Hometown Hostel Hostel

A good escape from the city! About 20 minutes driving to the Floating Market and 2 minutes walking to the train market. Fast Wi-Fi and chill zone on the second level, plus roof for a view over the town. Hospitality was wonderful and the host speaks great English. Beds are a little hard and the mattresses are covered in plastic, so every time you move in bed all your roommates can hear. Bring earplugs. I took the minibus for 90B from ekkamai station.

Great place for the price. The hostel is really nice with a lovely common room. The bedroom is very small but clean and with AC. Breakfast included.

Me and my friends stayed in this hostel last September 2017 and Yui was extremely accommodating and super friendly. She gave us great ideas that we can go within Samut Songkhram and it was awesome adventure for DIYs even though we stayed just one night. The hostel was also great! We were able to sleep well like we are the only guests. Not to mention the fastest internet they offer. Wow! Hope we could stay back in. If only I could rate 10 =)

That’s a place with a great owner and very helpful. She just answered quickly my questions before getting there and from the beginning I felt like my stay will be great. I was right. The location is just fantastic and close to main places. You have a night market next door for food and the rooms are so comfortable, clean and fast Wi-Fi. I love the toilet area. Very clean and so cute. A bit darker… during the night. But that’s not a big deal! The breakfast is so good. You feel very well feed. I loved it and I highly recommend everyone to stay here. You won’t be regretted.

The hospitality is super! They are super friendly. I guarantee this is more than just a hostel.

We had a private room (rather small but very comfortable) with shared bathrooms. This hostel is really well located, near the night market where there are a lot of cheap eating options. Breakfast is included in the room price — toast, butter, jam, tea and coffee and fruits.

Had a great two nights here. Rooms not too big but perfect to just get your head down and they couldn't have been any cleaner. Absolutely spotless! The lady who runs it is really lovely and friendly. She took me and my friend to a festival and it was brilliant. And drinks on the roof was great fun! Definitely recommend 5

The interior is very nice There is no air conditioning. There's soap. Paying 20 baht You can have a towel. There's laundry service. There is a big breakfast and a choice of the price. And especially the hostess of the hostel is very kind, it explains very well and with the smile How to reach the places, what to visit, and also came to pick me up in the car in the evening to the floating market! And without asking me any extra money! He left me open-mouthed. If I go back to Thailand I will find it for sure!

A terrible place where they make you eat until you die. Don’t go here if you want to have great coffee in the morning and a host that makes your experience everything you wanted it to be. Thank you so much for your hospitality I will definitely be back. This hostel really emphasizes the “home” in hometown hostel.

Excellent service and staff! Very hospitable and helpful with finding things to do around town.

The only hostel in the town. I arrived at 9pm with a friend and we rented a very small room which had a bunk bed and just enough room to stand in front of the bed. This cost 500 baht between us (so 250 each). The room was a bit basic and the walls were thin (just made of plywood). The beds were comfortable but not soft. There was a light and plug for each bed, and really good AC for the room. The hostel is obviously trying to hit the indie spot, and is perhaps trying a little to hard, but none the less it's nice decorated in the communal areas. Breakfast is included but simply consists of toast and a couple of choices for hot beverages. There's a spot outside on the road where you can park a bike. A lock was provided for me so I could secure the bike to a bar outside. I would defiantly stay here again. The couple of staff I saw were very friendly and welcoming. The price was okay but I would like to see cheaper prices for solo travellers.

This hostel is awesome, extremely clean and functional. Natpreeya is an excellent host, very friendly and easy going. She knows Thailand inside-out so she can give you hints according to your travelling style and preferences. The hostel is located 3 minutes walk from the railway market and bus station. Will definitely come back.

Fern the owner of this hostel is fantastic. She is enthusiastic and passionate and extremely generous. The hostel is clean as a whistle and the showers hot and the bedrooms cool. Everything of worth seeing is close nearby and Fern is happy to offer any suggestions of things of interest you might want to see. The stay here is worth it!

Only place I could find in Songkgram. The owner is very friendly and she gave me lots of advice about things to do in other cities such as cha am. Facilities are good and free wi fi. Dorm bed was fine. Food there smelt nice, they cook chips! im cycling thailand and highly recomend this place for travellers or groups.

Very lovely place to stay, my partner and I only stayed for 2 nights but felt very welcome by the staff and very comfortable. The owner is amazing and goes out of her way to help her guests! The hostel is located quite central yet at night it is quiet and easy to sleep. It is very easy to get to places from the hostel and if you have any trouble the owner is happy to help as much as she can! Would definitely go back again in the future and would recommend to friends and family!

Very clean and cosy. Friendly owner who speaks English exceptionally well. Highly recommended. Oh, she has been traveling a lot too.

I can't say enough good things about this hostel or the owner. The hostel itself is super clean, has a nice common areas and good rooms. It's located right next to a large temple and tons of great street food. During my stay I got an infection in my leg from a cut I had received hiking. The owner went out of her way to bring me to the hospital and help translate everything the doctors said to me. She stayed with me for five hours while I was admitted. After this she would come back to bring me food and water and check in on me while I was there for a few days. She went out of her way to help me out when I needed it. If you want a great place to stay with a super kind owner, stay here.

Had a perfect stay at Hometown Hostel. The staff couldn't be more welcoming and helpful. The beds were long, mattresses comfortable and bunks super sturdy. The design of the whole hostel is amazing! Very cool place to stay.

Definate highlite of this town! The owner and staff are all great rooms are clean and quite comfortable and the morning breakfast is amazing! Would stay here again.

I stayed here for a short trip in maeklong in early october. Feel like at home as the owner warmly welcome us. As I'm muslim, the owner prepared with halal food for breakfast in the morning. Trip to Damnoen Saduak much easier, just ask the owner to call for tuktuk. Surely will come back here. Love this little town.
