Super nice hotel with the real Thai feeling and ambiance. Nicely located on the banks of the ping river. Spa is great, food is superb, staff very friendly. A special thank you to Khun Bowy. Very humble and friendly and she came on the last day to bring me a nice xmas present. Rooms are spacious with a terrace or a balcony. Whenever in Chiang Mai we will definitely stay here again.

Very good, highly recommend and comeback again soon!

The room was clean, the staff was very nice, but the spa price was a little high compared to the service, but overall I was impressed.

After checkout 2days someone keep calling me from this hotel and told me that I didn’t pay for afternoon tea. That not my mistake if they not careful with the bills. And they shouldn’t call me during my honeymoon! This experience made me feel unsafe. Any staff can call me and asked for bill? Btw. We spent lots of money and ordered every meal during we were in this hotel. We want safe and relax!

I’m highly recommend this hotel for anyone who want to stay in town and also feeling like escaping from the city. I love the design of anatara, classy and modern tropical. Also the staff here was very kind and helpful. The food is good tho.

Great location. All of staff helpful and friendliness.

The hotel design is perfect for guest staying in their suite. From the picture, its seem like the normal hotel design but it’s very good in their function and practical. The bar is beyond! The food is delicious and their happy hour is very long from 5.30-8pm!

Amazing place, staff are the most tranquil place I have ever been, the staff cannot do enough for you, and if you are lucky enough to have this angel Premphan around the swimming pool count yourself extremely lucky, he made our holiday! what a diamond he is, this hotel is very lucky to have him work here. Have to all say all the staff were lovely.

Just the loveliest hotel! Staff are super friendly, helpful and thoughtful, anticipating what you might need almost before you’ve even thought about it let alone asked for it. The building and it’s history is incredible and cleverly interwoven into the whole hotel theme so it feels unique, not formulaic, friendly, warm and welcoming. Would thoroughly recommend. You won’t want to leave here!

5 out of 5 stars for this resort! Incredibly comfortable rooms, outstanding food & pool, and top notch service from all of the staff. Also short walking distance to the night market, restaurants, & local spas. I’m definitely returning for another stay!

Great resort, in the river, every morning can eat breakfast by the river, very comfortable, very close to the ancient city area, convenient location, but also very leisurely. All the hotel staff are Nice, attentive, whispering and Chinese. It's a relaxing vacation.

Great experience, I have been to The Service 1921 restaurant. Their cuisines are excellence. Also got a complimentary drinks and birthday brownies. Highly recommended to celebrate special moment with your special one.

Extremely friendly staff and wonderful service. Great tranquil resort right in the centre of the action in Chang Mai. Next to the night markets and just a 10 minute walk from the old city. The hotel also has great food and a gym; which overlooks the river. I've had a lovely 3 night stay here and would definetly recommend.

An incredible hotel. 5+ stars. Great food, sensational pool, excellent spot to reach the old city and historic temples. A little out of the tourist rut but still easy to access lots of places. The breakfast menu and smorgasbord is one of the best around. Sensational staff, kind, helpful and go out of their way to help you. I can't say enough good things other than I will definitely visit again.

Visited for a spa afternoon and dinner and drinks, did not stay in the hotel rooms. The grounds are gorgeous and the spa is AMAZING. For 2.5 hour service we had our own private spa suite complete with 2 saunas and a huge soaking tub. Restaurant has great views and service but the food and cocktails are not remarkable. Nice for a romantic evening but would not go back for the food.

Service was flawless. I need to mention our special thanks to Maggie, the manager that helped co-ordinate our event on 16 December 2017. She went above and beyond and assisted us in having the perfect wedding, especially answering our questions at all hours of the day prior to our stay. They also helped us with the door gifts and placing the ribbons on the chairs, although they didn't have to. Also, we accidentally left our phone charger in the room and Maggie kindly offered to drop it off at our next hotel. We made two trips to Chiangmai in 2016 and visited Anantara both times, prior to settling on Anantara as our dinner venue and the food was consistently excellent on every trip. The close proximity of Anantara to the night bazaar means that everything we needed was just a close walk away. Our guests who stayed at Anantara truly enjoyed their stay with you guys too and will have no doubts recommending Anantara CM to our friends and family. The spa was magical. You start with a 'consultation' with the therapist so that they can understand your expectations — which areas you want more to work on and which you want to avoid. Of course, the linens, etc. Were clean and spotless. I could feel the knots in the shoulders disappear, it felt like 5 kgs were taken off my back in just 2 hours. AMAZING! The rooms were clean, modern and spacious. Waking up to the Ping River is also wonderful.

The new opening, in the Chiangmai area is a very good hotel! The room is large and comfortable, suitable for a four-port size, the restaurant by the riverside afternoon Tea meal ordinary, 2 floor Thai Restaurant The service 1921 meals delicious, but also Chinese food.

Best hotel in Chiang Mai. Breakfast in front of Mae Ping river, super large and beautiful room, warm hospitality, great swimming pool, enjoyable spa, also walking distance to anusarn night market for shopping and dine. Love! one of the best hotel in Chiang Mai.

Very customer oriented! The staff is very helpful and all cater to your every need. Conveniently located close to all the street markets and Airport.

Fabulous hotel and fabulous restaurant. Highly recommended for those special times. For corporates they have a brand new, state of the art conference room with media wall. Fantastic facility right by the river!

We enjoyed a wonderful meal at The Service 1921 restaurant. A very extensive menu of thai food and impeccable service. Jane looked after us very well. The hotel grounds are beautiful and the original house (now the restaurant) is stunning.

Only had drinks at their bar but some of the best cocktails I've had. Definitely the best I've had in Chiang Mai.

Generally our stay at the service suites was satisfactory. The staff was really patient with our endless questions for recommendations. Our only disappointment with the property was that the swimming pool at the roof top was super cold and I don’t understand why we can’t use the resort pool which was way warmer. At least be flexible during the cold season.
We had the spa and our therapists Ken and Pin were excellent and the experience was perfect.

Located one side on the river and the other a busy road, the beautiful foyer is the first thing you really notice, that and the lovely welcoming staff. The room we staying in was spacious and charming as was dinner the first night in the Thai cuisine restaurant in the original house with the secret door… very ‘Kingsman’. Breakfast was lavish as Anantara seem to do, although I think this was one of the most lavish I’ve been to, capped off with sitting outside next to the river… pretty perfect!

It was ok but service is spotty. They offered a shitty 30 min welcome foot massage which was so bad — but it was offered for free so I did not mind. Then I got this email from Vincent Leutwiler and the nerve of this guy to tell me he is canceling my other spa booking at Siam Kempinski because I already availed of their cheap 30 minute offer. This was not even explained upon check in otherwise I would not have availed of it. I tried to explain to this guy over the phone and he kind of shrugged me off. Anantara still has a long way to work on genuine customer care esp. The discerning ones like me who has tried Four Seasons, Ritz Carlton & Park Hyatt. Needs improvement.

Rooms are large enough for 2 people. Ideal location for shopping because it is just 5 minute walk away from Anusarn Night Market. Great place to enjoy and relax. (Dec 2017)

Amazing service, beautiful piece of property and as much zen as you want. Breakfast was delicious with a buffet and food to order. Spa was amazing and the staff was the most helpful I’ve ever experienced.

Amazing hotel with good food and good service beside a river. Architecture is also fantastic. I like the sofa at the front. It's just center of the city so a little bit noisy during the day.

We stayed in a 2 bedroom suites for 3 nights. Staff service at the hotel is outstanding. In house washer/dryer is a plus. Close to the Chiang mai old town and also the bazaar market (walking distance)

We have dinner for Valentine's Day in the restaurant of Anantara Chiang Mai Resort. The resort itself is already an experience — beautiful to look at! The ' Valentine package ' with welcome drink, food and rose for the lady was very nice and good — priced but of course on 5-star level. But this would not be a reason to make a deduction!

Star Service hotel, leisure, quiet, leaving the night market only need 5-6 minutes away, leaving the airport only 15 minutes away, the hotel also has massage shop opposite, walk to open food square only need 10 minutes, hotel staff smile polite.

Near the center of Chiang Mai and there are many interested place and very nice scenery around like Chaimongkol Temple. You can enjoy your coffee or your drink next to the Ping river etc.

What a beautiful resort to relax. What a great breakfast to enjoy. What a pity is going to pay $999 to use sauna and steam room.

The location, the staff and obviously the food are all perfect. It's just a dinner with a friend to celebrate my 4th anniversary of my transfer in Chiang Mai. But everything are so amazing. We ate banana blossom salad with prawns, grilled eggplant with crab meat, spring roll and chinese duck. Every dish is very original for taste and presentation.
The staff surprise me with a complimentary chocolate cake to celebrate the occasion of 4th anniversary in Chiang Mai.

A modern setting with old touches pool terrace on the floor or on the edge of the Pink River. English wine room and private dining rooms as a couple with friends place in the centre of Chiangmai a few steps from the night Bazaar to see Anet especially to admire its magnificent interior architecture and its cuisine very diversified by a service Excellent.

Unique hotel in CNX for the architectural blend of contemporary and historic structures. Rooms are quite spacious, as are the grounds. Very nice pool if there aren't noisy kids playing in it. Mosquitoes are a persistent annoyance, but the hotel provides sprays. Stay here if there's a good promo rate, and avoid seasons when it's overrun with mainland Chinese families.

Beautiful hotel and so charming in its colonial style. The restaurant's hidden private room is a joy to discover, the creativity and playful theme in the bar and restaurant is brilliant and everything from the staff's uniforms to the service were excellent. Do remember to research the history of the hotel or ask a member of staff to share it with you. Location is lovely on the river (do note not all rooms have river views! ) And it is easy to take a walk around the neighbourhood.

Beautiful Property! Great afternoon tea! Great view of the River also! Historical buildings with very nice interior design. (Formally known as The Chedi Chiang Mai) Definitely recommend.
