I wanted so badly to fall in love with this hostel — its concept and raw industrial architecture style is very appealing. Unfortunately the design favored style over practicality, combined that with an extremely ill-maintained place I could now only make this a one-off stay. Check-in: We arrived at 1pm and was told rooms will only be ready by 3pm. Fair enough. Came back at 3pm and were told it’ll be 4pm instead. When the rooms are finally given to us, there were no bedsheets and pillow covers. Room design: We got a room with a spacious bathroom but it does not have a single rack or flat surface to us to place any toiletries or anything for that matter. Even the toilet bowl seat covers are slanted. I don’t understand how hard is it to install a small rack here. The sink could ask be fitted comfortably inside the bath but instead it was placed just next to the bed. Combined that with a shallow basin, we had unsightly water splashed all over even onto the bed. Amenities: Our room key card stopped working on the first night itself and we had to eventually switch to a different room. All the packing and unpacking was no fun. The hostel lobby was one of the most stuffy one that I have been as the staff were reluctant to turn on the AC.

Great place to stay. The rooms are cheap, you can sleep in a shared bedroom. The bed you pay for provides enough space for you and your belongings to be safe. All this, and a ten minutes walk to reach the heart of Bangkok.
