I’m staying here at the moment in one of the renovated rooms. They are very nice but need some improvements.
1) more drawer space.
2) bedside cabinets with drawers instead of bedside tables.
I have one very big complaint, the Wi-Fi is abysmal, one minute you have speeds of 23 meg then the next minute you have zero.
Very unreliable.
On the plus side the breakfast is excellent and you can fuel up for the day if you so choose.
The only downside with breakfast is the times, 6:30am to 9:30am.

We had a great stay. Very friendly staff. Nice 2 pools and good food. The location is perfect. We'll be back in January.

This hotel is in a great position in Pattaya. The newly renovated Marble restaurant is much. Nicer to sit& eat in the evening.

Very nice hotel. If you will follow ur navigation so that mall is not very far away. U can walk n easily reached there.

Have stopped here in January for the past 3 years travelling on from UK to Australia and having a break in between both ways and found the staff and quality of service superb. There is nothing at all to complain about. Rooms have always been spotless. Staff are polite and extremely amiable. Nancy who runs the whole shebang is always about and approachable to assist with anything to help you out to make your stay that little bit extra. Must admit it is my favourite hotel in all the places I've been worldwide.

A friend of mine was staying at this hotel. The rooms were clean and quite large with full tubs in the bathrooms. The hotel is well kept up and has a decent sized car park. The staff were friendly and the pool looked good. It is conveniently located near public transport, shopping malls and reasonably priced places to eat and drink.

Well-appointed room in Corona part of hotel, however AC was inadequate for my family's comfort level for it took nearly two hours until the room became cool enough to relax in. Two lovely pools and attentive staff are present to ensure everything is enjoyable. In terms of value, it is overpriced (in low season) but nevertheless it's a hotel I would recommend.

Showing its age yet room rates are high for this type of accommodation. There are more modern newer hotels with great breakfast close by for same or less room rates. Currently advertising cheap rooms but only a few are at this rate.

I enjoyed my stay here. The rooms are basic and the hotel is older but very well maintained. The pool is on the small side but very clean with many places to sit poolside. Convenient location not too far from. 2nd Road and one of the better 3 star hotels in Pattaya.

Excellent Breakfast, 2 great Swimming Pools, In the Centre of Pattaya, Ample Parking Areas, Good Sized Rooms, Hotel has entrances from 2 Roads which makes it convenient.

We love staying here, clean and good size rooms, two big clean pools, friendly staff, great buffet breakfast. Would highly recommend.

Rooms were really nice and they were great value for money. All the staff appeared very professional and a member of my group was there for his birthday, and the staff left him a nice present in his room to say happy birthday. Very pleased all in all.

Well maintained, somewhat older hotel in the middle of the night life. Can definitely recommend. Breakfast is also very good. Unfortunately, this is only available until 9.30 o'clock.

Great hotel but the swimming pool is not designed to contain all the guests so it was very crowded. Other than that I highly recommend this hotel. Nice food and great rooms.

Nice Hotel in central Pattaya, clean rooms, provide shampoo, shower gel, towels, coffee and tea in the room on a daily basis. There are 2 pools, visitors a little. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfasts from 6.30 to 9.30, you can always choose to your liking. Walking Street 20-25 minutes on foot, if not in a hurry. Near The hotel there are pharmacies, exchangers, shops, cafes and bars. There is a hairdryer In the rooms. The Only thing-paid for the New Year's dinner at 2200 baht per person, but the alcohol was not included. The Show program is boring. There Was a buffet. The Hotel is quiet and the rooms are air conditioned.

Check-in service seems to have deteriorated significantly in recent months. I stay fairly regularly in the Evergreen wing of the hotel. Even after repeated stays, there is no acknowledgement or apparent record of my details in their system. Breakfast is adequate but any coffee beyond stale pot coffee, is charged separately. The rooms are a decent size, but it hardly qualifies as value for money.

Hotel is fine, have stayed there every November for 8 years, however every year they play with the Wi-Fi and every year it gets worse. This year I had to bu a local sim card for communications. I asked the hotel to look in to the problem and nothing happened.

Extremely clean, cool rooms which are exactly what you need after spending the day walking around in Pattaya. Very close to the beach although the beach isn't a place I would recommend. There are a lot of close-by restaurants, shops, a mall, and mini marts. The staff are one of the best I've ever met. I would also suggest making good use of the breakfast because it's some of the best food you'll eat in Thailand (I don't like Thai food)

Good hotel with great location. Service was excellent and room was super clean. Only minus was that they have their best and biggest swimming pool under maintenance when I stay, but not long time anymore it's in full operaton again and customer can use it soon. Breakfast goes little bit down too. Not same selection of western food like earlier years I stay in Areca. Anyway Areca is really good place to stay in holiday and I'm happy and thankfull for good service I get for people working in Areca.

I have stayed here a few time my second time in the patio suite which is awesome, my only complaint is the Wi-Fi which is the worst I have come across, fix this problem and the place is perfect.

Not as great as the reviews say. The service is mediocre at best. Drinks ordered at pool bar never came, but were certainly added to the bill. Told waiter before re-ordering that I had ordered but not received, then when go to pay it's on the bill and 3 of them gang up on me saying I got the drink and demanded payment. Asked for manager and got the time honoured excuse of manager not here. This place is way to big to not have some management onsite. Asked for extra towels in room, again not delivered. Wifi was HORRIBLE, asked many times for help and was told it's working etc. Even asked if the password had changed, was told no it was same, then the next morning was told, oh yes it has changed. E-mailed management after the bar incident, they called once and said I needed to come to front desk now. I said no I was still sleeping. Then went later. No manager of course. Asked for a refund to the Areca discount group I had joined when booking (which they demand cash payment for on check in, no CC). They never responded… I turned in my card when checking out — told them to give it to the manager — still never heard back from management. There are a ton of options in Pattaya, try any other hotel than the Areca. You can't have a worse experience than here. So might as well try somewhere else and get better.

I have been staying here regularly over the past ten years. Great value for money and cant fault the facilities. Love both of the pools as well as the buffet breakfast. Great location and not too far from the various hot spots. Back tgere again in May and cannot wait.

Poor value for money, lots of similar hotels with similar amenities for half the price. Corner de lux room has a balcony with only room for 1 chair, not a real shower, just a spray over the bath. Ok, but compare alternatives first.

Solid fourth, by Thai standards, of course. The room is spacious, cleaned daily, Hairdryer, free Wi-Fi, and the beds were very comfortable hard mattress. Geckos, cockroaches, rats and other animals was not observed.

The hotel is very good. The downside is that in the next room was taken over by the Thais and I have 3 nights do not sleep. Today I will pytatsya to move. Up to this point I was sooooo pleased with the hotel.

This is the hotel to stay in if your looking for a warm and welcoming place. Good and secure, with friendly staff, rooms made daily and not rushed, nice view over the pool, generous size rooms, great breakfast and within easy walking distance to everything. "Highly Recommend" Evergreen Wing, this building is one of 3 buildings within the development, and is to the rear, so it's nice and quiet.

The numbers are decent. Wi-fi in my room only works in the bathroom.

Good hotel, very good service. Not too pretty view from the room to the backyard, but that's ok. :) Good walking distanse to the beach, even though Pattaya is a crappy place we just stayed for 2 nights. :).
