We stayed for 10 nights and it was absolutely amazing. The staff were wonderful, friendly and always accommodating to our requests. The kids club pool was under refurbishment which was disappointing but my neices and nephew loved the kids club itself and were happy swimming in the main pool. Overall, had an incredible experience there and would definitely recommend it.

The perfect hotel if there is money. The usual rooms are great, and the villas, especially Oceanfront Pool, are fantastic. Recommend. Breakfast is standard for a 5-star hotel, painted with a variety of local fruits. There are very few people on the beach, which creates a special romance. It's a very peaceful place. The spa is not recommended, especially long programs, in the tent for massage next to the pool do better and 5-10 times cheaper. By the way, you have to pay for everything, robes and flip flops included in the bill, the prices of the minibar throw another 17%. The account needs to be checked and challenged. Dollars, euros, but with a commission of 10% will be accepted. But the hotel itself and the place are lovely, the design is of a very good level.

Highly recommended. Staff are so courteous and will do their best to meet our request. Clean. Spacious. Beautiful landscape. Great value for money. I m looking forward to come back.

Did not stay at the Renaissance but had lunch and dinner at Takieng on 30/5. Food & service was good. You cannot go wrong with food at Takieng. Simply delicious & divine.

Great view to the Beach.

The Renaissance provides you all you will ever need. The staff is very polite. Breakfast is perfect with a large variaty of food. Pro: Eventhough the hotel was fully occupied, there was air to breath, poolside and beach were available at all times. Downside: beside the resort there is not much to do in the area. Phuket is a long drive. My advise would be, stay here for a maximum of 4-6 days.

Just wow. The hotel complex is beautiful. It's nice and quiet. The airport of Phuket is very close. The people here are infinitely friendly and so sweet. The rooms are all very well equipped including bathtub and shower. The spa is beautiful and I had the best massage I have ever had and the prices for a 5 star hotel are in the frame as you also get the performance. I am enthusiastic about the hotel. The breakfast buffet is simply stunning. There is a huge selection and it changes a little every day. I will definitely come back and can recommend it to anyone.

Very relaxing place. Quite expensive taking into account remoteness from the main villages and cities. But all of that is 100% justified by the huge — several km beach with almost no people. The only problem, which is a Thai disaster I think is jellyfish. We have been in October '16 and April '18. Both time jellyfish problems from Portuguese man-of-war to some other huge local jelly fish. Wife got bitten this April a bit on the leg — not nice. Breakfasts in the hotel — great. One can take a bike for a spin and see phuhet dragons (varans) awesome opportunity.

Very nice Hotel to spend a few days after tour of the north. Magnificent beach. The hotel is isolated from everything and the meals are expensive. The small pool but a bath at night unforgettable.

Wonderful. They have thought of everything and we had a really comfortable and delightful stay. I came with a friend and we both loved have a king bed to ourself in the room. The grounds are gorgeous and it is so peaceful.

Luxury hotel in the best style. The Sandbox is especially lovely by the pool. Great for kids with activities and a family friendly staff. The beach is nice and private feeling but the surf can be a bit rough at times.

As soon as we arrived, we were badly greeted by the staff! The valet did not deign to take our car to park it and filled the bad reception, the security even wanted me to park outside the hotel, incredible! What a lack of class! The staff is poor and does not apply to the service. At the restaurant, were served as in the street the first finished their plate while the last receive their dish… Bof, there are more classy hotels next door, make the right choice.

The bar in the afternoon is different from the bar in the evening. In the evening they as if replace… For the worse (sat on the bar and waited until I ask that I want 15 minutes… And did not wait (breakfast is great, beach is great, towels are great, clean, beautiful, other guests are great, very nice place.

An amazing place for a family holiday! Have it all!

A nice quite resort in the north west Phuket. It is close to the Phuket airport. The beach is clean and nice for a swim. You can see the planes landing from the beach. Evening time is great for sunset photos during clear skies. The resort facilities are good. Great food. If you are looking to have a peaceful time in Phuket and enjoy the Andaman sea, this is the ideal resort. If you are exploring Phuket town then this place is far away from most of the places.

The best hotel we have seen Phuket… it was all perfect… we will be back…

Very nice and quiet hotel, the grounds are very thoughtful, with a soul. Amazed at the level of emotion, although the 3rd time in Phuket.

Great hotel on the magnificent Mai Khao beach. Kilometric beach with warm water. Breakfast very varied with exquisite fruit and juices. To highlight the pool is located in a quiet place, away from the mundane noise.

Nice 5 star resort at northern tip of Phuket island and near the airport. The facility is new and landscaping is beautiful. The message at the beach next to resort is nice and cheap. The breakfast at Taling has a nice view of the beach and recommended for guests wanted more privacy. The kids club is also nice to parents with small children. I would give 5 stars except our room wasn’t cleaned to the 5 star standard as the floor still have sand after cleaning.

The hotel is beautiful and the rooms are very modern and clean. The food is good and the beach is right behind the resort. It might be a bit busy at times so it took awhile for attendants to get you what you requested. Overall it has been a great experience.

Perfect for relaxing. Probably, however, not first choice to get to know the country and its people, but).

Very bad service, the workers speak in a haughty manner and are not respectful.
In addition the restaurants always make orders errors.
Not to mention the countless little animals that circulate in the hotel included the rooms (ants, spiders…).
I don't recommend it to anyone! You will be bored during your stay, we do not see anyone even in the hallways!
Not to mention that there is only one pool in the whole hotel, so it's every day the same thing…
And finally in regards to breakfast, it is not varied at all! And it shows that it is leftovers from the previous day, for example ham, salmon and salami are blackened… Degeulasse!
If I could give 0 star I would have done it! It's really expensive regarding the service they offer.

We really enjoyed the Renaissance. We had the pleasure of staying in a beautiful villa with a private infinity plunge pool. Although there were a few minor issues with items in the room (for example, the outdoor shower head was corroded and didn't work properly) they were negligible. The thing that made the difference here was how great the staff is. Anytime we needed something, there was someone there to help but without being intrusive. Parking was free and easy, right next to the lobby. There is a steam room and jacuzzi in the men's locker room near the fitness center. While there is a spa at the hotel, we really enjoyed the massage stand next door on the grounds of Micky Monkey and watching the sunset while having every joint popped and snapped.

Nice beach view, nice swimming pool, nice room. But very far away from the town and the transfer relied on the shutter bus which is one shift per hour. If you like shopping should not pay more time here but if you just for relaxing it maybe a good choice.

Wonderful resort. We stayed 3 nights, we were upgraded to the pool villa as we are a Platinum member and enjoyed every minute of it. The breakfast is the best breakfast we had in Thailand. On the down side, the restaurants in the resort are a bit pricy and the resort is far from Patong beach.

Super good resort! Enjoyed our 3days 2nights stay with them! Great service, very friendly and warm. Makes you feel like a family and heart-warming ;) The hotel breakfast was really good, lots of choices and the spa was awesome! Tried the oriental massage, one of the best massage i've ever had in Thailand. The room was awesome too. The staffs were sweet to always come by to ask us if things were alright and if we needed anything extra. 15mins drive away from the airport. Very relaxing place to be at especially with access to the private beach :) Highly recommend this place if you want some exclusive relaxing time!

Great resort with warm and hospitable staff. Breakfast is wonderful. You got to buy it when booking. Otherwise, it would cost 6500 baht. My villa has a private pool, a huge quartz tub, indoor and outdoor showers. However, it is very remote on the northern part of the Phuket island, 1 hour away from Royal Phuket marina. 1.5 hours from Patong beach and Phuket Town. Keep this in mind when looking for hotels in Phuket.

We attended a friend's wedding here. Overall the place is quiet, room is spacious, service is good. The location is not near the major city attractions (an hour away from Phuket Town or Patong), and this can be especially annoying if you are looking for affordable food/drinks/massage. Nonetheless the food we had during the few days we stayed was of good quality. Also there was practically no beach activity when we were there.

It's a great place to stay. Property is well maintained. Staff is very helpful. Great beach to spend time and relax. The breakfast buffet was great, the only thing that can be improved is increasing vegetarian items in breakfast buffet as well as in Restaurant. The only downside of the resort is that it's very far from Phuket town and Patong Beach. You need to come 45km to do anything in town.

She had a vacation with her husband at the end of April. Quiet and peaceful place. There's no Turkish noise and a great love. The staff was very friendly and helpful, so there was no communication problem. With exotics: Jashherishhis run straight on the ceiling, crabs walk on the shore of thousands, and cicadas sing all night. The sedately is a bit expensive.

Very nice beach. Good clean. Food prices are overstated, good enough, but expensive.

The villa with the pool is amazing. Two meals a day. The hotel is good, quiet. Restaurants don't meet the price of quality and level. Hotel for newlyweds and recreation for young children. There's nothing for teenagers and young people to do.

Great place to relax. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I want to come back here.

Amazing hotel. Situated in a lovely location, like you are in a tropical paradise. Staff are delightful and are always happy to help. Hotel rooms are very luxurious and the best is very comfortable! Food at the hotel was delicious — at all the restaurants on site! I will definitely miss the breakfast, which is by far one of the best I have had (fresh fruit, freshly made to order fried eggs, and even noodle soup! ) Would 100% come back!

Located in a relatively newer and less developed part of Phuket Island, the Renaissance offers a less intense experience of the island. You get the upside (as compared to going closer to Patong Beach) of having more family and couple type vacationers and without the heavy touts. The downside though is the lack of dining options and amenities such as supermarkets. They are available, just that it take some effort to find and get to. Fortunately the hotel makes up for this with excellent and attentive service and a reasonably wide range of facilities and activities. Nothing particularly unique in their offerings though, with the pool being more of a medium sized lap pool and a gym that is none too big. Functional and adequate sums it up nicely I think. The hotel is part of the Marriott group. Marriott is very prominent is the area with several brands under the group in Mai Khao. This brings some benefits such as a shuttle service across the various hotels and also to the nereby "mall", a rather sleepy Mai Khao Plaza that is host to some bars, small shops, we extremely pricy supermarket and of course, the Marriott time share sales office. Great for a quiet get away, but not for the young and energetic crowd looking for a party atmosphere.

The site is very nice and cozy, but I believe has two major drawbacks… (1) all or the most of the services of the hotel are of payment, and is quite expensive in comparison with them prices of the area. (2) the beach is not very welcoming, not invited to the bathroom. There are surf and currents quite frequently.

Loved my stay here. Big thumbs up. We had a rental car and took side trips out and about in the northern part of the island and part of Phang Nga. We stayed in a separate hotel in southern Phuket to see the sights down there. I would recommend others do the same since it is a bit of a haul from this hotel to the southern side.

Would highly recommend. Very lovely staff, wonderful service, went to great lengths to make sure all requests were met. Beautiful position on the beach, best resort in Thailand!

The hotel is so far quite beautiful however far away. The rates for shuttle and transport too expensive.
The prices in the restaurant extremely expensive for Thailand. (Beer €6, dinner buffet € 65, …) rooms are modern, clean but little shaded beach. Mainly Russian CästeWir would come a second time.

Environment elegant scenery. The hotel the Bar was very good. Services week.

Went there with my wife for a friend's wedding. Would have been a pleasant experience until the end where the hotel mixed up our passport during check in and gave us another couple's passport which nearly caused us to miss our flight. To be fair they did call me after I landed and apologised and would send me an email with hotel points and others for all the troubles but 2 weeks later and still nothing. Really disappointed coming from a well regarded international hotel, not what I expected at all.

Very nice hotel with great rooms and staff. Only drawback, we were sick from the buffet but the little thai restaurant is great nearby.

We were welcomed with a refreshing beverage (can't reveal the ingredients, it's a house blend) when we arrived. Check in was quick and smooth and our room was close to the café where breakfast is served. Huge bathroom n bathtub was a big plus for me. And there was a lovely fruit platter at the turndown service on the 1st day. The restaurant served up a really good phad thai! Service overall had been nothing short of excellent. Except for the location which is far from everything else — 1 hr to Phuket town and even further for patong beach — it had been a really pleasant stay. Btw, charges apply per person for shuttle service to town and patong beach.

Great hotel, it really give honor to its name. Staff is really friendly and the rooms are very good. Food is not great but it will satisfy you. Only 2 downpoints, pool is really small, the hotel location is far from everywhere. Other than that, you will enjoy the time in the hotel.

Sweet hotel. The cabanas with private pool are amazing, total relaxation. Staff is kind and helpful. Sandy bar is beautiful especially during sunset with an excellent restaurant upstairs. The oceanfront pool is tiny, not so great but you come for the clean blue ocean waters. Back pool is the better option. *smaller hotel, not too many rooms *good food and cocktails on site if you want to camp at the hotel.

I thought it may be too boring here and stayed for two days in the city center before coming here, which was not so relaxing and hotel not so great in all aspects. At the same price, this place is a couple of grades higher in terms of hotel experience. Standard type room is nothing too fancy but better food, better staff, better overall feeling. This is the place of choice for retreat and for family. Go to hotels in the city center only if you want party.

What a great place to stay! The resort is simply stunning, very clean and beautiful rooms. The staff is very friendly and helpful. When you stay here you will understand why everybody is raving about their breakfast, never had a breakfast like that before! The resort is not overcrowded like lots of other resorts in Phuket, it is close to the airport in a quieter area but there is still a lot to do. We got married at The Renaissance and were delighted with our choice, all our guests loved it as well. We can highly recommend the Renaissance.

Absolutely fantastic stay. We split our time between the Renaissance and Sri Panwa (for a wedding). For pure visuals and indulgence its hard to beat Sri Panwa, However, you would hope so for the cost!. But having said that we were actually happy to return to the Renaissance. The layout and vibe for the hotel just feels more friendly and fun. It makes you want to be out and about enjoying the pools and the bars. The staff are amazing. Nothing is too much to ask. We are looking forward to a stay in the future. The only catch is that it is north of the airport and most Tourist "attractions" are south on the Island. But when a Taxi is 400Bht an hour. It doesn't cost that much to get around anyway.

Recently visited this resort 10/2 — 10/12, enjoyed a wonderful experience. Thanks to so many of the staff. Mina, Seazy, Sam, Song, Sunni and so many others. You are all great.

You can't miss Sala breakfast. They serve you varity of food like Thai and international food. Sala pool villa don't like any resort pool villa, its pool is so long and deep. If you have children with you, be careful them. This resort is very private that is so far from Phuket city.

Check in wasn't as smooth as I thought. They messed up one of our booking with a single king size bed instead of two smaller size bed. The pool side restaurant has a lot of flies. You can't even eat there. The room wasn't as new as pictured. The only up side is that the resort is next to a very nice clean beach which is not crowded. The complimentary massage is great. So good that I bought another 90mins. Service in the resort was extremely slow and not attentive. They made mistakes a lot and everything they did seemed like their first time.
