. I would visit again.

I am posting 1 star because that's the lowest available. Please Please if you are out of town travelers DO NOT STAY AT THIS MOTEL. It is full of drug dealers, thieves, hookers. Nothing but street trash, people. Police are there daily. People screaming all hrs of the day and night. I know this because I witness it on a daily basis. I happen to live close to this flop house. Please do not go by the higher star rating reviews, they are either fake or made by trash people staying there. Section 8 People stay there for a day or 2 then they are all over the sidewalks and outside littering all their trash.

This business has been fully remodeled and upgraded and is now a Red Roof Inn!

Room cost $400 per week… No phone No refrigerator Bedbugs nightmare… Manager stole our $100 deposit… Crack pipe under the sink… Soda machine broken… No laundry facilities… No breakfast (As advertised) Rude staff… Crazy manager from India Attacked me with brass knuckles… Burn this place down boys… Piss on the floor… Bring your stun gun… Pack your gun… Manager hates American kids KKK WHITE POWER smells like fire manager sprays breakfast down with pecdicide… the breakfast is posion… they call it "sending messages" we called the health departament rude indians who posion rich white kkkids… rude … manager is related to the ghost of sanja gupta.

Minimum cleanliness, not soundproofing, go and come from dealers all night with music at bottom. Sleep in your car or amongst the homeless will certainly help you. Avoid at all cost!

I stayed here last night and loved the hotel. It has a huge room, hair dryer, iron, microwave, fridge, coffee, free HBO and Wifi! Staff was very nice too! It was a great bargain! I will always stay here if I'm in Bakersfield!

Cons: old decor, single pane windows, run down, no drapes, thin walls, no microwave, no fridge, no lobby snacks I the am. Pros: Dry, comfortable bed, roomy, a bargain. If you are looking for an extended stay, forget it, the venitian blinds on the windows are lousy for blocking light, the windows and walls are too thin for quiet. If you need a sleep break on the road, good value. Tney supply a warm room and toilet. (I woulnt recommend the shower in my unit, but that is due to the water-stains fom the leaky faucet. )
