Great place and location very friendly staff with added bonus of a great new German restaurant next door.

Can't complain about this hotel and its provisions. Basic amenities, immaculately clean rooms, outstanding multilingual service, and complimentary snacks and water. Great location for touring Chiang Mai, as well, especially if you use Mobike!

Stayed here on 3 separate occasions and the standard of cleanliness should be complimented. The rooms and public areas are clean and well maintained. You can't ask for more for the rates charged. More importantly, their staff, and in particular, Ms Yu is very helpful and polite. Above all, she can converse in the English Language competently. I strongly recommend those who wish to have a pleasant stay in Chiang Mai to consider Montha Hotel. Kudos to all staff and keep up your excellent service!

Great staying in Chiang Mai! Great and very clean rooms. Quiet alley next to the busy street connecting the old town with the evening market. Coffee, thea, water and biscuits at the lounge. Very friendly, helpful staff!

Hello new and comfortable with a very large and comfortable bed. It is close to many places of interest to walk to the night market, to the east Gate… It is very quiet for how close this is to the bars. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Fantastic location for a hotel. It is located in an alleyway but the short walk to the night markets makes up for it. A short walk meaning a short 6-7 minute walk. The night market has tons to buy and loads to eat. Parking lot is across the street. We hired a motorbike through the hotel and the only issue we had was that it wasn't the right model that I chose. It was okay though because the CC was the same anyways but wished that we got what we requested for. The rooms do have ants crawling on the table so beware of that. There are no elevators in the hotel nor do they have telephones as well. The cows in front were very interesting. Other than that, this hotel is fantastic if you're staying a couple of days and on a budget.

Great location, clean rooms with big bathrooms for its price. Wi-Fi is ok. Very near Night Bazaar and walkable distance to the Tha Phae wall and Big C at Pantip Mall. High recommended.

We stayed at the Hotel Montha several times already and everytime we were very happy. The rooms are very nice with everything that is needed and the staff is very helpful. Also the location is great, next to Loi Kroh rd. And the night-bazaar, still very quiet at night.

10 — 15 mins walk to night bazaar or old city. Budget, quiet and clean room. Highly recommended.

Rooms functionally furnished. Shortcoming : no wardrobe or shelf for clothes etc. 4 hangers on a mini bar. Also no cupboard with drawer next to the beds. You really didn't know where to go with your stuff.
However, we recommend the hotel room despite the lack of accommodation.

A+ hotel GREAT PLACE — FOR VEGANS! (Or vegetarians). The hotel is large, clean, friendly staff, and the absolute best location. Within 10 minutes walking of 5 different vegetarian/vegan restaurants! Totally randomly discovered that. I just wanted to stay central and pet friendly. But hey! Lucked out!

Close to night Bazar area, cheap and clean, friendly staff at reception. Matrace was very hard.

The rooms are big and clean. The location is close to everything. I have been to this hotel in 3 different occasions. The first experience was great. However, I'm not sure what has happened since then. The staff needs more training on resolving common sense issues. The customer service has declined a little. Not sure if it's because it's high season. The last two visits left me with a slightly bad experience. Booking/room problems not resolved, and staying in the patio room, which I don't recommend. There's no privacy in the patio room. I feel like I'm on exhibition with only a glass wall separating me and the street. I may NOT consider this place next time I'm in chiangmai.

A bright and colourful hotel that shines brightly compared to the bars and shops along the road. The neighbourhood can be a little noisy but it's still quiet in the room. Location is a short walk to night bazaars. Room was clean and quite spacious. I got one on the ground floor and I think the drainage might be a little clogged as the smell of stale stagnant water would seep out of the bathroom. The smell clears once your run some water though, but leave the room for a day and it starts to come back. Didn't really bother me much as it didn't seep into the whole room. Loved the staff. All I met were extremely helpful and friendly. Also loved the small little snack corner at the lobby. The pineapple biscuits were yummy!

It's a great, new hotel, it's been open for almost a year. It's worth a visit to Chiang Mai, a quiet hotel.

We stayed yesterday at the Montha Hotel in Chiang Mai. It was pure pleasure. The Montha is in a quiet side lane, conveniently located in the center of town, near the restaurants, shops and bars of Loi Kroh and the night bazaar. The rooms have a modern design, they are very clean, inexpensive and equipped with everything necessary to make for a pleasant stay. We will be staying there again when coming to Chiang Mai.
