Absolutely 5/5, I stayed for 3 nights and had a lovely time at this hostel. The staff were so friendly & helpful giving excellent recommendations for restaurants nearby as well as organising fun activities — the trip to the floating market was a highlight of my time in Bangkok. They also provide free breakfast & shampoo & shower gel in the rooms. I stayed in a 4 bed all female dorm, the room & bathroom was incredibly clean!

Amazing hostel, would fully recommend staying here if you can. The place is social but not a party hostel so is the perfect mix of making friends and having fun but getting some sleep as well! Rooms have air con, free breakfast, awesome staff, nice roof top… It has it all.

Superb start to trip. Clean and comfortable in great location.
Fantastic host who is professional and caring, and passionate about her guests.
You will meet people and never be lonely, but if you want some space and quiet that is available.
I would return and recommend to my daughter, and that is as good as it gets 😊

Wonderful place! I had an absolute blast each day that I stayed here. Made so many friends here as a solo traveler, which was really easy as a lot of the guests were super nice and social. Things are super chill here whether you want to go out with others or just kick back and relax. The people running the hostel are very friendly and are always looking into organizing events to bring the guests together. My only regret when coming to Bangkok is not booking a room here sooner as I missed out on some really cool events like the community dinner! I'll definitely come back here when I return to Thailand.

Very good place, had a great time. (Nothing fancy, but clean, cozy and looks new) excellent for backpackers. The private room reminds small hotel room.

The staff were so friendly and welcoming! it really felt like home for the time I was there. The daily trips make it easy to meet other people. Ended up staying here for almost a week and honestly didn't really want to leave.
On top of the amazing staff this is one of the cleanest hostels I've been in, not just in Asia but ever. The air con in the room is great and the larger rooms even have curtains for privacy. The free breakfast was amazing… eggs and toast and fruit & snacks out throughout the day.
I can't wait to go back someday. Thank you for the amazing stay!

Lovely homely hostel, located within easy distance but just far enough from the craziness that is Khao San Rd.
Lovingly managed by Xi and a great crew of staff, free standard breakfast with plenty of fresh tropical fruit and DIY eggs in the well-equipped self-service kitchen. There's often some sweet local snacks from the street stalls brought in too, if you're adventurous enough to give them a go!
Activities wise, again, not a huge focus on partying or drinking, but more on local cultures and activities — think excursions to a local night market, exploring and climbing an abandoned mall for views of Bangkok, wakeboarding at a nearby lake, or visiting a temple and participating in a rebirth ceremony. All run with great care and enthusiasm by Xi herself!
Lovely and social, with a great common area and back terrace, but not a full-on party hostel. If that's what you're after you're best to look elsewhere. But if you're looking for a place that makes you not want to leave at the end of your stay, you need to book Jam Hostel now.

Went to Bangkok, lost my phone. Got a message from Jam hostel I lost it there and can pick it up :) also very comfy beds and nice hostel overall. Keep on keeping on Jam staff :)

Great hostel. Arrived late and was greeted with a smile and quick check in by staff. Kitchen available with staff offering to make breakfast. Fruit and cereals available too. Though the loud mad monkey hostel is next door, Jam hostel did not have any excess noise or noise from next door. Overall a quick and clean stay. Thank you!

His hostel right beside the mad monkey Bangkok. Now it’s cheaper then the mad monkey, has better rooms and accommodations like a lounge room with sofas and table and computer to get some work done, TV board games, an amazingly furnished kitchen, you can cook whatever free food And water (eggs toast noodles etc) at any time of the day. The staff is accommodating and super friendly. Two seven elevens In 30 second walking proximity. 5 minutes walk from khao san road, and 3 minute walk to nearest booking office for buses to the north or south. We stayed here and just tagged along to the mad monkey bar crawls. A must recommend.

I have traveled whole Southeast Asia and this is the best hostel ever! The stuff is so friendly and add a lot of value since they provide you with their local knowledge. The facility is modern and clean, location is TOP!

Great hostel, feels new and has a kitchen! Also lots of free stuff is included like towels and plenty of food. The staff is incredible and very nice, they really care about your experience. They do activities and show you the real Bangkok. Also there is a restaurant and a rooftop bar, and you can always go to mad monkey next door for party or to chill by the pool. Location is also ideal for backpackers. Also, all the older reviews are from what this place used to be before, they changed quite recently. 10/10 thank you!

Really nice experience! The manager Si (sorry if spelled wrong) was really helpful and helped me with all my questions. One of my best hostel experiences so far!

I rarely ever write comments and reviews on facebook. But I was having such a great experience at the Jam Hostel Bangkok that I feel inclined to make an exception here. I just stumbled across the hostel and I did not read any reviews or ratings beforehand. I was not expecting anything special, but I was wrong.
I arrived around noon and was immediately asked by the fabulous manager Roxy Ltao if I would want to join here and another guest to eat some seafood in a typical Thai restaurant and afterwards head to a classical concert. The seafood was some of the best I ever had and the classical concert was hosted by the beautiful Mahidol University. The wonderful music (pieces by Georges Bizet, Christopher Theofanidis and Antonín Dvořák) was played by the world-famous Thailand Philharmonic Orchestra. Truly a unique experience.
The next day she invited the guest to go to a local market which I enjoyed very much too. The manager is an educated and gentle woman who spares no effort to give her guests an authentic Bangkok experience.

Awesome place to stay, super clean and exactly what you want a hostel to be. Perfect location, modern furnishings and so many little things that really made such a difference (washer/dryer, coffee/tea, eggs & toast). The tours C put on were such an added bonus, and made my stay in Bangkok!

Originally had booked at Mad Monkey and was overfilled so we went to Jam Hostel and I am so happy that happened! Best hostel I’ve stayed at, met amazing people, the staff was amazing, especially C! 10/10 would recommend to anyone!

Nice staff, clean rooms and fresh towels/sheets every day. Really recommend the rooftop bar, food is a little "expensive" (~150 barth per meal) but great if you want high class authentic thaifood.

Really good location, especially for backpacker cause it's quiet and really close to Khaosan road! Nice roof top bar with good food! Rooms are cosy and have air conditioners :)

When we got here we thought the room was small since there is three of us (2 adults + child) we stayed for a week and loved it, quite and the staff are friendly, close to markets and tourist attractions with a rooftop bar and a excellent restaurant downstairs, 2 convenience stores nearby, highly recommended, very basic but clean.

Good overall. Good location, you can easily get the ferry or a bus to wherever you need to go and it's not a far walk to either. Shops all around too with a petrol station next door. Restaurant's are probably 5-10 minutes walk away if you don't want to eat in the restaurant downstairs/rooftop. The rooms are ok. The bed was a bit hard for my own liking but we got fresh towels and two bottles of water a day when the cleaners came in.

Staff speaks enough english, helpful, room gets cleaned every day, safty boxes, well located, roof top bar, good restaurant opposite for vegans and veggies, two 24 7 (11 7 called) shops opposite, lots of taxis stop all rooms have separate rest room, 5 min from khao san road ny foot. Traffic is a Little bit noisy so that's why I miss one star.

Good location, very clean but perhaps too loud for some people — I could hear an episode of the Simpsons down to every last "d'oh' at 4am on a Saturday night. I didn't really care but it could be annoying for others. Staff were friendly and were able to offer accurate advice in English.

TV hung too high, also, China sister wasn't at the front desk? Does quit? Hotel Wi-Fi is not to force …

Not bad, the room did not have enough furniture for things, but it's clean and no insects.
