I never do reviews but feel compelled to do so after my stay here. A very nice local family owns the hostel, not some foreigner. They make fresh breakfast items at home and bring them in for us every day, rather than just putting out toast and cereal which is a hostel staple. They have filtered water to fill your bottles, laundry, AC, plush towels, hot water if you desire it for showers and it’s incredibly clean (no bed bugs! ). The beds are new but they are hard which would be the only thing making this a 9.8 rather than a 10 — but that’s really nit picking. They don’t try to push anything on you but politely offer to help you set up your excursions or cabs. It’s in a sleepy town 20 minutes from Ao Nang which I loved. Close enough to cab to Ao Nang but without the crowds, noise, or loud packed beaches full of hawkers. Klong Muang has a beautiful, quiet beach to walk on and enough restaurants and a little beach side bars to make anyone happy. There is a money exchange in town with good rates and a 7-11 for any basic needs. It was voted the best hostel and best small hotel when it opened in 2016 and I can see why. When I return to Thailand in the future I will go out of my way to come back to the Reset Hostel.
