Kayata is a cosy, unique and magical hotel. Ayse on reception was AMAZING — she was so attentive, kind, warm and responsive. Hotel is situated in the perfect location in Urgup with free parking outside (car essential in Cappadocia if you want to see the sites). We could walk to all the local attractions — restaurants, bars, wine tasting, hamam etc. The room was divine — I felt like royalty! We even got engaged in there it was that special.
Breakfast was fab — Turkish breakfast in a cosy breakfast room with great service.
Hotel is happy to arrange all the activities for you and alcohol is also available and can be brought to your room. Also recommend using the transparent dome tent on the terrace — so cosy, can arrange shisha and drinks with a moutain view which is amazing.
Note there was a smell of damp in the room but I felt this was part and parcel of staying in a cave with its own jacuzzi and hot shower. A dehumidifier was provided. It didn't bother us much.

We LOVED this hotel! The cave rooms and hotel were beautiful. It was relatively small (I believe 9 rooms), so it’s an incredibly intimate and personalized experience. The breakfast was included and was our favorite part of the day; enjoying Turkish coffee, tasty food and taking in the scenic views. The staff were wonderful — booking reservations for dinner, excursions and even would bring us snacks and wine on the roof’s heated igloo!

Very friendly staff and prompt service. Felt like staying in somebody’s house. The breakfast was tasty and big. Convenient location. Highly recommend! Also try their original Turkish delight sandwich biscuits. Very yummy! Only downside was a short of toilet paper but you can always be replenished promptly upon request.
