Beautiful high end hotel right next to the beach with a view to to die for. The hotel has awesome instagramable spots. Wi-Fi was available but not that reliable. The wait staff was very friendly and helpful. Food and drinks are also great but I was not really impressed by their wine selection. Is a really great location for hosting a party.

Was at Golden Tulip Oysterbay Tanzania with colleagues of mine from 3 — 12 Aug 18. Reception was nice, ambience good and mmm, great view. Over looking the Indian Ocean with great view and good outdoor sitting area. I could feel the water splash from the ocean. Rooms are nice overlooking the Indian Ocean, meals equally good and a good night life. To cap it all up? A lovely swimming pool sitting just a d edge of the Indian Ocean. Thought it was initially expensive for its fare but had a change of mind. Nice and exquisite place to be.

I live near here and used to love this place for swimming but after today I'm not sure if I can go back. The pool was extremely dirty. We ordered a pizza, the wind blew away half before it reached our table and we had to pay full price. International-quality service? Hardly.

Golden Tulip jiyo pizza's are good nice thin crust and the salad was also good.

Amazing views off the cliff facing the Indian ocean… great place for conferences too with halls capable of handling over 150people (my own estimate) which comes complete with speach translation equipment and their public address systems are not problematic.

This is NOT a good hotel with lots of different restaurants. I hated their cafe with desserts. Unfortunately they need to build more parking space. You sometimes have to go and park your car in areas with terrible space where it is not safe. For such a big hotel they need to step that up. I also like the security at the gate. It is makes you feel good in this day and age. One thing I suggest is a place for children to play and enjoy as well as baby sitting servicesso adults can get grown up time. The price of drinks is atrocious. I had a party there they charged us150, 000 shillings for a bottle of konyagi that us 12, 000 shillings in normal stores. What sort if markup is that? The service is also horrible… the management doesn't care for your complaints. I would never recommend it to anyone.

This hotel need renovations. Umbrella broke just 3 umbrellas for the pool. Crazy price my daughter wanted to swimming at 5.45pm pool closed at 6pm. Reception wanted I pay 20 000 shillings for 10 minutes I deal for 10 000. The pool staff were so kindly and helpful.

Really good place to relax near the sea… Also the meals and the service is perfect! In price reference the stay is quite beautiful.

This is a lovely hotel with a well maintained pool and good rooms. Its not as popular as it used to be which could be q good thing or a bad thing depending on what you’re looking for. Theres a newly opened restaurant and bar in the area called Jiko which has a nice view and ambience to it however the cocktails are rather overpriced compared to other restaurants in the area. Its also a great spot for big events/crowds such as weddings and festivals. This is where the holi festival of colors usually takes place. All in all its worth going to a drink or two at the place.

Pool wasn’t at all as nice as the images lead you to believe. The yellow-ish tint in the water is not some exotic tile color. It’s dirt. A layer of dirt on the bottom. As you stepped in it, your foot prints remained in it. The entire pool are could do with a renovation or at least with a bit or maintenence.

Had an Amazing evening at JIKO @ Golden Tulip Msasani. Amazing Pizza, Indian Food and Collection of Drinks, and special thanks to Mr. Raj for his excellent service and hospitality.

Quiet, Cool place to chill out during the weekend with great beach views. Good thing it not crowded at all.

Golden Tulip was good for the view and the price for Dar EsSalaam, comfortable clean room, very friendly staff willing to help with any questions or concerns. Would consider staying again of I were ever to return to Dar EsSalaam.

I feel sorry for this place, great location and view and huge building but unfortunately the hotel is not taken care of and customer service is poor, that explains why a wonderful place like this is empty. Hope they will notice and take care of the place.

Customer service is extremely poor, there is no respect of common courtesy for guests here. Valuables were stolen by workers. I had paid $102 USD to stay at the Golden Tulip for all of 5 hours and I did not expect much from this hotel since it does not have good ratings but I definitely did not expect for one of the workers there to STEAL MY VALUABLE JEWELLERY. I woke up and checked out of the hotel at 6am, and only 10 minutes after getting into my cab did I realize that I forgot my 2 rings on the bed of my hotel room which were a gift and were made of real gold. Now I know it was a mistake not to go back right away to get them. Instead I called the receptionist and they told me they had not found it but they will call me back. I was thinking they have to be there, if its not then someone took them because they cannot be anywhere else. After calling multiple times to get the same answer, I went to the hotel myself. I met with the housekeeper, the assistant manager and the manager and they did not take me or the situation seriously. They acted as if it happens all time and its done, so there's no point in doing anything. For a matter such as theft by a worker I expected at least to be escorted into an office, however, I was left in the lobby to wait for an hour where there was no A/C for the security camera team. The person in charge of CTV informed me that the cameras have been down for maintenance.

The hotel is great, good rooms and views. Friendly staff. But very hostile to photographers, charging insane rates for photoshoots even if you have a room.

Sleep and work up with the sunrise from the beach one of the best hotels In dar love there pool side and its nice for hosting events from the open ground to the Big tent hotel food is nice and the rooms have space with nice sea view from inside.

Good place to relax. Only disadvantage is that there is no beach or direct access to sea so if you are looking for a beach try somewhere else.

Just went for a swim n there was hardly anyone at the pool. The pool was well maintained. Spent a wonderful afternoon. The view of the Indian Ocean is fabulous. The hotel is located at the edge of a rock hence does not have its own beach.

The facility at golden tulip is wonderful. I had requested for special private candle light dinner and the preparations by Mr Gregory and Mr Steve was excellent. I highly recommend this place. Mr Gregory and Mr Steve are an asset to Golden Tulip Hotel. Thanks for making my special day even more special.

Nice hospitality, beautiful sea view, hard working staff… Rooms needs some make over.

The faculty here is really helpful and so is the food but they have a quite weird policy about paying to seat by the pool side even though you paid entrance and you're going to buy food there.

Best views of Oysterbay and the sea. The cliffs are 20m high. Good 180d view of city and peninsula. Open spaces and clean swimming pool. Didn't like food.

It's a really fancy place lots of outdoor space but just not Enough activities there is no place for any sport and the hall way is empty. But I will give points for the food.

The place in itself is not bad. For the price you pay, you get a very honest deal. Average view of the Indian Ocean. Only problem they have is very limited food menu and an extremely poor breakfast…

Except the view and the nice pool the hotel should be avoided, staff is not professional and not attentive, rooms are old and ill equipped, facilities in poor shape the hotel almost looks abandoned.

One of the best locations but it's quite dead. I wish they can make it more lively, probably introduce a nice beach side restaurant. Great for weekend swim and relaxing by the pool.
