Location is perfect and the hotel is really elegant and clean. The misisng star is for th elack of proper facilities at the room. For example there was no iron, the shampoo bottles and the toilet paper weren't provided on daily basis. The 7th floor for breakfast and dinner got the best view. The staff are not the friendliest but they are good enough. Would go back again.

Pay in cash of your home currency. Beware that there is no option to pay by card in other currency that Turkish lira, therefore you will end up paying more that otherwise stated in your confirmation email. The view during breakfast is nice but the loud background music is excruciating. Tables tops are sticky as the staff cleans a few tables and even the chairs with ONE wet cloth. To top this, the breakfast spread is less than average. Flavourless fruits, stale bread, cheap juice, watered down coffee, you name it! Staff at check-in was only interested in selling you places to go and eat, nothing else. Cleaning room service only change the towels and tidy the beds. Soap and body wash liquid not replenished. Floors, sink and table are not wipe clean. There was a layer of dust. By the way unfortunately, we stayed for here for 7 days. It is honestly not worth for what you will be paying. The only saving grace is the size of the room but then, are you gonna stay in all day? Be warned. The hotel service is not even 3 stars.

A great hotel in a prime location!
I was there for the second time and left both times very satisfied. Very nice clean rooms. The staff, whether hotel manager or room service is very friendly and helpful. The hotel is run with 4 stars, I think it has long since earned the fifth star!

We stayed here for five nights. There are good and bad points that are worth mentioning. Let's begin with the positive ones. The location is wonderful. Close to Sisane metro and bus station and a 5 minute walk to Istiklal Street. The cleaning and housekeeping service is perfect. The breakfast view is lovely (but not the breakfast itself! ) The architecture and decoration are beautiful and you feel like you're in an old mansion. The staff understand English and you won't have trouble communicating. The staff are ok but friendly? I don't think so! They barely say hi, bye or thank you! However, the only exception was the girl at the reception called Idil. She knows English very well and is really nice and helpful. Apart from her, the rest of the staff are not very friendly, specially the one in charge in the mornings (he might be the day manager). He is outspoken and even a bit aggressive in his attitude. The sad point is that they are clearly nicer and friendlier towards guests from Europe or America but when it comes to middle-eastern guests such as Iranians they act as if those guests are a nuisance. This is a serious issue that the manager needs to address. The room is clean and nice with a safe box and a lovely air-conditioner but the room service is poor! We asked for a set of fork and knife in the middle of the day and they rudely said that the kitchen is closed and that they won't send it to our room.

Good value for the money, polite and welcoming staff. Nicely located in the lively Beyoglu, just a few steps away from Galata Tower and 4 min by taxi from Taksim. Breakfast is filling but poor quality, surely not worth the money.

Very impressive building. Superb rooms. Good service. Avoid rooms close to the old lift as loud noise from the roof top is not bearable at late hours.

Great hotel on great place, sweet spa with sauna, Turkish hammam and swimmingpool. No-smoke rooms. Very nice, clean room with big beds and good isolation walls. 4 stars just because its a mezze bar on the roof where you must reserve table because people who are not guest are coming there. Also its not caffe where you can sit and drink coffee or tea, because you need to eat mezze.

That was more like a 3star hotel, Victorian style furniturus and interesting design. Employees behaviour was ok.

My husband and I booked the corner suite on the fourth floor for three nights and were completely satisfied with our room. It was always clean and the classic décor was very pleasing to us.
Also the staff was courteous and very friendly.
Breakfast is not possible, as we always ate outside. The restaurant is located on the top floor with a small terrace where you have a beautiful view of the Golden Horn.
A small spa with sauna, steam bath and Turkish bath is located on the bottom floor. On request you can also book massages, but for our taste very overpriced. We were glad that we were the only guests in addition to another couple, because there are only three beds and a shower in the relaxation area of the small swimming pool… Towels are only available on request and the staff had to find them first…
The location is great, you can walk to the shopping street Istiklal and there are good restaurants around the corner. On weekends there are live music in individual bars.
On the whole we are very satisfied and very happy to come back.

Yeah, very good hotel with experience and quality staffs who can take of you at all time you need… Off course it is expensive but you will enjoy your money. Visiter là-bas pour comprendre, un personnel très qualifié toujours à votre disposition, l'adresse est dans un quartier chic 'TAKSİM'. Je le recommande à tous! @DianDIACK.

The hotel is in a good location. In the beautiful area of the pen… Walking distance to Istiklal Avenue… But the hotel itself is dark and uninviting inside (we were in winter and the weather was rainy). The room has all the amenities and a kettle… Clean bathroom. Friendly staff…

Clean antique furniture hotel. Facilities and breakfast are ok, swimming pool and Turkish bath. The view in higher stories is great and the area is full of nice restaurants, cafes and night clubs.

Nice and beautiful place, especially last floor where you will have your breakfast with a marvel view of Istanbul.

Excellent hotel. Ancient architecture but very modernized. The destination on the terrace is a spectacle, they can't. You can also dine, although I did not have the opportunity to comment. Wi Fi works very well.

Very rude staff (well, typical turkish hospitality, a bit worse) especially the evening shift (try to avoid the man with puffy and curly hair), poor room service (don't be surprised if your bedsheets are changed once every 4 days), terrible crisis management (we had no water for 2 days without any advanced notice, nobody was sorry about it), very noisy street. You will have to sleep with a turkish electronic music as your lullaby thanks to the pubs nearby, so so breakfast, good location, walking distance to metro station and Taksim square. The swimming pool is the best thing about this place although the opening hours (10-22) would probably not work for tourists. It is recommended that you book via an agency otherwise the price does not worth it, at all.

Very good place to visit the most important places in Istanbul, you can walk around everything is very close. Excellent hotel. Good service, the food is good.

We stayed in this hotel for 4 nights last week. It has a fantastic classic decoration, friendly staffs and clean and comfortable rooms. Restaurant is at seven floor and it has a great great great view of Istanbul. Breakfast was good and delicious. hotel's location is great. Just one alley to istiklal street, 5 min to bus stop and 3 min to shishane metro station. Every thing was wonderful. Definitely I will stay in this hotel whenever I come again to Istanbul.

Huge rooms, breakfast very good (half turkish half european) on the rooftop. Safe area and walking distance to all the sights if you are in reasonable shape.

Very good place, clise to metro station and close to Istiklal street, default to park if you are coming with a car.

This place is very quite and relaxing and clean! A definite recomandation.

Nice property. But have some bad comments: — the location is bad and alot of bars and clubs — the bar located on the 7th floor is very noisy and they started at 10 pm daily, so if they want to make parties and events they have to isolate that from the rooms to qualify the comfort of the guests — they have some delay in the room service — the lights are very low causes headache for the one!

The staff were very friendly and helpful. It can be noisy at night from SOSEDNH entertainment facilities, but if you don't open the window, it's fine.

Looking forward to have a good time, this will be my first visit to your hotel, I hope I will enjoy my stay, looks like a nice place from pictures.

Very close to major attraction. Decent service and well maintained property.

I do not recommend this hotel:1 ° the room sound. 2nd bad service in the restaurant Café de Paris (ask for an espresso at breakfast costs €4 extra). 3rd Nefasto cleaning service of rooms (two days in a row without making the bed, or changing the towels. We are a bundle of tobacco and empty chocolate under the bed). 4th surprising: there is no communication in the reception staff (we ask for a picnik to leave early and they called us at 5 in the morning to tell us that they opened up breakfast for us when last night were that they were preparing us picnik). 5th unheard: have No official claim sheets. I asked a claims sheet in comfortable and gave me a sheet of blank paper to expose my complaint, that surely does not reach anywhere. For this reason I use this forum.

Mixed feelings. Location is awesome, very near a couple of very good restaurants. The staff is friendly and prompt. The main concern is the rooms while looking nice they are a big cramped and there's several small annoyances that make the experience less enjoyable. Liked the pool and turkish bath a lot.
