Having read the reviews online, I was shocked. But the choice was small. Most travel agencies in Minsk (Belarus) suggested tours for 6 days in Aspen hotels, Erden or Grand Ons. The reviews are all were, to put it mildly frightening. We were in Aspen. At the reception there is a sign on which proudly flaunt 4 (! ) stars (which is obviously overestimated, but by the standards of the Istanbul solid three star all the same you can give) and price per day for 2-bedded room 200 (! ) the Euro. I. E. If people come by and ask for the room with them require unrealistic money. Our tour cost 500 dollars per person for 6 days together with the flight (it cost the 360). It turns out, taking into account deductions for the meeting party, somewhere 50-60 dollars per day for a double room. Now about impressions. At the reception hardly speak Russian (know a few common phrases) and even less English. So if you need to find out the information (how to get there, or book a tour), you have to speak Russian-English and use gestures. But this is the only minus of service. The Turks are very friendly, and helped things drag on the bus during the eviction, kind. Problem with it was not. Small room 603 on the 6th floor. Clean, plasma TV on the wall (on the 1st Russian channel ORT), two twin beds, recently made repairs in the toilet repair (bath with shower, washbasin and toilet). Although I have to admit, after taking a shower, even with closed the leafs, a little water flowed near the toilet. But we're not worried about because cleaned every day. The room we stayed on the wall of the adjacent building (3-4 metres). First, the location is not so good, but then I realized that due to the peculiarities of urban architecture such trouble of all the hotels; only rooms overlooking the street could have some type. In the window location, facing the wall, is the main plus! It is quiet, no sounds from the noisy street (hotel is located in the Laleli district of shops, boutiques, markets, and just street vendors) not fetched. A bit noisy air conditioning, I even turn off on the night of the first days that I may sleep, but then didn't make it. Towels were changed regularly every day, shampoo and soap, if was full of bottles at the washstand, left also regularly. Only, bed linen was not changed, but we were just 5 nights and we are not particularly worried. I think that if asked, would have changed. By the way, the maid well knows Russian. In a Cabinet under the dressing-table on the day of departure discovered a small fridge! But judging by the inscriptions in the Elevator, for taking food in the room a fine of $ 200. We мкдональдса somehow brought in, but after all carefully removed and even noise, the next morning in the ballot box is in 20 metres from the hotel! (risk 200 dollars't want to, because all the time spent in Istanbul, our passports were at the reception; they were taken at the time of introduction and gave only at checkout when we came down from things down. They were kept, apparently, in a safe. I must say that this was also a plus, I was not afraid that I'd lose an important document, without which homecoming could be delayed, and in the streets no one documents never asked — and no wonder! In Istanbul daily is about 3 million tourists! And this is with a population of 15 million! ) Now about the Breakfast. Having read the reviews, I thought to have Breakfast elsewhere. They say it is not tasty, monotonous, чичевичный soup sick! But it was not as bad. 2 kinds of sausages, fried potatoes, hot sausages, vegetables, dates, pastries, several cheeses and cottage cheese, olives etc Jam was a lot. Coffee, tea, delicious juices that on the street cost 1 Lira (half a dollar) for 300 ml.! We наедались almost the whole day. Only, Breakfast from 7 am to 10 am. We came to 7.20-7.30 and were the first, just enough. Breakfast usually on the open area of the hotel is the roof of the hotel with views of the Marmara sea. Can Breakfast was monotonous, but to me for 5 days not tired! It was a hearty and tasty. No food poisoning, of which I was so afraid. We drove in Istanbul at lying, and watch the city and all sights, so went for Breakfast at 7.30, and left at about 9 am. Returned after 21.00. Therefore, all the minor disadvantages to not be noticed. In the hall on the ground floor in a cell live large parrot, who knows. Meow! In General, the impression of the hotel is good. Yes and he is good. Go 200 meters to the tram stop and it 3-4 stops and we are in the center (near St. Sophia Cathedral). Wrote in details so that people were not afraid to go to this hotel. He obviously has undergone recently renovated and the prices are also quite affordable. Night again, when a year or two back in Istanbul. Because the city is magical! We stay visited 16 mosques, St. Anthony Church, Greek Church, St. Sophia Cathedral, the Museum of the Ancient East, archaeological Museum, the military-sea, water tank. Were still Palace Topkapi and Dolmabahce Palace, the ferry journey in Eyup (a magic place! ), visited the Egyptian market, Grand Bazaar, just strolling through the winding streets, were on the Asian side of Istanbul. 't count! All a pleasant journey in Istanbul and a pleasant stay in the hotel Aspen.
