After several years I've stayed away from Phuket (Patong) I returned in February 2019 to see Ulf and his gay homestay. It was such a pleasant experience that I returned again in April to this cozy and chilling place and enjoyed again the warm hospitality. With other guest together we did some joined adventures to Laem sing and surin beach. We had a fantastic dinner at the Thong dee which I will never forget, 8 people 8 Nations. Finally I will change my residence from Surat Thani to Phuket thanks to Ulf who showed me some good sides of Phuket still exist's.

Incredible experience I had at this place. Located just 3.5km from Patong beach which is very easy to get there. Ulf is such a good guy who helped in all, he and the guy who workes there is so friendly and can help you in everything you need. Totally recomend.

How to say that in this place you really don't feel to be a client, but only a friend visiting? The accommodation is perfect, breakfast just amazing! And the location just great if you're looking for a quiet place after having seen Patong…

This is the best place. Even if you can not speak Thai, English or Swedish. Ulf, Boy, local people, guests are very kind. The hotel is far from Patong beach, but there is no problem. I can easily move with Grabtaxi, tuk-tuk. There are many places in the vicinity of the hotel where you can eat delicious meals. It would be nice to take a walk around the hotel. You can see nature's banana flower, fruit. You can see fireflies in the evening.

Great food. Relaxed atmosphere. Friendly conversation. Interesting people to meet. An enjoyable evening out.

A fantastic week end is over. We had a wonderful stay at Phuket Gay Homestay enjoying the great hospitality of Boy and Ulf.

I had a very lovely stay at Phuket Gay Homestay. Ulf and Boy were gracious hosts who really made I felt like home. I used one of their bicycles to roam around the area a little bit. I was informed that there's a great bicycle track around a reservoir. Unfortunately the weather didn't permit me to do that, but biking enthusiasts will definitely want to check it out. At first I was a bit concerned about the location. 3 km away from Patong beach but then I realized that the location gave me enough distance from the crazy Patong while being close enough to call a grab taxi to go there. Travelling from the homestay to the Phuket city is also convenient. When I return to Phuket Homestay I will definitely rise early to ride a bike from the homestay into town. Boy was away for business but Ulf took care of me well and was very informative. One of the things that guests would like to do during breakfast is perhaps to talk to Ulf. I personally found his knowledge of LGBTQ in Thailand very impressive. One can say that Ulf is a living LGBT chronicle who can tell you so much about the history of gay acitivism and entertainments in Phuket as well as in Bangkok, after living in the country for a few decades. It's definitely a pleasant stay! It felt more like staying with a cousin rather than in a hotel for me. I will need to come back! Another factor worthy of being mentioned is the fact that the swimming pool is so private that if you wish you could just sunbathe naked.

Really nice and friendly place. Nice pool for relaxing. Owner are so helpful, nothing are impossible. I love this homestay.

Wonderful quiet location yet close to Patong and Phuket town. This is a "men only" accommodation in a 5 bedroom pool villa. It can host a maximum of 10 persons. There is a swimming pool, stream sauna. You can rent motorbikes and bicycles. On Sundays there is a popular gay gathering with dinner starting at 5 PM and finish at 10 PM. This is a great place to meet other tourists, locals and expats in a safe and relaxed environment. The owners regularly arrange different outings to beaches, dinners, shopping or Patong nightlife.

Great place to stay in Phuket. Excellent location for getting around the island and 10 minutes from the a Patong frenzy. Clean, well run homestay with a lovely pool. Owners Ulf and Boy are very welcoming and helpful.

This is the second time I've attended Ulf's Saturday BBQ Pool Party and his place is absolutely beautiful. It's a beautiful Villa on the hills on Neramit with its own salt water swimming pool. Great food, great drinks and great people to socialize with a such a beautiful place. Definitely will be back here when I'm in Phuket next.

Five stars. Very relaxing ambience, very cordial, accommodating staff, clean, sizeable room, good security, great location away from the hustle and bustle of Patong but easily accessible. Good breakfast included. A home away from home. Bravo Boy and Ulf.
