A good place to stay at klong toab beach. Nice and cheap.

I've stayed in the area for one month and this is by far the best quality and value Thai restaurant. The service is prompt and friendly. The food contains NO MSG. Ma Ma Dang cooks everything herself using the freshest ingredients and original authentic recipes where others cut corners for convenience and to cut costs. I've eaten here for at least one meal every day during my visit. Delicious.

Best Thai food on main road at klong toab, good people and good price.

This place has some serious hygiene issues. We stayed in the "Deluxe double room with bath" and it was terrible. The aircon and fridge were moldy inside, it was not only disgusting but also a health hazard. Besides that the furniture was old and worn and had an unpleasant smell, it looked like the room was not even cleaned before we arrived. The floor was sandy, the bedding stained and the towels torn. The windows were not clean and couldn't be closed properly, and there were dead insects on the walls and window panes. The curtains were stained like they have never been washed. The picture that was supposed to hang on the wall above the bed fell off and no one fixed it, and the wall paint came off in a few places. There was a thick cover of dust under the bed. The room had a view of abandoned balconies and jungle. The beach was not close and was full of waste. Breakfast would have been okay if it hadn't been served on stained plates and cutlery. The owner seemed friendly when we arrived, but when we told her the room was dirty and that we wanted to leave, her attitude changed. When we proposed her to have a look at the room herself, she just said no and laughed at us. We left after the first night.

Nice hotel… cozy, clean and especially the housekeeper did it to us. The kindest woman who can tell you all your desires from the eyes. Recommended!

Loving Ma Ma Dang, s, the rooms are equipped with A/C, loads of room for hanging clothes, fridge, t. V with lots of channels and large double bed. Bathroom is large with bath and stand in shower, now it is on the main road to the shops and restaurants but we found it pretty quiet and peaceful at nights to people watch, it doesn't have a pool or entertainment BUT you can get that at Lanta beach resort just down the road, just buy a drink + you can use their amenities. Ma Ma Dang is AWESOME we absolutely loved her, she can sort bike hire cheaply, excursions and transport to your next location all done on a budget. Now you gota eat a few times (if not all your time) at Ma Ma Dang, s she is the BEST cook on koh Lanta she takes pride in her cooking and if you want anything from fish, chicken, pork dishes just let her know what you want + she will source the best ingredients for you + believe me we stayed here for 5 days, most of the time we ate at Ma Ma Dang, s. We've just had the most flavoursome steak, home made gravy + roasted potatoes I've ever had! Ma Ma greeted us on arrival with this butterfly drink and ice and noticed I was limping so moved our room so I didn't have to get up so many steps. We are sad to leave but we know we will definitely be back. So basic accommodation but clean and tidy, nr the main street but not in it and the BEST food we've had in Thailand. We love you Ma Ma Dang and will be back.
