I’ve been here for 3 nights with my family. Hotel and bedrooms are cute, great decoration. The first day it didn’t smell very good in our room, we told the direction about that and they solved the problem. I was a bit disappointed with breakfast : 1 egg 1 sausage 2 pieces of bread and a coffee, it’s minimalist ;) Overall I recommend this place to visit Bangkok, people are very nice!

Lovely hostel in a great location. Room was clean and spacious, decent sized bathroom and a nice rec area downstairs. Breakfast is provided, even if a bit basic. The coffee is great (I’d recommend trying the mocha). Total price for 3 nights was ~£90.00 — great value, would recommend :).

We really enjoyed our stay at Niras Bankoc cultural hostel. The lobby of the hostel is so cute and has a great, calm, and friendly vibe. The included breakfast was delicious and a huge perk! The hostel (rooms and bathroom) was nice and clean and the beds were comfortable. The hostel is also located across the street from world famous Pad Thai restaurant called, Thip Samai which we ended up going to twice! It is walking distance (about 20 min) to major sites and was accessible from the airport via the public bus, which was nice for our budget. The staff was friendly and helpful as well! Our only complaint was that the the door to our room was very noise when it opened and closed and lockers are made out of metal so they are extremely noisy as well when opening and closing, which can make it difficult to sleep if someone is coming in and out of the room.

Beautifully designed, friendly staff, lots of advice on where to visit etc. Private room is more like a hotel but with benefits of hostel e. G. Common room and cafe. Amazing location, walkable to most of key sights and great restaurants. Would highly recommend.

The coffee here is amazing, definitely worth stopping by for one! The rooms and bathrooms in the hostel were cozy & clean, but the air conditioning was set too high and we didn't have control, so some people got AC sick. Overall, good place to grab a coffee or sleep considering the price range.

The hostel is perfectly located. It is easy to get when you arrive to Bangkok and and as starting point for seeing all main attractions. You can start your visit from Golden Mount Temple which is just few minutes away from Niras. Other main sites like Grand Palace or Wat Phra are just 20 minutes walk. Just jump into a taxi and in 10-15 minutes will take you to Phaya Thai Train station and from there you can get straight to airport. The hostel looks great inside. Its has main hall where you can enjoy some drinks, food or just chat with other tourists. It is always air conditioned which is just perfect when you returned from your sightseeing. You can be sure that you will be always nicely welcomed and served by staff who work there. They were always keen to give an advice. We had a nice and clean room which was really good deal for the money we paid. We had breakfasts which were included in price, nothing crazy but fresh and nicely served. We started our travel in Thailand from staying there for two nights. Two weeks later on our way back when we dropped to Bangkok again we decided to stay there for our last day in Thailand. We highly recommend the place and we will definitely stay in Niras Bankoc Cultural Hostel if we are lucky again to visit Thailand. There is something very special about atmosphere in Niras.

We had booked a 4 bed room with toilet and shower which was very large with plenty of space. The rooms were a bit noisy because of the street, but that is probably normal in Bangkok. It was all very clean and well maintained. Also the staff was always helpful with questions and very nice. We would return at any time.

Totally cozy, and delicious food. Not so cheap (at least the food… for Bangkok conditions…) Very central. Can highly recommend it.

What a beautiful place! This 140 yo house has much character, friendly staff and delicious food. Its hard to find a place where you can feel at home away from your own and this hostel is just that home away from home. I'm pretty sure that next time I'm visiting Babcock I will be staying there! One thing to keep in mind, to visit temples, be sure to wear long pants and short sleeve top (not sleeves). Last day we were there could not enter because of out attire. Amazing place to visit!

Great hostel with a relaxed vibe. Not party hostel. Accommodated my late check in. Great breakfast made to order. Rooms are good size and ac is almost too cold (and that's not always bad ha). Bathrooms are fine. Towel included. Stayed in six person room, lots of space to move around. Includes lockers, but no lock (rentals available). Very helpful staff.

Very good service and atmosphere. Restaurant with good minutes and drinks.

Great hostel with delicious breakfast, alarm sound by opening the room doors annoying at night though; Great Streetfood right across the way until late at night; Party mile about 15min walk away.

Fantastic all round experience. Very tasteful design throughout. Comfortable lounge area suitable for working with tables, air conditioning and Wi-Fi. Decent cafe, and booking includes a free cooked breakfast — small and simple but much better than the usual hostel fare. Staff were friendly, helpful and professional. Close to the water bus station and a plethora of great food options.

Nice and clean hostel with a cozy atmosphere. We staid in the mixed dorm room for two nights. The staff was so friendly and helpful. Unique is the welcoming smell in the lobby — it feels like entering a french bakery.

I absolutely loved niras, in fact so much that i'm going back in a few days hahaha. It's a more quiet hostel, but still has a chill atmosphere to it. There aren't huge common areas as your typical backpacking hostels, but I did still meet new people and make friends, so I wouldn't worry about that too much. And there is no curfew so I mean if you do want to party and stay out late, you can still do that. Just not at the hostel.
the interior is beaaaaautiful, and the dorms we're spacious. Staff is friendly and helpful. Nice thing is you get a free towel (and breakfast is included). And the Wi-Fi connection was great! no problems facetiming etc.
just about the only bad thing I can think of is that I only got hot shower from one of the showers, but I really didn't mind because the bathroom facilites we're so beautiful and bangkok is anyway super hot. highly recommend coming to niras if you want a clean, safe, chilled out hostel!

The staff were very friendly and helpful, but in a very noisy street in the center of Bangkok, it is well worth it for its good location. Breakfast not very abundant but very rich. And especially the backpacking atmosphere and the common areas where you can be at ease.

We booked our room last minute and only found availability for a double room with shared bathroom. The room was quite spacious, decorated with nice furniture and showers are right next to your room which is not too bad however, the rooms are not in the main building but in a new one across a fairly busy street. For anything that you would need (like information from reception or going for breakfast) you would have to go to the main building. Staff was really sweet though and upgraded us free of charge and without asking to an en suite after our first two nights. Breakfast is free but it’s only some basic toast with scrambled eggs. We had to pay extra for some bacon, for orange juice and for coffee. Overall it’s a nice, clean, cozy hostel and it’s right across the street from a very good and highly recommended pad thai restaurant.

Fantastic hostel with friendly staff. There is yummy free breakfast and is right next to a night street food area. It is also a few minutes walk from a famous Pad Thai restaurant (get take out to skip the line). The rooms have comfy beds and each bed has a charging/light station. They make your bed and sometimes give you a new towel during your stay. There are lockers (lock provided) in the rooms as well.

I loved almost everything about this hostel! The rooms were nice, everything was super clean and comfortable, and the staff were friendly and helpful. There was a common room with computers and a TV so we could use the internet or watch a movie, which was nice. Breakfast was included which was really convenient, too. I only gave 4 stars because the showers didn't have hot water and they were renovating the top floor when we were there. It was super loud during the day. Other than that, I would highly recommend!

A clean and comfortable hostel in perfect position to explore the city centre. The beds are cosy and the staffs are always friendly and smiling, really enjoyed it!

My family of 4 enjoyed our time at Niras Bankoc. The staff were the highlight, friendly, helpful and attentive — particularly to our young daughters. The buildings are well designed and clean and the common rooms comfortable and inviting. The location is on a busy street, but we didn't notice much noise at night. Also right next to Thipsamai — the best Pad Thai we've had to date — and several street food vendors (great mango sticky rice). They also offer long term luggage sstorage. We will stay again.

Clean, amazing service, nice bed and bedroom (mattress good and air conditioner), hot water and, finally, perfect breakfast (cheap)!

This was our home away from home while in Bangkok. They treat you like family. The food is delicious. The rooms have ac. The facilities are clean. The showers are large. The decor is beautiful and comfortable. Highly recommend.

Clean, comfortable, friendly and helpful staff. Location is good if you want time away from the crazy Khaosan Road. Breakfast/meals is good choice of western or Thai and delicious coffees. The owners clearly decorated and kitted out amenities with the more discerning traveller in mind. Only major downside is rooms are basic and do not block out any noise when trying to sleep. The room we stayed in had a loud air con that also leaked meaning we could not sleep. Plus cleaner arrived at 5.30 am to clean showers and toilets noisily (she whistled whilst she worked). Overall a good experience that was let down by one bad room.

Super nice, the interior design is on par with many 3 star hotels. Everything is really clean, too. The staff are all very friendly and some are even really funny and great to converse with. It wasn't crowded at all. Only drawback are the prices — really steep for a hostel in Bangkok. Ah, I musn't forget: Over in the second building there's a common room with great PCs, a large table, bean bags, sofas, large brown mats (perfect for yoga or meditating in (half) lotus), and a TV. Loved working from there! Great for digital nomads who wanna get some work done.

The breakfast and coffee was great. I'm sure the stay would have been nice but unfortunately I can not speak to it.

This place was a total breath of fresh air for me, great friendly staff, facilities were spot on clean and tidy. Beds are world class of comfortability. Food is delicious, most importantly I felt very safe. I would recommend this place and would love to come back again if I am visiting.

One of the best place I've been in while traveling, where I really felt like home.
The house is splendid and clean, very nice ambiance setting and library, I met a lot of interresting travellers here, as well as a whole friendly helpful team of girls and boys, always smiling and there to help you! Delicious english-like food you'll never get rid of. The rooms are clean and comfy, I always slept very well.
And finally, the hostel's location is pretty much well placed, at 20mn walk from Khaosan, and the main temples on the river.

Positives: super friendly and helpful staff. Food nearby is famous across Bangkok. The showers are warm and have power to them. Negatives: bedbugs in the first room. Was a very unpleasant night, so make sure to check the beds. The hostel is clean, so I assume they were a recent arrival. It's also so far from things, a 50 bat negotiation every time you leave to go somewhere else. Some taxi drivers don't know where the hostel is.

Very friendly staff! Happy to help with planning and directions. Would return!
