Absolutely loved this hotel. Friendly staff, beautiful atmosphere. Comfortable beds and very clean. Very satisfied.

But make sure you get a top room. Heavy foot woke me up this morning. Enjoyed the bar and staff, they were very attentive and nice. Will stay there again, if in Anniston.

This hotel was absolutely beautiful, I do wish we had been able to get the room we wanted. We booked the Grand Ballroom Suite but unfortunately an hour before we arrived they called us and said they room was unavailable due to maintenance I feel we should have received a discount or another stay at a discounted rate.

We loved this southern beauty. Rooms were comfortable and spacious. Staff was friendly and helpful. Continental breakfast was fabulous! Best coffee! So beautifully decorated for Christmas. We will diffently return and stay in a suite next time. You should really considered staying at Hotel Finial. If you want a suite book early. I hear they fill up fast.

Everything about the hotel is great! Jock in the front was friendly and helpful and the room and bathroom were very clean. Breakfast was great and the pool was quite and relaxing. Best hotel stay in years… and I travel often!

My fiancé and I just spent the weekend here! It’s such a beautiful property! The staff is amazing, and so friendly! We will definitely be back the next time we are in town.

We stayed at Hotel Finial for three nights for a sister cousins reunion. The hotel is certainly top shelf. From the linens to the breakfast, it was a great experience. The owners are visible and very accommodating. I would highly recommend this independently owned historical hotel that goes above and beyond for their guests.

The Main House is Beautiful! The Finial offers a wonderful complimentary breakfast in the main house. Very nice atmosphere! Love the property overall!

Exceptional! Friendly staff with clean rooms with remodeled interior that is much classier than any Marriott or Hampton. Given the option to visit Anniston again, I wouldn't stay anywhere else. It really feels like this place should be $200/night but it's much less than that. Also, the breakfast served in the main house (which is a remodeled 1800's mansion) was delicious and a very nice touch.

This hotel was awesome and very reasonably priced. They accommodated our family’s wedding party and family. The breakfast was excellent, beds and pillows were super comfortable and everything was very clean and well kept. The dining rooms were elegant as well! Awesome job!

My daughter and I stayed here for two days in the cottage it was amazing. The staff is very friendly it's such a peacefull environment, a great place to relax the room was very clean. The breakfast is amazing. It's such a beautiful place and the view when the sun sets is just breathtaking.

I am in love with this place! The amenities you get for not much higher, actually in some cases less expensive, than regular hotels can't be beat. The staff are amazing and out of sight unless you have a need, the rooms gorgeous, as is the entire place. I'm entranced by the history, as well as it's haunting. The main house takes you back to old days as you get visions of dinner parties and snuggly winters, or nice summer breezes on the expansive porches. Can't wait to come back!

This beautiful Queen Anne Victorian mansion hotel is set in the middle of a busy city. Our stay was wonderful. We roomed in the modern section of the hotel where turret staircases are wrapped around the elevator, you look at the mansion through tall trees, the smell of flowers and the bluest pool. The breakfast was a variety to satisfy even my finiky habits. If you want to stay in the mansion request a suite.

We only stayed one night. Room was nice. Breakfast in the morning was amazing. I wish that we had stayed several nights to be able to use the amenities and really be able to enjoy the house.

We have never been to Alabama and planned to head straight to Birmingham but after coming through Atlanta and dealing with the big city hustle we wanted to find more of a small town slower pace to stay the night. That's when I came across Hotel Finial! I wanted a bnb type feel but my husband was a tad uncomfortable with the idea of staying in someone's home. Hotel Finial was the best of both worlds! I got the quaint, beautiful, and homey experience and he was absolutely com…fortable! From check in to check out every was so accommodating! The entire property felt so secure and clean, it was a breath of fresh air. We both were excited about the breakfast and it absolutely did not disappoint. We got carry out from Mata's right off property and came and ate by the pool and it was all just perfect! This is a great concept, beautifully furnished, such sweet people, and yummy food, you cannot go wrong! *Make sure to check out Mata's as well as St. Michaels! * Thank you for providing such a wonderful place to stay!

This review is purely based on the breakfast. We stayed here approximately a year ago and the breakfast was amazing. Now it is no better than a mid-range hotel's breakfast with it's mediocre eggs and processed sausage and pastries. A year ago they had fried catfish and amazing sausage links. Also to go cups with actual lids. The breakfast is literally the main thing we came back for. It was that good. Next time we will save $60 and stay at something like a Fairfield and get basically the same breakfast.

I really enjoyed my stay. I am from Anniston but moved away years ago and one of my dreams as a kid was to spend a night at the Victoria Inn which is now the Hotel Finial. It was beautiful a sight to see and I loved it. The breakfast was awesome I love fish n grits so I felt right at home. The staff is amazing the bathrooms are so beautiful, I slept like a baby, the rooms were very clean. We had a wonderful weekend staying at the Hotel Finial!

The Finial is a beautifully remodeled Victorian mansion with addtion hotel accommodations built around the perimeter of the property. We visited Spenser's, the on premise bar, and really enjoyed the ambience. They have a nice deck on the property and several beautiful patios perfect for enjoying a cocktail. The restaurant is only open at breakfast. However, they do allow you to bring food in should you wish to enjoy bone of their beautiful dining areas. The facility is gated so don't be alarmed of you see see closed gates upon your arrival. Just hit the buzzer and let them know you are there for a drink!

Stopped by the bar of this hotel that my coworkers are staying. Great service. Even though I don't drink I was served the best Shirley Temple ever. Please forgive for forgetting the bartenders name but he was great. I recommend this place to any and everyone.

A charming hotel in downtown Anniston, Alabama that's built around an antebellum home. The staff is attentive and friendly. Owned by one of Alabama's state senators, who also apparently built some of the furniture.

Amazing hotel and amazing staff. This place was very beautiful and had some amazing history. If you ever need to stay somewhere romantic or to just get away choose this place.

Beautiful place. I have an annual appointment in Birmingham but didn"t want to drive both ways from Atlanta in one day, so we came to explore the Talladega National Forest and found this hotel. Rooms are lovely, and the bed just sucks you in so you don't want to leave. House is beautifully decorated for Christmas. Breakfast is great and the people are very friendly.

Our wedding day was beyond what we had ever imagined. Patsy and Ginger worked so hard, and were so attentive in making sure that everything even down to the most intricate, fine detail was in place. The package we chose was such a wonderful value for the price. It was basically the one stop shop I had been dreaming of! As a bride that was working a very taxing job, and putting in 12 hour days, I did not have a lot of time to plan, make decorations, go to bridal shows, or any of that. I was in need of someone that I could explain my wants and needs to, and they would handle everything. Ginger and Patsy, along with their staff, worked so hard to give me and my husband the wedding day of our dreams! The package price was $3500 (at the time of our wedding), and included the wedding cake, all the linens, silverware, plates, food for the reception, and so much more for 50 guests. We did pay a little extra to have a beautifully decorated arch and a cash bar at our wedding. Plus, the Hotel Finial is already amazingly gorgeous, so there is no need for extra decorations! (Which was great because I did not have time to make any, nor anywhere to put them after the wedding was over. ) Everything was absolutely amazing. In meeting and planning with Patsy and Ginger, we had a wonderful time.

This is for sure Anniton Al hidden jewel. Very quite, clean hotel located in the center of the city. Everything was extremely clean and the bar service was excellent. You have to stay for breakfast… the grits are to dye for. Thank you to the entire staff for making our stay worth coming back. See you in Feb.

Gorgeous architecture and the food is good (considering it is a free hotel breakfast). Beds are nice and comfy, and smoking and pets aren't allowed due to people with breathing issues and/or allergies. Though I'm sad that I didn't see any furry companions, at least those with allergies aren't effected. Great staff and a phenomenal experience overall. Warning, if staff smells smoke in your room, you will be charged approximately $250.

Fantastic staff — White glove service. Met one of the owners and she made us feel like part of the family. Evacuated for Hurricane Irma but are loving this sweet cozy hotel.

A beautiful hotel. Historic but tastefully remodeled on a modern style. Enter from the main road, Quintard/Highway 21, and proceed to the old carriage house, now Spencer's. This also doubles as hotel check-in. You will fine a great selection at the bar with great top shelf options.

We stayed in Hotel Finial while attending a concert in Anniston. We knew nothing about the hotel when we booked, but what an incredible surprise! We've stayed in hotels all over the country and in Europe and this ranks up there as one of the finest. From the ease of check in, to the lovely decor of the rooms, and to the delicious breakfast! The staff is so friendly and so knowledgeable of this historic property. Jacob went above and beyond in helping fix a problem that he did not create. His actions will not be forgotten. Thank you, Jacob! When we need to be back in the Anniston area, we will definitely stay at Hotel Finial!

Love this hotel! That wasy first time visiting Alabama and staying at this hotel made the experience 5 times better. Not sure what it looked like before but the renovations are amazing, the staff was very polite and friendly (the night shift guy and the overnight guy), and I was amazed at the fact that it was gated. Very well done Hotel Finial, very well done! I will most definitely be staying here again!

We attended the Festival of Feathers event held at the hotel. I was amazed by the property. The grounds are immaculately kept, and the history that has been preserved in itself give enough reason to stay there. The blend of old an new is flawless. You need to see the amazing table that was made from a tree stump that was on the property. But most importantly, the owners, Del and Ginger Marsh, were gracious hosts that made us feel like family. If you are​ in the area, I highly recommend staying at the Fenial, or at the least stop by and visit. You won't be disappointed.

Hotel Finial is lovely. The rooms are very modern and comfortable and the old Inn section has several large sitting rooms, porches and little nooks and crannies to sit in comfort inside or out. Perfect place for a large party, reunion or small wedding reception.
The inn owners have done a great job of renovating this stunning Victorian lady. They knew where to lighten up colors and artwork and lay modern rugs and where to keep the old molding, woodwork, window frames and traditional lines. Very tasteful and lovely architectural balance.
And oh that amazing breakfast! I gained a couple of pounds but worth it!

Great little gem hidden in Anniston. Honestly should be rated a 4 star hotel. The free breakfast buffet with catfish is absolutely excellent.

Absolutely LOVED this place! I found it by chance using the Hotels Tonight app… so happy I did. Old school charm oozing from the exterior (and interior) of the main house, and brand new, modern rooms on the inside. Loved the carriage house check in. Very cool dark wood bar open until 11pm. Room was very stylish… Lots of greys and whites and stone. Water from the glass shower felt perfect. The bed was so comfortable, we dressed quick, grabbed a delicious breakfast served in the main house, then got back in bed until the last minute, checking out at 11am.

My wife and I stayed over night in the Kirby suit after our wedding and it was amazing it has a modern look to it and we'll kept and the breakfast was delicious.

Worst place ever we booked are room 3 months in advance and the week of they call us and tell us that they are doing renavations and we cant stay there. Then when we ask how are we going to get are money back they tell us that spedeo will be contacting us but they have no info on speedo including there number or email. So yes I would say this is a majior incanvious and that they are very unprofessional. If you have plans mayed to do something 3 months in advance it is not easy to book a apt near by on so short notice. If you were doing renavations you should of called us a little early than the week before. I would not suggest staying here.

It's a bit run down right now but under new management. I think any issues will improve. The mattress was new and quite comfortable, and the pool was clean and well taken care of. I would have liked more fresh fruit at breakfast. Joan at the front desk is super helpful. I would recommend this to any of my friends and family. Oh, dog friendly with minimal fee.

Good place to stay. Like living in a tree house.

I made a reservation for non smoking and they gave me a smoking room, saying it was the only one left. The parking lot was maybe a quarter full so I'm pretty sure they had other rooms. When we got into the room the lights were flickering and the heat was blasting. It was maybe 90 degrees which made the smoke smell really intense. My two small kids had a really tough night and all our stuff smelled like smoke the next day. Breakfast the next day was not great either, dry potatoes, weird tasting scrambled eggs, and not syrup for the self service waffles. Nightmare experience.

Unique place to stay. My wife and I stayed in the McKleroy room in the main house. Very nice, warm and cozy feeling. Felt very welcoming, like I was home.

Best place to eat in Anniston and worth the drive from wherever you are! Have never been disappointed by Chef Alan and his delicious food! From a $12 blue plate special each night to the signature dinners we have eaten here many times and will keep coming back.

Internet has been nigh unusable for even basic browsing the days I've been here. The food could use an infusion of tasteful ingredients as it is all just bland store bought. And the TV is older than me with an antenna on it. I came here for work as it seemed like it would be a nice place to come back and relax at, my mistake. The only way its avoiding a 1 star is the hot water works and the bed is clean.

Really cool place to stay and super friendly staff. Great breakfast buffet. I forgot $1300.00 cash in the room, and the next day I called and told them about it. They found it and shipped it to me. Evey penny was there. I'm so happy that there are still good people like that in the world, and the Victoria Inn is the place I found them. Will stay there every time I'm in Anniston.
