This is the second time I have stayed at the lodge and can't wait to go back. The rooms are comfy, the staff are friendly, the views can't be beat, and the food is delicious. They make you feel like you are part of the family so much that I felt guilty not helping with the dishes after the meals. This will be a destination, not just a stop on the way.
Great family ran lodge, everyone really pitches in and makes the whole experience great! Thank you for hosting the Denali 100k starting line! We came up the day before so that we would be as rested as possible and unfortunately pulled in with the dreaded Denali Highway flat tire! The young men on the property really saved the day by plugging the tire and getting it aired up and put back on for us! I don’t know how pleasurable or safe it would have been to crew a runner for 62 miles on a spare! And let’s talk about dinner and breakfast being included in the room rate…. Loved it! Everything Chef made for us hit the spot and had I been able to figure out how to take a 5 gallon bucket of the turkey and rice soup in my car for the 20 hour run, I would have! Thanks again for EVERYTHING! Y’all really took a load off of us and can’t wait to find a reason to come back!
