Very safe, clean room, nice fitness room, 24 hour coffee, great amenities.

Canceled my reservation for no reason. They don’t follow their own policies. Beware they will lie, however my reservation email states non of their claims.

This place is absolutely disgusting. When we checked in, the clerk assigned me a room that had been broken into. You can literally see where the door and door jam were pryed open on multiple doors on the 3rd floor and the door would not close all the way. When I informed the clerk and asked for safety reasons if I could please be given another room, she acted as if I asked her to run to the moon. The second room that I was assigned CLEARLY had not been clean. There was hair, makeup, and body fluids on the sheets and pillows of "made up" beds. One headboard was smeared in body/baby oil. There was hair and mold inside the mini fridge. The bathroom was even worse and looked like it had been used. I showed the front clerk this and AGAIN she acted as if I was asking too much for a clean room. We left after this. Worse experience at a hotel that I have ever in my life had.

Clean room good customer service.

Very clean and smelled nice. Very helpful front desk ladies and polite. Within walking distance of Walmart, tractor supply and several fast food places within 1 min. Nice over all would stay again.

I am enjoying my stay here. Coming back next week to work. Beds are comfortable, breakfast is tasteful especially the eggs and pancakes. And there are also shopping centers and restaurants in walking distance. So yes this is a plus for me.

NO complaints. Hotel clean. Staff helpful. Breakfast was great. Beds were comfy. Only thing I personally didn't like was the room I was in 126 doesn't have blackout curtains!

Everything was wonderful, and the staff was friendly and one of them knew some of our family.

Booked a double room. Arrived to find there were only king rooms left. Tried to make it work with pull out couch. Pull out couch mattress has more stains on it than you could imagine. Told we can take it or leave it. Do not stay here!

Rooms nice and clean even if they seem a little older. They didn't have the charging ports that we had in the last Holiday Inn Express. The breakfast selection was nice. The employees were friendly.

This is definitely the nicest hotel in Talladega. However, most times there doesn't seem to be enough parking. The staff is generally friendly, but often seem overworked. The breakfast is decent, but definitely nothing to write home about.

Terrible hotel, stay anywhere else. The place stinks so bad we were forced to stay away from lobby and elevator. Rude. Wouldnt refund money. Just dont. Sleep in your car!

Water is extremely hard, I turned beet red and was irritated for almost 30 minutes. The carpet in the room is really dirty and stained, I couldn’t shower for the stay nor could I wash my grand baby or let her be on the floor. The breakfast wasn’t always fresh. The eggs were always hard on the edges, turkey sausage was in the pork sausage tray. There was blue lint on the turkey sausage The dryer takes two dollars for 45 minutes and doesn’t dry, the vent has holes in it, and w…hen I open the dryer door to add items, it never stopped spinning. That’s dangerous if you have a child with you. For $100 a nite, they could do better.

Booked 2 nights with two queens for us and two grandbabies. Foyer looked fine, and at first glance room looked ok. We dropped off our bags and headed out to visit our son and pick up the grands. We came back very late and got ready for bed. Then we found a bug on the curtain, and crumbs between top sheet and comforter. Next morning, noticed holes in the carpet and stains on the shower curtain. As we left the room, we stopped to make sure we removed the do not disturb sign. It was 9:20 am. We returned after 10 pm to find the room had not been cleaned. Dirty towels on the floor, trash in cans and unmade beds. Husband went to front desk and was given clean towels and told to wait until morning to talk with manager. Next morning I went to use the hair dryer and found it smeared with what I hope was chocolate. Thank Goodness I always bring Clorox wipes! The MOD Pina never even apologized and kept saying we had to contact Expedia which we did not use to book the room. I use expedia at work several times a week for flights and all emails from them come from Expedia. This was NOT expedia booking. I went to their website to book, but the email confirmation was from Hotel reservation. Total cost for 2 nights was $277. Oh and they have a sign in the room saying they will make good if we are unsatisfied with cleanliness of room. Never again with Holiday Inn. My 1 star was for the breakfast area. Oh and Pina used the excuse that the DND sign was on our door. A lie.

There was dead bugs inside the light, and the worst part was that THE BATHTUB WAS CLOGGED. The rooms are also outdated. At the very least when we ate pizza they let us in the breakfast area. And the pool was closed… Thermostat was broken. Otherwise I would never come here again.

Buyer, beware. This place is absolutely horrendous. My family is staying at this location due to an Easter Family Reunion. We reserved a suite with two queen beds (they may actually be double because they are tiny), and a fold out sofa bed. The room is extremely dirty. There is a dead bug under our bed, lying amongst other debris. The couch cushions are stained with God only knows what. When I pulled the sofa bed out, the entire mattress was soiled with urine, and then the ce…nter of the mattress is covered in a very dark substance. Our family of 5 is now forced to squeeze into these two tiny beds, with no pillows, because they were covered in brown fluids. Sleep will not come easy, as there is a motorcycle gang outside our window and a large rowdy party down the hall. (Yes, we are still here… for just a few hours more. ) I will add the photos, which speak for themselves. We would have been in better conditions if we had camped outside. Absolute disgusting. Stay away, unless you enjoy squalor.

We went there as refugees from Florida during a hurricane. We were tired, hungry and frazzeled when we arrived late at night. We were greeted by a friendly front desk employee who attended to our needs. We had hoped for a handicapped accessible room but none were available so she provided us with extras which made the room safer. The breakfast buffet was scrumptious and plentiful and was open until 11 AM which was helpful due to a packed house full of fellow refugees. Beds were very comfortable and the rooms were very clean with no hint of bad smells at all.

Ketan is such a nice person. The service was great, breakfast was wonderful. Came into my room, it smelled like flowers, everything was perfect. I spent 5 days there, and most certainly would come back. The maids come in everyday and make sure everything is clean and tidy. I highly recommend.

Very nice hotel, clean lobby, halls, and room. I didn't get to experience their breakfast buffet, but I will visit again.

Nice rooms, staff were very nice, breakfast was good. The town is much smaller than I expected for a major Nascar race town. I would stay again.

My room was left unlocked and maid service did not clean the room or replace the towels except the night before I left and I was in the room to see that it was done. Yes, they took out the trash. Elevator was not cleaned in 4 nights I stayed there. No fresh coffee in the dinner room for guests except during breakfast. Breakfast was prepared but not well attended by server so the scrambled eggs/omelettes were dry and rubbery… all around a Very Poor Holiday Inn Express experience! I also witnessed the front desk clerk/manager loudly arguing with a guest this morning. Very Disturbing!

Nice hotel, nice day off. They were in some kind of a navigation blackout area though and I had to call the hotel for directions to get there.

Customers safety is a concern. We I checked into my hotel room the smoke detector was hanging from the wall. I call the front desk asked if I wanted to change room or they could fix it in the morning. The alarm was "fixed" in the morning and sound the next evening. The front office reset the alarm so that it would not continue to alarm. I spoke with the manager Keaten to discuss the entire matter and the safety of the matter. His response was things like this happen and it is was out of his control. Safety for the build is in his concern and should be more of a concern to Holiday Inn. It was apparent that the customers before our visit were smoking in the and had tempered with the smoke detector which is a major safety concern. The breakfast was good. Disappointed that the manager was unable to recognize room safe for customers concern I would not recommend this hotel.

For starters, the hallway outside of the rooms is hot & muggy. It feels like the A/C broke & they have a fan circulating air from outside. Frankly, it's miserable, & you'll break out in a sweat before you reach the elevator. Moving on to the bugs. My sister in law squished a stink bug. No big deal, bugs happen, whatever. THEN we found another one & spots on the walls & ceiling where other bugs had be squished & their blood & guts were left behind. It was gross. The only reason I gave this hotel as many starts as I did is because the bed was comfortable, & they had great chocolate chip muffins. I still wouldn't stay again though.

Nicely welcomed by staff but older hotel didn't stay because the pool was closed for the year.

Hotel staff VERY friendly! Room here cleaner than last Holiday Inn we stayed at in GA. Luggage cart was VERY difficult to maneuver! Overall I highly recommend!

I can't believe that they did not have enough towels sheets or blankets. If you wanted your linens changed, you would have to wait until they wash some before the bed could be made. Asked for a blanket, was told that they had to use those for the pullout beds. Would not give us one and didn't have one on our bed. The carpet was frayed and soiled looking. Will not stay there again. You.

Convenient location to a place I was Working. Friendly knowledgeable staff, updated rooms, with a refrigerator and microwave. Also very important is a shower drain that was not clogged like a few recent hotels I've stayed at in the recent past.

This is at least my eighth year at this location and the staff was amicable. The room was clean and the breakfast was perfect. There weren't five starts because my cousin got a cut on her foot from the floor, which was not bad but unexpected. Four stars.

Great place to stay. Friendly staff and very accommodating. Clean. Breakfast was great. 5stars. The only place I will ever stay while visiting the area.

Almost Everything was great, staff was accomodating, rooms were clean, but the shower was pitiful.

I was returning from work for my last night checked in, and the front desk gave away my room a night early. Luckily I had no personal belongings in there. When she gave me a new room, I was not surprised to find that the TV was on and somebody else's belongings were in there. Last thing I wanted to deal with after a long day of work was the hassle of dealing with so many room switches.

Good rooms but service was bad.

The beds were way to hard. I couldn't get the temperature in the room constant. It was either to hot or cold. The breakfast was nasty. For a holiday Inn, I was very disappointed when I paid $129 that night. Thats why I will continue to stay at a Hilton Hotel.

Was only there for a business meeting. The room was ok but signs leading to it could be improved.

Roaches, roaches, roaches. Tiles grout blacked out due to lack of cleaning. Dust in room on night stand. Torn carpet exposing carpet tack strip in the walk way between bedroom and bathroom. Stink bugs in hallway. Ive been to many holiday inn's, this by far was the most unkept inn I have been to. And this is nit picking, but no eggs at breakfast with two kinds of sausage to be had really. Ive been a huge fan of holiday inn but my goodnes wtf.

Horribleeeee gross hotel. Bed bugs found in rooms and there was BLOOD in the sheets. Very disgusting.
