Depends on who's cooking. Majority of the food is frozen. Food is never consistant and the soup is pre packaged and frozen as well. But you'll get told its made in house. Which I can tell you it is not! The mandarin oranges on the house salad contains lead. Says right on the can. Beautiful building that's about it.

Got into town late, had a comfortable bed in an adorable room, had a fantastic shower and great company of coffee the next morning. Definitely stay here if you get the chance, especially if you can stay with a significant other.

Victorian themed architecture. Best architecture, we arrived at night and there was no staff to attend us, we had to wait for an hour to get the keys. Also for breakfast they only offered one coffee and muffin on one booking and not on the number of people staying, weird!

A really special Hotel. Lovingly restored and the rooms are beautiful. The back entrance is a little adventurous, but ok. Our room had no air conditioning. There was a fan. The bed is for people who like to lie very soft. The ice box in the hallway, unfortunately, was empty. Our room was right at the top of the entrance and with each Banging we on me. For the, the historic hotel love this Hotel very recommendable!

Cute, quaint hotel in the northern mountains of California. If you want to visit northern Nevada or Lava Beds/ Lassen Volcanic — this is the best place to stay. I love the decor but at the same time it also felt haunted lol. Would stay again. Staff is attentive, friendly and cares about ur overall experience.

The drinks in the Starbucks are great and the fries are delicious and the people are very nice and they make you feel welcome.

I was there with family having lunch. It was my first time there and it was fantastic. I had a grilled ham and cheese sandwich with chicken and dumplings soup. Both were delicious. There service was good. The waitress continually checked on us to see if we needed anything. The price was reasonable. There is a Starbucks inside the restaurant. I highly recommend this restaurant to new and repeat customers.

Very historical building in our small town. Very cozy place has a wood burning stove in bar area. Great place to have small events and large events.

I have a love for historical buildings. The current owners have done well blending the old and the new. It has a good sandwich shop/cafe.

History is alive in this building. If you love history and appriciate architecture and. Need to unplug? I recommend staying here. You will take astep back in time! Snuggly beds, Deep tubs. In the morning a free cup of Starbucks coffee to send you back to the rat race. I will return absolutely loved it!

Great place to get a Starbucks coffee and great pastry; dinner in the Higrade Room delish! Saloon is a great. NOTE: dining room is closed right now for kitchen remodel.

The historic Niles boasts a restaurant, bar, coffee shop and hotel. If you are looking for a glimpse into the past and have a taste for the wild west this is the place to stop by.

Absolutely loved it. So much fun. Full of history you could see and feel! Good was great too.

Close your eyes, it doesn't matter where you sleep. (Safe & secure, naturally. ) But when you're awake why not see something DIFFERENT for a change, someplace with character and history? The chain boxes are at every Interstate exit. Hotel Niles is in Alturas. Live a little! If you're retired, why rush on to the next Ramada. If you have KIDS they will never forget the time you spend here TOGETHER, trust me. DOUG out.

Great place to stop and have drinks with friends. Good food and some really cool retro early 19/20th century rooms.

Excellent food! Atmosphere is fun as it's a historically known Hotel, people who work their awesome, if you like hamburgars, these are the best I've ever had!

Great place to stay, the atmosphere was wonderful, everyone was so friendly. Lots of antique furniture, two dinning area's, one with Starbucks Coffee. They also have a ballroom that would be great for party's or weddings.

The Hotel Niles in alturas was a great overall experience. The atmosphere is the drawing factor, but the customer service and food quality will keep you there. The hours of service vary so call ahead to see what's availabe.

The Hotel is old three story building. It has no elevator but it is really neat to tour.

Quiet, cozy room. Loved the history in the hotel, they did such a great job restoring it! Everyone was super friendly, and it was a great place to see a show!
