Good facilities, easy assess, clean place, nice staff, chocolate muffins and breakfast buffet is awesome. Afternoon tea is not bad, mojito at happy hours is fantastic.

Been here 2 nights for an anniversary staycation with my cat. They said they would prepared everything (for my cat and little surprise) upon my arrival but nothing was prepared. The staff seemed attentive but I waited 2 hrs to get a cat litter box.

Plaza Athenee Bangkok hotel parking experience… not gooooood… I park ask the security if they want a stamp answer is yes… after brunch I ask stamp at reception desk who tells me for motocy not needed, I explain receptionist that I checked with parking security before and the want a stamp, she calls down to security who tells her no need, I come at parking and cannot leave because have no stamp, go up again show picture of stamped parking tickets and tell her that they want a stamp, she repeats no need. I demand hotel security to go down with me to parking as see no use in doing cardio between reception and parking as it is after all their staff and their company policy… the hotel reception security gets in an endless discussion with the parking security and my key is not in my Vespa anymore… because the lady wants 20 baht and a stamp… mind boggling! As if clients of a 5 star would cheat the hotel out of 20 baht… the management so has their own policies and rules not clear, communication is bad between them and the worst is that they reason from the base thinking “ the client is wrong” probably this will show in the rest of the place too… and then complaining that tourism is bad, yield for hotels goes down and it is all so difficult… well maybe the reason is that they should get organized and become client centered instead of arrogant and see a client as a milk cow!

Super clean and comfortable. Good size pool bit no life guard. Great service but not excellent. Will definitely come back. If you have money, this IS the place to book.

Wasn't an overnight guest at the hotel but spend some time at the lobby and at the bar. The lobby is very grand and large; it's impressive while remaining very classy. We were impressed with the cocktails at the bar but even more so with the atmosphere of having a life pianist playing classical music. The pianist was excellent and even came up to describe the music for us.

Wonderful 5-star hotel. We stayed here 3 nights exploring Bangkok. There's numerous malls within walking distance (or my the rail that is 3 minute walk away). The hotel itself has various restaurants that serve amazing breakfast (we didn't try evening meals, but I'm sure it is good). The hotel decorations are beautiful too and worth a look. For SPG (Marriott) Platinum members, there is also a lounge on the 26th floor.

First class hotel and wonderful service. I left my wedding ring in the bathroom and the maid set it aside for me. The next day it was waiting for me in the lobby. In addition to the wonderful service, you will find plenty to do nearby or hop on the bts to explore the city. Personally, I am just fine lounge around their urban oasis pool.

Hotel's interior was very good and breakfast at the lobby was great. But the problem is that the staffs are not an expert. Even though my friend was a platinum member we got many problems in here. I found a cockroach in the bathroom after getting the Royal athene prestige room. Also, when we had a breakfast at the first time, staff at the restaurant said we were not on the list. This hotel need to improve the service quality and staff's attitude. Because of some problems, we were really uncomfortable during the stay.

Hotel with great service! Probably the best SPG in Bangkok I can come up with. From the suite to the club lounge, from the breakfast to the French dinner. Staff are all very helpful and polite. The royal lounge have a nice hot plate offering, very decent one which you can seldom see from other hotels. Royal suite is lovely, not the biggest I’ve stayed but definitely good enough.

One of the nicest hotels in Bangkok!

I did not stay as a guest here but writing review of the parking. I was in need of parking which is very hard to find in Bangkok. I saw the parking sign when I approached the hotel so decided to give it a try. I have no complaint's about the facility but rather the cost. I was parked there from 0830 to 1600 and the cost for less than 8 hours parking was nearly $30.00 USD (850 BAHT) … I did not see a sign with parking rates when I entered and maybe this is the norm in Bangkok. The hotel is beautiful and very upscale. I would consider staying here the next time I have USA Embassy business to take care of as it is very close to the Embassy.

Amazing place, Amazing people, a real once in a lifetime experience of luxury. A genuine approach offer not just a 5 star hotel but 5 star luxury. The level of service and surroundings make this even a reason to come to Thailand for a holiday.

This place is absolutely incredible! The beds are so comfortable I could spend days in it, but if I did then I would miss out on the amazing scent of lemongrass that wafts through the corridors. I would miss the amazing breakfast at the downstairs cafe. I would miss the gorgeous pool and well equipped gym. The place is pristinely clean and the staff always warm and welcoming. I can't imagine staying at any other hotel while in Bangkok!

Excellent breakfast & seminar arrangement. This review is intended for buffet breakfast & seminar room only. Breakfast buffet: excellent variety of food. Good taste. Beautiful & easy access setting. Good value for the money. Kitchen staff are attentive & eager to help. Seminar room: Spacious. Great quality of equipments to run the seminar smoothly. Snacks & drinks during the break are quite nice. Restrooms are adequate.

Clean and comfortable.

Great service and we received chocolates every night and a cake for our honeymoon. It’s close to public transport and walking distance to central Embassy. Easy to get from the airport. It also have a nice pool area for you to relax on level 4.

As the owner of the Platinum Card network Starwood, try to stay in hotels of this network. Never loved Le Meridien but this hotel was above my expectations. Excellent service, friendly executive staff, great Club Lounge and spa, wonderful breakfast with fresh coconuts. Located in a quiet city part of the city with several prestigious malls next door. Large pool with comfortable sunbeds and a nice spa. And low price of accommodation. Recommend.

First off… The beds! Thai beds tend to be a little harder mattress-wise, but you will absolutely sleep like a dream at the Athenee Hotel. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay here — lovely festive atmosphere for Christmas, comfortable rooms with fresh fruits and sweet treats during turn down service, and great staff.

Spacious rooms, with all luxury details and nice views. They offer daily turndown service.
Full buffet breakfast, with many varieties and types of cuisine.
The visit to the pool and its garden, with excellent views of the city, is almost mandatory in this city.

Excellent value for the luxury traveler. Breakfast buffet included in room rate offers superb selection of Thai, Chinese, American, and halal but the fruits of Asia are the star of this buffet along with the pastries in which they are also featured. Newly renovated rooms are impeccably appointed and totally quiet and well appointed in massive spreads of teak wood paneling and silk wallpapers. Fitness and pool areas are modern and comfortable. Nice pool bar too. Lobby bar and evening buffet rivals Shangri La’s. I will make this my go to hotel over any of the other luxury properties in Bangkok this year. Location matters in the traffic snarled city center of Bangkok, and here you are walking distance to sky train and Bangkok’s best shopping.

This is by far one of my favorite places to stay. It is definitely in my top 3 hotels. The staff were kind, warm, respectful and knowledgeable. The rooms were super clean and the service was great. The hotel is also central to a lot things. One staff member was outstanding during busy times in the dining area. Nattaya, a staff member, works in the dining area provided an amazing service. She was attentive, quick to respond to inquiries, hard-worker and warm.

I only went there for breakfast and this one was really the best I've ever had in my travel life. I never saw so many options on a buffet. And the quality of all ingredients was super fresh. Thank you very much for this delicious breakfast!

Very luxurious hotel, centrally located, near restaurants and public transportation. Very easy access to sky train. Vast buffet breakfast options. Fast and reliable internet throughout the property. Rooms are very spacious with all the amenities one would expect. Exceptionally helpful staff. Beautiful pool with western and Thai food options. Highly recommend for business or leisure travelers.

Good place to stay. The rooms are comfortable and the hotel provides all amenities. Appreciate the excellent room service we got. Only drawback was the heavy traffic that made entry and exit into the hotel a nightmare during peak hours.

Well, this is my ultimate place for staying at Bangkok. I feel very comfortable staying here. It may not be the best 5-star option at Bangkok but it meets my requirements.

This is an excellent, luxurious hotel, located close to the embassies in Bangkok. It is actually part of a large complex with many restaurants and buildings nearby, including the Central Embassy mall. The lobby is grand, the check-in process was quick, especially for SPG members, and the room was very comfortable. Breakfast was vast, with many options from different cuisines, from Chinese to American to Indian. There is also an easily accessible ATM inside the hotel. If you are looking for old world charm and splendor, this is a good option.

Very nice Starwoods Hotel — the breakfast is fantastic, the crew super friendly and accommodating. There is an outside pool giving you the option to get an hour in the sun, if you have time during your visit. Huge well equipped fitness center. Get a room at one of the executive floors and you will be able to enjoy catering in the big lounge of the 26th floor.

Best 5 stars luxury hotel in bangkok.

Compared to hotels of the same price around the area it is less exciting, however being an spg hotel it would be a safe and fairly predictable choice, with all the amenities needed, comfortable room and good service.

Beautiful hotel right in the heart of CBD. Well appointed rooms and stellar service. Very very courteous staff who went out of the way. Great breakfast and the room service dinner was very nice.

Still ok, but royal club lounge is only average now… PLAZA Athenee used to have the best club lounge… Even courtyard by Marriott has a better lounge now…

Truly a home away from home. The staff are really warm and friendly and makes you feels so welcome there. Although they don't serve Halal food for breakfast the choices of vegetarian and seafood and pastries will still spoil you. BTS (subway/rail) is less than 5 minutes away and getting around to the main shopping area is within walking distance.

This is the best hotel I've ever stayed at. It's a dream hotel! There is so much to explore inside and the staff are so amazing! The restaurant has great food. My favorite part by far was the pool! there were a lot of renovations taking place while I was there so some areas I did not get the chance to see but this is a world class hotel!

Easily the nicest hotel I've ever stayed in.

Out of the Meridien hotels, this is so far my very favourite. Rooms are great, service even better. Good location and close to BTS. When I visit Bangkok for work, this is my prefered hotel.

A bit pricey but worth spending. Premier service for all guests regardless of spg status. The food is just a bit pricey (min 800thb, almost a price of buffet dinner in thailand). When you're leaving too early, they will prepare a breakfast box for you so you have something to eat before you go to airport.

Amazing and great place and close to the malls.

Absolutely the beta place to dine in style. It's a bit old but expensive and who wants to show his cash this is the place. Dinner costs 1600thai baht.

I stayed 6 days in Starwood Preferred Guest level, 23th floor. It was just amazing experience. Room is spacious and clean with refrigerator and 42 inch LED satellite TV. Tea/coffee maker. I get free access to 26th floor executive lounge.

This hotel may be one of your choice for the wedding (but as you know, it's pretty high cost). Food is good taste. I also love their Chinese restaurant. One thing I don't like is its location. Traffic jam around there. If you use a sky train, the hotel provides a shuttle bus near the station taking you to the hotel.

Stayed here as part of my honeymoon. The place is fantastic and the staff are a great help. Would definitely recommended spending the money for club access.
